CRIMSON TRACEReviews: See what people are saying about the award-winning lasersaddle

“JUST WHAT THIS

GUN NEEDED”

I recently installed an LS-250G on my Shockwave and love it! It is ideal for firing from your side or hip with great accuracy. Anyone who has fired a Shockwave with full power loads knows the further away from your face you keep this gun the better off you are! If you are thinking about a lasersaddle, do it. You won’t regret it.
-Rich

“PEACE OF MIND

A must for my Mossberg Shockwave FDE. I truly hope I never have to use it for defending my family. I feel a peace of mind knowing I am prepared if ever needed though. We use it at home by our bed plus for security at our cabin in PA. Installed in a matter of minutes. Easy to use for me and my wife. Fits in the shotgun scabbard unlike other lasers that stick out and catches the scabbard lining. No regrets.
-Colin

“FANTASTIC

I just installed my new Lasersaddle on my Mossberg 500 and it was very easy. The laser fits perfectly and is easy to operate. If you have a saddle on the side of your shotgun, like I do, it will not get in the way at all. It makes aiming a piece of cake. If you own a Shockwave, this is a must have item. You can shoot from the hip with complete confidence you will hit what you are aiming at. Love this new product, and keep up the great work.

500 INDRA PROFESSIONALS PROVIDE LOGISTICAL SUPPORT FOR THE ARMED FORCES IN THEIR FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19

image

· Indra’s command and control technology and logistical information systems facilitate the activities of the three branches of the Armed Forces, the Military Emergency Units (UMEs) and the Royal Guard at a moment of extraordinary organizational difficulty

· Indra’s solutions and equipment facilitate the maintenance of the aircraft with which medical supplies have been distributed and soldiers have been deployed throughout Spain. At the same time they have supported the Galicia, the hospital ship sent to Melilla, they have maintained the radars and systems that protect the airspace and they have helped with the planning of the UMEs

Madrid, April 24, 2020.- More than 500 Indra professionals are providing direct support on the ground for the work of the Armed Forces throughout Spain in their fight against COVID-19.

Through this team of professionals, Indra’s command and control technology and logistical information systems are providing the necessary support for the activities of the three Armed Forces, the UMEs (Military Emergency Units) and the Royal Guard, at a moment when organization is exceptionally complicated.

These activities are chiefly related to the disinfection of critical infrastructures (ports, airports and stations), healthcare facilities and stations, support during the setting up of field hospitals and the transport of various materials to healthcare locations and facilities, as well as the disinfection of 130 care homes and the transfer of the sick and elderly from hospitals to hotels converted to emergency hospitals.

Indra’s team of professionals is giving support with the maintenance of critical defense systems and the checking of electronic equipment for aircraft, ships and vehicles such as:

· The maintenance and checking of the aircraft and helicopters responsible for distributing medical supplies throughout Spain, as well as the air transfer of the soldiers deployed to more than 1,000 towns and cities to disinfect critical infrastructures and care homes and erect field hospitals.

· The maintenance of the systems of the Galicia, the ship which, equipped with a hospital, set sail to Melilla on 9th April to provide medical support and transport the soldiers who helped the local authorities with the disinfection tasks.

Likewise, Indra’s deface technology is facilitating the maintenance of the logistical information systems. These are necessary for the planning and control of materials, given that they make it easier for all the units to obtain spare parts and electronic components if they need them by activating warehouse logistics mechanisms, controlling stocks, shipping orders to suppliers and ensuring that every part and component reaches the place where it’s needed on time.

Indra’s professionals are also responsible for maintaining the radars and systems that protect Spanish airspace, and in recent weeks they have ensured that the air transport of goods has not been disrupted, providing support throughout the territory.

Indra’s technology also supports the UMEs deployed throughout the Spanish territory by means of the SIMGE (military emergency management system), which allows the commands to obtain all the information they require for their decision-making and the coordination of the troops’ activities.

