SIG SAUER Responds to New Jersey Attorney General’s Latest Attack on Firearms Industry
NEWINGTON, N.H., (October 17, 2025) – New Jersey Attorney General Platkin (D) filed a complaint against SIG SAUER, making numerous false and unsubstantiated claims about the P320. This false information requires immediate clarification and remedy.
AG Platkin’s assertion that the Modular Handgun System (MHS) program would not accept SIG SAUER’s submission because testing by the U.S. Army deemed it “unsafe” without a manual safety is outright false. The MHS program solicitation required all firearm manufacturers’ bids include pistols with manual safeties. The Government assured all bidders it would discontinue testing and eliminate a competitor from further consideration if the testing process uncovered any safety issue. SIG SAUER was not eliminated from the competition, but in fact was awarded the contract for the military’s official sidearm.
The Attorney General’s office further stated that an FBI Ballistics Research Facility report claimed one of the safety mechanisms of the P320 can be disabled without any pressure on the trigger. This is also false. SIG SAUER engineers worked directly with the FBI and the Michigan State Police, who commissioned the report, to conduct a comprehensive battery of follow-on tests. The tests resulted in zero failures and today the Michigan State Police confidently issue their officers P320 pistols.
Contrary to the baseless allegations, SIG SAUER has always and will continue to put the safety and security of the US Military, the law enforcement community, consumers, and the public first. AG Platkin’s statement that the P320 can fire uncommanded is also incorrect. To date, nearly twenty (20) P320 lawsuits have been dismissed. Despite years of litigation, plaintiffs’ “experts” have been repeatedly excluded from testifying after being unable to re-create a P320 discharge without a trigger pull. SIG SAUER intends to seek dismissal of AG Platkin’s baseless complaint.

Team Blaser Continues Winning Streak at 2025 World Skeet Championships
San Antonio, Texas (October 16, 2025) – Team Blaser dominated at the 2025 World Skeet Championships once again with Caile Bradham winning HOA World Champion (498/500) and HAA World Champion (598/600). This was the second year in a row that a Team Blaser member won both prestigious titles. Bradham was also Worlds 12 Gauge Runner-up, Worlds Doubles AAA Class Champion, and Mini-Worlds .410 Champion.
The 2025 NSSA Mini-World Skeet Championships were held September 26-28 at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, Texas, followed by the NSSA World Skeet Championships September 29 – October 4.
“I switched to a Blaser F3 Vantage in early 2025, and shortly after I was able to achieve higher scores and more wins all culminating in winning the HOA at the World Skeet Championships,” said Team Blaser’s Caile Bradham. “Without everybody’s support from Blaser USA, none of this would have been possible!”
Team Blaser continued to deliver impressive performances throughout the events. Rachel Barringer was Wayne Mayes Ladies World Champion, Mini-Worlds Ladies HOA Runner-Up, and Mini-Worlds Ladies Doubles 3rd.
Melissa Hinton was Worlds Ladies HOA 3rd, Worlds Ladies .410 3rd, Worlds .410 A Class Champion, and Mini-Worlds Ladies 20 Gauge Runner-up.
John Barnes was Mini-Worlds 12 Gauge AAA Class Champion, and Ed Smith was Mini-Worlds Doubles AA Class Runner-Up.

GA-ASI and Dutch Ministry of Defense Sign Agreement To Develop New Defense Capabilities
GA-ASI AND DUTCH MINISTRY OF DEFENSE SIGN AGREEMENT TO DEVELOP
NEW DEFENSE CAPABILITIES
WASHINGTON – 16 October 2025 – On October 16, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) and the Dutch Ministry of Defence (MoD) signed an agreement to develop innovative defense capabilities starting with a small unmanned aircraft system (SUAS) designed to provide multi-role intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities. The new platform will be low cost and able to host a variety of operationally relevant payloads and capabilities.
The partnership envisions implementing a business model that will enable the platform to scale up to high-volume production to meet demand.
“This contract is the first step in a strategic partnership with the Dutch MoD that will ultimately contribute to the defense of Ukraine and NATO by creating a versatile European defense system,” said GA-ASI CEO Linden Blue.
GA-ASI is the world leader in UAS products and capabilities. The company is building on its established relationship with the Netherlands to create an urgently needed partnership to help defend Europe.
As part of the first phase of the contract, the Dutch MOD will collaborate with GA-ASI to establish UAS manufacturing capability.
Minister for Arms Procurement and Personnel Gijs Tuinman mentioned that this partnership is important: “Together with GA we will be increasing innovative SUAS capabilities and advancing technical knowhow in the Netherlands. This project is an example of strategic trans-Atlantic collaboration that supports our defense and technological base as we contribute to the defense of Ukraine and NATO by creating a versatile European defense system and working with a strong U.S. partner.”
VDL Defentec has been selected by GA-ASI to provide contract manufacturing of the new SUAS. VDL Defentec is based in the Netherlands and specializes in the development, engineering, subcontracting and production of military and special-purpose vehicles and other platforms. GA-ASI will work closely with VDL and provide detailed knowledge about the design, manufacture, logistics, and support of the new SUAS.
“We are excited having been selected by General Atomics and we are proud to support Dutch MOD to create, together with GA-ASI, this unique capability for the Netherlands making our country and our allies more resilient,” said Paul Malcontent, managing director of VDL Defentec.
The new aircraft is expected to fly before the end of this year with low-rate initial production expected to commence in 2026 in both the U.S. and the Netherlands.

