NSSF Hitting Airwaves to Urge “NO” Vote on David Chipman for ATF

For immediate release | July 7, 2021

NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®) is making its first-ever television commercial debut in a spot that is urging U.S. senators to oppose President Joe Biden’s nomination of David Chipman for director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

The television ad spots will appear in West Virginia and Maine.

“This is monumental for NSSF and it speaks to the importance the firearm industry places on protecting the 342,330 jobs and $63.5 billion economic impact this industry provides,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “David Chipman’s nomination is clearly a move to politicize the ATF. Voters in key states reject his nomination and those senators have been advised of those polls by NSSF. We are now taking our opposition to the public to remind their senators that Chipman’s nomination is a threat to jobs, revenue and not the least – the ability of law-abiding citizens to exercise their God-given Second Amendment rights.”

Chipman is a paid gun control lobbyist who works for Giffords gun control group and has advised antigun billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s gun control group Everytown for Gun Safety. He testified before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee that he would ban the most popular-selling semiautomatic centerfire rifle in America – the AR-15 – with over 20 million already in circulation, despite his inability to define it as what he terms an “assault weapon.” Chipman proposed to Congress that the ATF abuse its authority by punishing gun owners with a penalizing mandatory tax, registration, fingerprints and photo submission and notification of chief law enforcement officers. He also told senators that law-abiding gun owners are criminals in waiting and advocated they be arrested for “pre-crimes.”

Chipman’s hostility for gun owners is well-documented. He ridiculed the over 8.4 million first-time gun buyers in 2020, comparing them to “Tiger King” and mocked new gun owners by encouraging them to empty their guns and, “Hide it behind the cans of tuna and beef jerky that you’ve stored in the cabinet and only bring that out if the zombies start to appear.”

Chipman is unqualified and unworthy of a position of law enforcement authority.

Gunfighter Canyon Ranges Earn NSSF Five-Star Rating

For immediate release | July 7, 2021

Gun Fighter Canyon

NEWTOWN, Conn. – NSSF®, the firearm industry trade association, is pleased to announce that Gunfighter Canyon has been awarded its Five-Star rating, NSSF’s highest designation for range excellence. The Five-Star rating applies to Gunfighter Canyon’s facilities in both Page and Williams, Arizona.

“We are very impressed with the Gunfighter Canyon’s facilities and operations,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Director, Retail & Range Business Development. “We can see why their customers, especially those visiting the state and looking to have a fun, safe time with firearms, come away satisfied and with an experience to remember.”

Founded in 2017, Gunfighter Canyon is a veteran-owned and operated business. That in just several years Gunfighter Canyon has reached the pinnacle of NSSF’s range-rating ranking is a testament to the professionalism and attention to detail from management and staff.

At each location, Gunfighter Canyon attracts a diverse range of local and out-of-state customers to its combination range and firearm retailer facilities. Its business model is heavily focused on creating experiences for their patrons, especially since their facilities attract tourists visiting the Grand Canyon State from throughout the country and even internationally.

Both locations offer indoor ranges, and the Page facility, which is near tourist destinations Lake Powell and Antelope Canyon, offers special outdoor shooting adventures, including providing transportation and equipment.

Gunfighter Canyon puts out the welcome mat for everyone—from first-time shooters to seasoned gun owners. The ranges can accommodate normal handgun, rifle and shotgun shooting, of course, but the fun really begins when customers looking for a new experience opt to shoot fully automatic machine guns or, for those wanting to channel their inner cowboy or cowgirl, “Wild West” revolvers.

“Having our Page and Williams facilities recognized with Five-Star ratings by NSSF is a mark of achievement we’re very proud to receive,” said Nishan Campbell, Co-Founder and CEO. “These ratings and our recent expansions to meet customer growth mean we’re succeeding in what we set out to do four years ago— provide a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ shooting experience to a customer who might not otherwise be exposed to the 2nd Amendment rights our great country offers and employing our nation’s veteran community. We are grateful for the NSSF’s leadership in our industry and for highlighting the tireless work of our Gunfighter staff. We are honored to receive this recognition.”

Gunfighter Canyon emphasizes safety and education and offers various training classes, including private training provided by instructors certified by the NRA, USCCA and various military backgrounds. With so many first-time gun owners seeking to become better target shooters or learn more about concealed carry, Gunfighter Canyon’s training classes are popular.

The on-site gun stores in both locations offer new and used firearms, plenty of ammunition and accessories. A full-time, on-site master gunsmith can assist customers with repairs and customizations of their guns, and the “Gunfigher Laboratory” specializes in Gunfighter-branded firearms, Cerakoting, stippling and laser engraving.

For regular customers, Gunfighter Canyon offers a range of memberships so patrons can get the most value from the ranges.

Like the nearby Grand Canyon, which always gets the highest ratings in guide books, Gunfighter Canyon can boast the same recognition from NSSF’s Range Rating Program.

Westport, Conn. (July 2021)Shell Shock Technologies, LLC., an early-stage technology and manufacturing company focused on developing innovative case technologies for the ammunition industry, is pleased to announce its sponsored shooter, John Vlieger, won High Overall and First Place in the Open Division at the Doc Welt 9th Annual Memorial Match, held June 26, 2021, in Clearwater, Florida. Vlieger competed against 145 competitors to finish with 805.8760 match points and a time of 101.70.

“The Doc Welt match is held in memory of Gary “Doc” Welt, and to honor his service to our country. Physically challenging courses are the norm for this obstacle-heavy match, and I’m happy to bring home the win. Even if my physical fitness is in question, my gear is not. My competition pistol fed with Shell Shock Technologies NAS3 cases functioned flawlessly through the sand, heat, and mud. Some victories mean more than others, and this match was a shining example of one that matters,” commented Vlieger.

Vlieger has fired over 100,000 rounds of ammunition with Shell Shock Technologies’ NAS3 cases since becoming sponsored in 2017 and plans to continue using it. He can be seen competing next at the 2021 Berry’s Area 1 Championship, to be held Aug. 4, 2021, by the Paul Bunyan Rifle & Sportsmen’s Club in Puyallup, Washington.

About Shell Shock Technologies NAS3 Cases:

NAS3 9mm cases are 50 percent lighter than brass cases, offer greater lubricity and will not abrade, clog, foul, wear-out, or damage breach and ejector mechanisms. The cases offer greater corrosion resistance, tensile strength (2x stronger) and elasticity than brass. NAS3 cases will not split, chip, crack or grow (stretch) and are fully reloadable (using S3 Reload dies) and can be reloaded many more times than brass cases. NAS3 cases have been tested successfully by customers to pressures over 70k psi. NAS3 cases can be picked up with a magnet. The head can be colored for branding purposes and easy load identification.

