EAST ALTON, IL (March 4, 2025) — Austin Dillon will pilot the Richard Childress Racing No. 3 Winchester car in the Shriner Children’s 500 at Phoenix Raceway in Avondale, Arizona, on March 9.
Built in 1964, Phoenix Raceway is known as the “Desert Jewel” racetrack and regarded as one of the premiere motorsports venues in the Southwest. The first NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix raceway was held in 1988 and in 2020 began hosting the NASCAR Championship Weekend. Phoenix Raceway is a one-mile, paved asphalt track with a unique dogleg design in the backstretch that makes it a one-of-a-kind track.
Viewers can catch the race on FS1 and listeners can find it on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

RICE LAKE, Wis., March 4, 2025 — Henry Repeating Arms Founder and CEO Anthony Imperato recently honored Ralf Hartmann as the International Hunter Education Association (IHEA) New York State Instructor of the Year, recognizing his exceptional contributions to hunter education and firearms safety. In recognition of his achievement, Imperato presented Hartmann with a custom serial-numbered Henry Side Gate Lever Action Rifle chambered in .360 Buckhammer.

The IHEA State Instructor of the Year award is given to educators in each state who go above and beyond in their efforts to instill safe hunting and firearms handling practices in new hunters. Nominated by Kelly Stang, wildlife biologist and New York State Hunter Education Program Administrator, Hartmann was selected for his dedication to the field over the past 11 years, during which he has introduced over 1,000 students to hunting and the outdoors.

Fluent in German, Hartmann has been instrumental in expanding hunter education accessibility to Amish and Mennonite students. His language skills have allowed him to teach courses tailored to these communities, and he has worked diligently to recruit, train, and supervise Amish and Mennonite instructors, the first of whom were certified in 2024.

A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Hartmann credits his father for first introducing him to hunting and firearms safety. His early training included carrying an unloaded firearm in the field for a year before being allowed to hunt. In 1975, he pursued a German Hunting License, a rigorous process that involved a six-month course covering animal husbandry, genetics, wildlife identification, firearms knowledge, German hunting traditions, and laws, culminating in a written exam and in-person board interview.

Upon receiving the award, Hartmann expressed his dream of hunting Red Stags or Chamois in Europe, a nod to his deep appreciation for international hunting traditions. In addition to celebrating Hartmann’s achievements, the Saranac Lake Fish & Game Club recognized Anthony Imperato, receiving a Certificate of Appreciation and Life Membership for his ongoing dedication to hunter education and conservation efforts.

Speaking on Hartmann’s impact, Imperato said, “Henry Repeating Arms has always recognized the unsung heroes of the firearms industry, the firearms instructors, who give up their own valuable free time and take money out of their own pockets to teach firearms safety, discipline, and the enjoyment of our shooting sports traditions to the youth and the first-timers of our great country. The SAINT Victor Pistol is designed to deliver a capable 9mm with all the performance and capability you have come to expect from the SAINT Victor line. Featuring forged 7075 T6 aluminum dedicated 9mm upper and lower receivers, this new pistol is built to deliver.

Employing a rugged direct blowback system of operation that ensures rock-solid reliability, the SAINT Victor Pistol features a compact Melonite®-coated 5.5” barrel. At the muzzle is the SA Muzzle Drum, recessed under the pistol’s free-floated handguard. The handguard features M-Lok® slots for accessories, and an M-Lok handstop is included on the lower forward section of the handguard. A handy QD mount is located on the receiver end plate.

The pistol feeds from the included Colt®-pattern, 32-round magazine that interfaces with the pistol’s dedicated 9mm lower. Rounding out the package is an adjustable SB Tactical SBA3 pistol brace on the three-position receiver extension; a B5 Systems polymer trigger guard and B5 Systems Type 23 P-Grip; and a 45-degree, short-throw ambidextrous safety.

NSSF Welcomes Rep. Clay Higgins’ Law Enforcement Protection and Privacy Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, welcomes U.S. Rep. Clay Higgins’ (R-La.) introduction of H.R. 1698, the Law Enforcement Protection and Privacy Act, which will enhance safeguards for protected firearm trace data. This legislation is vital to ensuring firearm trace data, which is protected by federal law, remains safeguarded from misuse that threatens investigations and lives. The bill puts “teeth to the Tiahrt rider,” by providing accountability for individuals who purposefully and unlawfully release this sensitive law enforcement information that is reserved for use in law enforcement investigations.

“This legislation is long overdue and necessary to send a strong message that there will now be consequences for those who would unlawfully disclose law enforcement sensitive firearm trace data that jeopardizes ongoing criminal investigations and puts the lives of law enforcement officers, undercover agents and witnesses at risk,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “It will prevent the unauthorized release of trace data by ATF and others to gun control groups and agenda-driven media outlets who have misused the data to launch ‘name-and-shame’ attacks to smear the reputation of law-abiding members of the firearm industry. We thank Congressman Clay Higgins for his leadership in protecting the integrity of ongoing criminal investigations and the lives of law enforcement officers and witnesses including licensed retailers and their reputations in their communities.”

