SIG SAUER Launches New P322 Rimfire Pistol

NEWINGTON, N.H., (March 22, 2022) – SIG SAUER is pleased to officially announce the P322, the all-new, U.S. designed and manufactured 22 rimfire pistol.  The P322 offers an unprecedented 21 round capacity, is optics ready and suppressor ready right out of the box, all at an affordable price point.

The SIG SAUER P322 is a 22 rimfire pistol with class-leading 21 round capacity that offers a low-cost shooting experience in an ergonomic design with incredibly easy takedown for disassembly.  It features a stainless-steel frame and a polymer grip with a 1913 rail and integrated magwell.  The SAO hammer-fired action on the P322 is completely enclosed and the pistol features an alloy slide that is optic ready and compatible with the new ROMEOZero Elite.  The high visibility fiber-optic front sight and the fully adjustable fiber-optic rear presents a crisp, easy to see sight picture, while the front and rear cocking serrations ensure effortless slide manipulation.  The P322 is suppressor ready and includes a threaded barrel adapter, as well as a flat and curved interchangeable trigger shoe.  The P322 features fully ambidextrous controls including manual safety and reversible magazine catch that make it ideal for both right and left-handed shooters.  The pistol ships with (2) 20-round magazines and a custom designed magazine loader (extended 25-round magazines available as accessory purchase).  The P322 pistol is optimized for use with the SIG SAUER SRD22X Suppressor, FOXTROT1X light , and ROMEOZero Elite Micro Red-Dot sight.

The fact that not only can you now insert your handgun with a red dot slide mounted optic, but you can also aim with it via the MCK, there will be no need to disassemble your optic as you had to do in previous generations. The internal cleaning mechanism along with the dual folding Stabilizer/Stock make the Gen 3 the best conversion kit we ever have made.”

One of the top items on the MCK wish list was a way to keep the red dot optic integrated on the pistol while incorporating it into the conversion kit. The MCK GEN3 chassis not only allows a seamless and perfect fit of the optic-mounted pistol, but the user will not have to zero the optic when using it with the conversion kit. Simply insert, lock, and the user is ready, pistol-mounted optic and all.

Another common concern was the fouling of the slide during operation and the need to remove the pistol for cleaning more often than desired. CAA’s engineers and designers have come up with a brilliant solution, the CAA “Car Wash System.” Similar to drive-through car washes, the built-in pistol cleaning system uses a brush/bristle system to clean the front of the slide during cycling, removing carbon build-up, without damaging the slide’s finish.

Speaking of cleaning, the new front adaptor now shields the internal parts of the MCK from any carbon build-up. Plus, the adaptor is easily removed for cleaning.

While the stabilizer/stock on the MCK Conversion Kits is unique and the best in the nation, CAA’s left-hand customers weren’t being serviced. Now, the stabilizer/stock on the MCK GEN3 is ambidextrous, folding either right or left, and can be fired while folded for immediate response to a threat. The MCK GEN3 stabilizer/stock not only folds left or right but also adjusts in height. Two height options are available: one (lower position) option for using when shooting with an RMR/slide-mounted optic, and two (upper position) when employing any type of red dot/optic on the top of the Picatinny rail.

Additional new features found only on the MCK GEN3 include a new charging handle system that uses a backplate adaptor, thus negating the reliance on the slide serrations to cycle the handgun; removable rear and front top Picatinny rails that allow the user to better customize their MCK GEN3 chassis; and an improved spare magazine holder that operates with a magazine catch and magazine release button.

ZEISS announces the release of the all-new ZEISS LRP S5 first focal plane riflescopes. The new long-range riflescopes from ZEISS include high-performance optics, best-in-class total elevation travel, highly repeatable, precise, and tactile turrets as part of a compact and heavy-duty riflescope – with a daytime visible illuminated reticle. Furthermore, these scopes offer two new first focal plane reticle designs – and are available in either milliradian (MRAD) or minute-of-angle (MOA). The ZEISS LRP S5 is designed, engineered, and manufactured in Germany and is built to withstand up to a massive 1,500 g-force of recoil. The product family consists of two models: 318-50 and 525-56 and is available in four unique configurations – all with 34 mm main tubes.
“For longer-range shooting, precision is crucial. With our new ZEISS LRP S5 we have decisively expanded our product line to provide an elite riflescope that can dominate at every competition,” states Kyle Brown – Director of Marketing and Product for Carl Zeiss SBE, LLC. “With the compact and heavy-duty design of these riflescopes we have validated and proven that they are ready to tackle the toughest shooting competitions and the most difficult hunts”, emphasized Brown.

