Field-tested and recommended by law enforcement officers in the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) Member Tested and Recommended Program.

The TT Head Rest IFAK uses the inclusive “IFAK” hook-and-loop patch for color-marked, attaching straps that can be accessed from either side. Both sides are removable and can be individually configured. A length-adjustable fastening system allows for a secure, “no-flapping” fit to the car seat headrest, an issue a Field Tester from Arizona identified, “My current IFAK is a zippered pouch with Velcro straps that loosely hangs from my headrest posts. This Tasmanian Tiger IFAK is an improvement. I like that it snugs up to the headrest and doesn’t flog around (all 4-sides too not just top/bottom).”

A Field Tester from Florida offered, “TT Head Rest IFAK- I installed the bag on my headrest (Ford Explorer), using the extenders, without any issues. I placed all of the first aid items in the bag that I thought I would need. The bag unfolded for easy access to all of the items I placed into it. As usual with Tasmanian products, it was well made.”

NSSF Partners with Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation on First Shots, +ONE Efforts

NEWTOWN, Conn. – NSSF^®, the firearm industry trade association, is pleased to announce that it has formed a partnership with the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF) to promote NSSF’s First Shots^® program and +ONE^SM Movement initiatives through SSSF’s family of teams and their home ranges.

SSSF is a 501(c)(3) public charity that oversees all activities of its two youth development programs, the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP ) and the Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP). SCTP focuses on fostering participation in the clay target sports, including skeet, trap, sporting clays and Olympic-style trap and skeet disciplines, whereas SASP supports participation in steel-target action handgun and rifle competitions. Both team-based programs welcome youths ranging from grade-school through college age, with students mentored and coached by trained volunteers.

NSSF’s +ONE Movement likewise has fostering participation in the shooting sports as its foundation. Launched in 2019, +ONE was created to inspire gun owners to introduce someone to target shooting or hunting. Mentors signing the +ONE Pledge take the time to show how safe and enjoyable the shooting sports are and are encouraged to extend invitations to those whose families don’t traditionally own firearms, target shoot or hunt. It is, at its heart, a “pay-it-forward” movement, one designed to welcome anyone who might have an interest in these pursuits but didn’t know where or to whom to turn to get involved.

“A partnership with SSSF is organic outreach at its best,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Director, Retail & Range Business Development. “Mentoring is not only what SSSF does best, it’s what its students do best. All of them are out there asking their schoolmates, Sunday school classmates and sports teammates to join them—and their parents are doing the same with neighbors, work colleagues and friends who have children. Our +ONE resources will only expand what this organization and its club members already do so well.”

Adding First Shots to the mix is a natural, Snow added. The newly introduced First Shots Clay Targets program combined with the original First Shots programs for handguns and rifles will serve as a key community outreach and recruitment tool for SCTP/SASP teams along with their home ranges. Intended for people who have never handled a firearm before or who are just getting started, these events typically start in the classroom where firearm safety and functionality are covered. Participants then move to the range where, with personal instruction, they take their first successful shots and start their shooting sports journey.

“The kids and young adults participating in SCTP and SASP competitions are, of course, experienced with safe firearm handling and have advanced skill sets. But they didn’t start out that way. Each and every one of them had someone introduce them to the shooting sports,” said Snow.

“Because of those strong beginnings, they are passionate about competition and teamwork, so they also have a natural tendency to ask their peers to give it a try. Making our First Shots program and resources available to SCTP and SASP clubs adds an easy, safe and, most importantly, enjoyable method of entry for those who want to shoot alongside their friends. Used in conjunction with +ONE, we expect this to be a model for reducing barriers to entry and increasing participation in the shooting sports.”

We Americans declared our freedom from King George in 1776. America has survived for 244 years mainly because we are One. The framers of our Constitution thought long and hard about hardships endured under a monarchy. All this while we were fighting for our independence from the British. After the dust had somewhat settled Ten Amendments were added. They contain the following:

Protects freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly and the right to petition the government.
Protects the right to keep and bear arms
Restricts the quartering of soldiers in private homes
Prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures and sets out requirements for search warrants based on probable cause
Sets out rules for indictment by grand jury and eminent domain, protects the right to due process, and prohibits self-incrimination and double jeopardy
Protects the right to a speedy public trial by jury, to notification of criminal accusations, to confront the accuser, to obtain witnesses and to retain counsel
Provides for the right to a jury trial in civil lawsuits
Prohibits excessive fines and excessive bail, as well as cruel and unusual punishment
States that rights not enumerated in the Constitution are retained by the people
States that the federal government possesses only those powers delegated, or enumerated, to it through the Constitution

The Constitution and these Amendments must be held least we return to a form of government far worse than that from which we came. A strong ebb in our love of this Nation is pulling at our moorings.

What will rot our hull, eat our worm shoe, corrode our zincs? Elimination of the filibuster where majority rules? Citizenship or right to vote to those that did not earn it? Open boarders and Globalization? Large Government? National Debt? Health Care? Imports exceeding exports? Enabling in the guise of Welfare? Indoctrination hidden behind the curtain of Education? Elimination of the Electoral College? Defunding the Police? Our history evidenced by Monuments? Abortion? Gay Rights? Reparations? Segregation by two National Anthems? How are we to stow this cargo? Some of it is toxic and fluid. Some of it makes a lot of noise and is abrasive.

When this vessels keel was laid down the holds were designed with freedom and liberty in mind. Many personal liberties I find immoral, but that is between them and their God and no ones business. The stevedores and crew need to quit shouting at each other over it. Some Black’s need to wake up each morning and remember they are Americans. Their ancestors were unfortunate to be slaves, but Blacks are very fortunate indeed to be American. Autres temps, autres moeurs.

