(Fort Smith, Arkansas) June 28, 2019—Umarex USA is teaming up with outdoorsman and artist Tim “Spike” Davis to kick off its 2019 Summer Safety Campaign. The summer season is a perennially active family outdoor based recreation time in the US. Umarex will use Tim’s quirky and unique art to underscore the safe use of airguns.
On Monday, June 24th, 2019 Umarex USA began bi-weekly posting a series of 12 hand drawn Tim Davis sketches to their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter social media feeds. These sketches highlight basic safety concerns that deal specifically with airgun owners.
Modern airguns are accurate and can be very powerful. These airguns should not be considered a toy under any circumstances. Just like firearms, airguns require safety protocols for their use. These protocols include the traditional Four Rules of Firearm Safety, but also some additional wisdom that will help airgun owners create a positive public image and, most importantly, a safe shooting environment.
Umarex USA would like to encourage our friends on social media, our corporate partners, and members of the outdoors media to join with us to spread this safety message to respect airguns across the US. Umarex USA Social Media Channels will be using the hashtag #respectairguns with all of these posts. Please join Umarex USA in this messaging campaign to foster a safe and enjoyable shooting experience and lead by example to start off this summer with #respectairguns.

Earlier in 2019, Vortex Optics, one of the most highly regarded magnified optics manufacturer in the United States, announced an addition to its existing LRF line, the Razor HD 4000 laser range finder, and it has to be one of the most notable product announcements of the year.
As succinctly as I can say it, the Vortex Razor HD 4000 is an excellent offering from a small company who seems to continuously redefine excellence and performance.