About Indra

Indra (www.indracompany.com) is one of the leading global technology and consulting companies and the technological partner for core business operations of its customers world-wide. Blackhawk Introduces T-Series L2C Holster for Glock 20/21

BH_L2C_GLK20_CC_1

Level 2 Compact Holster Now Available for 10mm and 45 AUTO Pistols

VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia – April 23, 2020 – Blackhawk, a leader in the law enforcement and military equipment realm for over 20 years, announced today that it has expanded its popular line of T-Series holsters with the introduction of a Level 2 Compact (L2C) model engineered to accommodate the Glock 20/21 pistols.

Like previously introduced Blackhawk models, the L2C holster has been specifically designed to assist with concealed carry. Each holster model is standard with a new speed cut to help with a faster draw and features a low-profile design for ease of concealment. The L2C holster is also RMR-compatible, enabling users the ability to add a red dot to their carry firearm.

The duty-rated holster is standard with an all-new Quick Dual Release (QDR) attachment method. Using an intuitive button release, the QDR allows the holster to be easily added and removed from a belt without weaving it through traditional belt loops. The QDR can easily accommodate belts ranging from 1.5 to 2.25 inches and allows the holster to be canted at various angles, depending on user preference. In addition to the QDR attachment, all T-Series L2C holsters come standard with a 2-slot belt loop. The 2-slot belt loop has been ergonomically designed to follow the body contour and help reduce offset.

The Blackhawk T-Series line is the world’s first thumb driven, dual-injected molded holster. The holster combines the company’s proven outer body strength made possible with a glass reinforced nylon along with a soft touch inner layer that is both super slick and sound-dampening. This durable and efficient, low-friction design translates into a smooth, quiet draw or when re-holstering the sidearm. Designed to follow Blackhawk’s Master Grip Principle, all T-Series holsters have been specifically developed to allow the user’s hand to land naturally where it should in order to deploy the sidearm.

All T-Series models are duty-rated and with their shared functionality, Blackhawk has helped solve the commonality of training with the same draw for every model holster. Whether going from Level 2, Level 2 Compact or Level 3 retention, the draw stroke remains the same even when the holster changes. This inherent design makes the T-Series the ideal holster to meet the needs of law enforcement and military professionals.

For more information on the new L2C holster for the Glock 20/21 or to view the complete line of T-Series holsters be sure to visit www.blackhawk.com.

Othram Uses Forensic Genealogy to help Southeast Missouri State University Anthropologist Identify Remains found on a Charleston, Missouri farm in 1979

The identification was made through a collaboration between Othram and a team of anthropology students, lead by Anthropology Professor Dr. Jennifer Bengtson.

Forensic depiction of Charleston, MO John Doe

The Woodlands, Texas (April 2020) Othram, the leading forensic sequencing laboratory for law enforcement, is pleased to announce the identity of human remains found on a Charleston, Missouri farm in 1979. In Feb. 2020, Dr. Jennifer Bengston, Ph.D., Associate Professor from Southeast Missouri State University, partnered with the Othram laboratory and lead genealogists, Lee and Anthony Redgrave, to utilize the latest forensic genealogy technologies to help identify human remains held at the University as part of Dr. Bengtson’s forensic anthropology program.

The remains, found in 1979 in an agricultural field near Charleston, Missouri, had been burned prior to discovery.  No identity could be established at that time and the remains were eventually turned over to Southeast Missouri State University. Dr. Bengtson and her students have been working on the case since 2013. In 2016, Dr. Bengtson and her students submitted the case to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs), a national clearinghouse and resource center for the missing, unidentified and unclaimed persons across the United States. Traditional STR profiling by the University of North Texas Center for Human Identification (UNTCHI) did not turn up any clues as to the person’s identity.

Dr. Bengtson and her team at SEMO sent a small sample of the remains to Othram in early 2020 in the hopes of solving this case while providing her students a valuable learning platform. The Othram laboratory specializes in extracting and enriching human DNA from degraded, contaminated sources such as bone. Once the lab digitized a full genome from the remains, lead forensic genealogists at Othram, Anthony Lukas Redgrave and Lee Bingham Redgrave, took the genetic data and worked with Dr. Bengtson and her students to recreate his genetic lineage.

“Having trained many law enforcement professionals in forensic genealogy, I was excited to work with students with a cross-disciplinary perspective to see their unique ways of looking at an unresolved case. Together, we came to a tentative identification within four days of uploading the DNA profile,” Anthony Redgrave stated.

