National Defense May 2022
National Defense provides authoritative coverage of business and technology trends in defense and homeland security. The major theme for the May 2022 issue is Special Operations. This May issue will be distributed in the conference bags and available for pick up throughout the Tampa Convention Center at SOFIC. SOFICTV
SOFICTV is the official media network for SOFIC. With two ways to share your story, there is an opportunity for everyone to be seen. The SOFICTV news crew can visit your booth for an in-person interview or if you have a video created and ready to go, the products and services promo video is a great option for you. The channel has had 56,239 views in total since its start in 2014, having 20,602 views in 2017 alone. Keep in mind that this is a highly targeted audience.

The main exhibit hall may be sold out, but there is still an opportunity to exhibit in Ignite!
Ignite – Small Business Exhibit Opportunity
Back by popular demand, we have expanded the Ignite pavilion to its own dedicated exhibit hall at the JW Marriott in the Tampa Bay Ballroom, directly across the street from the Tampa Convention Center. Other conference activities, including PEO Overview: SOF Digital Application and PEO Overview: SOF Warrior sessions, will also be taking place at the JW Marriott.
Ignite will feature approximately 50-75 small businesses with innovative products and services to display to the SOF community.
The deadline to submit your application has been extended to March 16, 2022. Your organization must be a small business and qualify for one of the focus areas listed in order to be selected. Visit the Ignite website for more information and to apply today!
Outdoor Space at SOFsail and SOFlanding

SOFlanding is the ideal space to display a vehicle or heavy machinery/equipment. This area is a completely revamped parking lot that offers a one-of-a-kind destination for all SOFIC attendees. Located across from the Franklin Street entrance of the Tampa Convention Center, SOFlanding features local Tampa Bay food trucks that invite attendees outdoors each day for lunch.
SOFsail is the ideal space to display lightweight items. This area is a brand-new addition to the Tampa Convention Center and offers waterfront views with plenty of shading. Located next to the Front Drive and The Sail Restaurant & Bar, this area is sure to attract attendees each day.

Interested in hosting a social event during SOFIC?
Per 5 C.F.R. 2635.204(g), your event must be designated as an approved “Widely Attended Gathering” for executive branch employees, to include DoD members, to be able to attend.
If you would like to submit your event for review, please complete the form and return it to SOFIC@socom.mil no later than April 22, 2022. Late submissions will not be considered.
