Inside the Athlon Optics Argos BTR GEN3 Riflescope Line

Lenexa, KS (June 3, 2026) – The Athlon Optics Argos BTR GEN3 builds on a trusted legacy of precision and value, delivering meaningful upgrades designed for shooters pursuing long-range accuracy, competitive performance, and precision target shooting.

At the core of the Argos BTR GEN3 is a rugged 30mm aircraft-grade aluminum tube, argon purged for superior fog resistance and built to withstand demanding real-world conditions. Advanced fully multi-coated lenses provide excellent light transmission, clarity, and true color, while Athlon’s XPL coating adds an extra layer of protection against dirt, oil, and scratches. A high-precision erector system and parallax adjustment down to 10 yards ensure repeatable accuracy and confidence at distance.

The Argos BTR GEN3 line offers versatile options built for both long-range precision shooting and fast-paced short-range applications.

The 6-24×50 and 8-34×56 models are ideal for shooters getting into PRS and long-range target shooting, delivering precision-focused performance at an accessible price point. For shooters demanding even greater magnification, the 10-40×56 is purpose-built for benchrest and precision target shooting, offering detailed target evaluation at extended distances.

Rounding out the lineup is the 1-8×24 LPVO, a compact and versatile optic designed for close- to mid-range performance. Built for fast target acquisition, its illuminated center horseshoe reticle functions similarly to a red dot for close-range engagements, while integrated holdovers provide quick reference points for mid-range shooting.

Select Argos BTR GEN3 models now feature a precision zero-stop system, allowing shooters to quickly and confidently return to their original zero without tracking turret rotations or second-guessing settings. Because the 1-8×24 is optimized for fast, short-range use, it does not include a zero stop. Redesigned turrets and an updated magnification ring further enhance ergonomics and handling across the lineup, creating a more refined user experience over previous generations.

The Argos BTR GEN3 lineup is available in 1-8×24, 6-24×50, 8-34×56, and 10-40×56 configurations.

Backed by Athlon’s lifetime warranty, shooters can trust their investment is protected for the long haul, no matter where or how hard they run their equipment.
