2nd Notice Re: Hartley Class Action Resolution; P320 Voluntary Upgrade Program

Dear Valued Customers,

Below, please find information that is being forwarded again as part of the recent Hartley Agreement regarding Sig Sauer’s P320 upgrade program, which is available to all P320 pistol owners.  The below notice has been approved by the court as part of the resolution of a class action lawsuit.

This upgrade program has been available to all P320 owners since August 2017, and it remains available to all P320 owners who purchased their pistols before that date. The upgrade program is completely free of charge to all customers; SIG SAUER is even covering the cost of shipping and returning your P320 pistol to you!

Based on its own internal testing and input from various law enforcement, government and military customers, SIG SAUER modified the design of its P320 pistol to improve its safety, reliability and overall performance.  Specifically, the upgraded P320 has lighter internal components, including a new thinner-profile trigger and a lighter sear and striker.  These upgrades will enhance the protection against unintended discharges if the pistol is dropped.  Any unintended discharge, including a discharge from a dropped firearm, includes a risk of death or serious bodily injury to all those in the vicinity of the firearm.

Additionally, the upgraded P320 pistol includes a mechanical disconnector which provides an additional layer of protection against cartridge failure events.  A cartridge failure event can pose a risk of injury to the shooter or those in the immediate vicinity and can also cause damage to the firearm itself.  The addition of a mechanical disconnector also prevents a dead trigger if the trigger is pulled while the slide is retracted.

SIG SAUER is reaching out to remind P320 owners of this free upgrade program and to encourage all P320 owners who have not yet participated to take advantage of this program. Since SIG SAUER started the upgrade program, over a hundred thousand P320s have been upgraded. Customers that have taken advantage of the program have been extremely pleased with the enhanced performance, reliability and safety, and have appreciated the ease and turnaround time of this upgrade process.

SIG SAUER encourages all P320 owners whose pistols do not include the upgraded design to participate in the free upgrade program. For more information on the upgrade or how to participate in the program, please visit SIG SAUER’s website at https://www.sigsauer.com/support/p320-voluntary-upgrade/.

If you have additional questions or need help with the online registration please contact SIG SAUER Customer Service at (603) 610-3000 and select Option 1, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. through 5:30 p.m. EST.

Thank you for being a loyal SIG SAUER customer.

TNVC.com Is Open – COVID-19 Statement

To our valued customers,

Sorry to inundate you with yet another COVID-19 corporate e-mail, however due to the volume of questions about TNVC, INC.’s continued operations, we felt it necessary to make a statement regarding our operations during these unprecedented times.

BLUF: Tactical Night Vision Company will continue to be open during our normal business hours for the foreseeable future for both government and commercial sales and normal operations.

However, due to both unusually high volumes and current events nationwide and worldwide, please understand that it may take our staff longer than normal to respond to inquiries. Moreover, it is difficult to accurately predict exact lead times and delivery dates, and all quoted timelines are estimates only.

TNVC has never operated a public storefront, and our offices continue to be open to government personnel by appointment-only. Our normal tech support and customer service phone lines are continuing to operate, and ask that all commercial orders be placed through our website: https://tnvc.com

As a part of the Defense Industrial Base, identified as a Federal Critical Infrastructure Sector, TNVC, INC. is continuing to operate throughout this time, albeit at reduced in-person staffing levels at our main California HQ office. We have been fortunate during these current events that many of our employees already operate from remote offices located nationwide, limiting the severity of the disruptions to our operations, and our shipping and receiving, and build and assembly operations remain intact and operational.

Our Training and Education Team has halted all unnecessary travel and movements, and we will continue to assess and evaluate courses of action for our Night Fighter training classes and other events scheduled throughout the year as the situation develops. The Training and Education Team is currently evaluating additional efforts to continue our core mission of educating end-users and consumers under this new paradigm.

Due to the present unfortunate circumstances, we, like many other commercial vendors are experiencing unusually high volume and limited remaining stock and inventory at this time, however we are continuing to receive new shipments of inventory, restocking backordered items, and continuing to ship both government and commercial orders daily. We are adjusting some of our administrative procedures and we have brought on additional remote staff to augment our staff and accommodate the increased number of inquiries that we have been receiving. Nevertheless, please bear with us as we try to be as responsive as possible, and understand that there may be delays, however we will try to get back to everyone as soon as possible.

