Starting at noon Eastern on Thursday, Oct. 13, the limited-edition rifles will be available exclusively through Henry Repeating Arms’ website while supplies last. The company is presenting all proceeds from selling these rifles to various foundations and organizations supported by the charitable branch of Henry Repeating Arms called Guns For Great Causes.

Production is limited to 1,000 units, and 100% of the proceeds from each sale will raise a total of $1,000,000 for donation to children’s hospitals, military veterans and first responders’ organizations, shooting sports, hunting heritage, and wildlife conservation advocates. The middle of the buttstock features an inlaid nickel-plated medallion stamped with the iconic Henry Repeating Arms frontiersman and 25th-anniversary logo. An engraving on the upper tang of the receiver is filled with silver paint and reads, “Silver Anniversary 1-of-1,000.” Other specifications are borrowed directly from the Golden Boy, including a tube magazine with a capacity for 16 rounds of .22 Long Rifle or 21 rounds of .22 Short, a 20-inch blued steel octagon barrel, and fully adjustable sights. GA-ASI Flight Tests Next-Generation Flight Computer on Gray Eagle Extended Range

GA-ASI FLIGHT TESTS NEXT-GENERATION FLIGHT COMPUTER ON GRAY EAGLE EXTENDED RANGE

SAN DIEGO – 11 October 2022 – General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) successfully performed the first flight tests of the next-generation flight computer for the MQ-1C Gray Eagle Extended Range (GE-ER) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). The tests took place at GA-ASI’s El Mirage Flight Test Facility in El Mirage, Calif., as part of the U.S. Army-funded development efforts to upgrade and modernize the GE-ER.

GA-ASI successfully flight tested the new Flight Control Module (FCM) on Sept. 13-14, 2022. The flights included the Eagle Flight Computer Assembly (EFCA) that provides increased processing power, memory, and a high speed ethernet interface. Modernized avionics will enable advanced computing, Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), and automation, as well as redundancy, and environmental improvements.

This series of flight tests also provides critical risk reduction for the FCM-based Gray Eagle 25M UAS along with advanced datalinks, avionics, and communications enhancements, and HFE 2.0 and Brushless Generator capabilities, which are scheduled to begin flight test in early 2023.

“Together with our U.S. Army teammates, we’re making important progress in preparing GE-ER for successful Joint All Domain Operations (JADO) in contested environments,” said GA-ASI Vice President of Army Programs Don Cattell. “Completion of the GE-ER modernization enables mission readiness, reliability, versatility and success for the Army’s highest priority Reconnaissance, Surveillance, Targeting and Acquisition (RSTA) missions at all echelons of command.”

GE-25M Will Provide Critical Capabilities that Enable Multi-Domain Operations

SAN DIEGO – 10 October 2022 – General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) has launched its latest variant of the Gray Eagle line of Unmanned Aircraft Systems: Gray Eagle 25M. The GE-25M brings a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) to the Multi-Domain Operations (MDO)-capable system to ensure incremental enhancements can be made at the speed of emerging threats.

The “M” in 25M stands for Modernized and incorporates open architecture aircraft and ground systems, advanced datalinks, and an upgraded propulsion system, significantly enhancing the ability to add new capabilities, provide resilience to electronic threats, and deliver expeditionary employment to austere locations.

“GE-25M incorporates MOSA across the aircraft and ground system architectures, which enables rapid integration of advanced payloads and communication equipment, along with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) capabilities,” said GA-ASI Vice President of Army Programs Don Cattell. “This will reduce the sensor-to-shooter timelines, while simultaneously reducing the datalink bandwidth requirements in a contested environment, thus increasing range and resiliency.”

The onboard ‘edge processing’ capability will maximize the utility of the Medium-Altitude, Long-Endurance aircraft providing, in near real time, threat Detection, Identification, Location and Reporting (DILR) to the U.S. Army and Joint Force. Furthermore, the software components are being designed to be portable to other manned and unmanned aircraft systems the U.S. Army is developing, enhancing capability while reducing cost.

