EAST ALTON, IL (January 17, 2025) — Winchester, The American Legend, will be featured on the No. 3 Chevrolet driven by Austin Dillon as a part of the Richard Childress Racing team during the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season.
Winchester is teamed with Bass Pro Shops and other key sponsors of the No. 3 Chevrolet, one of the most iconic cars in NASCAR history, which carries a storied legacy from its days with the late Dale Earnhardt. Austin Dillon has continued to honor that tradition, bringing new energy and excitement to the revered number.

Dillon is a five-time winner in the Cup Series who has qualified for the NASCAR playoffs five times.
Fans can catch Austin Dillon and the Bass Pro Shops/Winchester No. 3 Chevrolet on track when the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series kicks off at the iconic Daytona International Speedway in February.
Winchester will be on the No. 3 car for 17 NASCAR Cup Series races in 2025 starting with The Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston Salem, North Carolina on February 2, 2025. This is the first NASCAR Cup Series race held at Bowman Gray Stadium since 1971.

NSSA and NSCA Partner with NSSF’s First Shots Program
WASHINGTON, D.C. – NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, is pleased to announce that the National Skeet Shooting Association (NSSA) and National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) have become official partners of NSSF’s First Shots® program, the introductory and refresher target-shooting program made available through host target-shooting ranges across the country.
NSSA is the world’s largest organization dedicated to the clay-target sport of skeet shooting. As the official governing body of skeet shooting, NSSA promotes this fun and challenging sport to participants of all ages and sanctions competitions throughout the country.
Similarly, NSCA is the official governing and sanctioning body of sporting clays shooting, sometimes known as “golf with a shotgun” because of its course designs and varied shooting stations and target presentations. NSCA works to develop the sport with all levels of participants.
To kick off this new partnership with First Shots, NSSA and NSCA have planned a First Shots introductory event at the National Shooting Complex—the home grounds for NSSA and NSCA—for their staff and friends and family at the end of January. The event will provide a hands-on example of how First Shots works to build new and safe target shooters. As Nathan Boyd, NSC Assistant Director/Project Manager said, “Attend First Shots, and let’s go shooting!”
“The partnership between NSSA and NSCA and First Shots is a natural given how much these organizations already do to introduce newcomers and novices to clay-target shooting, firearm safety and competitive shooting,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Director, Member Development. “Clay-target sports are fun, social and ideally suited for spending a great day at the range shooting with friends. More and more Americans want to learn about recreational shooting, and First Shots has been designed to assist them by providing education in the classroom or in the field and time on the range.”
By providing educational experiences that are safe, fun and memorable, First Shots partners and host ranges are having great success in attracting first-timers, further engaging new gun owners and in reactivating lapsed participants. Surveys show that more than 43 percent of First Shots participants are converted to target-shooting enthusiasts, demonstrating that First Shots is fulfilling a need for providing a supportive environment to those who want to know more about recreational shooting and firearm ownership.
“We’re proud to partner with First Shots, which has introduced thousands of people to recreational shooting and continues to attract participants of all ages. As a dedicated partner of First Shots, our focus is to open up the world of skeet and sporting clays shooting to anyone interested. We encourage our NSSA and NSCA member clubs to take advantage of the easy to use resources First Shots provides to initiate a First Shots seminar. Hosting a First Shots class offers clubs an opportunity to attract new members, increase club participation and create positive community interactions and relationships. We hope more people will discover and enjoy our clay-target sports thanks to our collaborative efforts with NSSF’s First Shots,” said Michael Hampton, Executive Director of the NSSA and NSCA.

NSSF Praises U.S. Rep. Rob Wittman’s Protecting Hunters and Anglers Act Introduction
WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, praises U.S. Rep. Rob Wittman’s (R-Va.) introduction of H.R. 556, the Protecting Access for Hunters and Anglers Act, which would prohibit U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS), Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and U.S. Forest Service (USFS) from banning the use of traditional lead ammunition and tackle absent approval by the applicable state fish and wildlife department and proof that lead ammunition and tackle is primarily causing wildlife population decline.
Conservation policies must rely on peer-reviewed, sound scientific evidence to ensure abundant wildlife populations and public land access is perpetuated for future generations. The policies lack that evidence. They show no causational link of detrimental wildlife population impact link to traditional ammunition. Rather, these policies put an antigun and anti-hunting agenda ahead of science and risk the primary funding source for wildlife conservation in America today.
“This legislation is tremendously important to protect the primary funding for wildlife conservation in America,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “Firearm and ammunition manufacturers have paid over $29 billion, when adjusted for inflation, since 1937 and that has been the leading funding source of wildlife and habitat conservation in America. Efforts by bureaucrats to limit or eliminate the use of traditional lead ammunition and fishing tackle puts those conservation funds at serious risk by increasing costs and creating barriers to participation in outdoor recreation.”
NSSF denounced the USFWS Final Rule it published in 2023 that offered sportsmen and women a “bait-and-switch” deal to open hunting and fishing opportunities on eight National Wildlife Refuges (NWRs), but banned the use of traditional lead ammunition and fishing tackle. The Final Rule offered no scientific evidence of detrimental population impacts to support banning the use of traditional ammunition, despite promises by the Biden administration to “follow the science.”
Firearm and ammunition manufacturers pay a 10 and 11 percent excise tax to the Wildlife Restoration Trust Fund, commonly referred to as the “Pittman-Robertson excise tax.” The firearm and ammunition industry was directly responsible for $886.5 million Pittman-Robertson taxes of the $1.3 billion apportioned to the states through the USFWS for state conservation and education programs in 2024 alone. Since its inception in 1937, the firearm and ammunition industry has paid over $29 billion into the fund, when adjusted for inflation.