Henderson, NV – Hogue Incorporated has crafted their latest HandALL Beavertail grip sleeves to fit the Springfield XD-E. This HandALL line is the direct result of the company’s determination to meet the needs of a vast and ever-changing consumer market. “Over the past few years we have received a significant amount of requests for grips designed specifically to be compatible with polymer framed firearms. Hogue engineers have spent months meticulously developing and testing a precision fit model for the XD-E. Now that the wait is over, we are eager to let Hogue fans know,” explained Kara Ramage, head of Hogue Inc.’s customer service department.
The advantages of Hogue’s Beavertail grip sleeves on polymer pistols are quickly evident upon installation. Perceived recoil is reduced by Hogue’s ultra-soft rubber, the beavertail design fills the palm of the hand and added finger grooves provide a secure hold. When asked why Hogue grip sleeves are so desired, military veteran and Hogue firearms specialist John Dotts replied, “The answer is simple; our grip sleeves provide the best grip enhancement, period.” Hogue HandALL Beavertail grip sleeves come in a variety of colors and retail at an affordable $10.95–$12.95.
Hogue Grip sleeves are manufactured in their family-owned and operated facilities under direct supervision of the Hogue family. (COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – June 27, 2019) –
Two Olympians and a promising Olympic hopeful dominated their events to win national titles on a nine-hour day of exciting shooting action that included seven event Finals taking place at the 2019 USA Shooting Rifle/Pistol National Championships.
Olympic champion Ginny Thrasher (Springfield, Virginia), 2012 Olympian Nick Mowrer(WCAP/Butte, Montana) and Olympic hopeful Alexis Lagan (Boulder City, Nevada) were crowned National Champions in Three-Position Rifle, Men’s Air Pistol and Women’s Air Pistol at Pool Range Complex in Fort Benning, Georgia. Most notable was the dominating way in which each of them climbed to the top of the podium. Margins of victory of 15, 19 and 24 points, earning national titles before the Finals, and yet coming out and dominating their Finals as well with nothing really on the line.
Capturing Junior National Titles in those events were Katie Zaun (North Dakota), Luke Simon(Fargo, North Dakota) and Sarah Choe (Bridge Jr./Los Angeles, California).
The lone Paralympic final Wednesday was the P3 Air Pistol event and it would feature two U.S. medalists with YanXiao Gong (Bridge Jr./South Pasadena, California) earning a silver medal and Marco De La Rosa (San Antonio, Texas) the bronze medal. It was Gong’s first Paralympic event and his second-place result earned him Para Team status.
In Three-Position Rifle, Thrasher used a U.S. record 1181 on Day 1 to set the pace and then followed that with a strong 1175 on Day 2 to claim a 10-point advantage over the two Qualification matches. By winning the Final, she earned eight extra points towards her score. Thrasher wouldn’t claim the Finals lead until the last position of standing. Zaun was the Finals leader after the first position of kneeling while Rachel Garner (Celina, Texas) would have the lead after the kneeling portion of the match.
“My performance this week feels like a lot of hard work paying off and gave me a lot of confidence in my positions and mindset going into Pan Ams next month,” Thrasher stated. “I’m really excited to keep working and improving as I move to the Olympic Training Center to continue as a professional athlete.”
Sarah Beard (U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit/Danville, Indiana) finished second with a strong showing as well with a match-high 67 center-10s throughout the match. Finishing third was the reigning NCAA Smallbore National Champion from Texas Christian University, Elizabeth Marsh(Searcy, Arkansas).
It was a war of attrition for the 16-year-old Zaun as the lone junior to make the Open final only to have to turn right around and compete in the junior Final on a hot, muggy day in Fort Benning, Georgia. Having built a 10-point cushion in Qualification, the Final proved inconsequential, but she still wound up finishing third in both. West Virginia University junior Sarah Osborn (Hampton, Virginia) finished second while Emily Stith (USAMU/Jacksonville, Florida) wound up third.
Don’t let the 19-point margin of victory for Mowrer fool you on how hard he worked to create the type of separation he did. Despite outshooting the field by 16 over the two Qualification matches including a top-notch 581 on Day 2 and a combined 13 more center-10s than anyone else, Mowrer admitted he never did get a good feel for what he was seeing in the sights. Scary to think what he might do when he does.
“Today and yesterday was hard work, terrifying in fact,” Mowrer explained. “Terrifying because the sights were not giving me the feedback I wanted to stay warm and fuzzy. The hard work was sticking to the process and being disciplined to put the gun down. Also, staying on my sights and having the confidence that no matter how scary, the shot was going to be in the middle was a real challenge; it was not fun. There have only been a few days that I would say that, because I love how fun shooting is. This however was work and the rewarding part is that my training allowed me to get rewarded for that work.
“Moving forward, this competition was a good stepping stone and confidence builder moving into the Pan American Games and later World Cup Rio,” he added. “Hard work is far from over, but the training is working so I’ll keep working hard and with any luck it will get easier as confidence builds.”
Finishing second to Mowrer was 2016 Olympian Jay Shi (Phoenix, Arizona) with Anthony Lutz(Orient, Ohio) earning a spot on the National Team with a bronze-medal performance. Senior champion was Konstantine Pistoulis.
Four junior competitors made the Men’s Air Pistol Open Final including 17-year-old Hunter Battig(NTC/Colorado Springs, Colorado), who finished second to Mowrer. After finishing just one point away from third in Open, Simon would walk away with the National Junior title by an eight-point margin over another Open finalist, The Ohio State University’s Sam Gens (Andover, Massachusetts). Paul Kang (Bridge Jr./Los Angeles, California) finished third after prevailing in a shoot-off against Battig, 10.4 to 8.4. High J2 was Battig while Remington Smith (Ashburn, Georgia) claimed the high J3 score.
Readily admitting her struggles in Air Pistol, Lagan got her groove back in a big way, opening the competition with a big-time score of 581, which is a new national record, eclipsing any previous score by seven points. Her 577 Wednesday would have been the high national mark as well since women have been shooting 60 shots in Air Pistol since 2018. That accuracy meant she’d walk into Finals with a 22-point advantage and then she’d put the finishing touches on a dominating performance with the Finals win.
“Air pistol has been such a struggle for me the lately,” Lagan admitted. “I have been working with Jason [Turner – coach] and Raymond [Pryor – sports psych] to find a strategy to get over this slump, and I think we have had a major breakthrough with this match. I’m looking forward to applying these notes in my preparation for Olympic Trials.”
The junior Choe would finish second to Lagan in the Open match after a shoot-off with Sandra Uptagrafft (Phenix City, Alabama) after they were tied following the Final. Choe would then secure a nine-point margin of victory over Katelyn Abeln (Douglasville, Georgia) to capture the junior title as well. Ada Korkhin (Brookline, Massachusetts) was third while Caitlyn Yi andAnnabell Yi (Irvine, California) earned high J2 and J3 honors.
First-day competition took place in Men’s Air Rifle and Rapid Fire Pistol. Tim Sherry(USAMU/Highlands Ranch, Colorado) is working on getting himself another national title after already picking one up in Three-Position Rifle. He shot a strong 629.3 to open up a 2.4 point advantage over 2016 Olympian Lucas Kozeniesky (Fairfax, Virginia). Junior competitor Matt Sanchez (Tampa, Florida) sits in third, but by just .1 points over Jean-Pierre Lucas (Oxford, Missippi).
With a 584 on the day, Keith Sanderson (Colorado Springs, Colorado) jumped out to a four-point lead in Men’s Rapid Fire Pistol over his two-time Olympic teammate Emil Milev (Hilliard, Ohio).Henry Leverett (Bainbridge, Colorado), who earned an Olympic Quota earlier this year, is third with a 578, one point ahead of his brother Jack. Those events will conclude Thursday.

