Designed by Jim Bruhns of Bruhns Design, the Saxum showcases a sophisticated expression of modern knife artistry and exceptional mechanical performance. Delivered in two distinctive configurations, each exemplifies Hogue’s commitment to providing an elevated user experience with heirloom-level fit and finish.
The first configuration features Damascus steel with smooth Kingwood inlays and bronze anodized thumb studs. The second combines Hogue’s first-ever incorporation of CPM MagnaMax, alongside lightweight carbon fiber inserts and blue anodized titanium thumbstuds. The engineers at Hogue worked directly with the inventor of MagnaMax, Dr. Larrin Thomas, on the heat treatment specifications for this high performance steel in order to confirm strict material quality and maximize its revolutionary edge retention and wear resistance.
At the heart of the Saxum lies a thrust bearing system, designed to feel effortless in every interaction and deliver remarkably fluid action.