Multi-Intelligence sensors on the new UAS deliver actionable information, providing commanders with reach, overmatch, and combat options. GE-25M provides advanced teaming with Future Vertical Lift (FVL), Air-Launched Effects (ALE), and joint assets for Stand-Off Survivability with Stand-In Capability, facilitating convergence among cross-domain fires.

The new platform provides critical Reconnaissance, Surveillance, Target Acquisition (RSTA) capability to Division Commanders, and acts as a quarterback providing a persistent, key communication node in the aerial tier network.

Earlier this year, factory upgrades began on two U.S. Army Gray Eagle Extended Range UAS which will become the first 25M variants. These 25M aircraft are scheduled for flight test and qualification beginning in 2023. The GE-25M comes packaged with a next-generation SAR with long range sensing and navigation capability, and a menu of advanced sensors and payloads mission-tailorable options. The GE-25M is controlled from a laptop-based MOSA ground station, reducing material footprint while dramatically improving transportability, as well as enabling expeditionary operations.

Elite Tactical GAP Grind Celebrates 10th Anniversary of PRS Competition

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – October 10, 2022 – Bushnell®, an industry leader in performance optics, recently wrapped up the 10th annual GA Precision/Elite Tactical “GAP Grind” Pro/Am. The largest and most sought-after PRS match in the world, the GAP Grind drew 400 amateur and pro shooters from across the U.S. and globe. Internationally recognized as the only long-range precision rifle match of its kind, the competition has been the catalyst of introducing thousands of new shooters to the sport since its inception.

As part of this year’s competition, Elite Tactical, in conjunction with Bergara Rifles and Lapua® rimfire ammunition, sponsored a side stage where shooters had the opportunity to try out the new Elite Tactical DMR3 riflescope with new EQL reticles. Shooters also competed for the side stage’s awards for the top pro and amateur.

In the main competition, Elite Tactical, Hoppe’s and RCBS pro Robert Brantley won Top Tactical and Elite Tactical pro Ryan Kerr won Top Production. Sponsored shooter Troy Livesay also placed 13th overall combined score (6th place Pro) and finished in fifth place as part of the team competition with his teammate Rick Lovely. Throughout the competition, Brantley, Kerr and Livesay ran the Elite Tactical XRS3 riflescope.

The year’s largest PRS match drew hundreds of attendees, and more than 80,000 rounds were fired throughout the three-day event. In addition to competition stages, the GAP Grind featured a vendor area, live music and entertainment. Bushnell gave out $5,000 to the top place finishers and added over $5,000 worth of product to the prize table. The brand also gave out three special awards during the event – the Deserving Amateur Award, the Deserving RO (Range Officer) Award, and the Top Sportsman’s Award, which is given to a competitor who exhibits the “spirit of the Grind” during the match by helping others and showing good sportsmanship.

I hope everyone has had a productive week. If you were in South West Florida, you’ve been through hell. The loss of life was astronomical and our hearts go out to their families and the survivors who are now tasked with rebuilding from virtually nothing. The message that I want to send you is that climate change is not the issue, it’s the fact that you chose to live in an area with an average elevation above sea level of 3 to 10 feet in a hurricane zone, Florida is one of those landmasses where the tallest thing you could fall off and hurt yourself is a barstool.

Sadly, many of our elected officials used the opportunity to push more electric vehicle smoke; unfortunately, it’s mindless rhetoric. If you were in Southwest Florida with an EV during and after Ian, you were hosed, and in several cases lucky to be alive. Topping the list of moronic comments from agency officials is that you can use your EV to power your home in the event of a natural disaster.

There are officials employed by you, in government agencies, who will have you believe that your Tesla can power your home in the event of a power outage. So, in this post, I will equip you with a bit of basic knowledge to help you see through the smoke, identify morons, jackasses and / or bullshitters. So, let’s talk about electricity so that you’re not misled.

There are two types of electricity, direct current (d.c.) and alternating current (a.c.).