NAS3 is “Best in Class” for maintaining consistent velocity between rounds. In an independent test performed by H.P. White Laboratory (a major munitions testing facility), rounds fired using NAS3 cases achieved a velocity standard deviation of 0.093 FPS (124-grain FMJ bullet, 4.2 grains Titegroup powder, 10 rounds, extreme variation 3fps).

Bond Arms’ Backup – An Ultra-Compact, Feature-filled Personal Defense Pistol

Granbury, TX (July 6, 2021) – Bond Arms builds the smallest, most powerful personal protection pistols in the firearms industry. The Texas gun maker loaded the Backup, its powerful yet ultra-compact derringer, with concealability and personal defense features that have quickly made it one of the company’s best-selling models.

There are many reasons why the Backup is the perfect choice for a secondary weapon. The Backup weighs only 19-ounces and is a mere 4.5-inches long—ideal for all-day carrying comfort. Its 2.5-inch barrels shortens the overall length for ultra-concealability.

Bond Arms listened to their customers’ request for a concealed carry gun that doesn’t draw attention. To accomplish this, they first bead-blasted all exposed stainless parts, including the barrels, trigger, trigger guard, and hammer, creating a discrete matte finish. Next, they added a black crinkle powder coating on the frame, further muting the pistol’s appearance. Bond installed an upgraded black rubber grip that matches the frame, improves control, and indexes the gun perfectly in the shooter’s palm. Finally, Bond Arms topped the pistol with a durable and reliable front blade and a fixed rear sight for rapid target acquisition.

The Backup is chambered for one of two popular cartridges—9mm and .45ACP—offering ammo compatibility between a primary weapon and the Backup; both cartridges have the stopping power necessary to neutralize a threat.

Like the other Bond Arms’ models, the Backup is compatible with dozens of Bond Arms’ optional barrels in different lengths and cartridges, so customers looking for a longer barrel or different cartridges, including the powerful .410 bore, can easily and quickly swap barrels. Adding a longer barrel transforms the Backup into a viable primary personal defense weapon.

Bond Arms pioneered the modern double barrel handgun, and the Backup inherits the enhanced safety elements incorporated into all Bond Arms’ derringer models. Features like a patented rebounding and locking hammer, trigger guard, retracting firing pins, and cross-bolt safety. In addition, the Backup features a one-handed operation, the key to a fast, reliable double-barrel handgun.

Since its inception, the Bond Arm’s Backup has received much interest from customers looking for a secondary concealed carry gun. It’s the critical backup that’s ready when you need it!

Bond Arms Backup Features:

  • · Stainless steel double-barrel and frame
  • · Compatible with all standard Bond Arms barrels
  • · Patented rebounding hammer

BOND ARMS, INC. is located in Granbury, Texas and manufactures the award-winning Bond Arms Derringer – the finest in double barrel protection. Originally organized under the name Texas Armory, the company became incorporated as Bond Arms in 1995 with the idea that the Remington Model 95 over-under, single-action derringer could be converted from an Old West anachronism into a modern & reliable handgun. The barrel and frame were redesigned to safely fire modern calibers & the entire handgun is constructed entirely from stainless steel. This makes for a pistol that’s both strong and durable.

FAA Levies $119K Against 9 Passengers for Alleged Unruly Behavior

FAA logo

Date: July 6, 2021

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) released a new public service announcement and levied $119,000 in civil penalties against passengers for alleged violations of federal regulations as part of its Zero Tolerance efforts against unruly behavior.
As part of the FAA’s Zero Tolerance campaign, the
web video features children explaining how to behave on a plane and expressing their disgust about increased unruly passenger behavior.

Today’s cases propose civil penalties against nine passengers ranging from $7,500 to $21,500 for allegedly interfering with flight attendants who instructed passengers to obey cabin crew instructions and various federal regulations. The cases involve assaulting the flight crew and other passengers, drinking alcohol brought aboard the plane and refusing to wear facemasks.
Since Jan. 1, 2021, the FAA has received approximately 3,271 reports of unruly behavior by passengers, including about 2,475 reports of passengers refusing to comply with the federal facemask mandate. We have identified potential violations in 540 cases and have initiated enforcement action in 83 cases. During the same timeframe, the FAA has proposed more than $682,000 in fines against unruly passengers, including today’s cases.

The cases are as follows:

