Ammunition Depot Introduce The Prepper and The Prepper Battle Pack

Optimized for easy identification, long storage life and ready to use today or tomorrow.

Boca Raton, Fla. (May 2018) – Ammunition Depot takes their Latin lessons seriously with their new The Prepper and The Prepper Battle Pack products. “Si vis pacem, para bellum” translates to “If you want peace, prepare for war.” Attributed to Publius Flavius Vegetius Renatus and his De Re Militari published sometime in the 4th or 5th century, the statement is behind the 2nd Amendment philosophy that Ammunition Depot whole heartedly supports; that peace is possible only when the people are armed and able to defend themselves. And guns without bullets are a weak defense.

The Prepper and The Prepper Battle Packs take the hard work of assimilating and packaging ammo in two easily identifiable and accessible systems. The Prepper is today’s take on a “spam can” filled with 1,000 rounds of ammo in a heavy duty, stackable tub. The gasketed lid is air tight and waterproof with a tear strip for quick access when needed. Ammunition Depot carries The Prepper boxes in all the popular brands:

  • Blazer Brass
  • Federal (American Eagle, Gold Medal Match, Hi-Shok, Premium and Tactical)
  • Fiocchi
  • MFS
  • Perfecta
  • PMC
  • Remington
  • Speer
  • Winchester

The Prepper Battle Pack offers a huge variety of ammo choice in a MIL-Spec, 16 mil plastic sleeve with a clear front to easily identify the ammo type. The sleeve, containing 250 rounds, is air-tight and waterproof, making it a great long-term storage option, as well as an easy grab-and-go ammo pack. The Prepper Battle Packs have been oxygen purged and nitrogen filled to improve storage longevity.

“The Prepper cases and The Prepper Battle Packs are ideal for ammunition storage. All packaging is clearly identifiable, easy to access when needed or prepared properly for long-term storage needs,” Scott Blick, managing partner of Ammunition Depot, added. “Whether you are a prepper or not, The Prepper and The Prepper Battle Packs are really a very economical way to purchase and organize quantities of ammo.”

While stocking the ammo room, keep a space for The Prepper Battle Pack New Millennium Emergency Bar pack featuring 18 energy bars. These energy bars were created specifically for the prepper market. The variety of fruit flavored, vitamin enriched bars have a texture similar to a dense shortbread and were formulated to prevent thirst. They are secured in a durable, vacuum sealed sleeve and will last up to five years.

Diamond Age – The Future of Armor

Leading edge anti-ballistic armor systems integrating the latest in enhanced multi-hit performance and durability in ceramic armor systems.

Diamond Age

Diamond Age Bastion Helmet

McKinney, Texas (May 2018) Diamond Age, a materials science and engineering firm focused on the R&D of leading-edge anti-ballistic armor systems announce their new rifle resistant Bastion Helmet and the Forcefield armor.

In addition to their work with ceramic materials and armor alloys, Diamond Age is a leading producer of boron nitride nanotubes for ceramic reinforcement. Boron Nitride Nanotubes are a nanomaterial that strengthens metal, glass and ceramic composites. Diamond Age is able to offer this material in an 80 – 90% purity and in a dense form (HD-BNNT) suitable for composite production.

“Regardless of the science behind our products, all our customer base of law enforcement and military professionals really want are lightweight products that can be worn all day, in a variety of environmental conditions while offering superior ballistic protection,” Jake Ganor, CEO of Diamond Age said. “It’s our job as engineers to come up with a level of protection that goes beyond NIJ regulations. This is not the next generation of anti-ballistic armor, but the ultimate generation.”

The BASTION Helmet is the first combat helmet that can withstand direct hits from all common rifle rounds including steel core rounds, at muzzle velocities. It has been tested and withstood rounds from 7.62 x 51mm M80, 7.62 x 39mm PS ball, 5.56 x 45mm M855A1, 5.56 x 45mm M193, 5.7x28mm SS190, and various handgun and SMG threats.

