Outdoor Life’s renowned testing protocol is widely respected in the industry for its rigorous and unbiased evaluation of firearms. This year, the testing took place at the Gunsite Academy in Paulden, Arizona, where more than 10,000 rounds of 9mm, 10mm, and .45 ACP were fired during a week-long assessment of the latest handguns on the market.

Outdoor Life’s expert judges praised the DWX for its exceptional performance, superior design, and outstanding value. The Dan Wesson DWX, chambered in 9mm with a capacity of 19+1 rounds, boasts a perfect blend of 1911 and CZ 75 elements, along with CZ’s P-10 match-grade, bushing-less cold hammer-forged bull barrel and extractor. Renowned CZ ergonomics are incorporated into the CZ 75 style profile grips, delivering an excellent feel in hand.