The optical system delivers exceptional image quality and renders the finest of details.

The premium optical design utilizes ZEISS Fluoride lens elements, SCHOTT glass and ZEISS’s proprietary T-Star lens coatings for optimum color fidelity, image brightness, exceptional resolution and edge-to-edge sharpness within the entire field-of-view. The scopes deliver 90% light transmission to the eye, clearer visuals, faster target identification and validation of the finer details down range. The exterior facing lenses are final coated with ZEISS LotuTec protective lens coating process for anti-fogging and to repel water, dust, dirt, fingerprints and more.

Tactile and Highly Repeatable Turrets – Precise shot placement, regardless of distance.

The ZEISS LRP S5 riflescopes offer an external elevation turret with larger font sizes and dual row engraving. The turret also incorporates the mechanically robust ZEISS Ballistic Stop feature, which provides a rock-solid return to zero. In addition, the all-new ZEISS External Locking Windage Turret (ELWT) feature allows the shooter to pull out on the locking collar, make necessary adjustments, and then lock-in the selected setting.
The MOA-based turrets are adjustable with .25 MOA click values and offer 30 MOA of travel per rotation. Each click is audible and provides a tactile confirmation for every adjustment. The MRAD turret features a more pronounced click at whole MRAD intervals.
The 3-18×50 and 5-25×56 scopes offer best-in-class – 140 MOA or 40.7 MRAD – total elevation adjustment which enables shooters to engage targets up to 1500 yards – and beyond. When combined with the side parallax adjustment, infinitely variable reticle illumination, and a European-style fast focus eyepiece the ZEISS LRP S5 allows the shooter to precisely engage the most distant targets.

Two new illuminated reticles ZF-MOAi and ZF-MRi provide intuitive aiming solutions

ZEISS also introduces two all-new First Focal Plane (FFP) reticles. The ZF-MOAi and the ZF-MRi illuminated reticles represent MOA and MRAD smart reticle designs respectively. Each incorporate distinct, clean, and easy-to-understand reference marks along the main horizontal and vertical lines of the reticle; and they offer relevant windage hold-offs in the field-of-view below centerline. Both offer fine line reticle subtensions and floating center dots to serve the demands of precision shooters and long-range hunters alike.
Only the center section of each reticle illuminates to provide a finer point of aim while viewed against dirty targets or in harsher lighting conditions. The diffractive reticle illumination technology is digitally controlled, creates an ultra-bright daylight visible point-of-aim, and has an auto-off feature controlled by angle and time sensors. These two new reticles provide very intuitive aiming solutions for improved shooting speeds and for extremely precise shot placement.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

The 22nd Annual S&ET Conference planning team continues to monitor COVID-19 as the health of our event participants, members, and partners remain our top priority. We are committed to following the guidelines and precautions as outlined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Attendees can expect to see the following at NDIA events:

PROOF OF VACCINATION: All attendees will be required to provide proof of vaccination or proof of negative COVID-19 test within 72-hours of badge pick up. Details for securely providing documentation will be provided on the event website.
MASKS: Fully vaccinated attendees are encouraged to wear face masks but, in accordance with CDC guidance, may make that choice for themselves. If you are not fully vaccinated, you are required to wear a face mask in public places.
WAIVER: All registrants are required to sign the COVID-19 waiver during the online registration process. Attendees may disclose their vaccination status at the time of signing.
CLASSIFIED DAY: For any event taking place at U.S. Southern Command, masks will be required indoors, and Form DD3150 is required.

The 2022 SOFIC planning team continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation as the health of our event participants, members, and partners remains our top priority. We are committed to following the guidelines and precautions as outlined and attendees can expect to see the following at 2022 SOFIC. If requirements change, we will notify all SOFIC registrants as soon as possible.