It is augmented with an ultra-lightweight carbon fiber and ceramic strike-face and designed for extreme use in the field. The BASTION helmet is completely modular featuring a full 5-plate configuration which covers the entirety of the helmet shell for manning turrets, vehicular patrols and tactical raids and entries. Infantrymen can configure to a lighter set up using on the front and back tiles, while snipers may choose to wear only the front tile. The BASTION accommodates Wilcox® shrouds without sacrificing any coverage and M-Lok rails are also available. The helmet includes the industry’s most advanced padding system, from 4D Tactical, for comfort and optimal performance against high-impact rifle rounds.

Diamond Age

Diamond Age Forcefield armor panel

The Diamond Age Forcefield armor panel offers superior protection from a variety of high-velocity SMG special threats such as 7.62 x 25 mm Tokarev (over 1700 fps), 5.7 x 29mm (over 2100 fps) and the HK 4.6 x 30mm (over 2000 fps). Further handgun special threats tested and defeated include 80-grain solid copper 9mm SCS rounds. Knives, spikes and needles have also met their match with the Forcefield. The Forcefield also exceeds the military’s requirement for military-grad frag with a V50 against the 16fr RCC tested at over 2180 ft per second.

Yet the Forcefield for all its protective qualities is as thin and light as the average soft armor panel in its class at just 6.8mm and 1.17 pounds per square foot. Designed for uncompromising protection for SWAT, military and high-risk security personnel, the Forcefield is available in BALCS-cut panels and BALCS armor carriers are also available.

SOFIC 2018 – S&T Operating Environment and Futures Foundry.

DSC_2632

One of the highlights of this year’s SOFIC conference was the S&T Operating Environment and Futures Foundry presentatios. Colonel McGuire delivered what I felt was a truly enlightening briefing highlighting that in order to succeed, USSOCOM needs to approach the mission with a 5 to 7 year forward looking perspective.

We’ve all known that the battlefield is evolving, but what’s often overlooked is the rate of that change. In today’s environment, SOCOM finds itself confronting adversarial actors with converging capabilities. Technology that was once only available to nation states is now available, often at a lower cost, to proxy militaries or radical elements. Often, and particularly true for proxy militaries, nation states supply the technology; therefore, SOCOM’s goal is not just to keep up with the Jones’ but to get well ahead of the game. The objective is to deny the advantages of emerging technologies to our adversaries. To successfully achieve that objective, the needs are many. But, as Col. McGuire stated, SOCOM is not looking for a rifle that shoots farther or a different camouflage pattern and bringing the needed capabilities to fruition falls on the shoulders of SOCOM’s Science and Technology Group and the new Futures Foundry is the incubator.

Sightmark Introduces Revamped Ultra Shot Series: RAM Series

(MANSFIELD, TEXAS) – Sightmark is proud to announce the release of the latest generation of Sightmark reflex sights, ripe with upgrades and a fresh new design. With three available models; R, A and M-Spec, Sightmark has created resilient close-range optics perfect for everything from target shooting to law enforcement and military operations on both AR platform firearms and shotguns. All RAM series sights are now powered by a CR123A battery, which provides superior battery life (200-2,000 hours) over other red dots and reflex sights. A wide lens quickens target acquisition while helping to maintain a wide FOV. Quick-detach models include an improved QD lever allowing a low profile to keep the sights from snagging on gear or unlatching during the heat of the moment.

Ideal for target shooting and hunting, the Ultra Shot R-Spec (SM26031), or Range Spec, features four reticle options with red or green illumination and a new low battery indication which prompts the reticle to blink when the battery is low. The R-Spec boasts 10 brightness levels, from low light to sunny outdoors, and slotted windage and elevation adjustments, able to be changed with a flathead or common tool.

The new aluminum-constructed Ultra Shot A-Spec (SM26032), or Advanced Spec model, retains many of the same updates found in the R-Spec, but adds 6-night vision settings, allowing the sight to be used in conjunction with night vision devices. Shockproof up to 8 ft., the R-Spec is shielded by a sturdy aluminum alloy housing and protective aluminum shield.