TNVC is a small, Veteran-Owned, and family-oriented company, and we have been doing everything we can to ensure the health and safety of both our employees and our customers, and I have personally spoken to every single one of our employees to ensure that they are all comfortable with the measures and courses of action we are taking. I am happy to say that our staff is dedicated and motivated to continuing our ongoing operations, even while they take all necessary precautions to safeguard themselves and their families during this time. I am truly fortunate to have our team and TNVC family as we all venture into uncharted waters together.

Thank you for your continued business, and all the best from the TNVC Family to you and yours during these trying times,

Victor DiCosola

President/CEO

Eurosatory 2020: Coronavirus update

eurosatory2020 - 210x40 Bandeau 1 gris

Following the evolution of the sanitary situation in France and in order to ensure the health and safety of the population, the President of the Republic decided to limit movement for all for 15 days beginning from March 17th, 2020.

COGES has taken these instructions into account and has implemented all the necessary measures to maintain the safety of its team and partners and to ensure the continuity of its services. All COGES staff are now in home offices and your preferred contact people remain the same. Phone and email details are unchanged, and we are all available to answer your questions.

We hope that this crisis will be as short as possible; nobody knows today how it will evolve. Currently, the organization of the Eurosatory exhibition from June 8 to 12, 2020 is maintained and we are working to prepare the exhibition carefully while ensuring the safety and protection of all participants. A decision concerning the holding of the trade fair or its cancellation will be taken by the end of April, in order to allow everyone to make the right arrangements.

Of course, we remain attentive to any directives from the Government and we will keep you informed in real-time of the evolution of the situation.

We hope that you and your relatives are in good health and we have a special thought for everyone affected by the virus.

A Look at Crimson Trace Weapon Mounted Lights Part II CWL-102 and CWL-202

IMG_20200222_153444_837

In Part I of this two part review, I covered the Crimson Trace CMR-208 and CMR-209 both excellent lights for use on any rail equipped platform but best suited for the accessory rail on your pistol; however, if you’re needing a light for your long gun, CTC offers tactical lights that can only be described as homeruns for your gun, they’re the CWL-102 and CWL-202.

ARLINGTON, VA – Following directives to avoid mass gatherings for public safety amid the Coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC) is canceled, the National Defense Industrial Association announces today.
NDIA manages SOFIC<
https://www.sofic.org/> for U.S. Special Operations Command; its annual event draws thousands of people from around the world to Tampa, Florida. The rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus and national efforts to stop it led NDIA and USSOCOM to decide not to hold this year’s event.
“NDIA and USSOCOM fully agree the safety and wellness of attendees and participants always are our utmost priority,” said Hawk Carlisle, NDIA’s president and CEO. “We look forward to this important annual gathering of the special operations community and the people and businesses that support them, surrounded by the warm welcome of Tampa. Further details on SOFIC are available on SOFIC.org<

NSSF, Retailers Emphasize Gun Safety as Sales Rise and Families Stay Home

NSSF The Firearms Industry Trade Association

NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®) and its partners urge gun owners to keep firearm safety a top priority and are making safety resources widely available as gun and ammunition sales increase, especially among first-time firearm purchasers.

“During this stressful time and with children spending more time at home, the firearm industry reminds gun owners that protecting yourself and your family includes making sure your firearms are stored securely when not in use,” said Joe Bartozzi, NSSF President and CEO. “The last thing any firearm owner wants is to have their gun fall into the wrong hands, particularly those of a child or someone at risk of harming themselves.”

NSSF is working with firearm retailers nationwide to ensure they discuss safe storage options with their customers, whether they are new to gun ownership or experienced. Although safety is something firearm retailers regularly talk about with their patrons, the reminder by NSSF comes at a time when retailers across the country are extremely busy due to rising interest in firearm ownership.

For anyone considering buying a gun, Project ChildSafe®’s “Road To Responsible Firearm Ownership” tool discusses the basic safety steps a gun owner can take to ensure responsible ownership. Project ChildSafe’s “Many Paths to Firearm Safety” video series can also help gun owners understand how to determine the best safe storage device for their lifestyle, as can this Safe Storage Options infographic.

