Brownells Donates more than $150,000 to Firearms Policy Foundation
GRINNELL, Iowa (July 20, 2021) – Brownells donated more than $150,000 to the Firearms Policy Foundation, with money generated by the “Made in America” promotion at Brownells.com leading up to Independence Day.
The Firearms Policy Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization which helps fund the Firearms Policy Coalition, a 501(c)4 dedicated to defending the Constitution of the United States, especially the individual right to keep and bear arms.
The donation will help with the on-going struggle to restore and eventually expand constitutionally guaranteed Second Amendment rights for all Americans.

The scales themselves are G10 and do house the liner locking mechanism. Set within the scales is a lanyard loop to affix a variety of lanyard or safety devices of choice. Beyond the aesthetic design is the practical texturing of the G10. Similar to the checkering of a gunstock, the scales feature a deep but subtle texture for grip retention and comfort. NSSF Thanks Sen. Pat Toomey for Protecting ATF from Special-Interest Gun Control
NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearm and ammunition industry, is grateful for the leadership by U.S. Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) announcing that he will not support President Joe Biden’s nominee, David Chipman, to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). This bold and decisive announcement is critical to ensuring the ATF remains a fair and impartial law enforcement and regulatory bureau and not a political tool of gun control special interests.

Todd Jones who was confirmed by the Senate.

Experts in Firearm Safety, Teen Suicide Prevention Launch Webinar: ‘Understanding Youth Mental Health and Preventing Unauthorized Access to Firearms’

NEWTOWN, Conn. – The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), in partnership with mental health experts from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and George Washington University, today released a recorded webinar video to help parents of teens recognize signs that their children may be facing mental health challenges—and share resources on how to talk to kids about mental health, make homes safer for those who may be at risk and help reduce the risk of suicide among teens.
“Studies show that suicide is preventable and simple actions like storing firearms securely when not in use can help save a life,” said Joe Bartozzi, NSSF’s President and CEO.
The video, which aired live from NSSF and Project ChildSafe’s Facebook page, features a panel discussion between Dr. Doreen Marshall, AFSP’s Vice President of Mission Engagement, and Dr. Sherry Molock, Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology at George Washington University, on signs teens exhibit when they are dealing with challenges to their mental health, including having thoughts of self-harm. Both experts emphasize the importance of parents having conversations with their kids if they sense their children are struggling.
Dr. Molock and Dr. Marshall encourage parents to watch for warning signs that their teen may be experiencing mental health challenges by observing what they say, how they behave and the moods they project. According to these experts, the most important things parents can do if they recognize any of these signs are to have a conversation with their kids and be proactive in preventing access to potential means of self-harm.
“We know many teens may be thinking about suicide, so talking about it with our kids—before it becomes a crisis—is really important,” Dr. Marshall says. “It may sound difficult, but it doesn’t have to be. Talking openly with our young people about mental health, just as we would physical health, can be the key to preventing a crisis, and saving a life.”
Dr. Molock agrees, emphasizing that talking about mental health and self-harm with our kids does not cause them to attempt suicide.
“Many kids are actually relieved to be able to talk about it, so let the young person know you can handle the discussion, and you’re willing to do anything to keep them safe,” Dr. Molock says.
Also important is creating “time and distance” between a person having thoughts of suicide and a method of harm. When access to a potential lethal means is interrupted, it creates an opportunity for the person to change their mind and seek professional care. Recognizing that firearms are sometimes involved in suicide attempts, NSSF’s Bartozzi urges gun-owning parents to practice safe firearm storage and learn about available secure storage options.
“We need to discuss this issue openly and honestly as a community and give parents the tools and information they need to make the home environment safer if they’re concerned someone in their family is at risk,” Bartozzi says. “In addition to thinking about prescription drug and other means, it may also mean rethinking how and where you store your firearms.”
The webinar complements a free resource developed by NSSF and AFSP—“A Guide for Parents: Understanding Youth Mental Health and Preventing Unauthorized Access to Firearms”—available at NSSF’s Project ChildSafe® website or AFSP’s Project 2025 website.

Now, the same jackass will advance critical race theory, which is designed to make your Caucasian child feel guilty about his or her race.

First time readers, may not be familiar with the concept of a shoot the shit. In this shoot the shit I’d like to talk about the vaccination phobia and why it’s a decision that needs to be made in consultation with your physician. So lets get started.
Medical since has evolved over the years to a point where disease from pathogens like bacteria, plasmodium parasites and viruses have, for all intents and purposes, been eradicated. Most of our life ending or serious medical conditions have genetic origin. Simply stated, your DNA has the code for that particular malady, cancer being one of the most common; the gene may never express itself, or it may be triggered by an environmental influence. Which is the reason we avoid certain things and don’t do others. Biochemically random events will cause free radicals which act on DNA to trigger gene expression.
The argument being advanced by the “don’t get vaccinated crowd” is based around potential side-effects, this is a valid concern especially if you are the one impacted, but you’re not being presented by the second half of the equation.
The first thing you need to know is that approximately 350,000 people a year go to emergency room services to be treated for medication side-effects and interactions. Why is that? Human beings are complex biological machines and what works for one person may not work for another. Over the counter medications can and have caused serious side effects in some individuals. The medical community is fully cognizant of side-effects and measure incidents to asses their statistical significance.
So, when the media reports that two thousand patients have reported adverse side-effects from the COVID-19 vaccine, the medical community weighs those incidents against the total positive outcomes to determine if it is a concern. The question they try to answer Is if the side-effects are statistically significant relative to the population size and downside risk of not being vaccinated.
The risks of not getting vaccinated are also complex, but it potentially increases the risk of viral mutations resistant to treatment or current vaccinations, it may also increase the risk of long term medical problems from things like viral protein fragments that could bring about undesirable gene expression resulting in long-term health issues like cancer.
I want to close by suggesting that you sit down with your family doctor; have a heart-to-heart talk and be sure to share your fears and concerns,but in the final analysis you are far better off being vaccinated than not.

This year, nine combat-wounded heroes were paired with nine boat captains for a memorable experience. Bass Master Elite fisherman Ray Hanselman led the charge and contributed his time and experience for the heroes attending, making this a memorable and exciting trip to remember. Ray Henselman’s sponsors, AFTCO and Skeeter Boats, even got in the action with Skills4Life by providing shirts, hats and other goods to all the captains and heroes.
Awards were given each day to the heroes who caught the largest and second-largest fish out of Lake Amistad. In addition, a bottle of Devil’s River Whisky that all the attending heroes signed was given to the boat captain of the hero with the biggest fish. This was a great event. Many memories were made, and the event provided the heroes an opportunity to enjoy nature, fellow heroes, attendees and the sport of fishing.