Hope everyone is looking forward to a 4th of July with a little grilling time and some fireworks? I sure am, and I hope you all have a great 4th.
Well it’s Friday once more and time for our weekly shoot the shit. If you’ve been watching the Democrat debates, you need a shoot the shit to keep you from running to a therapist but remember that a therapist is someone who studied psychology so they could understand themselves. Save your money, put the smart phone down forget Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and have a good shoot the shit with your buds, co-workers or family.
Shoot the shit participants don’t need to know anything about the topic discussed and they can comment without supporting detail, they can use uncensored profanity, insult anyone they wish or change the subject altogether.
Round one of the Democrat Debates had some memorable moments, when BETO and Julian Castro decided to speak in Spanish. Mind you these are candidates for the Presidency of the United States of America in a public debate.
I guess they didn’t want to be outdone by Pete Buttigieg.
Now, imagine any of these three gentlemen in the White House. That’s why you need to have a Shoot the Shit!
Have a great weekend, be safe and spend some quality time with your buds and family.

Additionally, the company has authorized a special suggested retail price for these select 100 guns of only $1,049.
Manufactured by Ithaca in a joint and exclusive effort with Inland Manufacturing, this Ithaca Model 37 “trench gun” is faithful to the lethal original from its bead sight, Parkerized finish, oiled wood stock, ventilated hand guard to its robust lug for the long 1917 bayonet (not included).
The receiver is CNC-machined from a solid block of steel and features the same military markings as the original. Also like the original, it loads and ejects through the bottom of the receiver.
For those who want an authentically reproduced very limited edition combat shotgun with D Day commemorative cartouche and certificate of authenticity, this special priced Ithaca Model 37 is a great choice.
Specifications:
Produced in limited numbers during WWII, the Model 37 production stopped in 1945. The Vietnam War really reignited the need for large numbers of combat shotguns and Ithaca started building Model 37s again beginning in 1962. Initially made for the Vietnamese military, the Model 37 proved so effective in jungle fighting it was contracted for our military and models like the current Inland/Ithaca version were produced throughout the war.
The Model 37 was generally found with some elite units such as Navy SEALs and Army Green Berets. The Model 37 was especially handy for Marine Corps Corpsmen (actually Navy medics called Corpsmen by the Marines) and others in various support roles on the battlefield where quick, fight-stopping high-hit probability shots and total reliability were critical while the operator performed his primary mission task.
Out of production since 1975, the Ithaca Model 37 is now back and every bit as mean-looking and effective as it was in WWII , Korea and the jungles of Vietnam. The Model 37 has proved to be a serious fight stopper in combat since WWII and a fun gun to use recreationally, hunting or for self-defense for over 75 years–especially for those wanting an authentic looking piece of combat firearm history.