NSSF Applauds U.S. Rep. Ben Cline’s Hearing Protection Act Introduction
WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, welcomes U.S. Rep. Ben Cline’s (R-Va.) H.R. 404, the Hearing Protection Act, which would remove firearm suppressors from the list of definitions under the 1934 National Firearms Act (NFA), eliminating onerous and duplicitous background checks. Instead, what is essentially a muffler for a gun would be regulated under the 1968 Gun Control Act (GCA) with the same background check that is required for a retail firearm purchase. The legislation would also amend the statutory suppressor definitions to eliminate ambiguity that might lead to the criminalization of lawful firearm accessories.
“Congressman Cline’s Hearing Protection Act will have the federal government recognize firearm suppressors for what they are. These are accessories to a firearm that make recreational shooting and hunting a safer experience,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “These safety devices reduce the report of a firearm to a level that won’t cause instant and permanent hearing damage. Despite Hollywood’s depictions, they do not mask the sound of a firearm. The focus should be on removing barriers to safe and responsible use of firearms and dedicating resources to ensuring firearms are safeguarded from those who should never possess them. Strict regulatory control of firearm accessories, and the parts of those accessories that have no bearing on the function of a firearm, is unnecessary and not the wisest use of federal resources. NSSF thanks Congressman Cline for his leadership for ensuring safe and responsible use of firearms and dedicating necessary resources where they are most needed.”
Firearm suppressors, legally but inaccurately referred to as “silencers,” are devices that reduce the report of a firearm from a level roughly equal to that of a jet taking off which causes instant and permanent hearing loss to one that is safe, but still equal to a jackhammer. That decibel level will not permanently damage hearing. Suppressors work similar to a car’s muffler, redirecting exhaust gases and was originally patented over 100 years ago by the same designer of car mufflers, Hiram Maxim.
Under current law, an individual purchasing a suppressor must locate a retailer that is regulated as a NFA Class III retailer, complete a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Form 4 with the model and serial number of the suppressor, and obtain two passport photos and fingerprint cards from a local police department. The local chief law enforcement official must receive a completed copy of the application. Then the form, photographs and fingerprints must be sent to ATF along with a check to pay the $200 tax. The customer can obtain the suppressor from the NFA Class III retailer upon an additional background check through FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).
Congressman Cline’s legislation would eliminate those requirements and make suppressors available with the same paperwork, markings, record keeping and background check approval that is required for a firearm. It would also clarify the definition of suppressors, ensuring that components like mounts, baffles and end caps are not erroneously classified as standalone suppressors or “silencers.”

Built on the legacy of the Masai Mara and enhanced with 16 all-new performance features, the ACE is engineered to deliver reliability, innovation, and value. Everyone has different tastes, so RETAY made the ACE in a style to suit the individual shooter’s preference. The ACE lineup includes two distinctive receiver designs – a standard “slope back” receiver and a slight “humpback” version called the TYPE-R – allowing hunters to choose the style that best fits their preference. Both designs share the same premium features and internal parts with only a slight difference in appearance, as the ACE TYPE-R features a slightly raised receiver for enhanced handling.

The ACE is compatible with Benelli extended magazine tubes and Crio Plus chokes, offering greater versatility. The stainless steel recoil buffer spring ensures long-term durability and corrosion resistance.
The recoil-reducing “Airy” Recoil Pad, combined with a soft stock comb pad, reduces felt recoil by 30 percent for a more comfortable shooting experience. The receiver is drilled and tapped to accept Benelli rail mounts, allowing for easy installation of scopes or red dot sights. The redesigned ergonomic stock and forend provide a more comfortable and secure grip. The adjustable length of pull, utilizing the Airy Pad System, allows for customization to fit different shooters. The oversized easy-grip forend cap enhances control and maneuverability.
The reversible safety button is easily adaptable for left- or right-handed users. The redesigned oversized charging handle offers improved leverage and ease of operation. The no-snag buffer tail prevents the buffer from snagging on clothing or gear. Finally, the oversized bolt release provides a larger target for quick and positive operation.
The ACE and ACE TYPE-R are available in 12GA 3.5,” 20GA 3,” and 28GA 3” configurations, with a choice of drilled 28” or 26” barrels featuring optimized forcing cones. Presentation Details
Proposed presentations should be designed for a maximum length of 45 minutes, including time allocated for audience questions and answers. WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, is pleased to announce that Carlos Guevara, Vice President and General Counsel of GLOCK, Inc., has been appointed to the NSSF Board of Governors. Guevara brings decades of legal, operational and leadership experience within the firearm industry to his new role on the board.
In his current position at GLOCK, Guevara oversees a broad range of critical functions, including Legal Compliance, HR, Marketing, Media Relations, Import/Exports, Finance, Quality, and Environmental Health and Safety operations.
Prior to his tenure at GLOCK, Guevara served as corporate counsel for multinational corporations and later held the position of General Counsel at Xerox Corporation’s subsidiary in Colombia. He joined GLOCK in 1999 as Import/Export Department Manager and was promoted to General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in 2006. By 2012, he had earned the title of Vice President of GLOCK, a role in which he has excelled, driving significant contributions to the company’s U.S. operations.

