Olin Winchester, LLC is recalling two (2) lots of 17 HMR 20 Grain Jacketed Hollow Point Rimfire rifle ammunition.

Symbol: X17HMR1
Lot Numbers (last four characters): NB51 and NB61

Winchester has determined the above lots of 17 HMR ammunition may contain no powder charges. Ammunition with no powder charges may result in a bullet remaining in the barrel (i.e., a bullet-in-bore obstruction). Firing a subsequent bullet into the bore obstruction could cause firearm damage, rendering the firearm inoperable and subjecting the shooter and bystanders to a risk of serious personal injury.
DO NOT USE WINCHESTER® 17 HMR 20 GRAIN JHP SYMBOL X17HMR1 THAT HAS A LOT NUMBER ENDING IN NB51 or NB61. The ammunition Lot Number is stamped on the top of the 1000-round case and the outside of the 50-round plastic box as indicated here.

To determine if your ammunition is subject to this notice, review the Symbol and Lot Number. If it is Symbol X17HMR1 and the last four characters of the Lot Number are NB51 or NB61, immediately discontinue use and contact Winchester toll-free at 844-653-8358 for free UPS pick-up of the recalled ammunition.

Help Kluch Help the Bahamas

To help aid in recovery from hurricane Dorian, Kluch will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from their Bahamas Strong apparel to the Red Cross.

Boynton Beach, FL (September 12, 2019) – The Kluch Clothing Company feels for all those affected by the destructive forces of hurricane Dorian. To help aid in relief efforts, members of the company have made a supply run to the Bahamas to distribute clothing to those in need. Also, Kluch will be donating 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of their Bahamas Strong apparel to the Red Cross.

On Saturday morning, a number of Kluch employees joined a flotilla, running boats from the docks in Boynton Beach over to the Bahamas. Because of the devastation caused by Dorian, the fleet chose to make landfall in Grand Bahama in the Town of West End, which provided the safest port. Locals greeted their arrival, and Kluch was able to distribute some 2,000 items of clothing. After witnessing the destruction firsthand, the Kluch crew experienced a feeling of humility and a responsibility to continue to help.

To aid the ongoing relief efforts, Kluch created a line of apparel featuring the #BahamasStrong slogan, with all proceeds donated to the Red Cross. The response from the public was strong, with the first run of shirts selling out quickly. Kluch is diligently working on the next batch, which will be offered in men’s sizes small through three extra-large as well as women’s tanks. The Kluch shirts feature a Kluch cleat logo in the Bahamian colors and the Contender shirts feature the official Contender sailfish icon logo overlaid with the Bahamian flag. The Bahamas Strong shirts are printed on long sleeve performance tee’s and Ladies racerback tanks each featuring the #BahamasStrong slogan. The shirts retail for $40 and Tanks for $25, the money raised will go to the Red Cross.

Kluch offers their well wishes to the Islands that have shared their oceans with them and hopes that the vibrant Bahamian community can rebound from this tragedy. T.G.I.F. It’s been one hell of a week readers, we had a hurricane to deal with but thank God we dogged that bullet. I want to start with a sales pitch on behalf of the Bahamas. Bahamians were decimated by Hurricane Dorian, they are great people in dyer need of our help and global assistance. I’d like to ask for your help in anyway, and to the extent you’re able. You can do that through your religious organizations, Red Cross or a variety of charitable organizations working in the Bahamas. Your help is urgently needed!

We also observed 9/11 this week. I remember watching the news channel that morning just prior to my leaving on a business trip. I called Delta that morning only to be told that all flights had been cancelled. A horrendous event that I’ll never forget!

We also have the Democrat Party led by luminaries like Beto O’Roke, Ocasio-Cortez and the entourage of lackluster candidates for the 2020 election. Listening to some of the position statements these people are coming out with more than supports my theory that we are seeing government by anal-extraction, which when combine with a media that refuses to ask the tough questions makes me want to see a therapists. The only thing keeping me from doing that is my knowledge that 60% or better of therapists studied psychology because they couldn’t make it through Calculus and needed to understand themselves. I also hate to pay $150+ an hour and not receive sexual services. So, instead I shoot the shit.