$21,500 against a passenger on a Dec. 27, 2020, Frontier Airlines flight from Nashville, Tenn., to Orlando, Fla. The FAA alleges the passenger drank alcohol that Frontier did not serve, which is against FAA regulations. He refused to comply with a flight attendant’s instruction to stop drinking the alcohol and wear a facemask. The FAA further alleges the passenger began fighting with the flight attendant and nearby passengers about the facemask policy. The flight attendant issued the passenger a “red card” for failing to comply with the facemask instructions, but he continued to argue with nearby passengers, ultimately striking the passenger next to him on the head. The flight attendant reseated him in another row, notified the captain of the disturbance, and requested law enforcement to meet him at the gate upon arrival.
$18,500 against a passenger on a Feb. 19, 2021, Republic Airlines flight from Indianapolis, Ind., to Philadelphia, Penn. The FAA alleges that flight attendants repeatedly told the passenger to wear her facemask properly prior to boarding and during the boarding process. The passenger and members of her travel party were also playing loud, obscene music and refusing to wear their masks during the preflight safety announcements. During a flight attendant’s cabin check, she instructed the passenger to wear her seatbelt and facemask. During taxi from the gate, the passenger threatened the passenger in front of her when they closed the window shade. A flight attendant again instructed the party to settle down and wear their facemasks, but they did not comply. They continued to play loud, obscene music and use obscene language against the flight attendants and other passengers. The crew notified the captain, and the plane returned to the gate for law enforcement to meet the passenger. When the captain left the cockpit to notify the passenger that she was being removed from the flight, she began to argue and use obscene language with the captain. As she stood up to leave the aircraft, she punched the female passenger who was seated in front of her, holding a small infant, in the back of the head.
$17,000 against a passenger on a Jan. 25, 2021, Frontier Airlines flight from St. Louis, Mo., to Las Vegas, Nev. The FAA alleges the passenger refused to wear his facemask during the boarding process despite direct instruction from flight attendants to do so. Furthermore, the flight attendant had to pause the preflight safety demonstration twice to tell him to hang up his phone, put it on airplane mode, and wear his mask. During the flight, a flight attendant instructed him a second time to wear his mask. During the final descent, the passenger unbuckled his seatbelt, stood up, and moved to a different seat closer to the front of the aircraft. He ignored crew instructions that it was unsafe to be unbuckled and move about the cabin at that time.
$13,000 against a passenger on a Jan. 29, 2021, Frontier Airlines flight from San Diego, Calif., to Las Vegas, Nev. The FAA alleges the passenger repeatedly removed her facemask and ignored crew instruction to wear it properly. The FAA further alleges that the passenger drank alcohol that Frontier didn’t serve, which is against FAA regulation.
$10,500 against a passenger on a Feb. 27, 2021, Allegiant Air flight from Provo, Utah, to Mesa, Ariz. The FAA alleges the passenger refused to wear his facemask over his mouth and nose throughout the flight. Flight attendants instructed him seven separate times to wear his facemask properly, and each time he moved it off of his nose after the flight attendant walked away. When told that he needed to cooperate and provide information to fill out a passenger disturbance report, he argued with the flight attendant, refused to provide his identification, said he would continue to pull his facemask down, and claimed that it was fine just over his mouth. After the plane landed, he approached a flight attendant from behind as she prepared to open the cabin door and touched her. He stated that she was being aggressive about the facemask policy and got very close to her while complaining about her enforcement of the policy. This behavior intimidated the flight attendant and caused her to cry.
$10,500 against a passenger on a Jan. 23, 2021, Alaska Airlines flight from Seattle, Wash., to Ketchikan, Alaska. The FAA alleges that as the flight was preparing to depart from the gate, the passenger made a 911 call reporting that the aircraft was being hijacked. He told the 911 dispatcher that a man was holding up a flight attendant at knifepoint near the front of the aircraft and repeatedly asked the dispatcher to stop the flight. While the aircraft was taxiing to the runway, he left his seat twice to enter the lavatory despite flight attendant instructions to stay seated. Due to the 911 calls, the pilots taxied the aircraft to a cargo ramp where law enforcement met the flight. Law enforcement boarded the aircraft armed with rifles and evacuated passengers and crew. While at the cargo ramp, the passenger called the FBI and made mention of a bomb. The aircraft was temporarily taken out of service for bomb screening.  Law enforcement also screened all passengers and crew as a result of the passenger’s comments. All of the passenger’s claims were false and resulted in a multi-hour delay of the flight.
$10,500 against a passenger on a Dec. 19, 2020, Allegiant Air flight from Syracuse, N.Y., to Punta Gorda, Fla. The FAA alleges that while the fasten-seatbelt sign was on during a period of moderate turbulence, the passenger got out of his seat to use the lavatory. When flight attendants told him it was unsafe to do so, he argued that he was drinking at the airport for five hours prior to the flight. Flight attendants allowed him to use the lavatory, but upon exiting, he nearly fell on the flight attendants three times and argued with them about being allowed out of his seat. He was not wearing his facemask, and flight attendants reminded him to wear it several times. After flight attendants got him in his seat, he began vaping despite flight attendant instructions to stop. Throughout the rest of the flight he continued to vape, not wear his facemask, and get out of his seat. The captain called for law enforcement to meet the passenger at the gate.
$10,000 against a passenger on a Feb. 19, 2021, Republic Airlines flight from Indianapolis, Ind., to Philadelphia, Penn. The FAA alleges that during the boarding process, flight attendants twice asked the passenger to wear her facemask. The FAA further alleges that the passenger and her party refused to wear their facemasks, played loud music, and spoke loudly during the safety announcements. During the cabin check, a flight attendant asked her to buckle her seatbelt and wear her facemask, but she did not comply. The passenger continued to play loud, obscene music and used obscene language about the flight attendants and other passengers. Flight attendants notified the captain, who returned the flight to the gate, where law enforcement met the passenger. When the captain told the passenger that she and her party would be removed from the aircraft, she began arguing with the captain and used obscene language. This passenger was a member of the party mentioned in the second case listed in this release.
$7,500 against a passenger on a Feb. 25 2021, Southwest Airlines flight from Denver, Colo., to Los Angeles, Calif. The FAA alleges that upon boarding, flight attendants instructed the passenger twice to wear his facemask properly. He moved it below his nose and mouth both times. A Southwest Airlines customer service supervisor boarded the aircraft to speak with him about his non-compliance and provided him a facemask that would fit properly after he told flight attendants that his mask was broken. As the supervisor left, he again pulled his facemask below his nose and mouth. The supervisor returned and asked him to get off the aircraft, but the passenger refused. As a result, the airline had every passenger deplane. The non-compliant passenger was not allowed to reboard. His actions caused the flight to be delayed by 38 minutes.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) reminded the traveling public on May 14 that if you travel, you are still required to wear a mask on planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation traveling into, within, or out of the United States. Masks are also required in U.S. transportation hubs such as airports and stations.
Federal law prohibits interfering with aircraft crew or physically assaulting or threatening to physically assault aircraft crew or anyone else on an aircraft. Passengers are subject to civil penalties for such misconduct, which can threaten the safety of the flight by disrupting or distracting cabin crew from their safety duties. Additionally, federal law provides for criminal fines and imprisonment of passengers who interfere with the performance of a crewmember’s duties by assaulting or intimidating that crewmember.
The FAA is strictly enforcing a
zero-tolerance policy toward passengers who cause disturbances on flights, fail to obey flight crew instructions in violation of the FAA’s regulations, or engage in conduct proscribed by federal law.
The passengers have 30 days after receiving the FAA’s enforcement letter to respond to the agency. The FAA does not identify individuals against whom it proposes civil penalties.

Escort Shotgun’s Hard-Hitting SDX

Bentonville, AR (July 6, 2021) – The Escort SD-X is part of Hatsan’s Versatile Tactical Shotgun series.  Available in either 12 ga or .410 cal, this modern sporting shotgun is offered in all black or FDE Cerakote.  A new gas piston design is mounted around the barrel itself, eliminating the secondary tube that is typically mounted below the barrel of a semi-automatic shotgun.  This reduces the weight and bulk of the gun while minimizing felt recoil and muzzle rise. The synthetic polymer lower receiver features an alloy magazine well that ensures a smooth, durable product designed to last.  Hatsan’s patented ThermoDefend forend absorbs and dissipates heat from the barrel while offering a comfortable, controlled grip on the weapon.