The most durable and advanced sight in the Ultra Shot line, the new M-Spec LQD (SM26034) and M-Spec FMS (SM26035) were designed for law enforcement, hunting and competition shooting scenarios. Waterproof up to 40 ft. and able to withstand up to .50 BMG caliber recoil, this fixed mount M-Spec features motion sensing activation (5 min. shutoff w/ motion activation, 12-hour auto-off) to conserve battery life but still keep the optic ready for when it needs to be. This cutting-edge reflex sight has an integrated retractable sunshade that reduces lens glare and protects the optic during rain or snow.

Rob Pincus Reviews IDENTILOCK, the World’s First Biometric Fingerprint Trigger Lock

Renowned professional trainer, author and consultant, Rob Pincus, demonstrates the features and benefits of IDENTILOCK® in newly released video.

Detroit, Mich. (May 2018) – IDENTILOCK®, a division of Sentinl Inc., is proud to release its latest video featuring Rob Pincus, renowned trainer, author and consultant, reviewing IDENTILOCK, the world’s first biometric fingerprint trigger lock. In the six-minute video, Pincus discusses and demonstrates the many features and benefits of the IDENTILOCK system. The video can be viewed on IDENTILOCK’s YouTube channel.

Rob Pincus Hands-On with IDENTILOCK®

“I really like the IDENTILOCK, specifically as a quick access security device for a stage defensive handgun,” remarked Pincus in the video.

In the video, Pincus highlights how the IDENTILOCK secures to the firearm and is ideal for securing your firearm while traveling. He also discusses how IDENTILOCK will deny access to those unauthorized and provides fast access to authorized users who have stored their fingerprints into the system. Pincus goes into depth about how the biometric fingerprint can be identified in multiple orientations and how it allows for multiple fingers or multiple users (up to three) to be stored in the system. He also highlights what happens if your hand is wet or dirty when operating an IDENTILOCK trigger lock system and demonstrates how to unlock the it using the mechanical key override.

The IDENTILOCK S&W-A1 Model, which is the model Rob Pincus used in his review.

Launched in 2017, IDENTILOCK utilizes state-of-the-art biometric technology that incorporates speed, usability and practicality with unmatched safety and security. It takes about 300 milliseconds – the same as the blink of an eye – for the IDENTILOCK to process a fingerprint and grant the firearm owner access to the handgun. By grasping the handgun with the index finger held out in a safe position, the fingerprint sensor identifies the user and releases the trigger lock.

For daily living, IDENTILOCK prevents children, guests or intruders from accidentally discharging a firearm. In a crisis, IDENTILOCK provides faster access than any other firearm safety device on the market. Constructed of high-strength, impact-resistant polymer, IDENTILOCK weighs in at less than 12 oz. and measures about the same size as a wallet. It is compatible with any USB Type-C charging outlet and will hold a charge up to six months while in standby mode.

Pincus is a professional trainer, author and consultant. He is the Owner of I.C.E Training Company and Executive Director of the Personal Defense Network, the internet’s highest quality collection of training articles and video clips. He attended the Military College of Vermont at Norwich University and was commissioned as an Officer in the U.S. Army Reserve after earning a degree in Political Science. Pincus has worked in law enforcement, private security and as a firearms, personal defense and tactics instructor. He is the developer of the Combat Focus® Shooting program, the most efficient defensive firearms training methodology available today. In addition to his teaching career, Pincus is the author of several books, dozens of articles and has been featured on several television shows. He teaches over 50 courses a year in over 30 locations and maintains an active presence on the internet with several websites, frequent online articles and videos. GLOCK America Wins São Paulo Military Police Solicitation

SMYRNA, Ga. – May 19, 2017  After extensive testing, the Procurement Service of the Military Police of São Paulo has declared the GLOCK 22 as the winner of its international solicitation.   Five thousand service pistols will be provided for the Special Forces CHOQUE, COE, GATE and ROTA.