Direct current is a voltage generated electron flow with a single polarity, in other words there is no positive to negative swing, common sources of direct current are batteries or converters like the power block for your laptop. Direct current is impractical for transmission and a power company would need to increase voltage to sufficiently high levels to overcome transmission wire resistance and a physical phenomenon known as counter electromotive force or CEMF. Because the transmission loss of d.c. is so high, power companies supply energy using alternating current.

Alternating current changes its polarity at a rate of 60 times per second or 60 HZ. Alternating current arrives at your home at 220 volts. Older homes usually have 60 ampere circuits, but residential circuits can be as high as 100 amps to 200 amps. An amp, or ampere, is the unit of measure used to quantify the amount of current flow. Think of it as a water pipe; a large pipe carries more water than a smaller pipe. Your home is wired for alternating current and metered for alternating current consumption. Any device in your home that runs on direct current such as cell phones, laptops or adult toys plug into an a.c. outlet. One final datapoint an EV battery is limited to about 45 KWH to 60 KWH good for one or two days of direct current, which then needs to be converted to a.c. by an external d.c. to a.c.converter, a sizeable expense with added complexity, and money best spent on an external emergency power generator.

In addition to not knowing what they’re talking about these individuals can’t deal with the most fundamental logic, I’ll explain. You are likely to experience a prolonged power outage under the following conditions: you live in California or Main during winter months or during a natural disaster. Under these circumstances, why would anyone deplete the battery of an EV by powering their home and risking not being able to get the hell out of the area. The illuminati suggesting that you use an EV to power your house in an emergency should be doing something else for a living. A better solution to your power needs in an emergency is an external generator not your vehicle.

NSSF Denounces USFWS Settlement Proposal to Ban Traditional Ammo that Saddles Lawyer Fees on Taxpayers

NEWTOWN, Conn. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, denounces a joint motion for a continuance in Center for Biological Diversity v. U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (CBD v. USFWS) that seeks to ban the use of traditional lead ammunition and fishing tackle. Both parties filed for a joint motion to stay proceedings until Nov. 2, but that settlement agreement now includes taxpayers paying the bill for legal and court costs. This settlement proposal is a textbook example of the “sue and settle” schemes brought by activist lawyers and agreed to by government bureaucrats to enact policies that cannot survive the lawmaking or rule making process while enriching special-interest groups at taxpayer expense.

“The notion that federal agencies would work hand-in-glove with anti-hunting activists to thwart hunting on National Wildlife Refuges is maddening enough. The proposal that taxpayer dollars will be used to line the pockets of these activist groups should be infuriating to all,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF’s Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “This is an egregious abuse of the courts and adds insult to injury to actual hunter-conservationists that fund and support those that actually fund wildlife conservation.”

The lawsuit seeks to expand the USFWS’s recent ban on the use of traditional ammunition that was finalized without a shred of scientific evidence. Instead, it was predicated on the theoretical possibility of detrimental population effects. It is obvious that wildlife populations are vibrant and healthy, a result of nearly a century’s worth of excise taxes paid for wildlife conservation. The firearm and ammunition industry has paid over $15.3 billion since 1937 – or over $23 billion when adjusted for inflation – that has made the North American Wildlife Conservation Model the envy of the world.

This lawsuit threatens the foundation of that model by banning the use of traditional ammunition without scientific evidence of detrimental population impacts. The plaintiffs, in a scheme the USFWS is going along with, would eliminate the use of traditional lead ammunition and force hunters to use alternative ammunition that is 3-5 times more expensive. That move would result in a rapid decline in hunting and fishing, which would hollow-out the revenue sources for wildlife conservation.

NSSF strongly supports bicameral legislative proposals that would mandate policies on the use of traditional ammunition and fishing tackle be based on sound scientific evidence. U.S. Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) introduced S. 4940 and U.S. Reps. Rob Wittman (R-Va.) and Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.) introduced H.R. 9088, legislation that would prohibit the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of Agriculture from prohibiting the use of lead ammunition or tackle on certain Federal land or water under their jurisdiction without scientific evidence of harm to wildlife populations.