At the request of their customers, the Texas manufacturer of high-end, compact handguns rolls out their most affordable models yet.
![]()

Granbury, TX (June 25, 2019) – Bond Arms®, located in the small town of Granbury in the heart of Texas, is known for making some of the finest, compact handguns available today. They are a favorite among collectors, concealed carry practitioners and anyone who appreciates a superiorly made firearm. But to deliver such quality also costs and over time, the company has been approached by fans who have asked if there was any way to make a more affordable Bond Arms® handgun. Never ones to disappoint, the team at Bond Arms went to work, and their answer to the request is the new Rough Series handguns featuring two models-the Roughneck™ and the Rough N Rowdy™.
The Roughneck™ is a single-action double barrel 9mm pistol with a stainless-steel finish and black rubber grips. It comes with fixed sites and the same quality push-button cross-bolt safety and rebounding hammer used in their high-end models. The trigger guard is removable.
The Rough N Rowdy™ is a single-action double barrel pistol chambered for .45 Colt and 2½-inch .410 shells. It features a stainless-steel finish, black rubber grips and fixed sites along with the same push-button cross-bolt safety and rebounding hammer. The trigger guard is also removable. Interchangeable barrels are available for both models.
The Roughneck™ retails for $269 and the Rough N Rowdy™ has an MSRP of $299, both are by far the lowest price models in the Bond Arms® family of handguns despite being manufactured with the same quality materials and components that are used in their highest end models. So how did they do it?
Bond Arms® engineers intensively reviewed the processes used to build their firearms detail by detail. Their goal was to determine the minimum amount of finishing needed to create a handgun in order to take less time to manufacture and thus less costly to create. Of course, a rougher finish was inevitable. On a high-end firearm, much of the cost comes from the time spent finishing the gun-sanding out swirly marks and rough areas inherent in the machining process and hiding seams where parts fit together such as where the metal frame joins the trigger guard. The one thing the handguns still needed to do, however, was they had to have the same safe, reliable operation all Bond Arms® handguns are known for, and they still had to be comfortable to shoot.
“The rough finish adds quite a cool factor to the Roughneck™ and the Rough N Rowdy™,” says Dylan Hunsucker, spokesman for Bond Arms®. “We do minimal clean-up and deburr to ensure there are no sharp edges, and then we bead blast the finish. There is no sanding and polishing of the frame, which takes enormous amounts of time and adds to the cost of our higher-end firearms. The final product is that you can see the parting lines in the frame and trigger guard as well as some of the tool marks on the barrels and casting imperfections in the frame. It gives each one its own unique rough and tumble look.”

