NSSF Statement on Assassination of Charlie Kirk

WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, joins the nation in grieving the loss of Charlie Kirk, Founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, struck down by an assassin during a public open appearance at Utah Valley University, in Orem, Utah. Kirk was a thought leader who peacefully challenged opposing viewpoints. But more than that, Kirk was a husband and father to two small children.

Kirk was a man who challenged ideas with ideas. He invited open debate with those who vehemently disagreed with him. He believed in free and spirited exchange of ideas and using words to reach millions of young adults across America’s college campuses. Kirk was also a man of deep-rooted and unapologetic faith in his Creator. He was dedicated to preserving and exercising our American rights granted by that Creator and guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution, including not just First Amendment rights of Free Speech but also Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms.

This targeted assassination of Kirk, in what can only be understood as a measure to silence his voice and ideas, is vile. There is nothing – absolutely nothing – that could justify political violence against Kirk who sought to engage his fellow citizens in civil discourse. This assassin is the manifestation of evil and NSSF remains confident that local, state and federal authorities will find and bring this individual to justice.

Likewise, NSSF joins those who are repulsed by some who claim Kirk invited this senseless and cruel act of criminal violence, as well as some who celebrated it. We dedicate ourselves to honoring Kirk’s memory and legacy. We humbly pray for his young widow and children who will grow in their lives without their husband and father, taken so cruelly and senselessly by a politically-motivated assassin.

Today, we grieve. We also commit ourselves to advancing the principles which Kirk held dear, that freedom of thought and expression of rights cannot be compromised, that this nation is truly unique and preserving the nation’s liberties requires each of us to enter the arena. We are also committed to the principle that Kirk demonstrated to recognize, with the insight of the Creator who grants us our freedoms, the humanity of those around us – even those with whom we disagree.

D&M and the Ukrainian Defense Industry Joint Stock Company (JSC) recently announced a partnership to produce specialty chemicals in the United States to address the critical shortage of propellant used in the production of ammunition for the Ukrainian defense forces. Prior to this project, D&M built a multi-million-dollar ammunition facility in Ukraine for the Ukraine Defense Industry and has several other projects in the works there, including a primer facility.

“The need for reliable supplies of powder and ammunition is soaring globally as a matter of national security for nations throughout the world,” said Dan Powers, President and CEO, D&M Holding Company. “At D&M, we are working nonstop to support the US, NATO countries, and other friendly foreign governments. Release of Smaller Loitering Munition Further Validates Large UAS as Motherships

SAN DIEGO – 10 September 2025 – General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) and AeroVironment (“AV”) (NASDAQ: AVAV) collaborated on the air launch of a Switchblade 600 loitering munition (LM) from a GA-ASI Block 5 MQ-9A unmanned aircraft system (UAS). The flight testing took place from July 22-24 at the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Grounds Test Range. It marked the first time a Switchblade 600 has ever been launched from an unmanned aircraft.

“This cooperative effort showcased how combining different unmanned technologies could really provide value and effects to the warfighter,” said GA-ASI President David R. Alexander. “By using MQ-9A to carry the Switchblade, the MQ-9A is able to stand off farther from enemy weapons systems and increase the range of the SB600, which will provide greater access and options in contested airspace.”

After successfully integrating the SB600 with the MQ-9A, the team released two LMs: one with an inert warhead and the other with a high-explosive round. After launch, the team transferred control of the Switchblade from a user in the MQ-9A’s ground control station to a user on the ground nearer the operational area.

The test further validated GA-ASI’s ability to integrate and operate a variety of airborne launched effects on the battlefield – including both those built by GA-ASI and by partners such as AV – and how their use in conflict provides risk-tolerant options to commanders in contested operations.

It is with profound sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Charlie Kirk, as confirmed by President Trump. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this heartbreaking time. His loss serves as a sobering reminder of how fragile life is and why the right to self-protection is so critical in America today.

The inspiration for our company came on October 1, 2017, when our nation was shaken by the tragedy at the Route 91 Harvest music festival in Las Vegas. CLAYTON, MO (September 10, 2025) — Winchester is excited to be back on the track for the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway on the No.3 Bass Pro Shops/Winchester Chevrolet driven by Austin Dillon. On Saturday, September 13, the famed night race returns to Bristol as one of the most popular races in NASCAR.
The Bass Pro Shops Night Race marks the 128th Cup race hosted at Bristol Motor Speedway. Drivers will make 500 laps around the 0.5-mile oval known for close racing.
Viewers can catch the race on USA or streaming on HBO Max, and listeners can find it on PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.

The Speed Master 2.0’s excellent versatility derives from its included twin attachment methods – an adjustable belt slot and a paddle – that are quickly and easily interchangeable by the end user. A flat-headed screwdriver is the only tool needed to swap one attachment for the other, giving the gun carrier the choice of two carry methods: the convenient paddle design or the stable and traditional belt slot.

A Belt Drop is also available as an option. It can increase the speed of the draw, sit clear of equipment ranging from rain gear to body armor, ride below a backpack’s waist straps, and make the draw easier for short-waisted and/or female shooters.

Constructed of premium steerhide, the Speed Master 2.0 fits belts up to 1 3/4″.

Available for semiauto pistols and DA revolvers, the Speed Master 2.0 is available in right hand designs in tan or black finish.
