MAJOR ASA VICTORY IN NFA CHALLENGE
The judge in the 5th Circuit found the NFA Unlawful for $ 0-tax items and granted summary judgment in Silencer Shop Foundation et al v. ATF — the combined case that incorporated ASA-backed Jensen v. ATF — challenging the inclusion of suppressors in the NFA now that the tax was reduced to $0. ASA led the charge in 2025 to eliminate the $200 transfer tax on suppressors and other NFA items, and now that the tax is $0, the court ruled that the NFA is unenforceable for non-taxed items!