The Estonian Army will be supplied with SPIKE LR ATGM’s, launchers and associated maintenance and training
June 24, 2019 – In a ceremony last week in Tallinn, Estonia, the Estonian MoD signed a 40M Euro Framework agreement with Eurospike (a European Joint Venture between Rafael Advanced Defence Systems, Diehl Defence and Rheinmettal Defence) for the supply of SPIKE LR ATGM’s, launchers and associated maintenance and training.
The contract included ICLU (Integrated Control Launch Units) launchers and live SPIKE rounds.
SPIKE is a cutting-edge precise, multi-platform, multi-mission and multi-range electro-optical missile Family, with capabilities of fire-and-forget, as well as fire, observe and update, allowing attack of hidden targets.
Estonia is the 32nd user nation of the SPIKE missile, and the 19th user among the EU and NATO. More than 30,000 SPIKE missiles have been supplied to-date around the world, with over 5500 SPIKE missiles firings, both in training and in combat.
The SPIKE missile and launcher cross-nation commonality enables nations to manage joint SPIKE missile stocks, create joint procurement and maintain mutual support. In combination with local production within Europe by local SME’s, SPIKE is a truly common European missile.
Mr. Günter Lauer, EUROSPIKE Managing Director: “We are thankful to the Estonian army for their confidence in the SPIKE missile. Miramar, Fla. (June 2019) – Tasmanian Tiger®, a tactical nylon line of products distributed exclusively for the US market by Proforce Equipment, Inc., is proud to announce that the TT Modular Pack 45+ received an overall score of 4.43 from the National Tactical Officers Association Member Tested and Recommended Program. “We at Tasmanian Tiger are very pleased with the outcome of the NTOA review,” Richard Lewis, President and CEO of Proforce Equipment, Inc., said, “Unlike any other product review, NTOA reviews come from LEO’s using our product in the field. The feedback is invaluable to our continuous evolution of products for first responders.”
As the officer from Delaware summarized, “The Tasmanian Tiger Modular Pack 45+ is proficiently designed with versatility, storage and functionality in mind, is available in a variety of colors and is limited only by the imagination of the owner.”
The backpack is built on Tasmanian Tiger’s V2 Plus Carrying System, a size-adjustable system designed for medium to heavy loads. The versatility of the V2 Plus system allows the user to detach the hip strap in order to carry while wearing a fully-packed plate carrier or chest rig. An added benefit is that the detachable hip strap can be conveniently worn separately as a “warrior belt.” The reviewing officers all commented on the adjustability, fit, comfort and security of the pack while worn.
The Illinois officer who rated the pack first noticed how it was designed to fit a multiplicity of uses, “I noticed aspects of a hiking pack, medical aid bag, weapons transportation and MOLLE attachments, literally everywhere.” The TT Modular Pack 45+ has a removable lid compartment and laser-cut MOLLE on the sides and front allowing limitless versatility in outfitting the backpack for any mission or recreational activity. Modularity is consistent with the MOLLE hook-and-loop on the inside, 3 hook-and-loop accessory pouches, hook-and-loop weapon and hook-and-loop strips.
Additionally, the TT Modular Pack 45+ is designed to be extremely rugged. The officers all ran the pack through a variety of durability tests including running over the pack multiple times with a truck, dragging it behind a truck, and mud and water tests. The officer from Florida said, “I really did try to render it unusable, but in my opinion, it passed with flying colors.” The TT Modular Pack 45+ is made from CORDURA® 700 den (Multicam 500 den) for years of use and abuse. MSRP is $359.00 – $379.00 and it is available in Multicam, Black, Olive or Coyote.

Galco Gunleather’s new StukOn-U™ pocket holster builds on Galco’s decades of experience with pocket holsters. Its Gripper Shell™ exterior helps the holster grab the inside of the pocket, while the closed-cell foam substrate gives the holster shape and sturdiness. Finally, a layer of 420 denier packcloth lines the holster to both protect the handgun and smooth the draw.
The StukOn-U is designed for front pocket carry in pants or a jacket. It keeps the firearm in the same general position so the grip can be quickly located during draw, conceals the shape of the gun so that its outline is not printed through the pants, and allows one-handed release of gun from both pocket and holster, especially when using a “hooking” draw technique to catch the trigger-guard edge of the holster on the pocket as the handgun is released. The holster’s Gripper Shell surface assists in keeping the holster in the pocket during the draw.
Pocket carry offers some unique advantages. Not only is the handgun completely covered and concealed, but the gun carrier can casually place a hand on the holstered/pocketed pistol if a nonspecific threat materializes – and the fastest draw is to have the gun already in hand.
The StukOn-U helps accomplish multiple concealed carry tasks with excellent discretion – and at the very reasonable retail price of $27!

