Combining Tasmanian Tiger’s high-quality tactical packs and accessories with the latest camouflage pattern expressly developed for top-tier law enforcement units, Tasmanian Tiger® offers LEO’s 12 products with the new TT MultiCam Black™ pattern.

Miramar, Fla. (December 2019) – Tasmanian Tiger®, a tactical nylon line of products distributed exclusively for the US market by Proforce Equipment, Inc., proudly announce the addition of MultiCam Black™ packs, bags, pouches and accessories to complement their line of product for law enforcement.

The MultiCam Black camouflage pattern was designed to complement an LEO’s existing gear while operating in high-risk scenarios. The design is based on traditional combat camo and the interplay of lighting conditions frequently found in more urban settings.

The new MultiCam Black products include several packs. The Tasmanian Tiger’s TT Essential Pack L MK II is an adjustable daypack with a MOLLE system on the front and sides for additional pouches and is hydration system compatible. The TT Mission Pack MKII is a 37-liter combat style backpack with a cut MOLLE system, a padded back carrying system, several compartments and pockets, and adjustable for a hydration system, radio and a personalized fit for all-day comfort while carrying. Another MultiCam Black combat style backpack is the TT Modular Pack 30 with a lid pocket laser-cut MOLLE on the front and sides. Very versatile, the Modular Pack 30 features plenty of options to carry gear and has a hook and loop weapon holster included. The final MultiCam Black TT backpack is the universal deployment TT Modular Pack 45+ with 45-liters of configurable space and a removable hip belt that can be used separately as a Warrior Belt. The NTOA Member Tested and Recommended Program Silver Score winning TT Modular Pack 45+ is totally adjustable and built on the TT V2 Plus Carrying System for incredible comfort while carrying a heavy gear load. Lots of MOLLE hook and loop features on the inside for limitless configurations and includes three hook and loop accessory pouches and a hook and loop weapon holster.

The new MultiCam Black collection includes five accessory pouches: the TT EDC Pouch, TT TAC Pouch 1 Vertical, TT TAC Pouch 4 Horizontal, the TT TAC Pouch 5 and 7 and also the TT Wallet with RFID read protection. For carrying concealed, the TT Hip Bag offers a choice of being worn around the waist with an adjustable waistband and EZ clip or it can be worn directly on the belt with loops. The final new item offered in MultiCam Black is the TT Tote Bag with a detachable key holder and a concealed zip-up pocket on the backside, perfect for last-minute gear.

Madrid, November 25, 2019.- Under the direction of the Spanish Ministry of Defense, Indra is leading the development of what will be the most advanced electronic protection system in the world. European manned and unmanned combat air units will depend on this capacity to carry out their missions safely in hostile territory and will achieve superiority in the electromagnetic spectrum.

The project is led by Spain with the participation of France, Italy, Germany and Sweden. These five countries collaborate within the EU Permanent Cooperation Structure (PESCO), a formula that allows partner countries to sign agreements to move forward quickly in their defense integration.

The latest generation of air defense systems will make it impossible for a combat aircraft to fly in their protected area without an electronic protection system such as this one.

The technology that will be developed by Indra within the consortium formed by top European defense companies will strengthen the safety of aircraft involved in international, surveillance on EU territory or cross-border cooperation missions.

The new system will be inter-operable with the military assets available in NATO countries for operations taking place simultaneously in multiple theaters: land, sea, air, space and cyberspace.

The project will cover the design, development and proof-of-concept of the capability to interfere in multiple ways with enemy electromagnetic systems, thus covering a wide frequency spectrum. This includes individual jamming capability, joined jamming capability with other platforms and jamming in escort mode.

It will be based on existing state-of-the-art technologies currently available within the European industry, including cyberelectro-magnetic capabilities.

The system will follow a modular, scalable and flexible development to facilitate its integration, both integrated into the avionics of the platform and carried in external pods. This will guarantee compatibility with the different manned and unmanned aircraft used by allied countries.

The purpose of this system is to prepare an aerial platform to carry out missions such as suppressing enemy air defenses (SEAD), escorting other platforms, carrying out unconventional attacks and providing attack support.

“This is by far my favorite match of the season to shoot because I get to compete on my home turf, and experience the stages developed by the AMU as a professional competitor,” said Daniel Horner. “In the pistol competition the infallible accuracy and reliability of my P320 XFIVE gave me the edge I needed to win these stages, and in the rifle competition the SIG system consisting of the SIG rifle, optic, and ammo gave me a clear advantage over the competition for long-range targets.”

NEWTOWN, Conn. — With Giving Tuesday fast approaching on December 3, the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s^® firearms safety program, Project ChildSafe^®, is making supporters aware of its new donation interface, which now welcomes one of the most popular forms of giving — recurring donations. This year marks the 20th year for the Project ChildSafe program, the leading voice in genuine gun safety education. To recognize this milestone, Project ChildSafe is asking supporters to consider monthly giving to help achieve the collective goal of reducing firearms accidents and misuse.

Project ChildSafe helps create a culture of firearms safety for everyone, gun owners and non-gun owners alike, because safety is everyone’s responsibility. Securely storing firearms when not in use is the number one way to help prevent accidents, theft and misuse, including suicide. Safe storage works: Fatal firearms accidents have declined by 50 percent in the last 20 years and represent less than 1 percent of fatal accidents from all causes.

NEWINGTON, N.H., (November 22, 2019) – SIG SAUER, Inc. is proud to announce the delivery of the 100,000th M17 and M18 for the Modular Handgun System program to the U.S. Military, ahead of schedule, and surpassing the performance standards and requirements since the official contract award in January 2017.

SIG SAUER Delivers Milestone 100,000th M17 / M18 Handgun to U.S. Military

“In the month of October SIG SAUER exceeded our manufacturing requirements by thirty percent and delivered a record-setting 12,100 handguns to the U.S. Military to achieve this historic milestone for SIG SAUER and the MHS program,” began Ron Cohen, President & CEO, SIG SAUER, Inc. “With the strict accuracy and acceptance specifications that the M17 and M18 are continuously exceeding, it’s clear that the success of this program can be directly attributed to the reliability, durability, and accuracy of the handgun, which has resulted in the high demand for both the M17 and M18 from every branch of the U.S. Military.”

The M17 and M18 handguns are a 9mm, striker-fired, P320-based handgun platform, featuring coyote-tan PVD coated stainless steel slides with black controls and utilize both 17-round and 21-round magazines. The handguns are equipped with SIGLITE front night sights, removable night sight rear plates, and manual safeties. To date SIG SAUER has delivered M17 and M18 handguns to all branches of the U.S. Military and the U.S. Coast Guard.

“From the very beginning the MHS program has been a true partnership between SIG SAUER and the U.S. Army which has resulted in the overwhelming success of the program, and ensuring that the M17 and M18 handguns are entering service, and in the field with our military,” concluded Cohen.

Barrett 4050 receives NTIA certification

Perth, Western Australia, 25th November 2019 – Barrett Communications is pleased to announce the recent certification and approval from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).
The approval incorporates the Barrett 4050 HF Transceiver System and Components. This approval from NTIA now completes the interoperability approvals required to provide the Barrett Communications 4000 series transceiver range for HF users subject to NTIA rules. The Barrett 4050 system have previously obtained FCC parts 90 and 87 as well as JITC MIL-STD-188-141B approvals.
