(March 2026) – Tasmanian Tiger®, a tactical nylon line of products distributed exclusively for the US market by Proforce Equipment, Inc., ., announces the release of the TT Modular Grab Pack 30, a short-range escape and survival backpack engineered to provide rapid access, adaptable organization, and rugged durability in a 30-liter platform. Designed for operational professionals and prepared civilians alike, the TT Modular Grab Pack 30 features a two-chamber layout with two large, fully opening compartments. All-around zippers allow both compartments to open completely, providing unobstructed access to gear when time is critical.
The front compartment integrates four removable hook-and-loop inner pockets with transparent lids in varying sizes, along with flat organizer pockets in the lid for streamlined storage of smaller essentials. Flat front pockets provide space for documents and other slim items. In the rear compartment, a large hook-and-loop panel and two MOLLE strips on the back wall enable mission-specific configuration with compatible pouches and accessories.
The pack utilizes Tasmanian Tiger’s Y2 Carrying System, offering a padded, adjustable harness that can be tailored to the user’s back length. Shoulder straps are fully detachable, and the height-adjustable chest belt and detachable waist belt with pin buckle provide load stabilization when required. The ability to remove the shoulder straps and waist belt allows the pack to be stowed efficiently in vehicles or integrated into larger loadouts.
Additional features include three carry handles for rapid grab-and-go deployment; hydration system compatibility; hanging loops; a daisy chain and MOLLE loops on the front and base for external pouch attachment; and a hook-and-loop panel for patches and identification. An adjustable strap with buckle permits temporary closure of the rear compartment while the pack is open and suspended. A reversible rain cover with marker system is included for weather protection and identification.
Constructed from CORDURA 700-den fabric (500 den in Multicam), the TT Modular Grab Pack 30 is built for durability in demanding environments. It weighs 5.13 lbs. / 2.33 kg and measures in at 20 x 12 x 8 in. / 50 x 30 x 20 cm. It is available in Black, Olive, and Coyote for an MSRP of $449, while the Multicam is available for an MSRP of $499.

When the sun goes down, the tactical landscape shifts, and having the right illumination isn’t just a convenience—it’s a requirement. For years, Streamlight has been the choice for shooters who need professional-grade gear without the boutique price tag. Their latest release, the ProTac® Rail Mount VIR® Pro USB, aims to bridge the gap between standard white light and specialized night-vision operations.
Here is a sneak peek at what to expect in my upcoming full-length review of this new multi-fuel powerhouse.
1. The Power Specs: More Than Just Bright
At its core, the VIR Pro is a dual-spectrum beast. In the white-light department, it pushes a staggering 1,100 lumens and 40,000 candela. On paper, that’s a 400-meter beam distance—plenty for PID (Positive Identification) at the edge of most carbine ranges.
But the “VIR” in the name stands for Visible/Infrared. By simply toggling the head-mounted switch, you transition to a 940nm IR LED (2,300mW on high). This is where the light truly shines for the night-vision community. It provides enough IR flood to illuminate a dark wood line without the blooming effect that lower-quality IR illuminators often cause.
2. Clever Design: The “Jack-Cap” & Safety Cutoff
One of the most impressive physical features is the Jack-Cap® tail cap. It offers built-in switch redundancy, meaning you can use the standard push-button or plug in the included remote pressure switch without swapping parts.
Streamlight also addressed a major concern:-accidental white-light NDs (Negligent Discharges). The VIR Pro features an integrated cutoff that prevents the white light from activating if the selector is set to IR. When you’re running under goggles and need to stay dark, this safety feature is a literal lifesaver.
3. Reliability & Fuel Versatility
In the full review, I’ll be commenting on its Multi-Fuel capability. The USB model comes with the SL-B26® rechargeable battery pack, but it will also happily run on two CR123A lithium batteries.

The construction is classic Streamlight: 6000-series machined aircraft aluminum, IPX7 waterproof (1 meter for 30 minutes), and extensively tested. Whether it’s mounted to a Picatinny rail or using the included M-LOK® adapter, the mounting system is rock solid.

Welcome to the era of BDE 3D-printed suppressors with Primary Weapons Systems. Utilizing Direct Metal Fusion technology, PWS produces lightweight, high-strength components with consistent tolerances. This process enables precise internal contours and tightly controlled features, which improve gas flow and acoustic performance. It delivers suppression and gas management characteristics that enhance a firearm’s performance when suppressed.
PWS pairs more than 17 years of practical manufacturing experience with advanced additive processes to accelerate prototyping while retaining the proven architecture and silhouette that shooters trust. The additive process ensures precision internal contours and micro-scale features that optimize gas flow and acoustic performance. The result is a suppressor that combines familiar, field-tested geometry with additive-enabled internal precision to enhance real-world performance.
Modularity is built into the BDE .36 from the outset. The suppressor features a serialized entrance chamber and removable titanium baffle sections, allowing shooters to quickly and safely adjust overall length, weight, and back pressure. This modular approach allows for precise tuning for pistols, including 9mm, and rifle calibers such as 5.56/.223 and 7.62/.308, enabling one suppressor to serve multiple platforms and mission requirements without compromise.
Materials and manufacturing philosophy mirror PWS’s broader BDE family. The internal baffle core is produced using Direct Metal Fusion with aerospace-grade titanium, while the exterior receives a hard PVD coating for enhanced wear resistance. The internal baffle design employs taper-threaded, symmetric notches to aid alignment, prevent carbon locking, and ensure repeatable performance over thousands of rounds. Removable cores and material choices allow customers and armorers to fine-tune suppression, weight, and back pressure to match specific weapon systems.
