NSSF Commends Sen. Cornyn’s Concealed Carry Reciprocity Legislation
Legislation Would End Patchwork of Confusing Gun Law for CC Permit Holders
NEWTOWN, Conn. – The NSSF®, the firearm industry’s trade association, commends U.S. Sen. John Cornyn’s (R-Texas) introduction of S. 1522, the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. The legislation was introduced with 30 original co-sponsors – over 30 percent of the U.S. Senate – to protect law-abiding concealed carry permit holders from being forced to navigate a patchwork of varying gun control laws when crossing state lines.
The bill aims to eliminate the confusion of varying state-by-state laws and provide protection for Second Amendment rights for permit holders. The legislation would allow handgun owners who are legally permitted and authorized by their home state to carry a concealed firearm in other states while complying with the laws of each state – much in the same way a driver’s license is recognized.
“NSSF wholeheartedly supports this long-overdue legislation to answer the problem of the confusing patchwork of laws surrounding concealed carry permits, particularly with regard to states where laws make unwitting criminals out of legal permit holders for a simple mistake of a wrong traffic turn,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “This legislation safeguards a state’s right to determine their own laws while protecting the Second Amendment rights of all Americans. Sen. Cornyn’s bold and steady leadership to protect Second Amendment rights and the firearm industry that provides the means to exercise those rights is noteworthy.”
Unlike other rights protected by the U.S. Constitution, the right to keep and bear arms is regulated differently by individual states. While individual rights to speech, religion and protections of Due Process or Search and Seizure are constant, gun rights vary according to the state. Reciprocity agreements exist, but not between all states and are ever-changing. That puts individuals at risk of running afoul of varying state-by-state laws when traveling and crossing borders.

Henry Repeating Arms Returns to Racing for Darlington Throwback Weekend
RICE LAKE, WI – April 29, 2021
A classic race serves as the perfect backdrop for Henry Repeating Arms, with the American manufacturer of classic rifles and shotguns kicking off its third season of partnership with Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) on May 8 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway.

The weekend is upon us and I hope you’re planning on a couple of meritorious R&R days; doing whatever floats your boat. There’s not much to crow about in this political climate, but on the up side, the pandemic is coming to an end, the country is opening back up, with a few exceptions, so things should be getting back to normal. Hang in there and keep those sweat pumps in low speed.
In all of my shoot the shit pieces, I’ve taken potshots at the behavioral sciences that’s because I feel the group as a whole is poorly regulated and the most inept bunch of “professionals” in the country. You are much better served by scheduling or participating in a shoot the shit. You may not know this, but a large percentage of psychology majors chose the field so they could understand themselves. The estimate is that about 60% of psychology majors fall under this group. If you went to a psychologist and told them that you’ve been talking to the devil, they’d want to know what he said to you and the conversation would inevitably get around to penis size as they touch their crotch. Now compare that to a shoot the shit.
A shoot the shit is a social interaction during which any subject can be discussed by participants who need not know anything about the subject, are free to make any unsupported comment, use uncensored profanity, insult anyone they wish or change the subject altogether. So, if you were to be party to a shoot the shit and say that you were speaking to the devil you’d hear “get the fuck out of here, you are so full of shit go beat your meat.” At the end of that feedback, you would no longer think you and the devil had been chatting.
On several occasions, I’ve identified the states with the highest number of per capita psychologists as California, New York and Pennsylvania ( around the Philadelphia area). Let me demonstrate what I see as evidence that psychologists will hose you up.

Apparently when Asia came out against Harvey Weinstein Bennett said “it stirred memories of his own experience in 2013.” How many of you would sue Asia Argento because she gave you a drink, head and a hump? Are you kidding me! Bennet must have been seeing a therapist; that’s the effect of psychology. Had Jimmy been attending a shoot the shit, the participants would want to know if he experienced a perfect vacuum or what she had for crotch tattoos.
I don’t know if you know this but she was Anthony Bourdain’s main squeeze, they got together in 2017. Anthony was a chef and journalist known for his Parts Unknow Show which was a must watch for me, Bourdain mooched more fantastic meals than anyone I’ve seen. Sadly, Anthony Bourdain committed suicide by hanging in 2018 while in France.

Early in 2020, one of the MPA Team Shooters, Allen Abisia, told Cashin about a talented young shooter in Virginia he had been training. His eye for talent was spot on. Akenhead started shooting One and Two Day PRS matches in 2020 and her performances have been outstanding. She has won Top Junior Shooter in six PRS matches and Top Lady in four matches, including the National MPA Summer Shootout, all in the past 12 months. She is also a speaker for Second Amendment rights and was selected as the Virginia 4H Shooting Ambassador.
“I’m extremely excited to be joining Team MPA this year and I can’t wait to get the 2021 season started,” remarked Akenhead.
Piper lives in the Pacific Northwest and has been running MPA Chassis for several years. Having experience with road racing, Piper is used to pushing the limits and his shooting performance reflects this competitive spirit. In 2020, he had two wins at Regional Matches, multiple Top Five finishes, multiple 3rd Place finishes in the Rifleman’s Team Challenge Series, and placed Top 10 at the Blueridge AG Cup Match.

RICHMOND, Va. (April 26, 2019) — Built as the ultimate low-light, high-performance riflescope, the German Precision Optics (GPO) SPECTRA 3-15x56i has been built to give you the premium performance serious hunters and shooters require in both low- or no-light shooting situations.
The SPECTRA 3-15x56i’s large 56mm objective lens system transmits an incredible amount of light to your eye, while the 3-15X variable power range provides ample magnification for both close and long-range shots. Throw in the proprietary iCONTROL™ microdot illumination and shot placement on dark targets will make you a believer. This scope comes standard with DoubleHD™ objective lens technology, iCONTROL illumination, PASSIONtrac™ turrets to assist your shooting scenario, and a G4i reticle. The turrets, designed for 0.36-inch adjustment at 100 yards (or 0.1 mrad), provide 90 inches of adjustment range. Custom turrets also are available. The main features of the SPECTRA 5X 3-15x56i include:
* GPObright™: A proprietary coating process that maximizes light transmission through each surface of an optical element. As light hits an optical surface, normal uncoated high-performance glass can reflect up to five percent of that light, redirecting this light so it does not transmit through the optical system. However, when these high-performance lenses are vacuum-coated with GPObright lens coatings, up to 99.7 percent of the available light passes through each optical surface. Furthermore, when every surface of the entire optical system is properly coated, total light transmission can reach up to more than 92 percent, making the optical image of a GPO binocular or riflescope “bright,” even in the lowest light conditions.
* Double HD Objective Lens Technology: This is the final product, created when multiple extra-low dispersion lenses are chemically laminated to make a single, multilayer high-performance optical lens. Laminating multiple lenses minimizes light reflection on the surface of multiple lenses, creates enhanced resolution and color contrast images, and minimizes chromatic aberrations. This benefit is clearly visible with all GPO products supporting this feature. This high-performance process is routinely found in the photographic market and with the highest-quality photographic lens manufacturers but has now transitioned into premium sporting optics.
* iControl™ Illumination: This assures users always have a live battery by automatically powering down the illumination when the electronic module has been stationary for more than 3 hours, and alerts users when the battery has only 15 percent remaining battery life. It also offers bright, fiber optic technology.
