Longshot Cameras Updates App With Faster Streaming, Improved Shot Tracking and New Media Analysis Tools

Pearland, TX –  September 2026 — Longshot Cameras has released version 5.3.5 of the Longshot App, introducing a series of updates designed to make range sessions faster, more responsive and easier to review.

The latest update focuses on improving the way shooters interact with Longshot camera systems, from reduced video latency and faster streaming to expanded shot-marking capabilities and new tools for reviewing shooting media.

Longshot’s latest app improvements are designed around a simple objective: give shooters more time behind the rifle and less time managing their equipment.

One of the most significant updates is an upgraded video streaming system designed to improve efficiency and reduce latency. The result is a more responsive live viewing experience when monitoring targets through a Longshot camera system.

The update also adds camera microphone audio support for Longshot Install and Competition Kit systems equipped with microphones. This allows compatible systems to stream audio from the camera along with the live video feed.

Longshot has also made several improvements to session- and shot-marker functionality. Shooters can now choose to keep session markers, making it easier to maintain shot information while working through a shooting session. Continuous marker counting has also been added to provide improved organization when tracking multiple shots.

The app’s Blinker Shot Locator has also received an update. With the new Capture on Mark function, shooters can automatically capture a fresh Blinker image when a new shot marker is placed. The feature provides another way to document impacts and review shot placement during or after a session.

Another addition in version 5.3.5 is Analyze Media, giving shooters a dedicated way to work with recorded shooting media and get more value from the information captured during a range session.

Version 5.3.5 is available for compatible Longshot App users. The app is available for both iOS and Android devices.