We’ve received a lot of inquiries about what this means, how it could impact customers and how Brownells is classified today and in the future.

Therefore, I wanted to reach out to you – a valued customer and friend – to clarify a few things regarding this issue.

Brownells Classification Now & Going Forward

First and foremost, I want you to know that Brownells has long been classified as a “sporting goods retailer” by credit card companies. After conversation with our banking partners, we have confirmed that we will continue to be classified as a SPORTING GOODS RETAILER.

To be clear, we WILL NOT be changing to the new MCC dedicated to firearm and ammunition retailers. This is mainly due to the types of products we predominately sell.

AUSA 2022 – RAFAEL’s IRON BEAM High Energy Laser Weapon System will be Featured for the 1st Time

October 2022 – Rafael Advanced Defense Systems is participating in AUSA 2022, the Association of the US Army’s annual conference, in Washington, D.C. from October 10-12, 2022. For the first time, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. and its RAFAEL USA subsidiary will be presenting the IRON BEAM High Energy Laser Weapon System (HELWS).

RAFAEL’s IRON BEAM is a 100kW class High Energy Laser Weapon System (HELWS) is the first laser system of its kind to have been documented intercepting a range of aerial threats. It is on track to become the first operational laser-based defense system that effectively intercepts a wide spectrum of threats – including RAM and UAVs as well as swarms of mini-UAVs – with pinpoint accuracy from a range of a few hundred yards to up to several miles. IRON BEAM is designed to complement the world-renowned IRON DOME air defense system, bolstering RAFAEL’s multi-layered defense portfolio.

This year at AUSA 2022 RAFAEL USA’s display will feature three main pillars of warfare: multi-layered air defense, long range precision fires and ground maneuver supporting capabilities.

Multi-Layered Air Defense:

In the multi-layered defense arena in addition to the IRON BEAM, RAFAEL will present the IRON DOME Air Defense System, with over 4,000 combat interceptions and a success rate of 90%. The Iron Dome missile defense system is a proven multi-mission system that provides a combat-proven defense against rockets, artillery, and mortars (C-RAM), aircraft, helicopters, UAVs, PGMs, and cruise missiles. Also known in the US as SKY HUNTER, the ground-based IRON DOME detects and assesses incoming threats allowing for precise and life-saving interceptions. Extending to the medium range layer of defense, RAFAEL will present the STUNNER a lethal hit-to-kill air defense interceptor countering long-range artillery rockets (LRAR), short-range ballistic missiles (SRBM), cruise missiles (CM) and traditional air defense threats. Designed for “plug and play” insertion into fielded air and missile defense systems, Stunner is easily integrated into a variety of engagement scenarios. As part of Rafael’s David’s Sling Weapon System, Stunner provides optimum homeland protection and forward deployed forces.

Long Range Precision Fires

RAFAEL USA will be showcasing a range of defense system that have already proven their capabilities and ability to support the U.S. warfighter, including the SPIKE Missile Family such as the SPIKE NLOS; this system is under contract as Long-Range Precision Fires capability for the AH64E Rotary fleet. The SPIKE MISSILE Family is operated by some 39 nations including 19 NATO members. The SPIKE LR2 which is also in use by NATO forces can fulfil the requirements of the U.S. Army’s Close Combat Missile System-Heavy (CCMS-H) operational need. The entire SPIKE Family will be on display including the SPIKE FIREFLY loitering munition and the light shoulder launched SPIKE SR.

Ground Maneuver Supporting Capabilities

RAFAEL USA will be showcasing the TROPHY Active Protective System (APS) which has already saved lives in the field of battle and has been integrated on the U.S. Abrams Tank. RAFAEL USA through its various subsidiaries already locally manufacture significant parts of TROPHY APS in the U.S. Alongside the TROPHY, RAFAEL will present together with its partners OSHKOSH Defense & Pratt and Miller the 30 mm Medium Caliber Weapon System (MCWS) which is integrated onto the U.S. Army’s Stryker in the framework of a US Army program to up-gun the military’s combat vehicle. As part of this program several MCWS were already supplied and integrated to the Stryker platforms.