NSSF encourages gun owners and non-gun owners to use the library of firearm safety resources available on its Project ChildSafe website. These include the McGruff Gun Safety videos for young children and an educational video for parents on how to discuss gun safety with children of all ages.

“More parents are assuming the role of educators in their homes, so it’s a good to time have a talk with your kids about gun safety, even if you don’t own a gun,” Bartozzi said. “If you do own a firearm, be sure your family understands the safety rules regarding firearms in your home, and always store guns responsibly when not in use.”

Although the number of fatal firearm accidents is at historic lows, such accidents are almost always preventable. Proper firearm storage is the #1 way to help prevent accidents, as well as deter thefts. Secure storage can also play a role in helping to prevent access by persons going through a difficult time.

Since 2017, NSSF has partnered with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to educate gun owners about mental wellness and suicide prevention. In this recent blog post, AFSP discusses taking care of one’s mental health during times of uncertainty.

In addition, AFSP and NSSF have developed a Suicide Prevention toolkit to help firearm retailers, shooting range operators and their customers understand risk factors and warning signs related to suicide, know where to find help and encourage secure firearm storage.

Anyone needing help for themselves or others can call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK or contact the crisis text line by texting TALK to 741741.

For more information on firearm safety, please visit ProjectChildSafe.org.

About Project ChildSafe

NSSF, the trade association of the firearm industry, launched Project ChildSafe in 1999 (originally as Project HomeSafe). Since 1999, the program has provided more than 38 million free firearm safety kits and gun locks to firearm owners in all 50 states through partnerships with thousands of law enforcement agencies across the country. That’s in addition to the more than 70 million free locking devices manufacturers have included, and continue to include, with new firearms sold since 1998. While helping to prevent accidents among children is a focus, Project ChildSafe is intended to help adults practice greater firearm safety in the home. More information is available at projectchildsafe.org.

About NSSF

The National Shooting Sports Foundation is the trade association for the firearm industry. Its mission is to promote, protect and preserve hunting and the shooting sports. Formed in 1961, NSSF has a membership of thousands of manufacturers, distributors, firearm retailers, shooting ranges, sportsmen’s organizations and publishers nationwide. Our highest priority is to maintain the health and safety of our people, customers and suppliers, while meeting our service commitments. UPS has implemented a range of measures in line with World Health Organization guidance to minimise the risks for employees and customers.
These include:

  • Encouraging employees to familiarise themselves with information on COVID-19, and to consult with doctors immediately if they feel unwell
  • Informing employees about its symptoms and methods of prevention and detection; in particular, reminding employees of good hygiene practices such as regular hand washing and strict adherence to our social distancing guidelines
  • Expanding the use of home office and teleworking where operationally and technically feasible
  • Implementing an isolation period for employees who have returned from high risk areas

NDIA leads associations calling on Congress to cover contractors during COVID-19 response

image001

ARLINGTON, VA — With the COVID-19 virus response directing people to avoid contact and stay at home, Congress needs to give sound guidelines “to ensure the health and economic security” of thousands of federal government contractors who work alongside federal employees every day, the National Defense Industrial Association said in a March 19 letter<https://content.ndia.org/-/media/sites/press-media/arwg-letter-to-hill-on-equitable-adjustments-final-with-logos_19march.ashx?la=en>, one of 10 trade organizations urging action.
The letter, titled “Support to Government Contractors Unable to Access Federal Facilities During the COVID-19 Pandemic,” states that federal guidance has been inconsistent for how contractors should continue working through the Coronavirus response and voices concern for the need to implement fully compensable equitable adjustment certainty to help ensure companies are not forced to layoffs.
The letter calls for legislation to create certainty in Federal Acquisition Regulations governmentwide for telework, virtual work and equitable compensation for those who can’t access work sites or work remotely due to sensitive classifications during the pandemic.
As state and local governments close businesses in their individual jurisdictions, the letter asks Congress to consider an exemption for employees performing work deemed essential for national security, including defense, intelligence and aerospace development and manufacturing.
The letter includes suggested language for the legislation. It is addressed to House and Senate leaders and signed by the following:
* American Council of Engineering Companies
* Associated General Contractors of America
* Center for Procurement Advocacy
* U.S. Chamber of Commerce
* Commercial Spaceflight Federation
* CompTIA
* Information Technology Industry Council
* Intelligence and National Security Alliance
· National Defense Industrial Association