The geneaological research yielded interesting information about Missouri’s rich cultural history, an added benefit for Dr. Bengtson’s anthropology students. The man was found to be a descendent from early French settlers of Old Mines, an unincorporated community in southeast Missouri. The area was rich in lead ore and in the early 18th century, French colonists settled there when it was known as the Illinois County of New France. Sometimes known as “paw-paw” French, they spoke a dialect known as Creoles. Most of the residents either mined or farmed and the culture of Missouri French was slowly dying out in the early 20th century due to self-isolation and a new population moving in.

For over 40 years, the cause and manner of death were unknown. Upon identification of the deceased, it was learned that his death was not a homicide, and as such, his family has a right to maintain their privacy. His family has asked that his full name not be released, but they have generously allowed us to share part of his story. He went by the name Harry and was in his mid-30s when he drowned in the Mississippi River. His death was known to his family, although his remains were never recovered. Significant flooding in 1979 resulted in Harry’s remains washing up on a farm downriver within a year of his death. His remains were likely burned incidentally as a result of a routine field maintenance before they were ultimately discovered by the farmer. He remained unidentified for 41 years before Othram and Dr. Bengtson’s team were able to finally identify him and contact his family.

“Harry now has his name back and a family that can bring him home,” David Mittelman, CEO of Othram stated. “Not every unidentified persons case is the result of a crime. However, everyone deserves an identity and to be reconnected with their family.”

“Over the years, my students and I have felt very connected to this case and were determined to solve it,” Dr. Bengtson added. “Othram was able to successfully extract DNA from the remains and after the DNA was digitized, their genetic genealogy team demonstrated to our students the process of determining his genealogical line and how that can help us arrive at an identity. What previously took years with no resolution, was quickly processed with the help of Othram. For my students, this unique learning experience demonstrates how, as anthropologists, our ability to work with a variety of professionals in different fields of forensic science is crucial in resolving cases, especially those as old and complicated as this one.”

Buy American…So What?

Since witnessing the impacts that COVID-19 has had on the American economy, jobs and businesses alike, some have said that, “Now is the time to buy American,” and, “This is why it’s important to buy American.” While we have no qualms with that statement, we cannot help but ask, has there ever been a time to not buy American? When has it ever been unimportant?
Yes, now is a great time, but truth be told, the time to buy American was yesterday, last week, last month, last year, a decade ago, twenty-five years ago! It has always been important for American jobs and to keep America independent.
Some of the effects on the economy we are seeing now are testimony of the decisions made to outsource materials, manufacturing and services. While the motivator for making such a decision is often based on profit, is that worth everything it has cost America today?
For B&T Industries, a small manufacturing company in Kansas, it goes beyond principle to keep all aspects of our business in America. We are thankful to be Americans and proud of our American made products and stand behind their quality and durability.
While there is added costs to “Made in America,” the materials, keeping the machines running and paying hard working Americans an honest wage. It is worth it and always will be. We always have and are STILL proudly designing, engineering, machining and assembling in the United States of America.

MAMA SAID SHE LOVED ME BUT SHE COULD BE JIVING ME TOO!

Lee Van Cleef GIF - Find & Share on GIPHY

Readers can you believe it’s Friday again. I hope you are all holding up well. The gif above depicts my feelings when confronted with the thought of one more game of Call of Duty, but hey folks hang in there we are in the home stretch so hold the line; be creative, try to get a little exercise in and don’t let it get to you. If it’s too much for you to handle, resist the temptation to engage in tele-therapy. You’re going to pay $150+ per hour to a jackass who’s studied psychology so they could understand themselves, instead schedule a Zoom or Skype shoot the shit with your friends. What’s a shoot the shit?

Rumor has it that a shoot the shit was invented by a boatswain. It’s a social interaction during which any topic can and is discussed. Participants don’t need to know anything about the topic or topics being discussed, they can use uncensured profanity, insult anyone they wish or change the subject altogether. Far more effective than the therapist and you can save your money for some ammo so you’re ready when the range opens up. So, let’s shoot the shit.