The extensive testing for the solicitation included endurance testing, parts interchangeability testing, precision testing, and drop testing.  The endurance testing consisted of 10,000 rounds on each of four test pistols without cleaning or lubrication during the test.  The drop testing was conducted from a distance of 2 meters to simulate pistols being dropped from mounted units and was done from six different angles, totaling 64 drops.

This is the first time a Brazilian law enforcement unit conducted an international tender for service pistols, which included hands-on product testing.

“All tests were implemented in a very transparent and public manner as any interested party could participate in these tests as observers,” said GLOCK America’s Managing Director Patrick Voller.

GLOCK won this international solicitation against competition from Beretta and Sig Sauer.

AACUS Makes First Operational Cargo Delivery to US Marines Aurora’s AACUS Program Honored with Howard Hughes Award

Twentynine Palms, California, May 17, 2018 – Aurora’s Autonomous Aerial Cargo Utility System (AACUS) achieved a major milestone last week when it successfully delivered cargo to US Marines in the Integrated Training Exercise at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms in California.

AACUS completed its first closed loop mission from takeoff to landing for its intended purpose: actual cargo resupply to Marines. The AACUS enabled UH-1H helicopter successfully completed an autonomous cargo sustainment flight delivering 520 pounds of water, gasoline, MREs, and replacement communications gear including a packed cooler to represent urgently required cargo such as blood. This was the first ever autonomous point-to-point cargo resupply mission providing critical logistics support to Marines in need.

Developed under Office of Naval Research’s (ONR) Innovative Naval Prototype program, the AACUS enabled UH-1 helicopter is capable of flying completely autonomously, using only its onboard sensors, advanced computers and intelligent algorithms to plan its trajectory and to select its own landing sites in unmapped and hazardous environments. “The AACUS program exceeded all of our expectations,” said Dennis Baker, AACUS PM, “The team delivered on each of the ambitious technical performance goals, on schedule and under budget.”

“Aurora is building autonomous systems that will enable tomorrow’s intelligent aircraft,” said John Langford, Aurora’s founder and CEO. “Whether it’s protecting Marines in combat or providing accessible urban transportation, autonomy is the key to the future of aerospace.”

Aurora’s AACUS program was recently selected by the American Helicopter Society (AHS) for its Howard Hughes Award in recognition of an outstanding improvement in fundamental helicopter technology brought to fruition in the previous 18 months. The AACUS team was recognized at the Grand Awards Banquet on May 16th during AHS’s 74th Annual Forum & Technology Display in Phoenix, Arizona. For more information on Aurora visit www.aurora.aero.

Alien Portals, Kalua Pig and The CIA

It’s Friday readers! The weekend is upon us and it’s time for our weekly shoot the shit. You guys may not know this but it’s been proven that shoot the shits are a great way to decompress, why? Because you don’t need to know anything about the subject, you can use uncensored profanity, insult anyone you wish or just change the subject.

First on the agenda. Kestrel Link owners there is a firmware update, v 1.21 is now available. If you haven’t fired up the Kestrel Link Ballistic App do that so you can update you meter.

There’s been credible observations made that point to the existence of extra planetary life. Residents of Malibu, California have know for years that alien portals off the Malibu coast have been very active lately. The alien activity may be responsible for anomalies like this…

Zuck and Eric

Whatever is inside Schneiderman may be trying to get into Mark Zuckerberg and taking on similar appearances.

Hawaii (a.k.a The Big Island) has been getting clobbered by volcanic eruptions from mount Kilauea. There are a number of serious threats to residents.

First, is the sulfur dioxide, or SO2, which when combines with water vapor becomes a weak sulfuric acid. That transformation can occur in the lungs and environmentally as acid rain. Ask the Swiss how they felt about acid rain from German industry back in the mid-eighties. In Hawaii, acid rain could damage sugarcane, coffee, pineapple, and marijuana growers.

Lava flows have destroyed 40 homes and the only redeeming property of lava is that it moves very slowly, You can usually walk faster than it moves; however, you don’t want to be in its path.