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – June 24, 2019 – Viridian Weapon Technologies is showcasing the FACT Duty™ Weapon-Mounted Camera (WMC™) at the 33rd annual Police Security Expo in Atlantic City from June 25-26. The expo will give law enforcement personnel an opportunity to experience Viridian’s critical evidence-gathering camera and join more than 500 U.S. departments that have used the WMC in signing up for a no-cost Testing & Evaluation program. Attendees are encouraged to visit Viridian at booth #1149 to discuss the T&E and implementation program, take advantage of an exclusive show special and attend informative seminars presented by Viridian’s own Law Enforcement Director, Kevin Skalicky, and Chief Legal Officer, Matthew Plowman, at 12:30 p.m. in room #317 both days to learn more about the necessity of the WMC for any law enforcement agency.
“This is Viridian’s second time exhibiting at the Police Security Expo, and we’re honored to be hosting a seminar this year to share more about the popular weapon-mounted recording technology and our team’s expertise in the area of mobile video evidence,” said Viridian President and CEO Brian Hedeen. “The FACT Duty WMC gives our friends in law enforcement a truly unobstructed perspective that did not exist before. It’s designed to equip officers for situations they may face while on duty. The expo is a great opportunity to discuss the unique benefits and demonstrate firsthand why 500+ U.S. departments are in various stages of testing and implementing the WMC.”
FACT Duty WMC
The highly advanced FACT Duty WMC employs a 1080p full-HD digital camera with a microphone and 500 lumen tactical light. This distinctive weapon-mounted camera provides a clear view of critical use-of-force events from the end of the firearm, addressing limitations officers can face with body cameras. Viridian’s proprietary INSTANT-ON® technology automatically activates the camera and microphone whenever the officer draws the firearm from its holster. Not only does this eliminate risk of failure to manually turn on the camera during a critical event, it also keeps the officer from fumbling with cumbersome equipment. Body and dash cameras were not designed to capture officer-involved shootings. However, Viridian WMCs were designed specifically for use-of-force incidents when the officer’s gun is drawn.
At the 2019 Police Security Expo, eligible booth visitors who officially enroll in the no-cost T&E program will receive a free Tactical Backpack while supplies last. This show special is an exclusive token of appreciation for qualified T&E sign-ups during the conference.
More information on FACT Duty WMCs and other Viridian sighting solutions can be found online.

NEWINGTON, N.H., (June 20, 2019) –SIG SAUER, Inc. congratulates Team SIG Captain Max Michel on his two first place finishes in European competition. At the European Steel Challenge Championship, Max placed first in the Open Division held May 30 – June 1 in Winterswijik, Netherlands, and at the Infinity Open, he placed first in the Production Optics Division held June 7-9 in Phillippsburg, Germany.

“As Max begins to prepare to defend his titles at the IPSC World Shoot in 2020, it’s great to see him go into these European competitions and come away with first place finishes,” said Tom Taylor, Chief Marketing Officer, and Executive Vice President Commercial Sales, SIG SAUER, Inc. “His performances continue to dominate across the various divisions he competes in and his ability to compensate for various styles of shooting, depending on the match, is really impressive.”
For competition Max used a SIG 1911MAX at the European Steel Challenge, and a SIG P320X5 at the Infinity Open. In both competitions he used the soon-to-be-released ROMEO3MAX, and SIG SAUER 9mm Match Elite Competition Ammunition.
“The IPSC style of shooting is very different in the fact that they use a target which is 30% smaller and a different shape than the USPSA target that I am accustomed to. The courses are also formatted in a way that accuracy is more heavily weighted that raw speed unlike U.S. matches,” added Michel. “Overall, despite the differences in style, I accomplished everything I wanted to and my SIG equipment was a huge factor in elevating my performance to these first place finishes.”
The ROMEO3MAX used by Max Michel in competition is a compact, open reflex sight featuring a 30mm Max round lens design for superior field-of-view, a special red-notch filter for a vivid red dot and unrivaled optical clarity, 6 MOA dot size for rapid target engagement, twelve illumination intensity levels, MOTAC activation, and up to 20,000 hours of runtime. The sight is machined from aircraft grade aluminum in a matte black finish, with a side-loading battery tray, and waterproof (IPX-7 rated).
The SIG SAUER Match Elite Pistol Competition Ammunition used by Max Michel at the European Steel Challenge and Infinity Open is available for purchase at sigsauer.com/store.