Coronavirus

If you watched today’s Corona Virus Task Force Briefing, you caught Bill Bryant, Acting Under Secretary for Science and Technology at DHS, go over some of his agency’s testing results as they pertain to the coronavirus chain. In that presentation he identified the effects of sunlight, or better stated ultraviolet light, bleach, alcohol, humidity and high temperatures on the coronavirus in shortening its viability on a variety of surfaces and in air. Well, already it is being interpreted as you should be outside and avoid mitigation. Absolutely not the case as Mr. Bryant indicated. The findings provide a set of additional knowledge tools to help us manage the virus and learn how the virus responds to specific conditions.

So, sanitize your home as you have been doing and limit social contact to a minimum, in other words continue to follow the CDC guidelines. If you’re infected and asymptomatic, which is a common condition, stripping naked and standing under a U.V. tanning lamp may improve your sex life but will do nothing to rid you of the infection. Placing a cookie sheet under a U.V. light for a couple of minutes or less will sterilize the cookie sheet. Keep in mind that ultraviolet light has a carthogenicity component, intensity and dosage needs to be carefully controlled as is duration of exposure. I hope everyone is tracking this.

Words

I learned a new word this week, it has German/Austrian origins. The word is schmick. There are a number of meanings or uses of the word but it can also mean to initiate sexual intercourse with a sleeping partner. Now, I don’t understand how this happens without waking your partner, but considering the mechanics of sexual intercourse it either means you’re an asshole bandit or pencil dick.

Economic Stimulus

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin deserves every accolade, award and recognition the White House has to offer. He did an amazing job working with Congress to put together a financial rescue package for the country. He and President Donald J Trump put a parachute on the U.S. economy that will make its landing much, much softer. But, once Congress gets their hands on it you end up with language that is poorly written and was probably never read, so citizens on the receiving end may react adversely. This video is a clear illustration (adult language)

At the opposite end of the scale is the child’s story titled Brenda’s Beaver Needs a Barber (available at Amazon.com )

Have a great weekend! Laugh a little, be safe and be kind to yourself, your family and others.

Firearm Industry Honors Senator Shelley Moore Capito as Legislator of the Year

NSSF The Firearms Industry Trade Association

NEWTOWN, Conn. – The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearm, ammunition, hunting and recreational shooting sports industry, recognized U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.V.) as the 2019 National Shooting Sports Foundation Legislator of the Year for her unwavering commitment to protect one of our nation’s most cherished traditions and for fighting to uphold our constitutional rights.

Senator Capito sponsored the bipartisan Target Practice and Marksmanship Training Support Act, S. 94, which provides states with greater flexibility to use Pittman-Robertson funds derived from excise taxes paid by firearm and ammunition manufacturers for the development and maintenance of public shooting ranges. The “Range Bill” paved the way for increased safe recreational target shooting opportunities after it was enacted. Senator Capito also championed efforts to ensure that the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) is adequately funded to provide quality customer service to firearm retailers.

“We are honored to present Senator Capito with the 2019 NSSF Legislator of the Year Award for her perseverance and steadfast leadership in the U.S. Senate, particularly for playing a key role in the passage and enactment of the ‘Range Bill,’ as well as her tireless efforts to help ensure FBI NICS is equipped to provide customer service to federally licensed firearms retailers,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “Senator Capito has been an invaluable partner to the firearm and ammunition industry within the Halls of Congress. NSSF appreciates her commitment to invest in responsible firearm ownership and wildlife conservation, and we applaud her continued efforts in support of hunting, the shooting sports, and the Second Amendment, which stand to benefit not only West Virginians but Americans all across this nation.”

“West Virginia has a proud Second Amendment history. Our heritage is steeped in the beauty of our outdoors and the shooting sports we all love,” said Senator Capito. “I’m honored to receive this award from the National Shooting Sports Foundation, and I’m proud to have led our successful effort to enact the Target Practice and Marksmanship Training Support Act into law. That legislation will enhance opportunities for Americans to participate in shooting sports. I will continue working alongside you to promote outdoor recreations, hunting, gun safety, and gun rights across our nation.”

