Proof of Vaccination or Negative COVID-19 Test

NDIA has partnered with SafeExpo for attendees to upload their proof of vaccination. All attendees will be required to be fully vaccinated or show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72-hours prior to arrival onsite. The portal to upload your proof of vaccination will remain open until Friday, May 13 at 8:00 pm EDT. Please bring the negative test report with you when you arrive at the Tampa Convention Center, upload of a negative test will not be accepted.

The following negative tests will be accepted: Rapid Antigen, Rapid PCR, and Regular PCR, and must be administered by a medical professional. All tests must be generated by an official lab, pharmacy, or medical clinic. Proof of antibodies or any home-administered tests will not be accepted.

Currently, it is recommended that fully vaccinated attendees wear a mask indoors, but they may choose not to. It is recommended that all attendees that are not fully vaccinated wear a face mask.

Proof of Vaccination

There will be testing available at the JW Marriott Water Street in the Manatee room on the 4th floor. Tests offered are a Rapid Antigen, Rapid LAMP Molecular NAAT, and Rapid RT-PCR. Individuals should have results within 15 – 30 minutes depending on the test taken. Tests are at the expense of the individual.

In military applications and for security companies, the increasing complexity of the respective tasks is also rapidly raising the requirements profiles for the associated technology. This applies above all to the reliability and flexibility of the connector systems that are used. Weight savings, durability, easy handling and fast cleaning can be a matter of life or death in extreme cases, as can the secure transmission of high data volumes. Civilian emergency services and numerous other applications, for example in mining, agriculture and forestry, can also benefit from these features.

On the one hand, it is imperative to ensure the proper functioning of robust materials in extreme and rugged environments. These connectors include three compatible locking variants on one receptacle, as the locking requirements may vary depending on the situation. The thread-lock function is especially suitable for applications that are subjected to extreme vibrations. The break-away function enables the connection to be released by manually applying force, allowing quick and easy disconnection in critical situations. The push-pull mechanism reliably locks inside the receptacle and the ball-lock system provides additional support to guarantee interference-free data transmission. The ODU AMC® Series T combines all three locking variants – reducing the number of different interfaces across all systems and replacing them with a common interface.

Uniform receptacles also reduce the number of interfaces within a given system, especially for connections to subsystems such as cameras, sensors, or weapon systems. In the event of damage, the additional locking options make it easier to maintain and assemble the respective systems in the field in an emergency.

Due to significant ongoing supply chain issues relating to the nickel-plating process, SIG SAUER has suspended nickel plating on all ammunition products until further notice to ensure continued timely ammunitions shipments.

The suspension of nickel plating means certain packaging that either states and/or pictures ammunition with nickel plated brass cases may not reflect that actual product. In those instances, nickel-plated casings have been substituted with standard brass cases.

All SIG SAUER ammunition is produced with the highest quality brass components, manufactured to exacting standards utilizing the most advanced processes, which is why SIG SAUER ammunition has been selected over and over by the U.S. military for its quality, precision and accuracy.

East Alton, IL (May 2, 2022) — The 2022 National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) Championship Tour, Powered by Winchester, held its second event last week: the prestigious World English Sporting Clays Championship. This international event alternates between the U.S. and England each year and attracts the very best sporting clays shooters from around the world with more than 1,000 competitors attending this year.
Team Winchester members performed exceedingly well and were prevalent on the podium throughout the events. Special congratulations are in order to Eric Harvey, who was a bronze medalist of the event and FITASC event champion. Meanwhile, Connor Daniel was the world champion in the Sub-Junior concurrent.

The C1 Modular Mount offers the end user four accessory mounting points on the Unimount body both left, right, fore, and aft to suit a wide range of shooter’s needs. The Boardroom Series of 1911 pistols is a combination of 2022 features and the timeless 1911 platform. This series consists of four pistols: The Chairman, a 6” long slide; the President, a 5” government model; the Vice President, a 4.25” commander length model; and the all-new Treasurer, a 3.8” officer model. Each pistol in the Boardroom Series boasts a gold titanium nitride crowned barrel. The tri-cut slide has windows cut in the slide, reducing weight, and aiding in faster cycling. The match-grade bushing barrel can be chambered in 9mm, .45 ACP, and 10mm in the Chairman and President models, while the Vice President and Treasurer models are chambered in 9mm.

When you want to run a dual optic setup and have a close distance Mini/Micro Red Dot Sight (MRDS) with a Low Power Variable Optic (LPVO) scope, this 45-degree optic mount is a low-profile and high-strength accessory without forcing you to pick only one red dot you have to pair it up with. April 29, 2022: Rafael Advanced Defense Systems has inaugurated the SPYDER Defense System Simulation and Training Center in the Philippines in a ceremony held in the facility at an Air Base in Floridablanca, Philippines.

Certainly, the launchers and the missiles are a valuable asset, but the materiel is worth little without the air defender. It is not enough to hold the best systems, we have to train hard and maximize our potential as well as that of the systems. This training center comes to build the future generation of Philippine air defenders, their resolute spirit and professionalism.”