RAFAEL’s participation in AUSA serves to present the company’s vision and achievements in supporting US operations by broadening and strengthening its industrial US Footprint. RAFAEL USA will be for the first time exhibiting together with the recently acquired subsidiary PVP Advanced EO Systems, Inc. (PVPAEO) a California based Electrooptical company which was acquired by RAFAEL USA in June 2022. PROTECTOR COMPLETES ACCEPTANCE TEST PROCEDURES

ATP Completion Signals Official Hand-Over of Aircraft to RAF

SAN DIEGO – 06 October 2022 – Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) for the first Protector RG Mk1 Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) system has been completed. Completion of ATP allowed for the official hand-over of the aircraft to the UK Royal Air Force (RAF), the launch customer of the MQ-9B RPA system developed by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI). Protector is a specially configured model of MQ-9B, designed to meet the unique requirements of the RAF.

The aircraft was accepted by Air Vice Marshal Simon Ellard, Director Combat Air at Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), the procurement arm of the UK Ministry of Defence. “It was a great pleasure to accept the official handover of the first Protector aircraft on behalf of the MOD, following the successful completion of Acceptance Test Procedures. We now look forward to the first delivery of this highly capable aircraft type to RAF Waddington during 2023,” he said.

RAF Air Commodore Alex Hicks said: “The acceptance of the first Protector aircraft is a significant and exciting milestone in the delivery of this world-class capability to the Royal Air Force. The aircraft will be used to train RAF technicians how to maintain the capability, prior to the arrival of the first aircraft in the UK next year.”

ATP was performed jointly by the UK Ministry of Defence and GA-ASI following the completion of the aircraft production and acceptance procedures. ATP includes all inspections and tests performed on the hardware in operation for the aircraft and in conformance with the functional specification and technical requirements. Over the past two months, ATP has been performed at GA-ASI’s Desert Horizon flight operations facility in El Mirage, Calif. The aircraft will remain in the U.S. to support maintenance and pilot training.

ATP was also completed on the first two sets of Portable Pre-flight and Post-flight Equipment (P3Es). P3E is laptop size ground support equipment that enables SATCOM Automatic Taxi, Takeoff and Landing Capability from anywhere in the world greatly reducing the personnel and equipment fielding footprint. This game-changing capability eliminates forward based launch and recovery crew/hardware/maintainers, as well as providing agile deployment with emergency divert field landing. Additionally the P3E doubles as ground support equipment when directly connected to the aircraft.

“This is another major milestone for MQ-9B and the Protector program,” said GA-ASI President David R. Alexander. “The Royal Air Force has been a great partner for General Atomics, and we’re thrilled to see ATP completed for this first customer aircraft.”

MQ-9B represents the next generation of RPA systems, having demonstrated airborne endurance of more than 40 hours in certain configurations, as well as a GA-ASI developed Detect and Avoid system. Its development is the result of a company-funded effort to deliver an RPA that can meet the stringent airworthiness certification requirements of various military and civil authorities.

MQ-9B has garnered significant interest from customers throughout the world. After the UK Ministry of Defence selected MQ-9B SkyGuardian® for its Protector program, the Belgian Ministry of Defense signed a contract for SkyGuardian. Later this year, the Japan Coast Guard will begin operations using the MQ-9B in the SeaGuardian® configuration.