NSSF Celebrates $1.3 Billion to States for Wildlife Conservation
WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, celebrates the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s (USFWS) announcement that $1.3 billion is being delivered to state conservation and wildlife access programs. The distribution of funds is derived from the Pittman-Robertson excise taxes paid by firearm and ammunition manufacturers and Dingell-Johnson excise taxes paid by the angling industry.
A total of $886,499,121 of the $1.3 billion of those funds are directly sourced from firearm and ammunition excise taxes paid by manufacturers. Firearm and ammunition manufacturers have paid over $29 billion into the fund since its inception in 1937, when adjusted for inflation. These funds directly contribute to wildlife conservation through the Pittman-Robertson Wildlife Restoration Act and provide funding for conservation programs, increased access to public lands and hunter education.
“The firearm industry is tremendously proud of the contributions we make to conserving our wildlife and the habitats wildlife need to thrive for generations to come,” said NSSF President and CEO Joe Bartozzi. “Our industry is at the forefront of wildlife conservation. Each time a recreational shooter or hunter purchases a firearm or ammunition, they are helping to support wildlife conservation through the excise taxes paid by our industry on the sale of those products. The American model of conservation funding is the gold standard throughout the world for sustainable conservation and wildlife management.”
The excise tax is set at 11 percent of the wholesale price for long guns and ammunition and 10 percent of the wholesale price for handguns. The excise tax, paid by manufacturers and importers, applies to all firearms and ammunition imported or sold domestically to the commercial market and federal law enforcement sales, whether the purpose is for recreational shooting, hunting or personal defense. The tax is administered by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) of the Department of the Treasury, which turns the funds over to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS).
USFWS deposits the Pittman-Robertson excise tax revenues into a special account called the Wildlife Restoration Trust Fund administered by the USFWS. These funds are made available to states and territories the year following their collection based on a statutory formula. These excise tax dollars collected since 1937 under the Pittman-Robertson Wildlife Restoration Act are specifically designated to be used by state wildlife agencies for conservation and related purposes. Collectively, purchasers of firearms and ammunition, hunters and the firearm and ammunition industry are the greatest source of wildlife conservation funding.

TNVC celebrates 20th Anniversary

TNVC’s origins are firmly rooted in a “Veteran Enthusiast” place that begins with owner and founder Victor DiCosola, an Air Force veteran who went on to work in the aerospace industry. In the late-1990s and early-2000s, Vic, like many of you, became fascinated by night vision and night vision technology. The night vision market at that time, however, was far different than it is today (as was most of the firearms and tactical market). While not illegal for civilians to own, most companies at the time regarded night vision as an almost exclusively government product, there was almost no real, good, accurate information about night vision available, and little to no interest in marketing or selling to commercial users. Those vendors that would sell to commercial customers were international brokers who started out importing and selling Soviet Bloc surplus in the 1990s after the fall of the Soviet Union. Given the general lack of publicly available information, knowledge, and experience about night vision technology at the time, the night vision industry had attracted quite a few… shady characters.
TNVC began in 2005 when Vic himself was scammed by one of those shady dealers. The frustration and anger about being taken for a ride by a dealer led him to pursue becoming a night vision dealer himself—a different kind of night vision dealer than what had existed before, one dedicated not to making high margins on government sales and taking advantage of the lack of publicly available information and selling inferior products to the commercial market. Rather, the vision, from the start, was to provide knowledge and education and to provide the best available capabilities to the commercial market.

1) The device is being sold well under other authorized dealers prices. Retail prices can be referenced at larger reputable online retailers like Scheels, Optics Planet, Amazon, etc.
2) The item is shipping from unverified addresses in California and surrounding states
3) The units are being sold by an individual, not an AGM Authorized Dealer.
4) All Weapon weapon mounted optics like our Rattler V2 thermal scopes are shipped with proprietary ADM mounts we include at our Texas facility. If you ask the seller if a mount is included and he/she says no, its a red flag.
5) The RattlerV2 320 resolution unit is a new device being introduced at SHOT Show next week in Las Vegas, and no dealers have inventory of this model currently. That means, If details and information on the product in question can’t easily be found on AGM Global Vision or Authorized Dealer sites, its a red flag.