PROOF OF VACCINATION: All attendees will be required to provide proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
MASKS: Fully vaccinated attendees are encouraged to wear face masks but, in accordance with CDC guidance, may make that choice for themselves. If you are not fully vaccinated, you are required to wear a face mask in public places.
WAIVER: All registrants are required to sign the COVID-19 waiver during the online registration process. Attendees may disclose their vaccination status at the time of signing.
SOCIAL DISTANCING: Additional venue space will be available to allow for attendees to spread out.

Nominees must have made significant contributions that have led to the strengthening of our national security by the direct application of precision strike capabilities to DoD systems and/or to the enhancement of our industrial technology base in shaping precision strike technology.

The 2-Day Precision Rifle Series (PRS) National Match Regional Qualifier took place March 12 – 13, 2022 at the Cool Acres Sporting Camp in Swainsboro, Georgia.

Over 120 competitors competed at the MPA Spring Shootout, which was held March 12 – 13, 2022 at Cool Acres Sporting Camp, located in Swainsboro, Georgia. The MPA Spring Shootout is a Precision Rifle Series (PRS) 2-Day National Match Regional Qualifier, and one of three Regional Qualifiers in the Southeast for the 2022 season. “The MPA Spring Shootout finished up this past weekend and I could not be prouder of our Team MPA Shooters at the match for performing so well despite what Mother Nature threw at them. Competitors running MPA Chassis had eight of the Top 10 Finishes in the match, a clear indication of how well our systems perform during competition. Congrats to all the winners and top place finishers,” commented Phil Cashin, owner of MPA.

“In the game today, you have so many options to choose from. What distinguishes Masterpiece Arms from the rest of the competition is constant innovation. As a result, MPA has an answer for seemingly every situation you come across in competition. This weekend the MPA Matrix Chassis was the perfect answer and it showed. It was an assertive message; I was able to come out on top and the MPA chassis accounted for eight of the top 10 placings,” Morgun King remarked.

(March 2022) – ATN, Corp., an industry leader of innovative optics for civilian, law enforcement, and the military, have donated $300,000 to The Gorta Group, an NGO established in 1965 to serve people and communities in war zones and conflicts, to provide humanitarian and medical relief to Ukraine.

The Gorta Group CEO, Ray Jordan, arrived in neighboring Slovakia on the same day the Russians invaded Ukraine. With his senior staff, the organization procured partnerships with the Ivano Frankvisk Hospital No. 2, the Slovakian Foreign Ministry, two Slovak NGOs, secured a warehouse in Vysne Nemecke, and secured vehicles and drivers to cross the border. By early March, The Gorta Group was providing welfare and medical services for refugees and delivering non-medical items, including much-needed flour for Ukrainian bakeries.

Currently, The Gorta Group has three warehouses and distribution centers (two in Ukraine, one in Slovakia), two hospitals in Ivano Frankvisk, Ukraine receiving medical supplies, and one regional food distribution center, also located in Ivano Frankvisk. The Gorta Group’s dedicated staff has decades of experience in managing large-scale food and non-medical item distribution to marginalized communities and communities ravaged by conflict.

Marc Vayn, founder of ATN Corp, an American citizen born in Kyiv, Ukraine, has been in Bulgaria, assisting with efforts to move desperately needed products to the Ukrainian citizens in their defense against Russian troops. ATN set up a donation platform, of which Vayn donated $100K of his personal funds to the cause. The ATN fund currently has raised $170K for the cause.

Vayn explained, “ATN’s donation of $300,000 will go far to provide food and non-medical supplies to refugees fleeing and remaining within Ukraine. The very act of supplying Ukrainian bakeries with flour to keep producing bread for the citizens is an act of defiance in the face of all those who would seek to destroy a peaceful, democratic country’s government. ATN will continue to stand by our brothers and sisters in their fight for freedom.”

Caimano Nero N.A. is the non-automatic version of the tactical knife that Extrema Ratio has supplied to the G.O.I. (Operational Raiders Group) of the Italian Navy.

The blade is a 4 mm thick asymmetrical spear point. The serrated part of the edge allows to cut highly-resistant cables and fabrics without losing its sharpening.

The bottom part of the handle is designed to enhance the grip for a rapid extraction of the knife from the pocket. It is also equipped with a hard-metal glass breaker.