SMYRNA, Ga. – Jun 20, 2019 GLOCK, Inc. is pleased to announce the transition of Allentown Police Department in Pennsylvania to GLOCK.
With a population over 120K, Allentown, Pennsylvania is the 3rd largest city in Pennsylvania and also houses the Allentown Police Academy, which supports the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Over 2,850 officers from 187 different municipalities have been trained at the Allentown Police Academy.
Allentown Police Department has transitioned to the GLOCK 19 Gen5 after extensive testing and evaluation to replace their previous Sig Sauer pistols after 12 years.
“Our old service firearm was heavy, outdated and became difficult to train with so we researched alternatives,” said Chief of Police, Tony Alsleben. “Glock consistently scored the highest reviews among our law enforcement partners. We were beyond thrilled with the results. Our qualification scores increased exponentially and our officers quickly became proficient with the GLOCK. Feedback from our officers has been 100% positive. I highly recommend this firearm for all law enforcement agencies,” Chief Alsleben continued.
The Gen5 pistols are a variation of the M pistol selected by the FBI. GLOCK combined the historical reliability and trust in the brand with precisely engineered design changes to meet the demand of consumers world-wide. Among the design enhancements are the GLOCK Marksman Barrel (GMB), which delivers increased accuracy with enhanced polygonal rifling and an improved barrel crown, the removal of finger grooves, an ambidextrous slide-stop lever for better versatility and control, and an nDLC finish which is exclusive to the GLOCK manufacturing process.
“Really what it comes down to is that GLOCK produces reliable, efficient, effective, and user friendly product,” said Officer Michael Yetter, Training Officer with the Allentown Police Academy. “I believe that GLOCK is one of the most Law Enforcement friendly companies that I have had the pleasure in dealing with.” Officer Yetter has begun using the GLOCK 19 Gen5 at the Academy and has seen an increase in qualification scores since transitioning to GLOCK. “The same shooters that had lower qualifications with the previous pistols are now shooting near perfect scores, many as first time GLOCK shooters.” Said Yetter.
“GLOCK is excited to welcome the men and women of Allentown PD to the growing GLOCK family and values the trust they have placed in our pistols,” said GLOCK, Inc. VP Josh Dorsey. “We recognize the time and effort they have placed on evaluating what pistol is the best choice for the agency and could not be more grateful for the partnership. We look forward to providing continued customer service and support to those who go into harm’s way.”

This week, Paul Levy has a lot of new products to show us, starting with the Qube Compensator from CGS Suppressors for 9mm Glock® pistols. The way it blends neatly with the blocky Glock slide is frosting on the cake. As Paul shows us, what really takes the cake is how easy the Qube is to install and “time” correctly. Everybody wants a Ruger® 10/22 Takedown®, but what if you have a perfectly good standard 10/22®? Pro Mag’s Archangel Takedown Stock lets you turn it into a true, very compact takedown 10/22®. Next, Paul has Romanian milsurp Tokarev TT-33 pistols of 1950s vintage (7.62x25mm, of course). Say “spasiba” to M+M Industries for the nice refurb job and the “I can’t believe it’s for real” price (it is!). Also at a sweet price, our new Brownells line of stainless steel barrels for Glock® pistols. You can get threaded, unthreaded, and even .40 S&W to 9mm conversion models. Finally, the BRN-601 Retro PVC Patch from Kitfox Design has Velcro® backing so you can stick it on your bag and tell the world who makes your favorite Retro Rifle™!

It’s Friday once more – it seems like Friday comes around every week doesn’t it? It’s also time to think about the weekend BBQ, range session or just kicking back and relaxing, well deserved I might add. It’s also time for our shoot the shit.
Here are my concerns centered around both items.
Iran’s geopolitical goal is to be the tail that wags the Middle East dog, make no mistake about that. Iran, fully understands that endangering the region puts them in the same position as North Korea, I’ll explain. The North Koreans are not concerned about military action against their regime because they have a huge arsenal pointed at South Korea’s head. No government will dare do anything that is either meaningful or effective to North Korea because it endangers NOKO’s hostage, SOKO. Iran is attempting the same business model. They are already in Iraq, they’ve been in Syria for years, they are now in Yemen via the Houthis (who have attacked Saudi facilities like the airport and power plant), and they are an extension of Iran’s military.
Standing in the way of further Iranian expansion is Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Israel; Kuwait, Qatar and Oman lack the military capabilities to be a significant deterrent to Iran.