An active buffer tube absorbs recoil and sports a removable buttstock with elevation-adjustable cheek rest.  The soft rubber ergonomic pistol grip is also removable and can be replaced with a wide variety of already available aftermarket options.  The cocking bolt is reversible to suit a wide variety of shooter preferences. A carry-handle rear sight and fixed front sight come equipped on each gun, but the included flip-up sights can be installed for use with mounted optics.  The forend also features 4 Picatinny rail locations to accommodate multiple accessory mounting options.

The 12-gauge models feature an 18″ barrel with removable chokes, including an extended cylinder bore choke brake that helps tame recoil with heavy shot or slugs.  Standard Full and Improved Cylinder chokes are also included, with other options available from HatsanUSA. Each gun ships with two 5-round magazines, and a 2-round magazine that can be stored in the buttstock.  The gun is chambered to accept both 2 ¾” and 3″ shells and will cycle them interchangeably with no external adjustments required by the shooter.

The .410 models feature a 20″ barrel with an integrated choke suitable for both shot and slugs.  Offering the same recoil-absorbing characteristics as the larger caliber models, this shotgun is extremely smooth.  Also shipping with two 5-round magazines, this gun features a spare 3-round magazine stored in the buttstock. The gas piston operates in the same manner, cycling both standard and magnum loads reliably.

As with all Escort shotguns, the barrels are proof tested at the factory to ensure quality and durability.  The hard chrome and/or Cerakote coatings are built to withstand the harshest conditions and look good while doing it. HatsanUSA offers a 5-year limited warranty with all Escort firearms.

NSSF to Challenge New York Public Nuisance Lawsuit Law

This law would allow civil lawsuits by municipalities against the firearm industry for the criminal actions by non-associated third parties.

NSSF to Challenge New York Public Nuisance Lawsuit Law

NEWTOWN, Conn. – The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®) will challenge to overturn the law signed by New York Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo that would allow civil lawsuits by municipalities against the firearm industry for the criminal actions by non-associated third parties.

The law is in contravention to federal law, the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), and the legal foundations of tort law.

“This law is unconstitutional, plain and simple. It is abhorrent that Governor Cuomo is rehashing a decades-old failed playbook that was rejected by courts in the 1990’s and early 2000’s,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “Governor Cuomo is, again, blameshifting for his administration’s failures to prevent crime by pointing fingers at firearm manufacturers that have been working with federal, state and local authorities for real solutions.® This law is based on the same legal understanding that would allow victims of drunk drivers to sue Ford and Budweiser for the criminal actions of an individual. This law is not legal accountability. It is political posturing.”

Gov. Cuomo signed the law after repeating the same debunked talking points churned out by President Joe Biden. Gov. Cuomo claimed the firearm industry is the only industry immune to lawsuits. That worn-out myth was discredited by The Washington Post and Fact Check.org. Politifact called them “False” in 2015 when failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton attempted to pass along the debunked information.

Gov. Cuomo knows this history and the record of courts dismissing these lawsuits before PLCAA was passed with a broad bipartisan consensus in 2005. Gov. Cuomo, when serving as President Bill Clinton’s Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, got involved when he organized dozens of local housing authorities to bring their own lawsuits against gunmakers and threatened the industry with “death by a thousand cuts.”

This was his admission these lawsuits lacked legal foundation and amounted to harassment through litigation.

Legal Professor Victor Schwartz, who literally wrote the textbook on tort law, former law professor and law school dean and the current co-chairman of the Public Policy Group of the law firm Shook, Hardy & Bacon, recently authored an op-ed setting the record straight on PLCAA. He wrote, “The PLCAA remains a commonsense law that protects against unsound attempts to change radically a fundamental liability law principle.”

Jonathan Turley, the Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at George Washington University, wrote in The Hill of the PLCAA, “The bill saved the industry some litigation costs, but the industry would have prevailed in such actions anyway if they were tried. Product liability and tort actions against manufacturers have uniformly and correctly been rejected by the courts.”

To learn more of the history of PLCAA, what the law does and doesn’t do and other industries with similar protections, read NSSF’s Primer on Repealing PLCAA.

ODU launches new connector series

ODU AMC® Series T – three locking options in one connector for additional security

The “T” stands for 3-in-1 or the “Triple”. Three locking options fit on one connector or receptacle part: Push-Pull, Break-Away or Screw Lock. Additional security is provided by the built-in trapezoidal threaded locking.

The new ODU AMC® Series T connector is even more rugged, sealed, proven reliable and offers unlimited possibilities. Following the motto everything is possible, the customer chooses locking type, cable connection, size, insert and number of contacts.

Its strengths:

· high vibration resistance

· waterproof according to MIL standard 810

· Sealed mechanical area, thus completely protected against Water, dirt and dust

· Easy to handle and install

· Suitable for MIL backshell and MIL crimp contacts

The ODU AMC® Series T connectors are available in two sizes and are compatible with standard backshells.

The ODU AMC® Series T is suitable for use in military, security and communications applications. The connectors are field terminable. Thus they are time saving. Even the individual contacts can be replaced or repaired in the field. It couldn’t be simpler for the operators. In addition this connector offers protection against water, dirt and dust.

The new connector system is also suitable for civilian applications. Where “raw and rough forces” prevail, the ODU AMC® Series T is used. Heavy construction machinery and agricultural vehicles are also exposed to high impacts. Vehicle and machine operators work in the field, in the forest, off-road, and encounter situations where they have to reconnect or repair or adjust the connector. This is exactly the situation that requires reliable, durable material that is easy to handle. Vibration resistant, waterproof, with easy handling, both in repair and assembly.

The characteristics at a glance:

  • · high performance under vibration
  • · waterproof according to MIL standard 810
  • · high flexibility: 1 receptacle, 3 locking options
  • · based on the MIL 38999 standard
  • · crimp contacts according to MIL standard
  • · reverse gender
  • · high temperature range: -65°C up to +175°C
  • highly robust
  • · sealed locking area
  • · isolated mechanical area and one piece housing
  • · backshell opportunity
  • · smaller than competitive 38999 products
  • · optimized assembly process – quick & easy

Special Operations technology in the Maritime environment

20210704_152538

THE ADVANCED MARITIME TECHNOLOGIES

CALLED UPON BY GLOBAL SPECIAL OPERATIONS FORCES

Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIBs) are the platform of choice for Special Operations Forces (SOF) seeking to undertake an extensive list of mission sets in riverine, littoral and blue water environments. RHIBs are used to support the rapid insertion and extraction of small unit teams during maritime counter-terrorism, anti/counter-piracy and counter-narcotics operations around the World. To accomplish these tasks successfully, RHIBs require increasingly capable and integrated mission suites including various elements of command, control, communications, intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance and key sensor payloads.

