It’s Friday and time for a shoot the shit! Before diving into our topics, I hope everyone had a great week, I certainly did and, as you all, I too am looking forward to Holiday Season festivities which I might add are nearly upon us.

A shoot the shit is an event when people gather to socialize, without using Twitter and Facebook,  to chat about everything and anything, even if you don’t have a clue of what you’re talking about. They’re good for building relationships, relaxing, congregating and overall mental health without having to pay some jackass who’s sole reason for majoring in psychology was so they could understand themselves. As a shoot the shit participant, you can make any unsupported comment, express yourself using profanity, insult anyone you wish or change the subject altogether.

Many of you know that we live in a time when the number of morons and other genetics defects are on the rise. If you don’t believe it just stand outside of an Apple store for an hour. It takes a special someone to pay 1,299 for a 256Gb iPhone X so they can send 3D talking emojis. Allow me to give you a couple of examples.

I have a BBQ grill starter that I also use when I need to light a fireplace, etc. I went to use it a few days ago and noticed that it was out of fuel, butane to be exact. I jumped into the car and went to CVS to purchase a can. When I arrived, I was looked at with askance by an employee who says in an indignant tone “ we’ve gotten rid of all our tobacco products.” I responded saying “I’m only looking for a can of butane.” “Sorry sir we no longer sell butane” was her response. Well I guess you won’t get my money today, I thought, and headed out the door to go to Walgreens.

I arrived at Walgreens where I observed the presence of tobacco products behind the counter. I was asked to be helped by the associate so I asked her for a can of butane. She looked at me saying “Oh no we don’t have that anymore.” I said “but you sell tobacco products and look you have BIC lighters, surely you have butane.” She says “Oh no we got rid of that stuff.”

Now, I don’t fault the companies’ employees but it’s a classical example of running an enterprise like a moron. Both of these companies, in an effort to be part of the PC crowd, leaped to the conclusion that selling butane is encouraging smoking. So, what I was forced to do, in order to buy butane to refill my grill starter, you guessed it,  was go to a tobacco shop! That’s your iPhone generation at work, and a vibrant example of decision making by crania-rectal inversion. Ladies and gentlemen clear thinking can only be expected from a properly oxygenated brain.

Folks, Homo sapiens have been around for 200,000 years and I’ll guarantee you that no one was checking on planetary conditions back then. So, we’ve been able to collect data for 100 years and “scientists” are forecasting on a geophysical formation called Earth that is 4.6 billion years old. Please!

Readers, our planet is 75% water and that water came from Earth’s warming over billions of years. Planetary warming acting on water is what gave us an atmosphere and as recent as 12,000 years ago our own Great Lakes were formed by global warming acting on a 12 mile thick ice cap. To suggest that climate change is directly correlated to recent human activity is equivalent to saying that you are going to speed up an oil tanker using a canoe paddle. Clean air and clean water is the right approach and lets focus on what really is important which is finding a way to house and feed 7.6 billion human beings living on a planet that has a land mass of only 25% of its surface of which 33% is uninhabitable.