The Target Practice and Marksmanship Training Support Act, or “Range Bill,” was a top NSSF priority. It was introduced as 29 different bills, since the 110th Congress. Over a decade, the legislation was included in 15 separate bill packages, that for reasons unrelated to the “Range Bill” failed to reach Congressional consensus. Previously, states provided 25 percent of construction costs to access the matching 75 percent. The “Range Bill” lowered the local match to 10 percent with 90 percent provided from Pittman-Robertson funds. The law also increases the amount of time states have to use their allocation to five fiscal years, providing additional flexibility to acquire land for range construction or expansion projects.

Since 1937, the fund has generated more than $12.5 billion for wildlife conservation and safety education programs in all 50 states. NSSF estimates more than 80 percent of Pittman-Robertson excise tax contributions are generated by sales attributed to recreational shooting.

About NSSF

The National Shooting Sports Foundation is the trade association for the firearms industry. Its mission is to promote, protect and preserve hunting and the shooting sports. Formed in 1961, NSSF has a membership of thousands of manufacturers, distributors, firearms retailers, shooting ranges, sportsmen’s organizations and publishers nationwide. Outdoor Edge Secures Key Win in Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against American Outdoor Brands

DENVER (April 21, 2020) — Outdoor Edge today announced that it has prevailed in a patent infringement proceeding concerning the company’s popular RazorSafeTM series of replaceable blade knives against American Outdoor Brands.
The initial suit was filed on January 14, 2020, three days after American Outdoor Brands displayed a knife, under the brand “Old Timer” for sale at the Archery Trade Association Show in Indianapolis, January 9-11, 2020.
The AOB knife featured a comparable mechanism for locking and releasing a replaceable blade and a similar blade support system to that of Outdoor Edge, thus clearly in-fringing several Outdoor Edge patents.
After receiving the formal Outdoor Edge complaint, American Outdoor Brands immediately discontinued its efforts to manufacture, market and sell the infringing design.
“We are very excited to have secured a win in our fight to protect the intellectual property of Outdoor Edge. The result clearly reinforces the strength of our patent portfolio and reaffirms our role as a top brand and leading innovator of proprietary cutlery products,” said David Bloch, owner. “We will continue to enforce our patent rights against any competitor who copies our ideas or infringes on any of our patents.”
In light of the fact that American Outdoor Brands has complied by taking the said product off the market, Outdoor Edge has dismissed its claims against the company without prejudice, preserving its right to enforce its patent rights against AOB and others if the infringing design or another resurfaces.
Outdoor Edge has been granted exclusive rights to 62 inventions or designs in the United States, the European Union, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, France, and China. More specifically, Outdoor Edge owns seven U.S. Utility Patents, 29 U.S. De-sign Patents, two Chinese Utility Models, and 24 Design Registrations in various for-eign countries. Currently, Outdoor Edge has 12 patent applications pending in the U.S. with many more planned.
American Outdoor Brands Corporation markets and distributes more than 18 consum-er brands including Smith and Wesson, Thompson Center, Battenfeld Technologies and the Old Timer, Schrade, Uncle Henry, Bubba and Smith and Wesson knife brands.

NSSF The Firearms Industry Trade Association

More than $250,000 in contributions, 77 pro-industry legislators supported

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Shooting Sports Foundation® Political Action Committee, NSSF®PAC, released its 2019 Year in Review report to members and industry partners announcing over $250,000 in contributions received during the last year. The contribution total represents unprecedented support for the NSSF PAC during an off-election year and places the committee in a strong position to support pro-firearm and ammunition industry legislators during the 2020 election year.

“NSSF had a tremendously successful 2019 and accomplished our mission to place member companies in the best position to be successful moving forward,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF PAC Treasurer and Senior Vice President for Government Relations and Public Affairs. “With the financial resources the NSSF PAC received from our friends in the firearm, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industry last year, we look forward to working to elect even more pro-industry, pro-sportsmen and pro-Second Amendment allies to join us in Washington, D.C. after November’s elections.”