L3Harris’ WESCAM MX™-10MS Electro-Optical and infrared (EO/IR) sensor can quickly be integrated and operated on board RHIBs in any operational environment and is optimized to support the rising operational requirements of maritime SOF units. The WESCAM MX-10MS is ideal for use during undercover special operations, including special reconnaissance and offensive action. Examples include; covert surveillance ahead of beach landings or the identification of enemy positions ahead of a larger, conventional amphibious attack; as well as Combat Search and Rescue missions where sensor payloads on board RHIBs can be used to scan long distances for debris and survivors.

L3Harris’ maritime sensors have been the ‘eyes’ of maritime vessels for over 45 years and remain ideally positioned to support Special Operations Forces across the future operating environment.

BECOME A HUNTING MENTOR THIS YEAR AND CHANGE SOMEONE’S LIFE

BECOME A HUNTING MENTOR THIS YEAR AND CHANGE SOMEONE’S LIFE
Easier to teach. Easier to learn. Easier to hunt.
Here’s a simpler way for hunting mentors and mentees to connect.

BARNEVELD, Wis. – Imagine you never started hunting … All those early mornings. All those moments you thought your heart would pound right out of your chest. Many people never get the chance to experience the woods waking up around them, or to cook their family meat they brought home from the field.
But you can help them discover hunting, and our friends at
Identical Draw are here to help: Introducing newhunter.org, a simpler way for hunting mentors and mentees to connect.

BECOME A MENTOR

Hang out your “Welcome Sign”
According to the team at Identical Draw, one of the most important ways hunters can become mentors is simply letting friends and family know they are open to mentoring, using resources like their Instagram bios and social media.
But for many people interested in hunting, the process of connecting with a mentor is far more challenging, and that’s what newhunter.org is trying to address. But before jumping in, it pays to get a little practice. “Just like hunting, mentors need experience to become more skilled and knowledgeable,” the Identical Draw team said, “Knowing what to say, how to react, and being there for a new hunter are all things that need to be learned.”
Share your hunting passion
Once you feel like you’re ready to mentor,
newhunter.org is the place to start. Offering new hunters the perfect way to ask questions, learn, and get into the field, the site is built to help make the connections that get new hunters going. The Identical Draw team said, “Here, new hunters and seasoned hunters can connect and join each other on a hunt. This is a free platform with the full intent of getting more new hunters outdoors, and reconnecting families with their hunting heritage.”
If you’re interested in becoming a hunting mentor, check out
this blog from Identical Draw to get started, then go to newhunter.org to connect with someone who needs your help to start hunting.

More practical than fireworks though less filling than BBQ and burgers, safe fun with firearms is one of the best ways any American can celebrate our unique nation’s unprecedented level of gun ownership. And there’s no better way to accurately and easily control your shooting than with Swagger bipods.

Now that ammunition is not quite as scarce as it has been, shooters don’t have to feel wasteful when they hit the range for a target shooting session with two uniquely American designs–an MSR or AR-style rifle and a Swagger Tactical Bipod. Both the SEA-12 and SFR-10 QD bipods work well for tactical use and hunting and can be easily mounted on a Picatinny rail.

The Swagger SEA12 (Extreme Angle) Bipod has overmolded flex joints which help stabilize its swagger, making it easy to stay on target. Its most effective range of adjustment is 9 to 12 inches and can even go lower by pivoting the legs forward up to 45 degrees. An extremely wide range of can and traverse makes the Swagger SEA12 perfect when you need to swing your rifle far and wide to engage targets. Click here to learn more about the new SEA12.

The Swagger SFR10 QD (Flex to Rigid, Quick Detach) Bipod provides shooters with the ability to adjust the level of “Swagger flex” – or eliminate it when you need a traditional rigid-leg bipod platform. With the most effective adjustment range of 6 to 10.5 inches, this bipod lets you go lower with the same style of adjustment found on the SEA12, allowing you to pivot the legs forward up to 45 degrees. Click here to learn more about the new SFR10 QD.

Celebrating liberty with firearms is as American as apple pie, if not more so. Swagger bipods wishes all Americans a happy Independence Day and asks them to remember the Swagger Limited Lifetime Guarantee when they go shopping for a new bipod.

SLx MD-25 ACSS accepts Industry Choice Award

Primary Arms Optics

PRIMARY ARMS SLx® MD-25 ACSS® NAMED ‘RED DOT OPTIC OF THE YEAR’ IN 2021 INDUSTRY CHOICE AWARDS

HOUSTON, TEXAS – At the 2021 Industry Choice Awards, Primary Arms Optics won this year’s ‘Red Dot Optic of the Year’ Award with their new SLx® MD-25 ACSS® Red Dot Sight.
The annual Industry Choice Awards bring together dozens of independent evaluators from all corners of the firearms industry, including competition shooters, Law Enforcement, Military, Gunsmiths, range owners, manufacturers, and other firearms product enthusiasts. Together, they provide unbiased evaluation for a wide variety of categories, and in this year’s optics evaluation, Primary Arms Optics took the award for ‘Red Dot Optic of the Year’ with their SLx MD-25 ACSS.
The MD-25 is part of Primary Arms Optics’ SLx line, which built their reputation for innovation, reliability and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve the user in any environment. Functionally, the SLx MD-25 Microdot sight blends the low-profile design of a microdot with and larger 25mm objective window. With a wider aperture, users can see more of their target’s surroundings, eliminating the housing obstruction of similar red dots. Combined with an ultra-bright emitter, the MD-25 makes it easy to get on target, even in bright sunlight.
This year, Primary Arms Optics released a new version of the MD-25 that features the ACSS CQB reticle. The ACSS CQB reticle features a large outer horseshoe, an infinitely-precise center chevron, and 3 holdover dots that act as ballistic holdovers for popular calibers like 5.56×45, 5.45×39, 6.8 SPC, .308 Winchester, and many more. In close quarters, the outer horseshoe provides quick target acquisition for rapid engagement, while the infinitely precise chevron gives a clear point of aim at zero. The ACSS CQB reticle is a perfect pair with the naturally agile SLx MD-25, earning it the top spot in this year’s Industry Choice Awards.

“We are proud that our MD-25 Red Dot with ACSS CQB reticle received this prestigious award,” says Marshall Lerner, CEO of Primary Arms. “The recognition it has received validates the time invested in engineering design, testing, and focus given to every detail. From the robust mounting system to the advanced ACSS reticle, our goal was performance and value, a combination that has become synonymous with all our SLx optics.”

