When the Jungle Calls, the Sawback Answers: TRUE Sawback Machete
Fort Worth, TX (March 6, 2024) – No one ever needs a machete until they really need a machete. The design and function are timeless with use in the woods, on the road, or during an emergency. While hatchets and saws fill the void, they are single-purpose tools that cannot bridge the gap between sawing and cutting. However, TRUE’s Sawback Machete seamlessly fills both roles.
The Sawback Machete is a Parang blade-style tool boasting a 17-inch cutting edge. On the back is an aggressive 13.5-inch pull saw. Not only will this cut away brush, but it will also allow small to medium-sized limbs to be removed with less work and effort from the user. Made of 3Cr13 steel, it will hold an edge well and effectively resist rust even after hard use. Increased corrosion resistance is built in with a black oxide finish on the exterior of the blade.
Durability is a primary concern of any chopping tool. Full tang construction makes up the entire profile of the Sawback Machete and is encapsulated in the rubberized handle. The grip also contains a lanyard hole for securing to the wrist while in use and is textured for no-slip grip. A TPA and PP blend in the handle construction gives it a semi-soft feel. Included is a 600D Cordura sheath lined with PP plastic construction. Easy to clean, with a belt loop integrated into the design, this sheath easily contains the Sawback Machete and houses it for rapid use.
No matter the environment, TRUE’s Sawback Machete is at home wherever it is placed. Keeping it in the garage, on a belt, or in the back of a vehicle helps keep the user prepared for any event. The Integrated Precision Warfare Division is currently holding elections for Vice Chair for a two-year term (March 2024 – March 2026). This key position will help guide alongside the Division Chair of the Integrated Precision Warfare Division to continued success. Voting is now open until 8 am on Monday, March 25.
Vice Chair – One position available; 2 year-term
The Vice Chair is the second leader in charge of the Division and is elected to the position. The Vice Chair is a member of the Division’s executive committee. The duties of this position include assisting the Chair in the operation of Division affairs and any other responsibilities assigned to him or her by the Chair. In the absence of the Chair, the Vice Chair presides over Division meetings and functions. The Vice Chair is responsible for assisting the Division in reviewing and revising the charter and bylaws to keep the Division relevant to the international community and to ensure the Division is compliant with organizational and procedural principles emanating from NDIA.
Nominations for Vice Chair will be accepted no later than Monday, March 25 at 8:00 a.m. EST. When submitting for either yourself or for others, those nominated must be a NDIA corporate member and a bio/resume must be provided.

We hope you’re enjoying your experience with the Longshot app! We want to provide you with some tips and tricks on how to capture photos and videos using our app. It’s easier than you think!
To capture a photo, simply follow these steps:
Open the Longshot app and navigate to the camera view.
Pinch to Zoom to your desired location of the target.
Tap the orange button ONCE to capture the image.
Your photo is now saved and ready to be admired in the gallery.
For capturing videos, we’ve got you covered too. Here’s how:
- Launch the Longshot app and switch to video mode.
- Pinch to Zoom to your desired location of the target.
- Press and hold the orange button to start recording the video.
- Mark your Shots and progress as you go.
- Tap the orange button again to end the video capture process and is saved to your Longshot gallery
To access the gallery, simply return to the Home Screen on the Longshot App. From there, you can browse and relive your captured moments whenever you please.
