Tariff Adjustment and Pricing Update
Zastava Arms USA is issuing the following update regarding current and upcoming changes to import tariffs and their impact on pricing.
As of today, April 11, 2025, the implementation of reciprocal tariffs has been officially delayed for 90 days. However, a 10% tariff is now in effect on all firearm imports from all countries, in addition to the standard duty rates already in place.
At this time, Zastava Arms USA remains committed to maintaining current pricing for all products that are presently in stock. Inventory levels are very limited, and customers are advised that pricing will be adjusted accordingly upon the arrival of the next shipment of ZPAP rifles, expected by the end of next week.
Zastava Arms USA will continue to monitor regulatory developments closely and provide timely updates to our customers and partners. We appreciate your understanding as we navigate these changes while continuing our commitment to quality and transparency.

NSSF Condemns Gov. Polis’ Signature of Unconstitutional Law Limiting Second Amendment Rights
WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, condemns Colorado Gov. Jared Polis’ signature of a new law that unconstitutionally infringes on the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens in his state to keep and bear arms. Gov. Polis signed SB25-003 into law, which bans the sale of the most popular selling rifle in America – the Modern Sporting Rifle (MSR) – unless Coloradans obtain from their county sheriff approval, based on subjective criteria, a permit-to-purchase semiautomatic firearms capable of accepting detachable magazines.
“This law is unconstitutional on its face. It is a gun control group spurred attack on the Second Amendment rights of those who follow the law,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF’s Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “Colorado lawmakers who claim Gov. Polis’ gun ban will make their state safer have yet to offer legislation that would hold criminals accountable for the criminal misuse of firearms. Instead, they violate the rights of those who obey the law.
Colorado’s SB25-003 makes Second Amendment rights in Colorado only permissible with a state-approved permission slip. It is an attack on the lawful sale of the most popular-selling centerfire rifles in America – the MSR or AR-15 – of which there are over 30 million in circulation today. Those firearms are used for lawful purposes daily, including recreational target shooting, hunting and self-defense. SB25-003 also bans the sale of semiautomatic shotguns and pistols that can accept detachable magazines, unless lawful purchasers obtain similar approval from county sheriffs and obtain a permit-to-purchase.
Under Colorado’s SB 25-003, the sale of semiautomatic firearms capable of accepting a detachable magazine is banned unless those purchasing the firearms are vetted by a local sheriff and complete a firearm certification course. Sheriff approval to apply for a permit-to-purchase is based on subjective criteria, which was expressly rejected by the U.S. Supreme Court in the 2022 Bruen decision that struck down New York’s unconstitutional concealed carry permitting law.
County sheriffs can deny an application if they have a “reasonable belief that documented previous behavior by the application makes it likely the applicant will present a danger to themself or others.” Sheriffs could also revoke purchasing permissions under the same standard. The criteria for the required training course is yet to be established.
That is all before a purchaser must complete and be approved for a purchase through the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).

Announcing the IWS Reduced Pathogen Silencer Line

Israel Weapon Industries, United States (IWI US) is pleased to announce the addition of the IWS Reduced Pathogen Silencer line of silencers and accessories to its offerings for commercial, law enforcement, and government sale. IWI US, and IWI International, are an industry leading firearms manufacturing and development team under the SK Group. Their near century of dedication to form, function, and endurance in their product lines have resulted in numerous iconic and respected firearm families, to include the Jericho pistols, the Tavor rifle line, the Galil rifle line, and the legendary UZI.
The IWS Reduced Pathogen Silencer line joins these in offering state of the art suppression for modern firearms. The design of the IWS series incorporates the noise signature and flash reduction found in all silencers with pressure reduction internal geometry. This combination means that the silencers only fractionally increase internal pressure and reciprocal parts’ speed, and dramatically reduce the amount of harmful gas that traditional silencers push back through a weapon’s chamber and operating system. Far less wear and tear on the firearms and the operators.
The IWS series is modular and comes with the patented HUB+ tapered direct thread adapter. The HUB+ can be replaced with any HUB 1.375×24 (Universal Thread) adapter to mount to the muzzle device of your choice. IWI US has a list of recommended adapters on our website. The IWS will have IWI HUB+ QD muzzle options and adapters available through their webstore and for dealers to stock. The QD muzzles will feature the full performance offered by the HUB+ design where other HUB devices may not.
Internally the IWS line utilizes a proprietary inconel steel or titanium baffle system, model dependent, which results in incredibly durable silencers. The inconel IWS6K, IWS6, and IWS7 models have no barrel restrictions beyond their diameter and the titanium IWS22 can handle magnum and 5.7x28mm pressures on pistols and rifles. They are full-auto rated, and yes we do mean belt-fed full-auto. The IWS7Ti is only restricted on magnum caliber rifles to a barrel length of 20” or greater, its design is optimized for precision rifle applications (we won’t complain if you put it on a 7.62 NATO SBR though).
The IWS carry a special warranty from IWI for the entire life of the silencer against any defect in manufacturing. Shoot them. Shoot them a lot. Keep shooting them. Then shoot them some more.

Firearm Industry Economic Impact Rises 379% Since 2008
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The total economic impact of the firearm and ammunition industry in the United States increased from $19.1 billion in 2008 to $91.7 billion in 2024, a 379 percent increase, while the total number of full-time equivalent jobs rose from approximately 166,000 to over 383,000, a 130 percent increase in that period, according to a report released by the NSSF, the firearm industry trade association.
On a year-over-year basis, the industry’s economic impact rose from $90.5 billion in 2023, to $91.7 billion in 2024. The firearm industry has broader impacts throughout the economy. It supports and generates business for firms seemingly unrelated to firearms, at a time when every job in America counts. These are real people, with real jobs, working in industries as varied as banking, retail, accounting, metal working and printing among others.
The firearm and ammunition industry paid nearly $11 billion in business taxes, including property, income and sales-based levies. An additional $886 million was paid in federal excise taxes, which directly contribute to wildlife conservation.
“Our industry is a vital economic contributor to every state and every community. These are companies employing men and women from all walks of life and they prove daily that the American firearm and ammunition industry is strong,” said Joe Bartozzi, NSSF President and CEO. “This industry proudly provides the means for law-abiding citizens to exercise their Second Amendment rights. Our industry enables Americans to engage in the American traditions of recreational target shooting and hunting, and we are the primary source of wildlife conservation funding in America. The growth of the firearm industry equals more jobs that add to our local economies, averaging $68,300 in wages and benefits, up from $67,500 reported last year. Since 2008, federal business tax payments increased by 340 percent, Pittman-Robertson excise taxes that support wildlife conservation by 152 percent and state business taxes by 238 percent.”