Bushnell® Releases New Prime 1800 Laser Rangefinder

New LRF Serves as Milestone in Bushnell’s History of Laser Rangefinder Development

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – June 30, 2021 – Bushnell®, an industry leader in performance optics, has announced the introduction of the newest addition to its laser rangefinder lineup – the Prime 1800. Packed with added features such as Bushnell’s all-new ACTIVSYNC™ display system that fluidly morphs from black to red readouts based on lighting conditions, the Prime 1800 builds on the success of Bushnell’s 25-year legacy of laser rangefinder development.

With its all-glass, fully multi-coated optical path and extra-large laser aperture window, the Prime 1800 boasts double the light transmission over other competitive models. The Prime 1800 has also been designed for all day viewing capability made possible by the new ACTIVSYNC display. This intuitive display feature fluidly morphs automatically from black in the daylight to red in low-light conditions so users can always see their readings, whether at sunrise, midday, or dusk. The display can even show red and black simultaneously if the environment requires it.

“In order to fully leverage the excellent 2x brightness from our laser rangefinders, we knew adding an illuminated display would give users the ability to use it throughout the entire legal hunt time,” said Derek Osburn, Director of Optics for Vista Outdoor. “However, we also knew that we wanted to go further and apply our 25-year history of laser rangefinder innovation to this feature and have done so with the new ActivSync display. This intuitive design gives you a red or black display exactly when you need it, making it even easier to get an exact distance quickly and accurately.”

The new Prime 1800 offers effective ranging capabilities out to 1,800-yard on a reflective target and can reliably range trees out to 1,000 yards or deer out to 700 yards with +/- one-yard accuracy. The Prime 1800 comes equipped with Scan mode for fast ranging, as well as near/far target modes to allow users to home in on targets while ignoring objects in the foreground and background. The rangefinder also comes equipped with ARC (Angle Range Compensation) technology for angle readings in the field.

The Prime 1800 rangefinder includes a built-in tripod mount and lanyard holes, giving users multiple setup options to keep the rangefinder secure and stable. A threaded metal battery door can be found on the bottom of the rangefinder and a CR2 battery is included so the Prime 1800 is ready right out of the box.

Backed by Bushnell’s 5-year Lifetime Ironclad warranty, the Prime 1800 rangefinder is engineered and manufactured to withstand the ultimate test of years of use in the field. The Prime 1800 carries an MSRP of $249.99 and is available now.

Pro Tip: Ballistic App and Suppressed Rifles

Gainesville, GA (July 1, 2021) Suppressors are great tools for serious shooters, especially long-distance competitors and hunters. Quality suppressors reduce muzzle blasts to safe hearing levels without hearing protection, making communication between shooters more efficient. In most cases, a suppressor will even lessen the felt recoil of a rifle. However, shooters need to make specific allowances for suppressed firearms.

“A suppressor can change your rifle’s point of impact,” said Curt Vaughn, veteran long-distance shooting competitor and Head of Product for Ballistic. “If you shoot with your suppressor on all the time, you should be fine. However, if you have it on and off, you will, in most cases, see a shift in impact from zero when going from an unsuppressed to a suppressed rifle.”

When possible, Vaughn advised, always keep the suppressor attached to your rifle. However, if you do have to remove it for certain shots, make sure you know the point of impact shift which will result, and hold over and/or to the side accordingly.

One question that frequently comes up: how might a suppressor affect your bullet’s velocity? Interestingly, a recent study looked at this question and found that a suppressor can alter your load’s feet per second (fps) velocity. And here, Ballistic can aid the long-distance shooter.

The study, “Effects of Sound Suppressors on Muzzle Velocity, Bullet Yaw, and Drag,”

https://arxiv.org/ftp/arxiv/papers/1802/1802.05748.pdf was written by four researchers based on tests they conducted at the Fusilier Complex, a private shooting range in Lafayette, Louisiana. Using rifles chambered in .300 Win Mag, the researchers shot four different factory ammunition loads; three of the loads were fired through rifles equipped with different models of suppressors, while the fourth load was shot unsuppressed.

Among other variables, muzzle velocities were recorded for each load. Compared to the rifles and loads with no suppression, many suppressed loads showed a slight decrease in fps, from 10- to 30-fps slower. However, depending on the ammunition used, some of the suppressed loads produced muzzle velocities 10- to 20-fps above non-suppressed loads. Will plus or minus 10- to 30-fps affect your accuracy? Not if you are shooting at steel or a big bull elk a couple of hundred yards away.

But once you go long, like 1,000 yards or more, a difference of 30-fps can and will change important variables including bullet drop and the point at which the bullet goes from super- to sub-sonic, Vaughn noted.

The only way to know the effect of your suppressor on your bullet’s velocity is to chronograph your loads with your rifle’s suppressor attached and with it off. If the velocities are the same? Your current Ballistic profile for that round is good to go. But if there’s a variation, you will want to develop a new Ballistic profile and have both profiles ready in your iPhone, iPad or laptop. Name one, “6.5 CM-UNSUPP,” for example, the other “6.5CM-Suppressed.”

This way, you will be ready for that precision shot with or without your suppressor attached.

Ballistic is the definitive ballistics trajectory calculator, intended for long-range and precision shooters who want a serious–and a seriously accurate–application. Ballistic will calculate your bullet’s trajectory, windage, velocity, energy, lead, and flight time for any valid range. The app can also compensate for atmospheric conditions such as temperature, barometric pressure, humidity, and altitude–it can even accept density of air or density altitude inputs! The world-renowned JBM Ballistics engine powers all Ballistic computations. Ballistic is used by competition shooters, long-range hunters, and the military to deliver the most precise calculations possible.

With Ballistic, you’ll be able to make the most accurate calculations for every shot, everywhere, even in areas with no cellular coverage.

Bond Arms’ Grizzly, A Fierce Firearm with a Friendly Price

Granbury, TX (July 1, 2021) – Armed with powerful claws and jaws, grizzlies are fearsome adversaries in the wild. Their Latin name, Ursus arctos horribilis, suits this powerful apex predator. Like its namesake, the Grizzly pistol is formidable, a good reason to bear arms. This single-action double-barrel pistol chambers the most powerful cartridges in Bond Arm’s Rough Series. The Grizzly inherits the premium features found on all Bond Arms, including stainless-steel barrels and frame, cross-bolt safety, retracting firing pins, spring-loaded cam-lock lever and rebounding hammer. Many expect to pay top dollar for these premium features, but Bond Arms found a way to keep its Rough Series production costs low, passing the savings on to its customers.