Highlights included in detail in the 2019 NSSF PAC Year in Review:

  • 244 Individual Contributors
  • $258,063 Total Contributions
  • $185,705 Total Distributions
  • 77 Legislators Supported

In addition to the extraordinary financial contributions the NSSF PAC received in 2019, the committee also organized and hosted numerous events attended by industry leaders and policymakers supporting the industry. The NSSF PAC hosted key events coinciding with NSSF’s SHOT Show®, the industry’s 12th Annual Congressional Fly-In in Washington, D.C. and the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers. These events were attended by leaders in the firearm industry and more than two dozen members of Congress. The NSSF PAC distributed over $100,000 in support of industry allies.

The NSSF PAC co-hosted more than two dozen recreational shooting sports events in 2019 benefitting members of Congress. These events garnered financial resources for congressional allies of the hunting and shooting sports industry, while also providing an opportunity to feature products from member companies, introduce the shooting sports to new participants and discuss our industry’s legislative priorities.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the NSSF PAC, which has grown in size and influence each year. Keane noted that the NSSF PAC and contributors eagerly look forward to the 2020 presidential and congressional elections.

Vortex awarded OTA for Army’s Next Gen Squad Weapon Fire Control Prototype Program

BARNEVELD, Wis. For the last 18 years, innovation has meant everything to Vortex Optics. It’s meant our emergence as a leader in the sport optics industry. It’s allowed us to provide our customers the tools they need to pursue and protect what matters most in their lives.

But starting today, our dedication to innovation means something even more.
We’re honored to announce that the US Army – PM Soldier Lethality awarded Vortex® an agreement to deliver the Next Generation Squad Weapon-Fire Control (NGSW-FC) Production Ready Prototypes for Soldier TouchPoint (STP) evaluations.

As a direct-view optic, the 1-8×30 Active Reticle™ Fire Control provides everything you’d expect from a variable-power, first focal plane riflescope. When augmented with an overlaid digital display, however, it provides features unheard of in a traditional small arms fire control.

“As a veteran-owned, non-traditional defense contractor, it’s very important to us that we listen to warfighters,” said Sam Hamilton, Chief Technical Officer at Vortex Optics. “When we learned of the soldier’s need for increased lethality out of their squad weapons—combined with the Small Arms Ammunition Configuration (SAAC) study, which proved that advancements in electro-optical fire control had the greatest potential to increase soldier’s lethality—we knew there was an important capability gap we could fill.”

The Vortex Optics 1-8×30 Active Reticle™ Fire Control is built around a revolutionary technology based on many years of internal research and development, along with multiple cooperative development efforts with the Army’s PM-Soldier Weapons group. The end result is Active Reticle™, which has been proven to increase hit percentage and decrease time to engage during US Army Soldier touchpoints over the last two years.

Even in the case of a battery power loss, soldiers are left with an uncompromised 1-8x, direct-view optic and glass-etched reticle exceeding current capability.

Hamilton said, “By combining a unity power 1-8x direct view optic utilizing a first focal plane, etched reticle, a 1km capable laser rangefinder, state of the art on-board ballistic engine, atmospheric sensor suite, and programmable active matrix micro-display overlaid onto the first focal plane, Active Reticle™ delivers a true multi-mission fire control enabling everything from CQB to designated marksmanship at the extents of the NGSW’s effective range.”

For the soldier in the field, that means the freedom to devote their entire focus downrange. Hamilton said, “End-users will no longer need to leave their field of view to consult separate rangefinders or ballistic calculators, slowing them down and compromising their situational awareness.”

About Vortex Optics: American-owned, veteran-owned, Wisconsin-based Vortex Optics designs, engineers, produces, and distributes a complete line of premium sport optics, accessories, and apparel. Built on over 30 years of providing unrivaled customer service and exceptional quality, Vortex® has emerged as a leader in the optics market.

Sneak Preview: Columbia River Knife and Tool M40-03 a Kit Carson Design

20200420_230232

Kit Carson, a Kentucky resident and retired Master Sergeant was a distinguished knife designer. Kit passed in 2014, but prior to making his final journey Kit devoted 44 years of his life to designing excellent blades. The M40-03 is a perfect example of his work, and it may not be a surgeon’s first choice but in a pinch I guarantee it will fill the need. The pivot and lock up of this folder is one of the best I’ve seen.