The Law Enforcement Protection and Privacy Act:

Makes clear that the contents of National Trace Center is not subject to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
Establishes penalties for the unauthorized release of firearm trace data up to $10,000 for first violation per disclosure of an individual record and $25,000 for any other violations. It would also result in loss of access to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (ATF) National Tracing Center (NTC) Firearm Tracing System (FTS) for one year for those who fail to comply with the law.
Provides federal firearms licensees (FFLs) a private right of action against a Federal agency or a local, tribal or foreign entity if data concerning them is unlawfully released, and if the FFL prevails the FFL would be awarded the greater of triple the amount of damages suffered or $25,000 for each discloser of information, punitive damages as the court allows and attorney’s fee and court costs.
Removes sovereign immunity as a defense to actions to enforce violations of the law.

The Tiahrt amendment prohibits the release of firearm trace data to anyone other than law enforcement or prosecutors investigating a crime. Currently, there are no penalties for when individuals or agencies ignore this law and release this data to advance a political gun control agenda. While ATF could, under memorandum of understanding, disallow access to the data by those who violate the agreement, ATF has never enforced that provision.

Unfortunately, this protected data has been abused, including by the ATF under the Biden administration, in “name-and-shame” efforts to malign firearm retailers, despite ATF’s longstanding admonition noting that trace data “in no way suggests that either the federal firearms licensed dealer (FFL) or the first purchaser has committed criminal acts.”

When a firearm is recovered at a crime scene or criminal arrest, a police department may forward information to the ATF to track the chain of custody of a firearm through the licensed distribution system to the original retail purchaser. The ATF then sends back the information to the reporting agency so they can use it in a criminal case, if warranted. ATF also uses the data in support of illegal firearms trafficking investigations.

Public release of gun trace data outside law enforcement would jeopardize ongoing criminal investigations, putting the lives of law enforcement, witnesses and others at risk. This is why Congress, the ATF and law enforcement, including the nation’s largest police organization, the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), agree on the importance of securing this sensitive data. Access to gun trace data should only be available to law enforcement taking part in a bona-fide investigation, and law enforcement already has the access it needs for this purpose. No law enforcement agency has ever been denied access to trace data as part of a criminal investigation.

GA-ASI WELCOMES USAF DESIGNATION FOR NEW CCA: YFQ-42A

SAN DIEGO – 3 March 2025 – General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) welcomes the U.S. Air Force’s designation for its Collaborative Combat Aircraft: the new uncrewed jet fighter will be called the YFQ-42A. The announcement on Monday followed an earlier USAF decision in 2024 that GA-ASI was selected to develop and build the YFQ-42A.

“We’re proud to get a new official aircraft designation,” said GA-ASI President David R. Alexander. “YFQ-42A continues a long and distinguished history for GA-ASI that dates back to the 1990s and the debut of the RQ-1 Predator^®, which later changed to MQ-1 Predator. That uncrewed aircraft gave way to the MQ-9A Reaper^®, the MQ-20 Avenger^®, our new MQ-9B SkyGuardian^®and SeaGuardian^®, and many others.

“These aircraft represent an unrivaled history of capable, dependable uncrewed platforms that meet the needs of America’s warfighters and point the way to a significant new era for airpower.”

The Air Force selected YFQ-42A as the Mission Design Series (MDS) for GA-ASI’s CCA prototype, representing the first in a new generation of unmanned fighter aircraft. YFQ-42A will be critical in securing air dominance for the Joint Force in future conflicts, leveraging autonomous capabilities and crewed-uncrewed teaming to defeat enemy threats in contested environments.

The Air Force is developing Autonomous Collaborative Platforms to maintain its air superiority. Semi-autonomous aircraft, like YFQ-42A, will enhance flexibility, affordability, and mission effectiveness. YFQ-42A will enhance air superiority as a flexible, affordable force multiplier. It is designed to integrate seamlessly with current and next-generation crewed aircraft, expanding mission capabilities and ensuring continued air dominance. In short, YFQ-42A provides fighter capacity – affordable mass – at a lower cost and on a threat-relevant timeline.

The YFQ-42A designation follows the Air Force’s decision to designate GA-ASI’s highly common predecessor aircraft as the XQ-67A Off-Board Sensing Station. The XQ-67A was ordered by the Air Force Research Lab to support the development of concepts necessary to implement the vision for CCA.

In the Air Force system, an “X” plane is designed for testing and experimentation, while “Y” describes initial production-representative aircraft, usually ahead of a formal program. “F” is for fighter and “Q” designates an uncrewed aircraft. Once the production-representative aircraft moves into production, the “Y” will drop from the prefix.

GA-ASI will have a one-sixth scale model of the YFQ-42A on display during the Air Warfare Symposium March 3-5, 2025, in booth #1003.