We’ve heard about a probable huge steam explosion but to wrap your mind around that you need to understand lava rock. The lava rock has internal pockets that can contain water trapped during its formation. Those pockets become hot converting the water to steam. As temperatures continue to increase, steam develops a significant amount of pressure and explodes. When lava rock explodes it’s like a fragmentation grenade. Now, imagine that same effect at a crater level. Serious business!

Lava rocks have played a major role in Hawaiian culture, often referred to as Hawaiiana, for example ceremonial activities, like preparing a kalua pig, require the use of lava rocks among other things.

Image result for lava rocks in kalua pig body cavity

To prepare a kalua pig, you dig a pit, called an imu, about 2-4 feet deep with sloping sides. You then fill the imu with kiawe wood and lava rocks; once that’s done, you ignite the wood. As the wood burns down, the lava rocks becomes red hot. Once the wood is consumed, the rocks are removed and place inside the pig’s body cavity and under each leg. The pig is then placed in the imu and covered with ti (pronounced tea) and banana leaves. The imu is completely covered with a canvas tarp then sealed with earth or sand such that heat and steam can not escape. A kalua pig is cooked by the heat stored in the rocks and not fire. If during the 6 – 8, or so, hours worth of cooking you hear a loud pop, it means that one of the rocks had a water pocket and the pick is essentially ruined. For that reason lava rocks used for kalua are often handed down over generations. They are a prized possession.

So, please keep the Hawaiian residents in your prayers and lend any assistance you deem appropriate.

Last but certainly not least, Gina Haspel is now Director of the CIA. She makes history as the first woman appointed to head the world’s premier intelligence agency. Our congratulations to Director Haspel.

Ok, that’s it for this week. Have a great weekend, be safe and spend some quality time with your buds and family.

Grey Ghost Precision Announces MKII Version of Precision Rifles

Lakewood, WA – Grey Ghost Precision, leading manufacturers of accurate, reliable, and attainable weapon systems, is excited to announce the MKII versions of their most popular rifles, The GGP Heavy (.308 WIN), GGP Light (5.56 NATO) and the GRIM (6.5 Creedmoor).

Grey Ghost spends no time, wasted on production – partnering with only the best in the industry, to ensure that every product that goes out the door is worthy of it’s name, the team at GGP worked tirelessly to revise the previous models, guaranteeing the perfection that we know and expect.

The GGP Heavy (.308 WIN) is an extremely accurate semi-automatic rifle that fits the specific requests from sources operating in Afghanistan. The team at GGP coupled these demands with evaluations from Special Forces marksmanship instructors, competition shooters and avid hunters, and developed one of the most innovative and cutting-edge rifles in the in the DMR space.

Built with the GGP MKII 7075-T651 billet upper receiver and GGP MKII 7075-T651 billet ambi lower, the Heavy measures an overall length (with the extended GGP MKII Extended length (15″) M-LOK hand guard) of 38”, and a mere 35” when collapsed; and weighs in at 8.3lbs.  It carries a 16″ .308WIN match grade BBL. 1×10 twist, 5/8-24 threaded muzzle with a GGP muzzle brake and Black Nitride coating in and out.

The GGP Light (5.56 NATO) is a real-world application rifle, which is as effective in home defense as it is on the battlefield. Designed to achieve a durable, reliable, affordable, accurate and attainable 5.56 rifle—all without compromising quality, the light is intended for hard use and everything that goes with it.

Built with a GGP MKII 7075-T651 billet upper with M4 feed ramps, and a GGP MKII 7075-T651 billet ambi lower, the GGP Light measures an overall length of 37” (stock extended), and 34” (collapsed); with an overall weight of 6.6lbs.  Donned with a 16″ 5.56 BBL. 1×8 twist, 1/2-28 threaded muzzle with a GGP muzzle brake, and Black Nitride coating in and out.

