There’s official-unofficial scuttlebutt from the folks at SIG Arms that a SIG SMG is on the horizon. Interestingly enough, it retains the form factor of an AR platform, but this is where any similarity ends. SIG has not fully opened the kimono but its SMG is rumored to have an adjustable gas system, which we hope was designed around a suppressed version of the weapon.