Introducing the FasTrax PAC for Larger Guns!

Header Logo

Fastrax Elite

PHOENIX, April 2020
Galco is excited to introduce a larger version of the extremely popular FasTrax PAC™ waistpack, an instant bestseller the moment it was introduced at SHOT Show 2020. Designed to blend with casual modern clothing styles, the FasTrax PAC discreetly carries a compact defensive handgun ready for action.
Unlike old-style waistpacks that required the user to dig deeply into the pack or tear it open to draw the handgun, the FasTrax PAC uses a highly innovative combination of a pivoting holster component and external activation cord. This enables you to get your handgun into action much faster than with legacy waistpack designs. As we all know, speed is often in very short supply when you need a handgun to defend yourself and your loved ones.
Comfort is key when carrying all day, of course. To maximize wearer comfort, the FasTrax PAC’s back panel is made of Galco’s Comfort Cloth™, a soft and breathable adaptive performance mesh that keeps the pack comfortable against your body when worn all day long, even on those hot summer days.
Convenient concealment is also important. The FasTrax’s adjustable, stretchable elasticized waist strap also helps make for easy carry, and uses a Nexus® buckle for quick on-off capability. The pack’s contemporary front face has a zippered pocket that carries EDC items like spare ammunition, keys, a wallet, phone or flashlight. A helpful pass-through port on the front pocket accommodates cables for earbuds or other devices.
Designed to fit handguns larger than those fitting the original, the FasTrax PAC in the new size is easily adjustable to fit a wide variety of handguns in the size range of the Glock 19 or S&W M&P Compact. It will also fit all the handguns the original FasTrax accommodates, though gun carriers with only subcompact handguns may prefer the original for its slightly smaller dimensions.
Galco’s patent-pending FasTrax PAC tops the list for comfortable, convenient carry and speed into action in an increasingly casually-dressed world. It’s available in gray/black or MultiCam Black for $89 and black leather for $109.

Galco International, LTD is the designer and manufacturer of the Galco holster brand, the premier American-made line of superb-quality holsters, belts and accessories. Encompassing law enforcement, military, defensive and sporting use, the Galco brand utilizes leather, nylon, injection-molded plastic and Kydex® to meet the demands of today’s consumers. The award-winning Matrix™ line of holsters and accessories, women’s holster handbags, tactical slings and hunting accessories round out the line. All Galco products are proudly made in the USA since 1969.

Butler Creek ASAP Electronic Loader Wins NRA Golden Bullseye

BCAAR15EML_LGShooting Illustrated Names ASAP Electronic Loader as 2020 Accessory of the Year

OVERLAND PARK, Kansas – April 20, 2020 – Butler Creek, maker of smart, field-proven hunting and shooting accessories, is pleased to announce that the company’s ASAP Electronic Magazine Loader was named the 2020 Accessory of the Year by Shooting Illustrated magazine. Butler Creek will be recognized with the NRA Publications Golden Bullseye Award in the May 2020 issue of Shooting Illustrated.

“Shooting an AR-15 is incredibly fun, but in order to shoot them, you first have to load magazines, which is decidedly less fun,” said Ed Friedman, Editor-in-Chief, Shooting Illustrated. “The Butler Creek ASAP Electronic Magazine Loader makes loading AR magazines fast, easy and effortless, leaving you with more mags loaded in far, far less time. That translates into more time to shoot and fingers that don’t hurt. That alone made it an obvious choice for the Golden Bullseye Award for Accessory of the Year.”

The ASAP Electronic Magazine Loader is the only product of its kind on the market. Through its state-of-the-art designs, the ASAP EML allows users the ability to fill the hopper with loose .223/5.56 rounds, select the desired round count and simply press one button to load their magazines. The machine automatically orientates the ammunition and can load a 30-round magazine in 45 seconds.

Made with serious competitors and training facilities in mind, the ASAP EML will work with most AR15/M16 magazines. The loader is standard with a dual power supply via an AC adapter or through lithium-ion batteries. Users can easily load magazines with 1 to 40 rounds through the selection menu, with the ability to set up multiple magazines to coincide with various training drills or firearms platforms.