A shoot the shit, is a social interaction during which any topic can be discussed, participants don’t need to know anything about the subject, they can make unsupported comments, use uncensored profanity, insult anyone they wish or change the subject at will. So, let’s shoot the shit!

Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute Publishes Accepted 12-gauge 1 ¾-inch Cartridge and Chamber Designs

ANOKA, Minnesota – September 11, 2019 – Federal recently presented its 12-gauge 1 ¾-inch Smooth Bore Barrel cartridge and chamber designs to the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute (SAAMI) to be voted on for standardization. The specifications were approved and accepted as an official new cartridge recognized by the organization. Technical data and drawings of the newly accepted 12-gauge
1 ¾-inch SAAMI Standards are now published and available to the industry as a whole, as well as to the public.
“This is big news for our new Shorty Shotshell ammunition,” said Federal’s Shotshell Product Director Rick Stoeckel. “The 12-gauge 1 ¾-inch cartridge has been around for more than a decade, but it was never brought to SAAMI to be considered by its Technical Committee. Once we decided to start manufacturing this load, we immediately submitted it to SAAMI for industry standardization. We’re excited about this approval and we deeply appreciate SAAMI’s support.”
Federal’s new Shorty Shotshells deliver similar full-sized performance without the length of standard shells. Although just 1 ¾-inch long, new Shorty shotshells offer similar patterns, energy and accuracy as full-size counterparts. Now available in 8 shot, 4 buck and rifled slug loads perfect for fun at the range.

HAPSMobile Receives Test Flight Approval from NASA’s Airworthiness and Flight Safety Review Board

TOKYO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–HAPSMobile Inc. (“HAPSMobile”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. (TOKYO: 9434) and minority-owned by AeroVironment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVAV), has received a limited flight release from NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC), Airworthiness and Flight Safety Review Board to conduct a test flight of the HAWK30 aircraft in restricted airspace. AFRC is responsible to ensure ground and range safety for the HAWK30 aircraft during this flight test series.

With this approval, HAPSMobile plans to conduct its first test flight of the HAWK30, a solar-powered unmanned aircraft to provide a stratospheric telecommunications platform system.

Revision Awarded Contract by Dutch Ministry of Defence to Deliver Next Generation Helmet System

Montreal, Quebec (September 9, 2019) – Revision—the world leader in innovative head protection systems and soldier solutions—has been selected by the Dutch Ministry of Defence (MoD) to supply Batlskin Viper® P6N helmet systems for Dutch Military Forces. The contract for delivery of approximately 48,800 combat helmets was awarded on a full and open competition basis to Revision. Additionally, a 15-year maintenance and support agreement was established, with an estimated completion date of 2034. The bespoke helmet system, developed to the Dutch MoD’s rigorous performance standards and weight requirements, represents the first major advancement in helmet technology for Dutch Military Forces in over 20 years.

Among other things, the helmets received the highest rating from the users in the test group.”

The Viper P6N helmet was developed to the exacting standards set by the Dutch MoD, and was selected in part after extensive user trials – proving that Revision’s helmets are chosen by end-users due to comfort, integration and weight. The Viper P6N helmet shell utilized advanced materials (including Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene – UHMWPE) and processes to exceed high protection standards in a lightweight, adaptable and comfortable system. More than 55,000 helmet covers in the new Dutch camouflage, “Netherlands Fractal Pattern” will be supplied in green, tan and white, and all systems will include Revision’s best-in-class APEX Liner system that is infinitely customizable for ultimate comfort and impact protection. Additional accessories include lightweight skeletonized accessory rails and the Wilcox® L4 Shroud. Revision will begin delivering helmet systems to the Dutch MoD later this year.

Barrett previews PRC-4090 Tactical HF SDR at DSEI

Barrett Communications will be previewing their latest range of HF transceivers for the digital battlefield. The new PRC-4090 Tactical HF SDR systems will be unveiled on Tuesday 10th September at DSEI on stand N6-450.

The Barrett PRC-4090 is the tactical HF SDR, which is the lightest military grade HF transceiver on the market at only 2.95kg; with multiple battery options offering gross operational weight from 3.95kg to 5.0kg. The PRC-4090 is a multi-configured system offering manpack, mobile and base station configurations with selectable power outputs of 10, 30, 125 and 150 Watts.