ANOKA, Minnesota – March 19, 2020 – For more than three decades, Realtree has been a pioneer in developing and licensing camouflage patterns and creating hunting content.  From its first pattern launch of real life, three dimensional patterns, Realtree took the concealment apparel market to new heights.  In the early stages of the company’s growth, Bill Jordan, Realtree founder, realized he needed to promote the brand himself to be successful.  One of the architects of those successful strategies, David Blanton, is on the “It’s Federal Season” podcast hotseat for this entertaining episode.

Episode No. 5 – The Influence of Realtree

https://www.federalpremium.com/podcast.html

“David Blanton has a great story to tell about the infancy of Realtree and the success that has followed since he and founder Bill Jordan met back in 1991,” says Jason Vanderbrink, President of Federal Ammunition.  The iconic television programming and marketing they developed vaulted Realtree’s brand image and camouflage patterns to be a household name today.  “Realtree shaped the way networks presented entertaining and aspirational hunting content on television,” says Jason Nash, Senior Marketing Director at Federal.  “Their videotape and DVD series are still popular, and they continue evolving with media consumption patterns with the launch of its own digital platform, of which Federal is a proud sponsor” says Nash.  Blanton adds some great perspective on what’s new with the brand, hottest patterns, and tells some personal stories that fit right in with “Funniest Home Videos.”

In the Tech Talk segment, Adam Moser, Sr. Manager of Product Development for shotshell ammunition walks us through the advantages of our Premium turkey loads with seasons opening around the United States.  Before signing off, find out what promotions are available for consumers and where consumers can meet with our ammunition team in the near future to talk all things ammunition.  Look for more information at www.federalpremium.com or where you find your favorite podcasts.

Montana Outdoor Group Announces Shutdown of Montana Rifle Company

The Montana Outdoor Group’s subsidiary “Montana Rifle Company” will seek fiscal restructuring.

Kalispell, Montana (March 2020) – Montana Outdoor Group, a private investor group, acquired Montana Rifle Company in early 2019, has announced its immediate closure pending fiscal restructuring.

“While sales of our popular calibers have been outstanding, production levels have not risen to a profitable level to continue, without additional investments,” CEO Calvin Bontrager explained. “New equipment would be required to reach a service level demanded by our dealers and conservation groups.”

Montana Rifle has been producing custom-grade rifles for nearly 25-years and has been awarded “NRA’s Gun of the Year” in 2016 and “NRA’s Gun of the Year” in 2018. Montana Rifle has also produced limited editions for California Waterfowl, SCI, RMEF, and many other conservation organizations.

“With sales of the popular M1999 control feed actions nearly doubling in 2019, Montana Outdoor Group, is actively searching for restructuring opportunities,” Bontrager continued.

NDIA’s Carlisle calls on Congress to protect contractors in COVID-19 response

image001

ARLINGTON, VA — With rising concern for the COVID-19 pandemic’s effect on the defense industrial base, NDIA’s Hawk Carlisle has asked Congress for actions that ensure businesses and contractors can keep working and keep national security intact.
Calling the Coronavirus crisis a threat the nation has not seen since World War II, Carlisle, president and CEO of the National Defense Industrial Association, asked House<
https://content.ndia.org/-/media/sites/press-media/covid19-letter-to-house.ashx?la=en> and Senate<https://content.ndia.org/-/media/sites/press-media/covid19-letter-to-senate.ashx?la=en> leaders in a March 19 letter for the following:
* Protect small businesses, which are at the greatest risk during the crisis. This would include accelerated payments, tax breaks and credits, and zero-interest loans in a timely fashion.
* Exempt contractors, as appropriate, from state and local orders that restrict facility access for businesses.
* Protect contractors and their employees should the government close an organization’s operations because of Coronavirus. Continue to pay contractors as it will government employees.
* Assure contracting authorities will excuse delays, entitle vendors to equitable adjustment of a contract price, and pay contractors on time when vendors confront challenges caused by the pandemic.
In declaring a national emergency, the administration activated some protections to defense contractors as provided by the Federal Acquisition Regulations. “However, it does not provide them protections for loss of pay due to delays caused by an epidemic or quarantine,” Carlisle said, “nor does it protect them if the supply chain is impacted by a global crisis.”
Non-compensable delays entitle contractors to a time extension but do not include monetary compensation, Carlisle said. “Cashflow is the life blood of companies and is necessary for them to pay their workforce,” he said, “which, in turn, protects the economy at large.”