NSSF Urges Justice Department to Resume NFA and Import Processing During Federal Government Shutdown
WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, urged the Department of Justice (DOJ), in a letter, to fully reopen the National Firearms Act (NFA) Division and the Import branch of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). The processing of Import permits and NFA forms are legally required for firearm industry members to provide certain firearms to law-abiding Americans wishing to exercise their Second Amendment rights during the current lapse in government funding, that shows no sign of ending any time soon.
Processing of applications for Import permits and NFA forms have been suspended since the federal government shutdown began on Oct. 1, 2025. Background checks for firearm transfers have remained operational through the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), as it is deemed essential to ensure law-abiding citizens can freely exercise their Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms. However, additional processing requirements for lawful transfers of suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns and manufacture and import notifications are in limbo until the federal government is reopened.
“While we understand the operational challenges that arise during a lapse in federal funding, the complete cessation of commercial Imports and the processing of NFA items represents an infringement on the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “Americans’ Second Amendment rights cannot be suspended because Congress has failed to fund the federal government.”
Suppressors are legal to own in 42 states and are used by over 3 million law-abiding guns owners. That figure continues to grow annually. Suppressors are critical to preserving hearing for hunters, recreational shooters and range personnel.
NSSF pointed out that FBI NICS background checks are currently still being conducted, which are required for every suppressor transfer. Resuming Form 4 processing for suppressors, short-barreled rifles and short-barreled shotguns would not place additional burdens on the background check infrastructure, nor would it require additional staffing by FBI NICS.
Continued processing of Form 2 manufacture and import notifications is critical to ensure that the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record (NFRTR) remains up to date, to allow for the transfer of newly manufactured or imported NFA items throughout any shutdown period. Coordinately, continued processing of Form 3 applications for transfers between licensees is critical to ensure that products remain available for customers who may wish to exercise their Second Amendment rights by purchasing an NFA item at their local firearms retailer.

While at Kimber, he managed major accounts, supported live-fire demonstrations, and attended trade shows.

A multilingual professional fluent in Spanish and English and proficient in German, Sánchez has a proven track record in sales and business development within tactical communications, personal protective equipment, and safety solutions. He most recently served as Sales Expert & Key Account Manager at 3M PELTOR, where he supported Military, Law Enforcement, Hunting & Shooting, and Industrial customers in Spain and Portugal. His professional background also includes roles at 3M in respiratory protection, confined space and rescue solutions, and fall protection, technical sales roles at Hoffmann Group, and process engineering at John Deere.

(October 2025) – Zaffiri Precision, a leading innovator in precision-engineered firearm components, announces its new Ported Z Complete Upper for the Glock 19 Gen 3, a dual-ported slide and barrel system designed to reduce recoil and muzzle rise by up to 25 percent. Available immediately at an introductory price of $329.99, the American-made slide aims to give shooters enhanced accuracy, faster follow-up shots, and improved control.
Machined from a single billet of 17-4 stainless steel and finished in Armor Black Cerakote, the slide features forward and rear serrations and comes optic-ready with a Trijicon RMR footprint that also supports Holosun 407c, 507c, and other RMR-pattern optics. The matched barrel includes dual angled ports, with finish options in black nitride, titanium nitride gold, stainless, or spectrum.
Each upper includes a billet upper parts kit and installation of sights and components at no additional charge; a $50 value. Buyers can select standard or fiber-optic sights in low-profile or suppressor-height configurations. Night sights are available as an upgrade. Optional add-ons include Holosun optics, billet extractors, and ZP back plates in multiple finishes.
The Ported Z is compatible with Glock 19 Gen 3 frames as well as the Ruger RXM, SCT 19, P80 PFC9, and PSA Dagger frames. The optic cut is positioned ahead of the rear sight dovetail and ships with proper mounting screws and a black anodized cover plate.