In a ceremony held on April 26, 2022 RAFAEL’s Executive Vice President Pinhas Yungman, Head of the Air & Missile Defense Directorate. Connor Anthony Canlas Sr., SIBAT Director for Asia and the Pacific Eytan Levi, and other officials took part in the official opening of the training center. During the ceremony, Secretary Lorenzana along with PAF Senior Leaders were able to see first-hand, the missile engagement simulation and the training capabilities provided by the center. The SPADS Simulator – Training Center is the Philippine Air Force’s first missile training center which will serve as a training ground for future air defenders to prepare them for real-time threats as well as enhancing personnel knowledge and skills. The training center is part of the GBADS Acquisition Project of the Philippine Air Force which will further enhance the nation’s defensive capabilities.

Revision Delivers Next Generation Micro Heads-Up Display to Air Force Rescue Unit

ESSEX JUNCTION, VERMONT (April 28, 2022) – Revision Military, a leading producer of protective eyewear for military, law enforcement, and civilian users, has recently completed the delivery of 50 prototype micro heads-up display systems to the U.S. Air Force’s 129th Rescue Squadron as part of an Air Force program to explore new technologies. The Revision Smart Eyewear powered by Ciye enhances situational awareness and mission effectiveness while offering state-of-the art ballistic eye protection.

The Revision Smart Eyewear powered by Ciye HUD system, is based on commercially available technology developed by Ciye, a U.S.-based leader in fitness tracking technology. The U.S. Air Force provided development funding for the device through the Air Force Research Laboratory’s (AFRL) AFWERX small business innovation research grant program.

“The goal in creating this system is to give the wearer access to essential tactical information in real-time without overwhelming them, all while providing ballistic eye protection,” says Revision CEO Amy Coyne. “The smart eyewear is based on Revision’s longstanding expertise in providing combat-proven solutions that protect our men and women in uniform.”

While wearing the 1.9-ounce smart eyewear, the user looks up and to the left to see an array of user-selectable data fields related to navigation. The display is only visible when needed, leaving the wearer’s entire field of view free from distracting information.

“The display is not in the user’s field of view,” says Ciye CEO Yuri Zhovnirovsky, “giving the wearer access to information without compromising situational awareness. A critical information need for the military is ‘where am I, and where am I going.’ Normally, you’d have to stop what you’re doing and consult a map or device to figure that out,” says Zhovnirovsky, “but with our device navigation and movement are seamless.”

Once the user selects and downloads a route from the Android or iOS smartphone app using a Bluetooth connection, the unit then runs autonomously, displaying route direction, moving time, and distance data that’s dynamically updated in real-time in three visible fields.

The smart eyewear contains a ballistic lens, an integrated display, GPS and antenna, a compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, and a 12-hour battery. The unit is semi-autonomous, only requiring a smartphone app to set navigation waypoints and configure the display. The battery is rechargeable in 30 minutes using a common USB power bank. The entire system is contained within the footprint of a set of spectacles that are designed to integrate with existing helmets and communication headgear.

As part of the Air Force Program trials, search and rescue personnel used the smart eyewear preloaded with mission navigation waypoints before their aircraft took off. Once on the ground, rescuers used the navigation HUD to guide them directly to their objective without using critical time in the landing zone to consult handheld navigation aids. An arrow pointing to the waypoint or objective, along with time and distance to the objective was displayed and updated in real-time as the wearer moved. Without needing to reference maps or tablets, the personnel had greater situational awareness and were able to move more efficiently through complex terrain.

Now that this initial field trial with the Air Force is complete, Revision and CIYE will continue to evolve the product into a state of operational readiness, identify stakeholders and further define end user requirements. ANOKA, Minnesota – April 28, 2022 – Team Federal finished strong at the recent Magpul Texas 3-Gun Championship held at the Reveille Peak Ranch in Burnet, Texas, where Federal was a Platinum level sponsor. The first multi-color anodizing option currently available is the DS9 Hybrid Red and Black. This is just one of the many versions MPA will be offering. MPA has been working closely with one of its suppliers to produce this grip for those customers looking to add a unique touch to their pistol. These grips can be added to any of the MPA DS Series Pistols. This multi-color anodizing option can be added for an upcharge of $300.

WASHINGTON—The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is inviting the drone community to be part of its 2022 Drone Safety Day campaign on Saturday, June 18. This year’s campaign will be a one-day national event, to encourage drone pilots and recreational flyers to “Fly RIGHT.” This year’s safety messages will focus on:

Register your drone
Interact with others
Gain knowledge
Have a safety plan
TRUST and Train

Since 2019, the FAA has hosted the annual campaign dedicated to drone safety and best practices. Safety is a shared responsibility that requires the community and the FAA to work together.

Lena Miculek Takes Top Lady, Jerry Miculek Wins Super Senior Pro

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – April 27, 2022 – Hoppe’s, the No. 1 name in gun care products, congratulates daughter-father duo and Hoppe’s pros Lena and Jerry Miculek on their impressive finishes at the USPSA Multi-Gun Nationals, which were held in Clinton, South Carolina.

Lena Miculek made her notable return to Multi-Gun after three years of focusing on USPSA PCC (pistol caliber carbine) competition. She claimed the highest overall finish of any woman in Multi-Gun Nationals history, placing seventh overall in the Tac-Optics Division as well as taking the High Lady title.

“I decided it was time to make my comeback to Multi-Gun, the sport that made me fall in love with competitive shooting in the first place,” Lena said. “I had 30 days to return a champion. Training was intense as I picked up my shotgun, rifle and pistol for the first time in what felt like a lifetime. With so many skills to worry about and train, I’m thankful my firearms’ reliability was never a concern.