The Only Thing We Have To Fear Is Fear Itself and Jackasses

Sorry for the motivational headline, I hope Franklin D. Roosevelt won’t mind my using it. For those who had to study through school rather than fingering their iPhone, this is what FDR had to say: “This great Nation will endure as it has endured, will revive and will prosper. So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself …” Thank God it’s Friday and what a week guys, I know that many of you are feeling stressed out. Part of the problem is the information overload amplified by a media that’s hoping COVID-19 kicks off a zombie apocalypse so that Donal Trump is not reelected. I can understand why you may want to sit with a psychologist but that individual could very well be the reason for the toilet paper shortage. Why would you pay $150 per hour to someone who majored in psychology because they couldn’t pass the Medical College Admissions Test (M.C.A.T.) or needed to understand themselves. What’s the solution? Have a shoot the shit and follow the very simple Center for Disease Control directives; they are, wash your hands regularly, limit social contact, wipe counter tops, door handles and door knob or any surfaces that you touch, disregard flamboyant speeches from politicians and chill out. So let’s shoot the shit!

First, there is no reason to hoard food. There is no shortage of food. Even if you are directed to stay at home, you will be allowed to get sunlight and procure food. FACT!

20200319_09300220200319_092956

Empty store shelves are self-inflicted, there is no logic or rational thought process that leads to this situation.

In the coming weeks, you’ll see an increasing number of COVID-19 infections this is not an indication that the virus is spreading, the numbers are rising because we now have the ability to test more people. So how do you insulate yourself and your family from this? Simple, follow the CDC directives and in the absence of toilet tissue wipe your ass with the crap you get from the media. Don’t let the hype get your sweat pumps shift into high speed. Having said that don’t take this situation lightly either. And, for God’s sake don’t listen to NYC’s ambulatory jackass De Blasio, I’ll guarantee you that Gov. Cuomo is privately calling De Blasio a stunato (an adjective derived from music meaning tone deaf but in the vernacular it means you’re stupid and out of touch).

Also note that the media is throwing around charts, comparative analytics, some of it based on what the Chinese are reporting, most of which is irrelevant, don’t let it overload your brain. Fox news for example, said that China’s population is 1.2 billion; however, based on the CIA’s fact book China’s population is 1,394,015,977 (July 2020 est.) how’s that for lackluster research. My point in telling you this is to get you to calm down and focus only on what the CDC is asking you to do, all else is background noise.

Your also hearing details of promising medications, here I have to complement President Trump and his administration in reinforcing that there is no data to support the alleged efficacy of the malaria treatment drug hydroxychloroquine and the blood pressure drug losartan. The COVID-19 virus is a single strand rna virus and it needs a host cell to replicate. It replicates by taking over the cell’s rna production process which is typically mitochondrial. These drugs don’t “kill” COVID-19 but they inhibit the viruses ability to control the host cell’s rna producing process and replicate. What is being suggested is to reinforce hydroxychloroquine with an antibiotic because it suppresses the immune system so you don’t want exposure to opportunistic diseases. Vaccines are the preferred route.

giphyOn the issue of toilet paper, WHAT GIVES FOLKS! COVID-19 is a respiratory pathogen, hoarding toilet paper only works if your head is in rectal storage. Who needs 10 packs of 24 rolls of Charming? I mean think about it people!

Readers, your adherence to the CDC guidelines will expedite a resolution to the COVID-19 problem and protect those with compromised immune systems like our elderly population, remember that they are someone’s grandma or grandpa and need your support. Stress levels will also take a toll on people so help someone relax even if you need to talk to them through a door, at a distance or by phone. They need the emotional support lest we see a surge in suicides, which is quite likely, especially if you have to sit through a De Blasio meeting.