The GGP MKII Grim (6.5 Creedmoor) came to light, after shooters began experiencing the accuracy potential of the Grey Ghost Precision catalog of rifles in other calibers. Several competitive shooters in the precision rifle circuit desired a gas gun that gave their beloved 6.5 Creedmoor round a platform, that maintained all the advantages of a modern semi-automatic sporting rifle – without compromising accuracy, consistency and performance. GGP worked to produce the GRIM, an exceedingly accurate 6.5 Creedmoor rifle that fit the specific requests of experienced snipers and PRS shooters looking for the ultimate tack driving instrument that would not only compete with other 6.5 Creedmoor rifles, but win.

“We decided that it was time to step away from the proprietary platform of the original GGP rifles, and remove all compromises; making the MKII versions much more user friendly and simplified,” stated Grey Ghost Precision, VP of Firearms, Jason Curns. “With the focus being that of a more simplistic, yet versatile design, the MKII versions are now lighter (almost a full pound less on each platform) and maintain tighter tolerances across the board.”

Curns, formerly at Mega Arms, was the lead designer in the GGP original platforms, is the brains behind the redesign; cutting everything down to its roots and building up again.

Steiner’s P4Xi Riflescope – 2018 Optic of the year

Steiner’s P4Xi has been selected as the 2018 National Rifle Association’s Shooting Illustrated Optic of the Year. Designed for patrol and tactical operations, the P4Xi offers quick, clear target acquisition in a lightweight compact design.

“We knew the tactical world needed a better compact, close-to-medium range optic that wouldn’t break the bank,” said Director of Marketing Ryan Hennig. “Our engineers absolutely nailed it with the P4Xi 1-4×24.”

The P4Xi riflescope offers high-contrast glass and an illuminated P3TR reticle with 11 different levels (five daytime, four low-light and two night vision settings), with an OFF position between each setting, making the riflescope perfect for any situation.  The versatile 4x zoom system with true 1x magnification allows engaging targets in extreme close-quarters or out to 400 yards accurately.
“Lightweight and easy to use, the Steiner P4Xi 1-4×24 scope will be a first-rate choice for patrol rifles and AR platforms,” wrote Brian McCombie in his July 2017 review. “Priced less than $600, you can’t ask much more from a quality piece of tactical shooting glass.”

More is Better When it Comes to Your Thermal Imager

Multiple color palettes provide distinct advantages in diverse environments

WILSONVILLE, OR (May 14, 2018) – Thermal imagers detect and amplify minute temperature differences between objects in the user’s environment and convert them into recognizable images, much like a digital photographic camera does with visible light.

Similar to photographic cameras offering different settings and filters to optimize image quality in different environments, FLIR engineers have increased the performance of their newest Breach thermal monocular and ThermoSight Pro thermal riflescopes by adding distinct palette options that display captured temperature data in discrete color sets. Each palette offers various advantages, depending on user preference and circumstances.

Breach and ThermoSight Pro offer a choice of seven palettes, and there is no right or wrong palette for any particular application,” says FLIR Sales and Distribution Manager, Angelo Brewer. “The choice really comes down to personal preference, the characteristics of the user’s environment, and how the image might be used.”

WHITE HOT: The most commonly used palette, White Hot displays warm objects in white, while cooler objects appear dark. This palette is great when there’s a wide span of temperature in the same scene.

The main advantage of White Hot is that the overall scene looks very realistic, so the user more easily interprets details. This palette is suitable for scenes with either high or low contrast, making it a great option when shifting from one landscape to another.

BLACK HOT: The opposite of White Hot, the warmest objects appear black in this popular palette. Black Hot is a favorite among law enforcement and hunters alike, because scenes look lifelike, especially at night.

RAINBOW HC: This palette uses multiple colors to display minute temperature differences. It is often used in large, open areas where differences in temperatures are minimal. It adds more visual interest to the scene and ensures excellent visibility of objects with a high temperature.  Rainbow HC is particularly useful in low contrast scenes, as it utilizes a wider color spectrum to add details to the scene and ensures excellent visibility.

SEPIA: This palette displays warmer temperatures in yellow and cooler temperatures in black. The Sepia color palette has a relatively narrow visual spectrum and helps reduce eye and mental fatigue. Because it is easy on the eyes, Sepia is great choice when looking through Breach or ThermoSight Pro for a significant stretch of time, such as while conducting surveillance or waiting in a blind.

