At EUROSATORY 2026 in Paris, SIG SAUER Advanced Defense Systems made a significant impact by shifting its focus heavily toward AI-powered and lightweight remote weapon technologies, rather than just traditional small arms.
Instead of standard infantry rifles, SIG SAUER used EUROSATORY 2026 to introduce a modular, multi-domain family of Remote-Controlled Weapon Stations (RCWS) aimed at manned and unmanned platforms:

UltraLight RCWS: At the center of their exhibit (Hall 6, Booth D26), they showcased this combat-proven, ultra-light weapon station integrated with SIG SAUER’s medium machine guns and the Next Generation Squad Weapon (NGSW) family. It features AI-powered target cueing to help operators track multiple threats simultaneously.
MicroLight RCWS: An airborne-configured version designed explicitly for drone integration, pairing a stabilized light machine gun with unmanned aerial systems while preserving flight stability.
Ranger Remote Control Unit (RCU): The wireless/wired control interface powering these systems, utilizing computer vision for Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) to classify drones, vehicles, and personnel in real-time