The last thing I’d like to convey has to do with the increasing number of scams in difficult times such as these . If you get an email from a financial institution with a link pointing you to a site do not click on the link. Instead go directly to the institution’s web site. If you get an email from someone you know with a link pointing you to a site, do not click on the link, instead confirm its authenticity with your friend or acquaintance. The planet is full of miscreants, be suspicious of anyone offering to sell something others do not have available. Also, be on the lookout for individuals claiming to be tracking scammers, they’ll ask you to subscribe and provide financial support. The reality is that they couldn’t track their way out of a pay toilet.

Chill out folks, people are hard at work on your behalf and the country’s wellbeing. Have a calm and relaxing weekend, schedule your own shoot the shit even if you have it via Skype or a conference bridge.

Big Horn Armory President Greg Buchel to be interviewed on “Hooked on Oregon” radio show, featured on KWRO 630am 101.1 fm, on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at 3:35 pm PST.

Cody, Wyo. (March 2020)Big Horn Armory (BHA), makers of big-bore firearms, is pleased to announce that BHA President, Greg Buchel, will appear on “Hooked on Oregon” radio show, featured on KWRO 630am 101.1 fm, this Thursday, March 19, 2020, at 3:35 pm. PST. Buchel will be interviewed by host Cam Parry about BHA’s Model 89 500 S&W rifle.

Proudly built in the USA, the BHA Model 89 lever-action rifle in 500 W&W Magnum continues the rich legacy of American firearms design and development. Built from the ground-up and solidly engineered using the latest CNC technology, the Model 89 embodies the best of the old Model 86 and Model 92 lever-action in a modern platform capable of handling the powerful 500 S&W Magnum. Both rifle and carbine models are manufactured with 17-4 stainless steel precision machined and properly hardened to deliver consistent downrange performance and rugged in-the-field dependability.

The selected American black walnut stock and forend are fitted with integral front and stud rear sling swivel mounts. The pistol-grip buttstock has a one-inch recoil-taming pad. Stock and forend are given several coats of a durable synthetic satin finish. The standard rifle and carbine are equipped with aperture rear and post front sights.

The Model 89’s large, hunter-friendly curved-lever enables ease of operation, especially with gloved hands. Honoring the long tradition of great American sporting rifles, the Model 89 500 S&W Magnum provides hunters with pride in ownership and a powerful advantage afield.

“Hooked on Oregon” is in its 30th year of providing the latest in science, politics, and anything that affects the great outdoors and the people who use them every day. Besides having a large listening audience on the Washington, Oregon and Northern California coasts, “Hooked on Oregon” also live streams and has had comments from as far away as Germany and the Byrd Station.

ARLINGTON, VA — The National Defense Industrial Association is among industry organizations that will talk daily with Defense Department officials on Coronavirus COVID-19 updates and the virus’ impact on industry, the organization announces today.
Ellen Lord, Under Secretary of Defense for acquisition and sustainment, on Tuesday invited NDIA, Aerospace Industries Association, Professional Services Council, the National Association of Manufacturers and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to be part of this team “to ensure the security, reliability and resilience of our defense industrial base and our collective effort to execute the National Defense Strategy,” a statement from Lord’s office said.
Jennifer Santos, deputy assistant secretary of defense for industrial policy, will conduct the daily meetings. Tuesday’s call included representatives from Industrial Policy, Defense Contracting Management Agency, Defense Logistics Agency and Defense Pricing and Contracting.
Hawk Carlisle, NDIA’s president and CEO, commended the Defense Department’s response to the crisis.
“DoD has been extremely responsive in all efforts to ensure the safety of personnel involved in national security, from the men and women in uniform to the government civilians and defense contractors that support them,” Carlisle said. “This daily call is an excellent platform for ongoing communication between the Defense Department and the organizations that support a responsive and ready industrial base.
“NDIA is working with our membership to determine the evolving impacts of the COVID-19 response on the defense industrial base. We commend Secretary Lord and her team’s efforts to understand those impacts and maintain frank, open and clear communications. The Combat Master’s covered trigger ensures safe carry. Meanwhile, its double-stitched seams enhance durability, making the Combat Master one of the longest-lasting holsters money can buy.