The Grizzly’s 3-inch barrels, with blade front sight and fixed rear sight, is chambered in .45 long colt and 2½-inch .410 bore shotshells—two potent handgun cartridges for personal defense. The Grizzly frame is compatible with all standard Bond Arms’ barrels, adding dozens of custom cartridge and barrel length combinations.

The Grizzly, Rowdy and Roughneck models form the Bond Arms’ Rough Series, a family of quality yet value-priced pistols. How do they get the prices down so low on these firearms? Each handgun uses the same stainless-steel materials and quality control standards seen in all their guns, reducing the time spent polishing and hand-finishing lowers the price. Rough Series pistols undergo a minimal cleanup and deburring, ensuring there are no sharp edges. A bead-blasted finish replaces the polished finish found on the higher-priced models. Parting lines in the metal frame and trigger guard or swirly tool marks on the barrel may be visible. Sanding and polishing the frame removes tiny casting imperfections and rough areas, but with a rough finish, these unique marks are visible, giving each pistol its own unique “character.”

Vibrant rosewood grips engraved with grizzly bear artwork dress up this distinctive derringer, and a Bond Arms logo and a checkered panel add texture to the extended grip. The pistol includes a matching leather holster embossed with a grizzly bear.

  • Grizzly Features:
  • · Stainless steel double-barrel and frame
  • · Compatible with all standard Bond Arms barrels
  • · Patented rebounding hammer
  • · Retracting firing pins
  • · Cross-bolt safety
  • · Spring-loaded, cammed locking lever
  • · Leather holster included
  • · MSRP $377
  • Grizzly Specifications:
  • · Barrel: 3-inches
  • · Overall Length: 5-inches
  • · Weight: 20 Ounces
  • · Barrel and Frame material: Stainless Steel
  • · Cartridge: .45LC / .410 bore
  • · Finish: Bead-blasted

BOND ARMS, INC. is located in Granbury, Texas and manufactures the award-winning Bond Arms Derringer – the finest in double barrel protection. Originally organized under the name Texas Armory, the company became incorporated as Bond Arms in 1995 with the idea that the Remington Model 95 over-under, single-action derringer could be converted from an Old West anachronism into a modern & reliable handgun. The barrel and frame were redesigned to safely fire modern calibers & the entire handgun is constructed entirely from stainless steel. This makes for a pistol that’s both strong and durable.

It Was Not High Waters from Climate Change

Graphic showing the order of collapse of the building
A week ago today at approximately 01:30 the Champlain Towers of Surfside, Florida collapsed. As of this writing, the cause is unknow and will not be fully understood for quite some time; however,18 cadavers have been recovered and authorities estimate that 147 people are still missing. Calling a tragedy is an understatement and rescue workers face increasing peril. To their credit, they’ve shown exceptional courage and dedication, which is the reason why it pisses me off when I hear an individual suffering from crania-vaginal inversion suggest to America’s audience that rising waters from climate change could be the cause of that collapse. I am familiar with the area and at it’s highest point, Surfside is 3 feet (1m) above sea level; a handful of fat tourists wading in the ocean is enough to flood Collins Ave.
Although, this opportunist imbecile pissed me off, I refuse to see a therapist. Why the hell would I pay $150 per hour to a jackass who majored in psychology so they could understand themselves, scheduling a good shoot the shit is far better. I’m so confident of that statement that I would recommend it to Mayor Charles Burkett. Mayor, schedule a shoot the shit for families and next of kin.
What is a shoot the shit? It’s a social interaction during which any subject can be discussed, participants need not know anything about the subject and are free to make unsupported statements, use uncensored profanity, insult anyone they wish or change the subject altogether. Mayor bring some food in for them and let them go at it. If you turn a psychologist loose on these poor folks they’re liable to come out with a desire to undergo a sex change, or feeling that they’re suffering from a short penis complex. So, let’s shoot the shit about climate change.
This week, I’d like to show you how our approach to climate change is the textbook definition of legislation by anal extraction. So, let’s get started.

  1. We have a government that is actively curtailing fossil fuel production before alternative sources are implemented – that’s anal extraction.
  2. We have a government that is driving taking down coal and gas energy production that’s currently powering the grid 24×7 with solar and wind sources that are lower output, and in the case of solar useless for at least 12 hours of the day – that’s anal extraction.
  3. We live on a planet that is only 25%-30% land mass of that 33% is habitable and roughly 50% of that 33% is used for agricultural purposes. Rather than moving to nuclear power our government wants solar panels. A nuclear power plant occupies roughly 1.86 square miles and that includes employee parking, a solar panel farm to match the output of a nuclear power plant requires about 180 square miles, wind farms about 80 square miles – that’s anal extraction.
  4. Our government wants to ban all fossil fuel vehicles by 2030. You’ll be driving electric cars equipped with Chinese made lithium ion batteries, so if you want to take the kids to the Grand Canyon you’ll need charging stations every 300 miles or so. Furthermore, you and your family will be traveling on a potential bomb. I have a short video that shows you how lithium batteries react in water. Lithium is highly reactive and generates hydrogen in the process, which in concentrations of 4% or higher is explosive. Watch the video – this is anal extraction.
All of these steps are being blindly implemented, There is no structured plan or any indication of a clear understanding of the issues but more importantly there is a childlike disregard for the consequences. Have you heard any discussion from our government about DAC (Direct Air Capture). I’ll get you dialed in.
Direct Air Capture is a CO2 capture technology that “scrubs” CO2 from the atmosphere. Without getting into the chemistry, think of it as a tree, which as you know captures CO2 via photosynthesis . The difference is that a 1 million ton per year DAC facility has the same effect as 40 million trees. Why isn’t that being discussed and aggressively funded. If you want to gain a good understanding of DAC visit 1PointFive’s web site, they do a great job of presenting the technology with a non-technical treatise, My guess is that our government is clueless and operating with a mindset that says “my mind is made up don’t confuse me with facts.”
Have a great weekend, be safe and for God’s sake schedule a shoot the shit with your buds and or family.

ECA GROUP upgrades its drone IT180 for Special Forces applications

ECA GROUP provides special forces with Over-the-Hill reconnaissance capabilities, day and night, by integrating the Controp EO/IR camera on its IT180 UAV.
The
IT180 UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) as part of ECA GROUP’s unmanned systems range, is a long-endurance Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aerial drone. The IT180 is renowned for its discretion, robustness and long endurance. Coupled with the exceptional optical performance of the new generation hi-performance Controp camera, this combined solution is ideally suited to the challenging demands of special forces for long range identification, Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition & Reconnaissance (ISTAR) missions, enabling Over-the-Hill reconnaissance both in daytime and at night. Its effectiveness is battle proven. The Controp camera also offers real-time Situation Awareness and Tactical Response.
ECA GROUP and Controp teams have worked together to integrate the video suite ( camera and data transmision) and combine the high performance of the image solution with the reliability of the IT180 UAV.

