The brands will formally commemorate the recently executed MOU during the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the CBC Booth (Hall 5A / Booth J391).
Eubank, Ky. (June 2026) – Shell Shock Technologies, LLC. (SST), ), a leading innovator in the ammunition industry, and CBC Global Ammunition, one of the world’s largest ammunition manufacturers, , will formally commemorate the recently executed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the 2026 Eurosatory exhibition in Paris, France.
The ceremonial signing will take place on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the CBC booth (Hall 5A / Booth J391) and marks the beginning of a collaboration focused on the industrialization and commercialization of SST’s proprietary NAS3™ lightweight ammunition technology. The collaboration is intended to support future military, law enforcement, and commercial market opportunities worldwide.
The collaboration encompasses multiple military and commercial calibers, including 5.56×45, 7.62×51, .277 Fury (6.8×51), .338 Lapua Magnum, .50 BMG, and 9mm. Under the framework of the MOU, CBC is expected to serve as a licensed manufacturing and commercialization partner, supporting future large-scale production and global market development initiatives.
SST’s NAS3 technology combines advanced metallurgy and proprietary manufacturing processes to create lightweight, high-pressure-capable ammunition systems designed to improve velocity, greater case capacity, reduced weight, and enhanced overall ballistic performance compared to traditional brass-cased ammunition. Akkar Shotguns: Summer Range Training from Clays to Field
North Kansas City, MO (June 9, 2026) – In clay shooting, shotgun choice influences the timing, swing, target focus, and follow-up shots. Akkar USA’s over/unders, side-by-sides, and pump actions are all effective but require different skills to master. So, this summer, take the time to learn and practice at the range. Putting in the reps now pays off when the season starts.
The High Noon side-by-side leans into simplicity. It’s light, fast to shoulder, and built for instinctive shooting. Its wide sight plane takes some getting used to, so range time should focus on smooth mounts and pointing naturally. The shotgun’s single trigger keeps things simple, while the selector switches between barrels (chokes) as distances change. The High Noon is available in gauge-specific frames 12-, 20-, 28-gauge, and .410, so bore-specific training helps to discover its limits. The High Noon is a good fit for shooters who like a traditional gun and an instinctive shooting style.
The Clubman 12-gauge over/under is built for consistency and volume. A narrow sight plane makes it easier to stay focused. Training here is about repetition: timing, follow-through, and staying in the gun. Chambered for 2¾- to 3½-inch shells and supplied with five choke tubes, it handles a wide range of loads for everything from clays to waterfowl. Features like an automatic safety and mechanical triggers add reliability in the field, making it a practical choice for shooters who want one shotgun to handle multiple roles. The Clubman is at home on the range yet works hard in the field.
For shooters seeking versatility, the Ranch Hand pump-action is a top choice. Pumps are less common as a dedicated clay sport gun; however, training with one at the range builds strong fundamentals, including target focus and good follow-through while cycling the action. Pump shotgun practice should focus on smooth, deliberate operation. The Ranch Hand in 12-, 20-, and 28-gauge, and .410 models allows shooters to match gauge to the game. For someone who wants one shotgun for everything and is willing to put in the work to become proficient, the Ranch Hand makes a lot of sense.
All three will break clays, but each requires a different skill set. And all action types reward shooters with time on the range. Whether refining swing with an over/under, building instinctive shooting with a side-by-side, or developing discipline with a pump, consistent practice is what carries over to the field. Barrett® Developing MRAD® MK 22™ 6.8x51mm Capability
Barrett Firearms Manufacturing Inc. today announced the ongoing development and evaluation of a 6.8x51mm caliber conversion kit for the Barrett MRAD MK 22 Advanced Sniper Rifle system fielded by the U.S. Army.
The new caliber conversion kit is being developed to support the high-pressure, high-performance 6.8x51mm cartridge used across the U.S. Army’s next-generation small arms platforms, including the M7 Rifle, M250 Automatic Rifle and M157 Fire Control system. The conversion kit is intended to provide increased flexibility for warfighters seeking to employ the enhanced terminal performance characteristics of 6.8x51mm ammunition within the in-service MK 22 sniper system.
Barrett is conducting testing and evaluation activities focused on maturing the barrel kit and magazine configuration necessary for reliable and effective employment of the 6.8x51mm cartridge in the MK 22 platform. The development effort is being independently funded and executed by Barrett to ensure the capability is available should operational requirements emerge for the enhanced performance offered by both general purpose and special purpose 6.8x51mm ammunition types.
Barrett is currently testing and evaluating a 6.8x51mm caliber conversion kit for the MRAD MK 22 sniper system, expanding capability options for future mission requirements.
In addition to operational ammunition variants, the MRAD MK 22 6.8x51mm conversion kit is also being designed to function effectively with reduced-range training ammunition, supporting both combat capability and training flexibility.