The DLC-coated titanium clip can be positioned in three different angles on both sides allowing to conceal the knife as much as possible inside the pocket.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – March 17, 2022 – Blackhawk®, a leader in law enforcement and military equipment for over 20 years, congratulates tactical athlete Zach Rodman on his first-place finish in the Men’s Elite Division of the Tactical Games Utah. The two-day competition, which hosted close to 200 competitors, took place March 12-13 at the Southern Utah Practical Shooting Range in Washington, Utah.

Rodman, a 15-year veteran of the Kokomo, Indiana, police force and SWAT team, utilized Blackhawk’s T-Series holster and new Foundation Series Tac Nylon gear, including plate carrier, belt, and pouches throughout the competition.

“Zach is off to a great start this season, placing 6th at the Meridian event and then following it up with a fantastic first place finish in Utah,” said Courtney Tiziani, brand marketing manager for Blackhawk. “The Men’s Elite Division is arguably the toughest classification in the Tactical Games, and it’s been no surprise to see Zach and his gear performing at an optimal level.”

DJI Mini 2 and Mini SE now supported in Litchi for iOS

Litchi pilots, we know you have been waiting for this! We are happy to announce that the Mini 2 and Mini SE are now fully supported in Litchi for iOS 2.12.

Flying an Air 2S? Be sure to update to the recently released Air 2S firmware v02.04.21.50 in which DJI fixed the issue where the gimbal’s position is not reported in Litchi. This update means the Air 2S is now fully supported in Litchi for Android 4.21.3.

We have also added support for the Air 2S in Litchi for iOS 2.12, however be aware that currently you can only do one autonomous or semi-autonomous flight per launch of Litchi on iOS. After that flight, a restart of Litchi is required in order to start a new one. This is caused by a bug in the DJI iOS SDK which we have reported to DJI and hope they will fix soon.

FN Announces Safety Recall for the FN 502 Tactical

FN ANNOUNCES SAFETY RECALL FOR THE FN 502 TACTICAL

(McLean, VA – March 17, 2022) FN America, LLC announces a safety recall for the FN 502 Tactical .22LR pistol, which was previously the subject of FN’s January 27, 2022 safety bulletin. The original concern involved a missing manual safety lock lever in a small number of FN 502 Tactical pistols that would allow the discharge of the pistol when the trigger is pulled with the manual safety in the SAFE position. While investigating this issue with Umarex, the supplier of the FN 502 Tactical, we encountered a separate concern with proper installation of the manual safety lock lever. Consequently, if forced by multiple pulls of the trigger in succession, or if the pistol is jarred, an unintended firing may happen when the manual safety is in the SAFE position.

Because the safety of our customers is our primary concern, FN is voluntarily issuing a recall to address this newly discovered issue involving the safety and advising all owners of the FN 502 Tactical with a serial number lower than LR010300 to suspend use of their pistol and return the pistol to FN for repair or replacement in accordance with the recall instructions.

March 22-24, 2022: Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. will be showcasing new satellite capabilities at Satellite 2022. This marks the first time Rafael is participating in Satellite 2022 and will be showcasing new technologies and capabilities in the Washington, D.C. based space exhibition.

Throughout the exhibition Rafael will be displaying the LiteSatTM HR2C (Very High Resolution & High Revisit Constellation) which features unique capabilities in the global space market. The LiteSat HR2C is specifically designed to enable the effective deployment of a large constellation with true high revisit capabilities. With almost UAV-like potential from space, it can complete highly demanding tactical missions that require revisit rates of less than 10 minutes. It is the first end-to-end space Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) platform designed from the ground up to provide military-grade, very high resolution, high revisit, and multi-sensor capabilities. LiteSat HR2C provides 30 cm resolution through an Electro-Optical payload fused with a Synthetic-aperture Radar (SAR) payload (in the same satellite). LiteSat’s payloads are based on Rafael’s extensively proven, industry-leading electro-optical capabilities which are demonstrated in the world’s most widely-used targeting pod, Litening, and the RecceLite reconnaissance pod. Imagery from LiteSat is then accessed, processed, and fused by the multi-mission, multi-management ImiLite Ground Exploitation System; An Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning based Exploitation Center, the ImiLite GES will also be displayed at the exhibition in Washington, D.C.