IT180 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle – Versatile, Robust, Proven

ECA GROUP’s IT180 has been designed to carry a variety of payloads including various cameras and data transmission technology to meet the multiple needs of special forces, armies and Homeland Security forces on all types of missions involving long range identification, Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition & Reconnaissance (ISTAR), drifting mine detection, communication and permanent surveillance.

The IT180 UAV is a resilient, long-endurance high performance UAV proven in battle; the French army has been using the IT180 in reconnaissance missions since 2016 and is particularly satisfied with its performance and robustness in harsh conditions.

This state-of-the-art UAV has a low acoustic signature, a communication range of up to 30 km and withstands rugged environments and conditions (up to 60 km/h winds, dust, snow, sea and moderate rain), day and night.

Controp camera for target visualization > 10 km

The Controp camera is unique in the quality and resolution of its images, usually only found on larger UAV payloads. Its very high-range spectral bands enable it to visualize targets at long distances (> 10 kms) with high contrasts dynamics, even in high humidity conditions including coastal fog. It can perform with low acoustic signature, on ISTAR missions in low light / night conditions.

The combination of ECA GROUP’s IT180 UAV and the Controp camera perfectly meets information control and data confidentiality requirements, inherent in special forces operations.

ECA GROUP is unveiling its IT180 UAV and Controp EO/IR Camera integrated solution at the SOFINS special forces event, from 29 June to 1 July, Souge en Gironde, France.

HOLOSUN expands Green LED Pistol Optic lineup

City of Industry, Ca. (June 30, 2021) – HOLOSUN adds three new pistol optics with Super Green LED technology. At 540nm, HOLOSUN’s Super Green LEDs are closest to the wavelength the human is most sensitive to. Over the next few weeks HOLOSUN will roll out three new Super Green LED models: HE507K-GR X2, HE509T-GR, and HE407K-GR X2.

Green LED optics are becoming more and more popular within competitive, self-defense, and law enforcement circles due to the intense, high-contrast green reticle and increased battery life. The Super Green LED has three times the battery life compared to red at the highest intensity settings providing even more confidence that your HOLOSUN optic will be ready when you need it.

Designed for concealed carry or backup firearms, the HE507K-GR X2 features HOLOSUN’s Multi-reticle System (MRS) with fast acquisition 32MOA/2MOA Circle-Dot reticle. For those who prefer a simpler sight picture, the HE407K-GR X2 features a 6MOA dot only.

HE509T-GR is HOLOSUN’s answer to the pistol optic durability question. With independent testing seeing 20,000 rounds of accelerated use including dozens of shoulder height drops, the enclosed design and grade-5 titanium housing of the HE509T take durability to another level.

With innovations including side-mounted battery tray, Lock Mode, up to 50,000-hour battery life, Shake Awake, and Solar Failsafe (HE509T), HOLOSUN optical sights adapt to any environment for defensive, professional, and sporting users alike.

Polling Shows Pennsylvanians Oppose Chipman for ATF

NEWTOWN, Conn. — Nearly 6 out of 10 Pennsylvania voters oppose President Joe Biden’s nominee David Chipman to run the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). A survey conducted for the National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the firearm industry trade association, showed 58 percent of voters cannot support the gun control lobbyist to run the federal law enforcement bureau.

“This is compelling data Pennsylvania’s senators must consider when the Senate votes on whether to confirm Mr. Chipman to head the ATF,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “Pennsylvanians clearly reject the nomination of David Chipman because they know it is wrong to politicize the ATF. The senators were elected to represent the interests of Pennsylvanians in Washington, D.C. They need to respect the clear wishes of their constituents and vote against this biased and unqualified nominee.”

The survey of 500 likely General Election voters was conducted June 24-26 and showed that when presented with the facts on Chipman’s false statements of .50-caliber rifles downing helicopters during the raid on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas, allegations of racially-insensitive remarks toward fellow ATF agents, his intent to shut down firearm retailers and his comments denigrating first-time gun buyers as “preppers” for a “Zombie apocalypse,” support among respondents dropped by more than 10 percent.

The survey also revealed that strong support for Chipman’s confirmation dropped from 23 percent to just 12.6 percent and overall opposition to Chipman’s confirmation rose to 58 percent when likely Pennsylvania voters were presented with the same information.

NSSF is the trade association for the firearm industry. Its mission is to promote, protect and preserve hunting and the shooting sports. MWSF Benefit Dinner at the Brazos River Sportsman’s Club Raises over $173,000

MWSF Benefit Dinner at the Brazos River Sportsman’s Club Raises over $173,000

FULSHEAR, TX (June 30, 2021) – Military Warriors Support Foundation attended the Brazos River Sportsman’s Club for dinner and a live auction fundraiser. This event, a first for MWSF, raised money for the Skills4Life program. In addition, this event was scheduled to include a shootout, however, due to weather that portion of the event is being rescheduled. The Skills4Life program has helped many Wounded Heroes and Gold Star Families attend and participate in events throughout the year.

Brazos River Sportsman’s Club and the owner Leigh John Bentley showed their support by hosting the event. This club features a 10-lane pistol range, several rifle ranges (25, 52, 100, and 200 yards), tactical training, clay shoots and women’s-only training. With enough space, the club can host a small or large event that can fit any reasonable needs.

A dinner and live auction was held at Anthonie’s Market Grill. Anthonie Dekker, the proprietor, is a Dutch-born chef who has had the pleasure of cooking for many notable individuals. In addition, Bubba Strait, Kyle Park, John Michael Whitby and Jason Roberts made an appearance and performed for everybody that attended. This band has strong ties to George Strait, a supporter of Military Warriors Support Foundation. With George Strait’s help, MWSF has presented homes and vehicles to Heroes and Gold Star Spouses on stage. The dinner and auction at Anthonie’s was a tremendous success and raised over $173,000.

The Skills4Life Program began in 2007 and currently provides recreational outdoor experiences and mentorship. Skills4Life programs are open to combat-wounded veteran Heroes and Gold Star Spouses. Various gatherings throughout the year – such as the Shootout on the Brazos – allow organizers to support the Heroes and their families. Some events are even developed for these Heroes’ children and spouses. With events and support from Leigh John Bentley and Anthonie Dekker, Skills4 Life will be able to continue their support for Heroes and Gold Star Families.