New Slate of Business Partnerships Established Following the Last Blue Magic Netherlands Event
SAN DIEGO – 08 June 2026 – General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA‑ASI) is deepening its footprint in the Dutch innovation ecosystem, with new investments in six Netherlands-based technology companies through its Blue Magic Netherlands (BMN) venturing initiative.
These new partnerships follow the latest BMN event in Eindhoven, a fast-paced, “shark tank”-style forum in which Dutch startups and scaleups pitched breakthrough technologies directly to GA‑ASI decision makers. The most recent edition drew more than 350 attendees from across the country’s aerospace, defense, and high-tech communities.
Building on the success of prior events, GA‑ASI has selected six Dutch companies for new investment and collaboration. GA-ASI also is increasing its investment in Emergent Swarm, first discovered at BMN 2024. Emergent Swarm is partnering with GA‑ASI to further mature its swarming autonomy detection capability.

FDCL Defence B.V. – GA-ASI and GA-Intelligence will be working with Fiducial to explore the effectiveness of the company’s technology toward massively scaled low-cost future platforms.
Vydar Commercial B.V. – GA-ASI will evaluate Vydar’s technology in a variety of relevant GPS-denied environments and GA-ASI and GA-EMS platforms.
Emproof B.V. – GA-ASI will evaluate the effectiveness of Emproof’s data protection technology for applicability to current and future GA-ASI platforms.

Modern drone warfare increasingly depends on systems that can operate in heavily contested electronic environments. One of the biggest challenges facing long-range unmanned platforms today is reliance on GPS signals, which can be disrupted or manipulated through jamming and electronic warfare systems. At the same time, militaries are searching for lower-cost alternatives to expensive cruise missiles that can still deliver precision strike capability over extended distances.
A newly tested autonomous strike drone (SkyLance by Rotron Aerospace) is being positioned as a part of that shift. The platform recently completed a live-fire demonstration intended to validate its propulsion and flight systems under operational conditions. Designed as a one-way strike system, the drone is intended for missions where forces need expendable long-range attack capability without the cost associated with conventional guided munitions.
The aircraft uses an onboard autonomous navigation system designed to function in GPS-denied environments. According to Interesting Engineering, instead of depending entirely on satellite positioning, it can continue operating in electronically contested conditions using internal guidance and targeting capabilities. This addresses a growing operational concern highlighted by recent conflicts, where electronic interference has repeatedly disrupted conventional drone operations.
Another key aspect of the design is its propulsion system. The drone uses a proprietary engine architecture developed to improve endurance and efficiency while keeping operational costs relatively low. Although exact performance specifications were not disclosed, the platform is intended to support long-range missions while remaining affordable enough for larger-scale deployment.
The system can also integrate with intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance networks, allowing it to receive targeting information and support faster sensor-to-strike coordination. This type of connectivity is increasingly important as militaries move toward more distributed and networked operational models.

ScentLok, with its “fabric first” mentality, originally started the Ridge series project by sourcing the perfect combination of premium fabrics. “We went with a stretchy, ultra-quiet, and smooth micro-tricot polyester exterior and lofted Berber fleece inner lining for warmth and comfort,” said Allie. “The warmth to weight ratio is exceptional. It’s also loftier and warmer than your standard midseason options on the market.”
Ridge’s polyester micro-tricot is an extremely fine warp‑knit fabric known for being smooth, quiet, slightly stretchy, and durable. The excellent polyester micro-tricot is also strong, dimensionally stable, quick‑drying, and resistant to shrinking and wrinkling.
Internally, Ridge’s berber fleece has a lofty, curly pile that traps still air, which boosts thermal insulation –noticeably warmer than smooth fleece or basic knit linings of similar thickness. Berber fleece also breathes well and wicks away moisture.
