Lenexa, KS (July 7, 2026) – Athlon Optics has introduced the Cronus ATS P-MINI 250S, a pocket-sized thermal monocular built for hunters, landowners, and outdoor enthusiasts who need capable thermal performance in an ultracompact package. Priced at $499, the P-MINI 250S combines advanced thermal technology with intuitive features for reliable target detection and observation in low-light and nighttime conditions.

Sensor Performance

The P-MINI 250S is built around a 256×192, 12μm thermal sensor with an NETD of less than 30mK at 25°C. Sub-30mK sensitivity delivers cleaner image quality and better target discrimination in low-contrast thermal environments such as dense brush, warm ambient temperatures, or targets with minimal temperature differential from their surroundings. Detection range reaches up to 550 yards with variable digital magnification from 1x to 4x.

Display and Interface

The monocular features a 1.43-inch OLED color touchscreen with a display resolution of 466×466. All menu navigation is handled through the touchscreen. Seven color palettes are available — White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Iron Red, Blue Hot, Green Hot, and Sepia, with adjustable brightness and contrast for each.

Connectivity and Recording

Integrated Wi-Fi connects to the free Athlon Optics app for iOS and Android, enabling live streaming, video and audio recording, still image capture, and wireless file transfer. The P-MINI 250S includes 32GB of internal storage for on-device recording without a paired phone. An automatic hotspot tracking feature marks the highest-temperature object in the frame.

Battery and Charging

The P-MINI 250S delivers up to six hours of runtime on its internal rechargeable battery. It charges via USB-C and is compatible with external battery packs for extended field use.
