A new integration of artificial intelligence into the EAGLS defense platform is set to significantly upgrade its capability to detect and neutralize airborne threats, including fast-moving drones and missiles, without the use of radar or GPS.

Romania-based OVES Enterprise has partnered with MSI Defense Solutions to embed its Nemesis AI system into the EAGLS platform, creating a fully automated threat detection and response solution. The system is built around visual-based sensing, using advanced thermal and neuromorphic cameras. These are connected through a sensor fusion framework designed to process complex visual data in real time.

Unlike conventional defense platforms that rely on radar signatures or satellite-based positioning, the updated EAGLS system identifies threats purely through AI-enhanced visual analysis. Once a threat is visually detected, Nemesis AI classifies the object and recommends an interception method based on the weapons available. This decision-making process is powered by AI hardware optimized for high-speed data handling and real-time tactical evaluation, according to The Defense Post.

Another key feature of the upgraded platform is its AI-controlled targeting system. Instead of relying on mechanical systems, the system uses AI commands to control weapon station positioning, reducing reaction time and improving accuracy against evasive or small targets like drones.

EAGLS, already designed to operate either as a standalone unit or within a broader defense network, combines several established capabilities such as 360-degree surveillance radars, remotely operated weapon stations, and laser-guided rocket launchers. The integration of Nemesis AI effectively transforms it into an autonomous countermeasure platform capable of operating quickly.

The implications for battlefield and border defense are substantial. With drone warfare rapidly evolving and traditional detection systems often failing to track or engage new aerial threats effectively, the ability to operate radar- and GPS-independent systems opens new possibilities for securing vulnerable infrastructure or conflict zones.

This collaboration demonstrates how AI-powered autonomy is increasingly becoming central to modern defense platforms, offering faster decision-making, reduced system latency, and improved interception rates in high-threat environments.

Zero failures across the harshest testing conditions at the Naval Surface Warfare Center confirm NAS³ case technology’s battlefield readiness.

Eubank, KY (March 2025) – Shell Shock Technologies, LLC. (SST), a leading innovator in the ammunition industry, is proud to announce a critical achievement in its mission to redefine military-grade ammunition performance. The company’s 7.62x51mm NAS³ cartridge cases have successfully completed rigorous testing at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, one of the most demanding environments in the defense sector. The results: zero case failures.

The tested ammo used a 155-gr bullet, loaded at 50,000 psi, and had velocities of 3000 ft/sec. It was tested under extreme pressure and velocity in belt-fed machine guns, including the 240 Bravo and Minigun platforms, SST’s 7.62×51 cases passed with flying colors, even under the violent conditions of automatic fire and harsh ejection cycles. Testing was conducted at ambient temperature, -40°F and +160°F, with all pressure and velocity benchmarks met or exceeded.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Oklahoma’s Gov. Kevin Stitt is a man of his word. Gov. Stitt told attendees at the NSSF SHOT Show^® Governors’ Forum that if state lawmakers would send the Firearm Industry Nondiscrimination (FIND) Act to his desk, he would sign it.

NSSF celebrates Gov. Stitt signing the law to prevent “woke” corporate banks with discriminatory policies against firearm industry members from collecting taxpayer dollars through state contracts. Oklahomans will choose to do business with those companies that do not discriminate based on an industry these corporate banks may not like or with which they disagree.

Gov. Stitt signed SB 500, the NSSF-priority FIND Act into law, which prohibits state agencies and local government entities from entering into contracts with corporations that discriminate against the firearm industry.

“Governor Stitt delivered on his promise that Oklahoma would only do business with entities that respect the lawful commerce of arms in the Sooner State.” said Darren LaSorte, NSSF’s Director, Government Relations – State Affairs. “By signing the FIND Act, Governor Stitt is signaling to our industry that Oklahoma is now a place where firearm industry members are welcomed with open arms.”

Oklahoma’s FIND Act, sponsored by state Sen. Casey Murdock and state Rep. Kevin West, will require all large corporations seeking contracts valued at $100,000 or greater with the state and its municipalities to certify that they hold no discriminatory policies against firearm industry businesses. Contracts that are certified and later discovered to be out of compliance with the law will be subject to cancellation.

Oklahoma is the 11^th state to enact FIND Act laws to prevent corporate discrimination. Others include Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Montana, Texas, Utah, West Virginia and Wyoming. Similar legislation, also titled the FIND Act, was introduced in Congress by U.S. Rep. Jack Bergman (R-Mich.) as H.R. 45 and by U.S. Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) as S. 137.

NSSF Hails Tennessee’s Gov. Lee for Signing Firearm Industry Protection Law

WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF^®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, hails Tennessee’s Gov. Bill Lee for signing SB 1360 into law which brings added protections to the firearm industry and Second Amendment rights in the Volunteer State. The law protects the state’s growing firearm and ammunition industry from special-interest “lawfare” abuse of the judicial system against firearm and ammunition manufacturers, distributors and retailers. The legislation was approved by Tennessee’s General Assembly with an overwhelming majority.

“Governor Lee, and Tennessee’s lawmakers, are sending a clear message that gun control lawfare targeted against our industry, which is vital to Tennessee’s economy and the nation’s heritage of Second Amendment freedoms, will not be tolerated,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “Governor Lee’s commitment to the lawful commerce in arms and free exercise of the rights to keep and bear arms in Tennessee is demonstrated by the growth of firearm manufacturers moving to the state to grow their businesses. The firearm industry is grateful for state Representative Monty Fritts and state Senator Joe Hensley for shepherding this bill through the legislature and for Governor Lee’ leadership in signing these important protections into law.”

Tennessee is home to Smith & Wesson, Inc., Beretta USA Corp., TROY Industries, Cheytac and Barrett Firearms Manufacturing, among others. The firearm industry brings over 13,500 jobs, with $3.7 billion in total economic activity and $7.5 million in tax revenue to the Volunteer State.

Tennessee’s SB 1360 builds upon the federal Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) to bring added state-level protections. The law protects firearm industry members from “qualified civil liability actions” – or lawsuits based on the criminal acts committed by remote third parties – from being brought against firearm manufacturers, distributors and retailers. Tennessee laws prohibit frivolous lawsuits that cannot be proven that firearm industry members directly caused harm.

SB 1360 adds a deterrent by requiring plaintiffs attempting to bring frivolous lawsuits against firearm industry members to pay those defendants three times the damages cited in their legal complaints – plus attorney’s fees – if those lawsuits violate Tennessee law.

The holster pocket is constructed of kydex shaped to specific firearms and riveted to the back plate. The backing plate is constructed of layered materials, beginning with an outer layer of durable, ventilated top grain steerhide. Beneath that is closed cell foam that imparts structure to the holster body and contributes to the cloud-like comfort in all-day carry. Finally, the back portion of the plate that rides against the wearer is lined with Galco’s Comfort Cloth™, an Adaptive Performance Mesh™ that provides moisture wicking.