Features

QMAG-53

The QMAG-53 offers 80% increased magazine capacity, with a similar form factor to standard magazines but shorter. Warfighters can now to carry 210 round loadouts in 4 magazines instead of 7, reduce reloads by 50%, reduce loadout weight by 8%, and carry their QMAG’s in any standard double mag pouch. The QMAG is more reliable because of its single follower design and reduced wall friction, both designed to reliably fire high volumes of full auto fire with high pressure dirty silencers. The QMAG’s internal length is also longer to guarantee reliable feeding of long match grade ammunition used by competitors. The QMAG is highly durable, passing all military drop tests, the mags can be fully loaded for years without fatiguing the springs and it is easy to load the top rounds unlike drum mags.

Every rifle also comes with a Magwell adapter reliably use standard 30 round magazines.

Handguard

Designed with suppressor builds in mind, the 13.7-inch MLOK compatible handguard accommodates a variety of quick-attach suppressor mounts. Chamfered edges and a Type III Hardcoat anodized finish provide a smooth, ergonomic feel while maintaining durability. The handguard is crafted from lightweight yet durable 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, striking the perfect balance between strength and weight reduction. The Handguard attaches to the receiver using a two-piece wedge block mechanism, ensuring a rock-solid attachment with even pressure around the barrel nut.

Reliability

Desert Tech’s Quattro-15 is a direct impingement rifle that was engineered and crafted with premium components to deliver unrivaled performance in any condition. The full auto rated dual ejector Bolt Carrier Group enhances reliability and maintains consistent ejection patterns. All BCGs are Chrome lined with a phosphate coating to provide an added layer of protection. The Quattro-15 Rifle uses all Mil-Spec parts to ensure flawless operation under the most demanding circumstances.

Match Barrel

The Quattro-15 features a 16-inch mid-gas stainless steel barrel with a 223 Wylde chamber, offering compatibility with both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO rounds. New Partner with a Payer Video Showcases How Firearm and Ammunition Industry Supports Elk Restoration in Pennsylvania

WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF^®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, in partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), the Pennsylvania Game Commission and Beretta, is proud to release the latest installment in the Partner with a Payer^® video series. This new video highlights the significant impact of Pittman-Robertson Act funding on the successful restoration and management of Pennsylvania’s elk population.

For decades, the excise taxes paid by firearm, ammunition and archery manufacturers through the Pittman-Robertson Wildlife Restoration Act have provided a steady and reliable source of funding for wildlife conservation efforts in all 50 states. This funding has been instrumental in restoring species like elk, deer, wild turkeys, waterfowl and countless non-game species, as well as enhancing habitat and outdoor recreation opportunities for millions of Americans.

One powerful example of this impact can be seen in Pennsylvania. Once nearly eliminated from the region, elk now thrive thanks to decades of conservation efforts made possible by the excise taxes paid by firearm, ammunition and archery manufacturers through the Pittman-Robertson Wildlife Restoration Act. These funds have enabled habitat restoration, herd health monitoring and sustainable management of Pennsylvania’s now-thriving elk herd, estimated at 1,400 to 1,500 animals.

“Our agency takes ZERO state tax dollars; we are completely independently funded through the sale of hunting licenses, wildlife restoration dollars from the Pitman-Robertson Act and revenues we generate from our state game land system,” said David Gustafson, Director, Bureau of Wildlife Habitat Management, Pennsylvania Game Commission.

To see the impact of these funds firsthand, a team from Beretta USA, one of the many manufacturers contributing to Pittman-Robertson excise taxes, visited Pennsylvania to observe how their contributions are used to sustain conservation efforts. Through this video series, viewers can see firsthand how this funding model supports not only wildlife but also local economies by driving tourism and outdoor recreation opportunities.

“Thanks to the Pittman-Robertson Act, [the Pennsylvania Game Commission] was able to fund the habitat for the reintroduction of elk,” said Joe Cunniffe, Brand Marketing Manager, Hunting, Beretta USA. “Now they actually have a huntable population.”

“We cannot have places to go and spend time in the outdoors without the conservation efforts from these excise tax dollars,” said David Armistead, Manufacturing Manager, Beretta USA.

Pennsylvania’s elk restoration is just one of many examples of how Pittman-Robertson funding benefits wildlife conservation across the nation. These funds also support hunter education programs, shooting range development and habitat conservation projects that benefit both game and non-game species in every state.

This latest Partner with a Payer video underscores the importance of industry and agency partnerships in conservation efforts across the country and highlights how manufacturers, hunters and conservationists all play a role in protecting America’s rich wildlife heritage.

Originally designed by firearms innovator Mack Gwinn Jr. in the early 1970s, this revolutionary firearm has been reimagined for today’s shooters with advanced materials and precision CNC manufacturing.

The BMP-23 is a 5.56mm pistol that retains the innovative design elements of its predecessor while incorporating modern enhancements. Featuring an 11.5” chrome-moly barrel and an AK-47-style gas piston operating system, the BMP-23 delivers reliability and performance in a compact, lightweight aluminum and steel construction weighing just 5.2 lbs. Built-in iron sights and a unique 40-degree swivel design allow for seamless right- or left-hand operation.