I have sailed most oceans and seas in the Northern Hemisphere and lived abroad for nearly five years. Americans live in a country that provides more freedom, opportunity, and a better lifestyle than any country I can think of. Yet within the last eight months we are destroying ourselves from within. A few are pent on mutiny with a course to run us upon rocks and shoals. Race Baiters are fueling a revolution. STOP! We must unite to save the ship. United we stand, divided we fall.

Waters are being tested in New York City. Will lives and property drown in the experiment? The mutineers are turning up an unmarked channel with a huge eddy of swirling patriots. When sliding into the eddy will the crew unite and save the ship? If lost what will the keel of the new vessel look like? Socialism? Communism? The mutiny is on deck. It must be stopped immediately and decisively with no quarter given. The mutineers? The Leadership of the Democratic Party.

Face mask requirements

Wearing a face covering is one of the most important ways to stay safe in the airport and on board. A study by international experts indicated that the spread of COVID-19 would be drastically reduced if 80 percent of the population wore a face covering combined with social distancing. That’s why we want to ensure you are aware of the requirement to wear a mask during boarding and throughout your flight. If you choose not to comply with this or any other safety requirement, you risk losing the ability to fly with Delta in the future. Comer, Ga. (June 2020) – MasterPiece Arms (MPA), manufacturers of the MPA BA Rifles and Chassis Systems, has added a fourth rifle to its MPA BA Hunter Rifle line, the MPA Pork Chop Rifle. It’s latest addition to its Hunter Rifle line is a purpose-designed rifle for varmint hunters, ranchers, and herd management purposes. It provides the shooter with the ability to make longer shots with a rifle that can still be comfortably packed into the most extreme terrain. Whether eliminating hogs, pigs, coyotes, armadillos, groundhogs, prairie dogs, or other varmints, in addition to managing the herd, the MPA Pork Chop Rifle will take care of the job. From the lightweight construction to the technologically superior chassis design, the MPA Pork Chop Rifle provides varmint hunters and ranchers an entirely new level of performance and accuracy standard not seen in this segment of the precision hunting market.

Built upon the MPA Hybrid Chassis, the MPA Pork Chop Rifle is customized with its own Cerakote® paint scheme, including a laser engraved hog with the words “Pork Chop” underneath it. The MPA Hybrid Chassis is machined on MPA’s CNC Horizontal Machining Centers to exacting tolerances from 6061 aluminum. The v-bedding system provides additional clearance for glass bedding action and straight section of the barrel. This aluminum frame provides a significant amount of technology to improve the hunter’s experience. This includes the MPA RAT Rail, Adjustable Cheek Riser and Length of Pull (LOP) assembly, Enhance Vertical Grip (EVG) Grip and Thumb Notch, Inclinometer Leveling System, V4 Spigot Mount, and a special Short LOP Buttstock.

The RAT Rail, which is known in the industry as the Arca Swiss Rail, provides significant flexibility on attaching a bipod or tripod along any location of the fore-end of the chassis. Concerning tripod use, this provides the ability for the shooter to attach a tripod directly to the chassis via an Arca Swiss Clamp. This is an extremely rigid setup, much better than a traditional hog saddle or similar clamping devices. It also provides the shooter with the ability to position the bipod from the front section of the chassis on the V4 Spigot Mount to anywhere along the fore-end. For example, if you have to build a hasty, improvised modified prone position on a rock, boulder, tree stump, or another improvised surface, the ability to adjust the location of the bipod gives the hunter a ton of flexibility for an ultra-precise shot.

The Adjustable Cheek Riser and Recoil Plate assembly give the hunter the ability to fine-tune a perfect fit to his or her body type, LOP, and preferred shooting configuration. The Short LOP Buttstock comes in handy when shooting off a tripod, or when using a Night Vision Primary optic that may need a shortened eye relief for proper target acquisition. The LOP range on this buttstock is 11.75 to 13.25.” MPA can make this longer if requested during the time of order. The inclinometer leveling system will ensure the rifle is not canted when taking the shot and provides no axis errors when used properly.

MPA can fine-tune the build to the hunter or rancher’s specific application. From caliber selection, chamber dimensions, barrel length, contour, twist rate, and chassis finishing, MPA can design a rifle to meet any user’s long-range precision varmint hunting or herd management needs.

HENSOLDT UK delivers full Integrated Naval Bridge System for Royal New Zealand Navy ship HMNZS Aotearoa

Enfield, UK, 29 June 2020 – HENSOLDT UK have completed the delivery of a fully type approved Kelvin Hughes Integrated Naval Bridge System (INBS) for Polar-class logistic ship HMNZS Aotearoa. At 26,000 tons this is one of the largest ever vessel built for the Royal New Zealand Navy and was recently delivered by Hyundai Heavy Industries.

The INBS system is certified to Lloyd’s Register’s stringent INS code. It includes a dual redundant data distribution system and fully integrated Kelvin Hughes multifunction displays. The radar system takes advantage of the advanced solid state Kelvin Hughes SharpEye Doppler radars that bring full situational awareness to the bridge even in the most severe weather conditions.

The networked display system allows for operation as full multifunction workstations for improved ergonomic operation and redundancy. This means that the radar, the Warship Electronic Chart Display and Information System (WECDIS), the Bridge Alert Management System (BAMS) and other networked functions can be operated from any of the designated multifunction displays.

The SharpEye transceivers are located up mast in the carbon composite turning unit housing and bring additional benefits such as ease of installation and high reliability. The use of a direct drive motor system rather than the traditional antenna rotator gearbox also reduces maintenance.
