WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS) & American Woodcock Society (AWS) have joined the +ONE® Movement, a national mentorship initiative led by NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association. As official +ONE Partners, RGS & AWS stand alongside a growing coalition of organizations working to ensure the future of hunting and the shooting sports by introducing new people to safe and responsible participation in these activities.
Research shows millions of people are interested in hunting but don’t know where to start. By fostering peer-to-peer mentorship and supporting organizations with structured mentorship programs, +ONE ensures newcomers have the guidance, skills and confidence needed to become lifelong hunters and conservationists. While individuals play a key role in mentoring others, +ONE Partners like RGS & AWS create large-scale opportunities for new hunters to learn, connect and participate.
For more than 60 years, RGS & AWS have united conservationists and hunters to improve forest habitat and promote active wildlife management for ruffed grouse, American woodcock and all forest species. With a deep commitment to forest stewardship, the organization supports habitat restoration, hunter recruitment and conservation-driven outreach efforts that ensure healthy forests and thriving wildlife populations. Through mentored hunts, shooting events and chapter-led conservation programs, RGS & AWS provide direct pathways for new hunters to get involved in upland bird hunting and conservation advocacy.

SAAMI Announces New Online Resources Providing Guidance for Firearms, Ammunition and Smokeless Propellants Exposed to Fire and Water
SHELTON, Conn. — The Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute®, Inc. (SAAMI®) is pleased to announce that it has added three new web-based resources to its website. These new resources provide guidance for the consumer to safely deal with firearms, ammunition and smokeless propellants that have been exposed to fire (and the associated extreme temperatures) or to submersion or exposure to water and firefighting agents.
Hidden damage can occur to firearms, ammunition and smokeless propellants when exposed to any of these conditions, potentially rendering them unsafe to use. These documents are important for consumers’ safety because they provide guidance on how to safely deal with firearms, ammunition and smokeless propellants after exposure to extreme conditions.
“These important documents add to SAAMI’s technical library of firearm safety resources that provide guidance to both industry professionals and the firearm-owning community. They provide relevant and safety-critical information for anyone whose firearms or ammunition may have been exposed to high temperatures or submerged in water. They are great sources of information that gun-owners can refer to if they have endured certain challenging events,” said Joe Bartozzi, SAAMI President and CEO.
All three documents were developed by SAAMI and can be found on the SAAMI website under Informational Publications and Advisories.

Guidance on Firearms and Ammunition Exposed to Fire – This document provides guidance to the consumer on how to safely deal with firearms, ammunition and smokeless propellants that have been exposed to fire or the extreme temperatures that occur in fires. Hidden damage caused by the extreme temperature can make the use of these items potentially unsafe after they’ve been exposed.

Guidance On Firearms That Have Been Submerged in Water – This document provides guidance to the consumer on how to best care for and protect firearms that have been submerged in water or exposed to water-based firefighting agents. Water exposure or submersion of firearms can promote corrosion of some metallic components and the warpage or damage of other components such as wooden stocks and grips. Silt or other waterborne fine particles can infiltrate the action and other firearm mechanisms causing them to perform in unexpected and unacceptable manners.

Guidance on Ammunition That Has Been Submerged in Water – This document provides guidance to the consumer on how to deal with ammunition that has been submerged in water or exposed to water or water-based firefighting agents. Water exposure or submersion of ammunition can compromise its performance depending upon the nature and degree of the exposure. Clear guidelines are provided to help decide whether the ammunition is salvageable or safe to use.

The WalkAbout 3.0’s open top allows a very fast draw, while the reinforced mouth allows a smooth and easy return of the gun to the holster. The WalkAbout 3.0’s belt clips are adjustable for cant, making it suitable for the strongside, crossdraw, or appendix carry positions.
The WalkAbout 3.0’s attached magazine carrier has a more pronounced angle than previous versions. This angle allows pistols with most carry-style red-dot optics to clear the spare magazine’s floorplate when drawing and has the secondary benefit of allowing a faster draw of the magazine when reloading, especially from the appendix carry position.
The ambidextrous WalkAbout 3.0 is supplied with two types of interchangeable tuckable clips. The first is the UniClip™, designed to go over the belt, but which also works well without a belt. SAN DIEGO – 10 March 2025 – General Atomics Systems Integration (GA-SI) and Radian Aerospace (“Radian”) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to advance next-generation aerospace technologies and explore broader strategic collaboration, including localization opportunities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The collaboration will focus on integrating advanced avionics, electrification, and actuation technologies into cutting-edge aerospace platforms, leveraging GA-SI’s expertise in high-performance systems and Radian’s breakthrough single-stage spaceplane architecture. A key initiative will be the development of electromechanical braking and control actuation systems, which reduce weight, streamline operations, and enhance efficiency while ensuring the reliability needed for frequent space missions.
“This partnership underscores GA’s commitment to driving innovation across critical aerospace systems,” said Scott Sappenfield, Vice President of the Engineering Services Division. “Electromechanical braking is just one way we’re pushing the boundaries of efficiency and sustainability. We’re also excited about expanding collaboration with Radian through industrial partnerships and localization efforts in the UAE.”
The MOU also lays the groundwork for broader collaboration, and joint exploration of UAE offset projects. As GA-SI expands its presence in the UAE, the companies will assess local manufacturing, technology transfer, and workforce development opportunities to support regional aerospace growth.

The Truth About the SIG P320

Furthermore, lawsuits claiming that the P320 is capable of firing without the trigger being pulled have been dismissed in courtrooms around the country. In addition, multiple plaintiffs’ so-called experts have conceded, it is not possible for the P320 to discharge unless the trigger is fully actuated.
The rhetoric is high, and we can no longer stay silent while lawsuits run their course, and clickbait farming, engagement hacking grifters continue their campaign to highjack the truth for profit. Enough is enough. From the courts of law to the court of public opinion we will combat the lies and misinformation with the truth. Next is the XD2, which maintains the same lightweight feel at 3.9 ounces. Its unique gray TPE scales overlay yellow ABS for an eye-catching look. The XD2 offers three blade profiles: utility saw, black oxide standard utility, and 50 percent serrated utility. It also comes standard with a blade storage utility pod to safely store new and used blades.
The XD3 weighs 3.9 ounces. Its gray anodized aluminum scales enhance its aesthetic appeal while remaining practical. The XD3 is also fitted with multiple blade options to tackle any task you encounter throughout the day, including a utility saw, black oxide utility, and sheepsfoot blades. A blade storage pod for securing blades is included.
The XD4 weighs slightly less, at only 3.7 ounces, due to its green anodized aluminum scales. It also comes with a utility saw, black oxide utility, and 50 percent serrated utility blades, and a blade storage pod for safe blade storage.