On Thursday, our U.S. Senate, voted to deny weapon sales to Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Jordan amounting to roughly $6 billion. You’ll have to pardon my candor when I describe the action as a vulgar display of ignorance, but stupidity may be the more appropriate accolade. So…
Q. Why did the U.S. Senate vote down the sale?
A. Driving that decision was the assassination of a Washington Post journalist and activist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul. The U.S. Senate is also concerned about Saudi Arabia’s alleged indiscriminate bombing of Yemeni civilians (in what is a classic asymmetric theater mind you! ).
Analysis of the Senates action:
By denying weapons to Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Jordan you are denying the very countries that will stand against further Iranian expansion, the ability to do so effectively. Thereby ensuring the very same U.S. involvement they don’t want to see happen; not to mention the very real possibility that they’ll buy weapons from Russia, like Turkey has done.
As tragic and heinous as Jamal Khashoggi’s murder was, it’s been concluded by a number of intelligence services that Prince Mohammad bin Salman gave the execution order. Now, think about what I’m going to say next. Should Germany, France, Israel or the UK deny weapon sales to the United States because a government official murders a journalist, or anyone else for that matter? Probably not!
So, I sincerely hope President Trump VETO’s the bill.
As to Iran, inaction is precisely the wrong thing to do. I call your attention to Operation House of Cards, 10 May 2018, against Iranian forces in Syria. Not a lot has happened to Israel other than Iran is not launching rockets at Israel from Syria. If Iran, is allowed to destabilize the Arabian Peninsula or hold them hostage you can kiss-off any negotiating leverage with Iran. The global economy is at stake. And, if you don’t believe that take a look at the spike in oil prices at Thursday’s market.
Remember that a shoot the shit is social interaction in which participants don’t need to know anything about the subject, you’re allowed to make any unsupported statement that you wish, use uncensored profanity, insult anyone you wish or change the subject at any time. It’s far better to participate in a shoot the shit than it is to pay a jackass that studied psychology so they could understand themselves $150+ per hour.
Have a great weekend, be safe and spend some quality time with your buds and family.

LE BOURGET, France, June 19, 2019 – Boeing [NYSE: BA] and Nammo today signed a teaming agreement to jointly develop and produce the next generation of extended range artillery projectiles. The strategic agreement will leverage the companies’ combined expertise in guided munitions, projectiles and ramjet propulsion to provide a superior, affordable capability for the United States and its partners and allies.
“Boeing is a world leader in precision guided munitions and Nammo is a world leader in projectiles and propulsion. We look forward to building a best in class industry team that will deliver operational capability and industrial value to both countries,” said Maria Laine, vice president, International Strategic Partnerships for Boeing Defense, Space & Security.
The partnership is a result of the growing need by U.S. and allied forces to address the range gap between their own artillery systems and those operated by potential adversaries. Today the U.S. Army ranks the introduction of long range precision fires as its highest acquisition priority, with several allied countries also showing interest in acquiring similar capabilities.
“We are really pleased to have partnered with Boeing, and together we have assembled a world-class group of engineers that will help us meet these new requirements,” said Morten Brandtzæg, Nammo President & CEO. “Boeing and Nammo also have highly complementary skill sets that will allow us to complete development far faster and more efficiently than each of us could have done on our own.”
The work will be performed by Nammo’s development team at Raufoss in Norway and by Boeing’s Phantom Works advanced research division in St. Charles, Mo. In addition to delivering a revolutionary new capability, Boeing’s investment into the 25-year agreement will also support the company’s industrial participation plan related to the acquisition of five P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft by the Royal Norwegian Air Force in 2017.
The Boeing-Nammo project is supported by both the Norwegian and U.S. governments and meets the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency industrial participation criteria for the P-8.
Nammo is an international aerospace and defense company headquartered in Norway. With 2400 staff spread across more than 30 sites and offices in 13 countries, Nammo is one of the world’s leading providers of ammunition, rocket motors and demilitarization services for both military and civilian customers.