Verify that your Android phone has automatically updated to the new App version 1.0.38 for Android 9 compatibility or download it today from Google Play.
To work with Android 9 you must provide the MOHOC App with permission to access your phone’s location.
Once connected to your phone, the MOHOC App enables you to preview your shot, start and stop recording, take photos, live-stream video, playback recorded content, change settings, and transmit images from your device.

Barrett 4050 HF SDR transceiver receives JITC certification.

Perth, Western Australia, 2 September 2019 – Barrett Communications is pleased to announce on the 18th July 2019 it received certification from the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) for the Barrett 4050 HF SDR transceiver.
This certification includes conformance to the basic radio specification of MIL-STD-188-141B, 2G Automatic Link Establishment (ALE). The JITC certification establishes the Barrett 4050 transceivers as interoperable with other JITC certified HF transceivers. This is paramount when considering coalition and Partnership for Peace (PFP) operations and the use of Barrett transceivers in HF networks for emergency preparation and disaster relief.

RAFAEL enters unmanned aerial platform domain with acquisition of Aeronautics

September 3, 2019 – RAFAEL Advanced Defense Systems Ltd., developer and manufacturer of some of the world’s most groundbreaking technologies for air, land, naval, space and cyber applications, announces it has completed, with its partner, Mr. Avichai Stolero, the acquisition of Aeronautics Ltd., one of Israel’s leading developers of unmanned aerial systems. The deal is set to be finalized in the coming days.

Upon Closing, RAFAEL will hold 50% of Aeronautics, with partner Mr. Avichai Stolero, holding the other half. The move comes as part of RAFAEL’s long term strategy to evaluate and implement new areas of growth, including by M&A of unmanned platform companies.

Aeronautics will take part in some of RAFAEL’s innovation projects, with a vision to increase mutual growth, explore new markets, and provide end-to-end solutions in the low-tier aerial domain, relying on best practices, mutual expertise and capabilities, to create new synergies and solutions.

RAFAEL will showcase its TROPHY APS as part of all-in-one armored vehicle suite

September 3^nd, 2019 – RAFAEL Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. (Twitter: @RAFAELdefense) is participating at DSEI 2019, 10-13 September, ExCel Exhibition Center, London, UK.

RAFAEL is a pioneer developer of various categories of land systems, including Remote Controlled Weapon Station (RCWS), tactical missiles, active protection for AFV’s and more.

In first, at DSEI 2019, RAFAEL will be showcasing its complete all-in-one SAMSON^TM 30mm Remote Controlled Weapon Stations (RCWS), integrated with two SPIKE^TM missiles and the TROPHY^TMActive Protection System (APS).

Developed by RAFAEL, TROPHY is the world’s only operational, safety-certified APS in the world, providing combat-proven protection against anti-armor rocket and missile threats, for various types of light, medium and heavy weight platforms. TROPHY has the unique ability of locating and reporting the origin of the hostile fire for immediate response.

TROPHY is in service in the Israel Defence Forces on the Merkava Mk 3&4 and on the NAMER APC with over 600,000 operation hours. It has also recently been ordered by the U.S Army and Marine Corps.

With more than 5000 SAMSON RCWS systems in service worldwide, the addition of SPIKE and TROPHY significantly contributes to the mobility, maneuverability, survivability and lethality of the platform, all from the same OEM.

Targeting specific land and air applications, RAFAEL will also exhibit the SPIKE Family of multi-platform, multi-purpose, electro-optical missiles, with varying ranges of up to 30km (SPIKE NLOS), and the 5^th generation SPIKE LR2 which has already been ordered by a number of customers around the world. Altogether, SPIKE Family systems have been sold to 33 countries, including 18 EU and NATO nations, with over 30,000 missiles already delivered and 6,000 fired in combat and in tests.

In addition, at DSEI 2019 RAFAEL will exhibit the DRONE DOME^TM, an innovative end-to-end system designed to provide effective airspace defense against hostile drones (Micro and Nano UAVs), with SKYSPOTTER^TM – an advanced EO sensor for real-time airspace monitoring, early detection and accurate tracking of aerial objects, including drones, aircraft, UAV’s, etc.

DRONE DOME has been sold to a number of customers, including the UK MOD.