A message on COVID-19 from Pelican Products

Dear Friends of Pelican,

Just a few short months ago, it would have been difficult to imagine our world facing a crisis of such massive proportions. Across the planet, citizens are united in a common goal: to fight off and eradicate a rapidly advancing attacker we cannot see or hear, a silent invader that threatens our health and well-being.

Here at Pelican, we’re doing everything in our power to be a responsible corporate citizen. We wish to assure you that we are taking every precaution at all levels to both protect the health of our employees, and to ensure business continuity during this unprecedented era of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In an effort to address this evolving situation, Pelican’s leadership team is meeting daily to discuss the global pandemic. We are taking several measures to preserve the health and safety of our staff members, who we consider to be our most precious resource. We have conducted employee training seminars on pandemic procedures, including prevention measures and precautions. We have ramped up office cleaning to disinfect all surfaces regularly. Employees who are sick are encouraged to stay home and in regions where the virus is spreading rapidly, our people are working from home. That includes all of Asia, parts of Europe, and a number of U.S. locations. We have cancelled all non-essential travel, meetings and events.

As a trusted supplier of products that are often considered necessities, we know people depend on us. Pelican’s business operations remain robust. We are experiencing minimal disruption of our supply chain, but this can change at any time as circumstances dictate. We are communicating frequently with key suppliers to ensure an adequate supply stream of materials and parts. We are evaluating inventory and production levels on a daily basis as we assess the impact to particular products. Pelican will continue to monitor the impact on demand and build an inventory buffer stock if needed.

Pelican will be seeking opportunities to be of service to our community during these troubled times. Despite the hardship and tragedy the coronavirus has left in its wake, we believe this crisis provides us with an opportunity to pull together, a chance for us to show our best selves.

We will update you as the need arises. Thank you for your patience and support during this unprecedented time in history.

We appreciate every one of you and wish you good health going forward.

LEWISTON, Idaho – March 17, 2020 – CCI, announces new Clean-22 Steel Challenge as the official ammunition of the Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA). Look for the Steel Challenge logo on the box to symbolize CCI’s support of the organization’s mission to promote participation in steel shooting competition. CCI Clean-22 Steel Challenge uses an exclusive polymer bullet coating to greatly reduce copper and lead fouling in the barrel—without leaving a residue. Shipments of this new product have begun to arrive at dealers.
“We’re proud to be the first major rimfire ammunition manufacturer to become an official sponsor,” said Federal Marketing Director Jason Nash. “Steel Challenge shooters demand the very best from their ammunition. It needs to be accurate, consistent, and ultra-reliable. With our factory-loaded ammunition, shooters can compete at a high level with ammunition that’s easier on and better for their guns.”
“The partnership between USPSA and Federal with Syntech Action Pistol has been very successful. We are equally excited about extending that partnership with CCI and Steel Challenge,” said SCSA Director of Marketing, Media & Events Jake Martens. “Forty-six percent of Steel Challenge competition is done with rimfire ammunition. CCI’s production of a competition-ready Clean-22 is a huge win for competitors.”
The High Velocity load features a 40-grain round nose lead bullet with geometry that’s been optimized for accuracy. With dependable CCI priming and consistent propellant, Clean-22 Steel Challenge provides flawless cycling through all 22 LR firearms. The Hellfire Linear Flash Suppressor

Introducing the

Hellfire Linear Flash Suppressor

ORDER YOURS NOW

You asked for it, so here it is.

As the Hellfire line has grown to not only have the Flagship 3-Port Brake, but the 2P, and a wide variety of Suppressor Mounts, the need became clear for a carbine-specific muzzle device. We got requests for linear/blast-forwarding devices, as well as flash-hiders, and couldn’t decide which we liked better – and weren’t convinced it had to be one or the other.

This device is half flash hider and half blast forwarder, giving carbine, SBR and AR Pistol owners a tailor-made device for reducing flash signature as well as concussion mitigation. Made from 17-4 PH Stainless and Black Nitrided, this system is constructed of two parts, and assembled in a manner that we intend to be permanent. The bore aperture of the LFS is suitable for calibers up to .458, loading the device with versatility and function.

