We have Apple launching a line of new iPhones and a watch that does all kinds of things; we also have a major hurricane, Florence, targeting the Southern Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina coasts, the Russian collusion fiasco is still lurking and the mainstream media fabricating stories. Can you imagine faulting The President for Florence? We need to redefine stupidity and I sincerely hope that your vote in November will send a loud message: “You may be stupid but we’re not!”
If this is not enough to send you straight to your therapist, I don’t know what is; however, do remember that your mental health practitioner studied the subject because they wanted to understand themselves. So why pay some jackass $150+ per hour – or more – when you can shoot the shit with us and achieve better results.
So, let’s talk Apple…
The 2018 Apple September launch event has come and gone but not without the customary uproar, over the new line of iPhones: iPhone XS Max, its little buddy the iPhone XS and a mainstream replacement for the iPhone x, the iPhone XR. These phones will set you back from approximately $950 – $1099 depending on model. The good news is that there appears to be no additional charge for Chinese snooping hooks. It’ll be nice to see Apple make its phones in the U.S.A.
The Apple Watch Series 4, is all-in on health with a built-in ECG and more. With the Apple watch, you can take an ECG and send the results to your physician. Personally, I would have serious concerns about a physician’s diagnosis based on Apple electrocardiography. Given the amount of opioid abuse, it would have been better for the phone to help you out with opioid induced constipation. Maybe the company’s Series 5, or greater, watches will detect moods leading to mass shootings and detonate.
The Russian Collusion
Mainstream media has largely avoided any discussion or analysis of what’s going on except to report on totally unrelated indictments of individuals associated, in varying degrees, with Donald Trumps campaign in 2016. So, here are some of my thoughts on the basis of what’s been released to date.
Yes, you have government officials that openly colluded against Donald Trump, duped the FISA Courts, etc., but you don’t devote the time and level of resources that this national embarrassment has gotten just to get even.
So, my question to you is, would you explore the possibility of China involvement. Isn’t this the same government that had an operative in Sen. Feinstein’s organization for 20 years?

Used in both tactical and strategic scenarios, lasers are an amazing tool which provide us with critical target information be it ranging or identification. While their utility is supreme, their use does come with some risk. Each device has a warning label that cautions the user against direct exposure to the eyes. In a piece for Scientific American Douglas A. Johnson, a senior health physicist and laser safety officer for Texas A&M University pointed out the dangers of direct exposure of laser radiation. Johnson, also a member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for laser safety standards noted exposure to lasers could result in harm to the retina, the part of the eye where we perceive vision.
Lasers can be deployed on both sides of a conflict so the threat of having one cause eye damage is a very real, but new problem. Imagine a scenario where two combatant teams are lasing each other in an attempt to range each other’s location. The person using binoculars or a scope is particularly at risk for laser radiation exposure as the optic creates a direct funnel to the eye. Steiner was the first company in the world to develop a filter coating to protect users of optics from this type of exposure.
Steiner, the world leader in laser protection technology, worked with a broad selection of its military clients from around the world during research and development of this filter. Changing from iron sights to a reflex sight takes some training. If you haven’t worked the mechanics, adding a reflex sight may actually slow your shooting down initially. The SPOT is a very simple and cost effective way to train for your reflexive optic. The SPOT fits on your your SIRT slide (110 models currently) and uses the red trigger take up laser to mimic the dot in a pistol mounted optic (e.g. an RMR TM).

Last week Nammo completed the first live fire trials of its recently installed GAU-22, the 4-barrelled Gatling gun carried by the F-35 Lightning II.
Housed in a purpose built facility at Raufoss, Norway, the gun is the only one of its kind outside the United States. This again makes Nammo the only ammunition provider for the F-35 able to conduct a full range of verification and acceptance testing for every production lot independently.
“This setup is really unique, in that allows us to do all the testing we need just minutes away from the production site. That again means that can cut down the time between a production lot leaving the factory, and when it is tested and ready to go to the customer. It also means we can have a much higher confidence in the quality of the products we deliver, as we are able to control every aspect of the process from beginning to end,” said program director for aircraft ammunition in Nammo, Anders Nyhus.
The GAU-22 and its associated facility have been acquired through an agreement with the Norwegian Defense Materiel Agency as part of the development of Nammo’s APEX-ammunition for the F-35. The APEX is the only ammunition type available for the F-35 that will allow the aircraft to use its gun effectively in any scenario, both peace time air-policing and wartime operations against enemy aircraft and ground units.

The role of crisis negotiator is vital to the successful resolution of critical incidents. How many of you watched Judge Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings? I watched all three days and I was exhausted, so I can only imagine what Judge Kavanaugh was feeling. I’m surprised his wife didn’t intravenously hook him up to a coffee pot. Throughout the hearings, it was apparent to me that he’s a decent human being, one that you’d love to have as a neighbor, and an active member of his community. Also apparent was his temperament and knowledge of the law. Democrats on the committee, with exception of Dianne Feinstein – way to go Dianne, were hitting the nominee with question that were insane. It was like being asked: “Do you believe that God can create a stone so heavy that he himself could not lift it.”
Judge Brett Kavanaugh will be a great jurist! I’ll guarantee you that Senators Schumer and Blumenthal will be installing life support equipment in Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s office, jusssst in case!
Senator Booker, from the great Garden State, took the booby prize. He threatened to release documents marked “Committee Confidential” to reveal racial profiling by Judge Kavanaugh, knowing that it violates Senate rules, and offering to be expelled from the Senate calling it his “Spartacus” moment. Tremendous drama with one minor detail, the documents had already been been released the day before.
