The folks at KRISS USA have been discussing introducing a Vector in 9mm for quite a few years; that moment has arrived. The 9mm KRISS will sport the new KRISS form factor, which has a very nice, I’ll call it aggressive, texturing on the forward end of the magazine well and the grip. KRISS has also relocated the safety lever so that it’s closer to the grip. In the older style KRISS people with smaller hands had to break their grip to operate the safety; that will no longer be the case. Like its .45ACP counterpart, KRISS 9mm will feed from Glock 17 magazines.
Also new is the redesigned trigger. The new trigger will pivot as opposed to slide back in a linear path; that will go a long way to improving the feel of the KRISS. Saving the best for last, KRISS will support caliber changes. To change between 9mm and .45ACP, remove the shroud and swap barrels.
KRISS USA is also jumping on the airsoft bandwagon with a number of offerings. I’m very happy with that move because I was an early adopter of airsoft technology for force-on-force training, so the more choices the better.