An Update For Our Wiley X Customers

SUNGLASSES  EYEGLASSES  APPAREL  TACTICAL

TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS,

Effective Tuesday, March 17th, 2020 our local California counties have enacted a “shelter in place” order— the strictest measure of its kind in the country. This measure directs everyone to stay inside their homes and away from others as much as possible for the next three weeks as public health officials try to get their arms around this crisis. The directive is to remain in place until at least April 7th.

As a result, Wiley X has immediately suspended operations until further notice. Any online orders placed will be delayed as a result of these forced actions by the county. Kindly check back daily on this website for updates on when orders can be shipped.

We also recognize that we are in a position to support the collective fight against COVID-19. Following guidance from public health authorities, we understand that practicing social distancing and reducing dense public gatherings as much as possible is critically important at this time. This is a global effort that requires all of our participation.

As news develops, Wiley X will continue to follow all recommendations by the CDC to help flatten the COVID-19 curve. Be safe out there. We are all in this together.

American Defense Announcement: COVID-19

The health, safety and well-being of the American Defense team, our consumers, and the communities in which we live, work, and play is the most important consideration today and always. As we cope with the ever-changing circumstances related to COVID-19, we believe we have to take unprecedented steps to protect our staff and our consumers, and to reduce the pressure on our healthcare professionals and local communities.

Effective today, we will close our factory showroom to limit the spread of COVID-19. Right now, we plan to be closed until Friday, March 27th – but we’ll continue to evaluate that decision as we learn more about the crisis and take direction from local and federal agencies.

We look forward to getting back to business as usual as quickly as possible and we know this is a challenging time for everyone, but we will get through this together.

Be safe and be well and thank you for supporting American Defense Manufacturing.

ASP business operations update (Coronavirus)

Coronavirus Update

We want to keep our colleagues, employees, suppliers and customers—especially the all-important law enforcement officers and agencies we serve—regularly updated on the status of our business operations during this international crisis. As of this post (17 March):

Shipping: We are in a good inventory position, with minimal manufacturing/supply disruptions, and are continuing to ship orders with few if any delays. Of course, this is a very fluid situation and may change based on demand or changing events, but at this point it is business as usual in terms of our ability to supply. We recognize—and take very seriously—the role we play in making sure that public safety professionals have the equipment they need to safely perform their duties, and are doing everything we can to ensure that they do.
Staffing: As important as our obligation is to our customers, of course we must also look after the health and safety of our employees. We are implementing a carefully-designed, strategic staffing plan that balances the need to maintain business operations with the need for safe interpersonal separation. Through a combination of shift structuring, physical space planning, remote work and other options at our disposal, we are confident that we can manage both our responsibility to emergency service workers and our responsibility to our own people and those around them. It is also our intention to ensure continuity of income to our employees regardless of modifications to business schedules or hours worked.
Customer support: Whether in the office or working remotely, we are here to support our Dealers, Distributors, agencies, officers and others in need of our help. Though we will have people answering phone calls, we recommend and request that customers reach us by email whenever possible. Specific contact notes:

  • For general inquiries and service, please write to customerservice@asp-usa.com and your message will be relayed to the right individual. We anticipate being able to maintain our usual high standards of responsiveness, but appreciate your patience in the event of any unexpected delays in communication.
  • Dealers and Distributors should contact their dedicated ASP Sales Director whenever possible.
  • For important business meetings, we are ready and able to host telephone or video conferences on a variety of platforms.
  • Remember that www.asp-usa.com provides a wealth of information, from product specifications to sell sheets to instructional videos.

Training and travel: Early in this crisis, we began canceling or postponing all offsite meetings and training (ASP Instructor Certification, ASP Trainer Certification) programs. Currently all are postponed through August, and we are continuously monitoring and reviewing the situation. We know that officers and agencies want and need the training we provide, but clearly this was the right decision. We have also instituted a no-travel policy for all of our employees. We very much look forward to being able to start rescheduling our training programs and our in-person business meetings as soon as it is safe to do so.
In short, to the extent that we can foresee it, ASP is equipped and prepared for continuity of operations through this difficult period. We will continue to keep you updated as appropriate, and hope you will all stay healthy and safe.
Cordially,
ASP, Inc.