IRONBOW: Ironbow is a nice, general-use palette that simulates the glow of heated objects. This palette allows users to quickly spot warmer objects against cooler backgrounds. Much like iron in a fire, a target’s radiance is conspicuous against the surrounding background, allowing for quick acquisition of people, animals and other warm objects.

ARCTIC: Arctic is another popular palette, because it displays high temperatures with a well-defined outline that separates warm from cool, helping warmer targets stand out in their surroundings.

OUTDOOR ALERT: Outdoor Alert uses the lifelike detail of Black Hot, but highlights the hottest ten-percent of the scene in orange, making it even easier to find hot objects in a scene. Outdoor alert is a popular choice for nighttime game recovery and surveillance.

When it comes selecting a thermal imager, the ability to display and view the environment in multiple color palettes has significant benefits; seven choices are always better than one. And while choosing a preferred color palette is up to the user and the specific environmental conditions in which they’re operating, with so many choices, Breach and ThermoSight Pro definitely have a video palette that will provide a clear advantage.

The new FLIR Breach thermal monocular and all three new ThermoSight Pro thermal riflescopes are now available for purchase at established FLIR dealers throughout the US, starting at $2,495 and $2,199, respectively.

Westport, Conn. (May 2018) – Shell Shock Technologies, LLC., an early stage technology and manufacturing company focused on developing innovative case technologies for the ammunition industry, is pleased to announce its sponsored shooter John Vlieger won High Overall in the Open Division at The Blue Bullets and Red Hill Tactical 2018 South Carolina State Championship, held at the Palmetto Gun Club in Ridgeville, South Carolina, May 3 – 5 2018. Vlieger finished with 1212.4390 match points.

“Consistency wins, and Shell Shock Technologies’ NAS3 cases have enabled me to focus on my shooting, and not my ammo. Speed and accuracy are essential to the sport, but without ammunition to keep up, you’re already behind the curve. I’ll continue to use Shell Shock Technologies NAS3 cases throughout the season without a doubt,” commented Vlieger.

Vlieger has fired over 15,000 rounds of ammunition with Shell Shock Technologies’ NAS3 cases since becoming sponsored in 2017 and plans to continue using it.

About Shell Shock’s NAS

3 Cases:

Shell Shock’s NAS3 9mm cases are 50 percent lighter than brass cases, offer greater lubricity and will not abrade, clog, foul, wear-out or damage breach and ejector mechanisms. The cases offer greater corrosion resistance, tensile strength (2x stronger) and elasticity than brass. NAS3 cases will not split, chip, crack or grow (stretch) and are fully reloadable (using S3 Reload dies) and can be reloaded many more times than brass cases. NAS3 cases have been tested successfully by customers to pressures over 70k psi. NAS3 cases can be picked up with a magnet. The head can be colored for branding purposes and easy load identification.

NAS3 is “Best in Class” for maintaining consistent velocity between rounds. In an independent test performed by H.P. White Laboratory (a major munitions testing facility), rounds fired using NAS3 cases achieved a velocity standard deviation of 0.093 FPS (124-grain FMJ bullet, 4.2 grains Titegroup powder, 10 rounds, extreme variation 3fps).

Remington Golden Saber Black Belt 45 Auto 230 Grain BBJHP

Huntsville, AL – Engineered in conjunction with law enforcement professionals, for law enforcement professionals, the new Golden Saber Black Belt load is now shipping in 9mm Luger, 40 S&W and 45 Auto.

In tests measuring terminal performance through ordnance gelatin as well as ordnance gelatin with additional barriers such as heavy clothing, steel, wall board, auto lass and plywood, Remington Golden Saber Black Belt ammunition is a top performer in head-to-head testing. At the heart of the new line of ammunition is the ground-breaking Black Belt bullet—developed utilizing the stringent FBI Barrier Test Protocol for optimal performance.
