HUNT VALLEY, Md., October 3, 2024 – Textron Systems Corporation, a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, announced today that Team RIPSAW — Textron Systems, its subsidiary, Howe & Howe and Teledyne FLIR Defense — has delivered two RIPSAW® M3 prototype vehicles to the U.S. Army for the competitive Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV) Phase I: Platform Prototype program. The vehicles were delivered to Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland.
The RIPSAW M3 leverages a modular open systems architecture (MOSA) design and common chassis to support a variety of interchangeable payloads from a basic flat-top deck configuration. A rugged and reliable RCV platform, the vehicle is designed to meet Army requirements while preserving transportability and mission versatility.

Team RIPSAW has invested in this family of robotic vehicles since 2019 when the RIPSAW M5 system first debuted. Since 2019, the RIPSAW family of vehicles have amassed over 4,700 miles of durability testing.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The NSSF’s Protect Liberty Political Action Committee (Protect Liberty PAC) announced it received a significant $25,000 financial contribution from Benelli USA. The sizable contribution will be used to elect candidates dedicated to preserving and protecting liberty, freedom and the Constitutional rights of all Americans, especially our Second Amendment rights which are under constant attack. Election Day is just 15 days away.
“With polls showing a razor-thin presidential race coming down to just a few critical key swing states, we know each and every vote from a hunter, recreational shooter and Second Amendment supporter will have an outsized impact on the outcome on November 5th. NSSF’s Protect Liberty PAC is utilizing all our resources to turn out those voters to ensure that our next elected officials will be those who will protect and preserve the firearm industry and the values and traditions we hold dear. That’s why Benelli USA’s donation at this critical time is so important and why we’re grateful Benelli is joining us in the fight for our future,” said Lawrence G. Keane, Protect Liberty PAC’s Treasurer. “Benelli USA is demonstrating true leadership in doing all they can to ensure that future administrations and elected officials are those who will support the firearm and ammunition industry, and not have stated agendas of weakening or dismantling our historical rights and freedoms.”

Protect Liberty PAC is a federally registered “super PAC” founded in 2023 by NSSF. Protect Liberty PAC is an independent-expenditure only political committee and can accept unlimited personal and corporate contributions from companies in or outside of the industry, so long as they do not have federal contracts. Protect Liberty PAC will expressly advocate for the election or defeat of specific candidates and that advocacy will be completely independent of any candidate or political party.
Contributions to Protect Liber.ty PAC are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Federal law requires Protect Liberty PAC to use its best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and the name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year. Protect Liberty PAC can accept unlimited personal and corporate contributions. However, contributions from foreign nationals, federal contractors, national banks, and federally chartered corporations are prohibited.
