The year of 2022 was a very interesting year for the defense battery market, as things returned to normal after several challenging years in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We at Epsilor witnessed growing interest in our military and civilian products. We are currently participating in several large tenders and 6T Li-Ion batteries are currently tested by potential customers. Here are some of the main events we had this year.
· In June we revealed at Eurosatory 2022 in Paris, a new NATO 6T Li-Ion rechargeable battery in a metal-case that meets the safety requirements of MIL-PRF-32565C (the US Army Performance Specification). This battery, which is equipped with a smart Battery Management System (BMS) with self-charging and self-balancing, is an ideal solution for military armored vehicles and autonomous ground vehicles (AGV).
· In September, at the MSPO Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce, Poland, we presented together with our local Polish representative MILDAT, our NATO 6T Lithium-Ion battery for armored and military vehicles and heavy-duty applications, which offers four times more energy than in a typical AGM 6T Lead Acid battery.
· In early October, eCastle, which represents Epsilor in the Australian defense market, presented Epsilor’s COMBATT lithium-ion 6T NATO-standard ELI-52526B rechargeable battery, alongside other smart military and professional batteries and chargers, at the LAND FORCES International Land Defence Exposition, which took place in Brisbane, Australia.
· In November, we had an excellent opportunity to meet with our international customers in the marine industry at METSTRADE 2022, where we presented a complete line of marine grade smart batteries, offering the optimal replacement for traditional batteries.
As we look ahead for 2023, we think that the massive procurement programs of many defence forces around the world, open for us new business opportunities to supply our promising smart military batteries.
Epsilor’s batteries offer the best solution for any customer that has acknowledged the advantage of Li-Ion batteries. Epsilor’s batteries are already in use by several NATO armies, including those of France, Italy, Canada, Germany, Poland and Singapore. Israel’s IDF is also using the batteries.

How to Mount Your C&H Precision Weapon Plate to Your Optic
Richmond Hill, GA (Dec 19, 2022) – C&H Precision Weapons offers a wide array of mounting plates that fit various slides and optics. It takes time and research to understand all the different slide cut footprints and what plate fits an optic of choice. Luckily, the team at C&H Precision is happy to help with your selection and purchase.
Once an adaptor plate is chosen the mounting process is relatively straightforward. Make sure the workspace is clean; it’s a great time to lay out all tools, ensuring all necessary items are present. Besides the plate and optic, a tool kit with appropriate Torx bits and drivers are essential. C&H Precision Weapons offer a complete tool kit setup. Fix-It Sticks are an excellent end-all-be-all tool system. The kit, sold on C&H Precision website, provides a T8 and T10 Torx bit, 10 in-lb torque limiter, and the t-handle system. As with any important tool assembly, cleanliness is of utmost importance. Cleaning the plate, screws, and tools will help to ensure a tight fit free from debris. After cleaning the screws, apply a dot of Vibra-Tite to the threads and allow to set for 15-30 minutes, depending on climate.
Depending on the model, press-fitting T-Nuts into the machined pocket on the bottom of the plate may be necessary. If trying to fit the mount into the slide and finding it too difficult, these t-nuts may need to be pressed farther into the plate. Once fitted into the slide, ensure the adaptor fits flat and the mounting holes line up with those in the slide.
Now comes the fun part, making it all work. Taking the appropriate previously cleaned screws with Vibra-Tite, insert them into the mounting holes. Torque is key to a proper fit with screws of the appropriate strength. It’s helpful to use a torque driver to tighten these to 10 in-lb. It’s helpful to finish this assembly by adding an oil-based sharpie mark over the screws and plate as a visual identifier of loosening walking.
The next main part of the assembly is the actual mounting of your red dot of choice. Following the previous steps, line up the holes and insert the appropriate screws through the red dot and into the plate. Tighten to the same torque of 10 in-lb. Again, it’s helpful to mark the screws with paint witness marks to easily identify screws that are walking out.
A few important notes:

NSSF to Host 2nd Annual Governors’ Forum at SHOT Show 2023
WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, will host several governors at SHOT Show® 2023 to speak about the importance of the firearm industry to their state, efforts to attract firearm and ammunition-related businesses, and the benefits of firearm-related businesses to their state economies.
NSSF’s Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show), will take place at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas from Jan. 17-20, 2023. The Governors’ Forum, hosted by NSSF’s Lawrence G. Keane, Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Public Affairs and General Counsel, will take place in the Murano Room, 3rd Floor of the Venetian Expo from 1-2 p.m. (Pacific Time), Jan. 18, 2022. The forum is open to industry media and will include questions from attendees. No RSVP is required.
“This unique opportunity to hear directly from governors of the importance of the firearm industry and issues important to them was a resounding success last year. We wanted to create another event to welcome these governors to speak directly with show attendees and industry media,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF SVP & General Counsel. “NSSF has regularly welcomed governors, but this is a truly special chance to gather these governors in one space to speak about the importance of a growing and vibrant firearm industry to their states.”