In 2020, SOLIC and USSOCOM added a fifth POTFF domain, the Cognitive Domain, designed to enhance, monitor, advance, and protect the cognitive health and performance of the SOF operator. The goal is to maximize cognitive functioning of individual and collective SOF through appropriate monitoring exposures to blasts and impacts, assessing brain functioning and cognitive performance, and training. The primary priorities of the Cognitive Domain include cognitive enhancement, exposure monitoring, and brain health protection. USSOCOM, in conjunction with the Martino Center for Neurological Imaging, Massachusetts General Hospital, began a study on the effects of repetitive low-level blast exposure. This study, ReBlast, is among several initiatives breaking new ground in mapping and understanding Traumatic Brain Injury and its effects on cognitive function, neuroplasticity, and human performance.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

The 33rd Annual NDIA SO/LIC Symposium planning team continues to monitor the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation as the health of our event participants, members, and partners remains our top priority. We are committed to following the guidelines and precautions as outlined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Attendees can expect to see the following at NDIA events:

PROOF OF VACCINATION: At present, all attendees will be required to provide proof of full vaccination OR proof of a negative COVID-19 test within three (3) days prior to badge pick-up. NDIA will only allow the following tests that are administered by a medical professional: Rapid Antigen, Rapid PCR, and Regular PCR tests. Proof of antibodies or self administered/at-home tests will not be accepted. NOTE: COVID testing is the financial responsibility of the attendee.
MASKS: Attendees who are fully vaccinated (defined as 2 weeks after a 2 dose vaccine or 2 weeks after a single dose vaccine) may choose to wear a mask. Attendees who are unvaccinated will be required to wear a mask at all times indoors. Attendees should keep their masks conservative, professional, and in keeping with dignity and respect. Face coverings with demeaning or derogatory logos, profanity, offensive script or imagery, or political dissent are not authorized.

Is The End at Hand?

Readers it doesn’t get any more squirrely than what we’re experiencing these days, we roll out of the COVID pandemic, into a nasty inflationary period, a war in the Ukraine, Gov. Gavin Newcome running wild at The White House and signing into law authorizing the conversion of a deceased Californian into compost, the fentanyl murders and on-and-on. I hope you’re getting through this mess but I’m not sure that this is something we can control. So, to help us deal with the situation it’s time for a shoot the shit. Remember that a shoot the shit is a social interaction during which any topic can be discussed by participants who don’t know anything about the topic, are free to make any unsupported statement, use uncensored profanity, insult anyone they wish or change the subject. The beauty of a shoot the shit is that they are conducted in the absence of, and in lieu of, a psychologist, who is a jackass majoring in psychology so they could understand themselves, and saving you $150+ per hour. So, let’s shoot the shit…

For centuries, theologians have attempted to interpret the Bible’s Book of Revelations. The Book describes the 2nd Coming of Christ and the End Times. Believers feel that today we’re seeing signs revealed in the Bible; for example, the Global COVID Pandemic destroying the global economies and resulting in millions of deaths.The Book also repeatedly talks about the Anti-Christ. Believers feel that the Anti-Christ is already among us and pushing mankind to evil. I always thought that teaching 3rd grade kids about anal sex and fellatio was the doings of a psychologist suffering from penis envy, maybe not, but judging by the characterization of the Anti-Christ throughout the times, this could very well be the work of the Anti-Christ itself.

So who the heck is this Anti-Christ? Theologians have some very elaborate opinions but some believers think that the Anti-Christ is a person, so if it is a person, how will be know?

Earlier in the article, I mentioned that California’s Governor, Gavin Newsome, signed into law the right for a person to elect to become compost and subsequently be used as fertilizer, in the interest of climate change. Interestingly enough, I found ancient images suggesting something similar.

This picture is of centuries old Germany; suggesting the pushing of a corps into a cylinder and Christ attempting to stop him. It represents an interesting correlation with Gavin Newsome’s signing into law the Compost Rule. Coincidence?

This next picture is also of ancient origins depicting the essence of the Anti-Christ. On the right is Gavin Newsome looking like a poster boy for New Teeth Now, the similarities are striking.

This picture shows the Anti-Christ in a position of power, with access to intercontinental ballistic missiles. Interesting to note Gavin Newsome’s desire to be President of The United States, giving him access to the world’s largest nuclear arsenal and a sophisticated delivery systems, provided they’re not on Microsoft’s Windows 11.

There’s a great deal to think about in this shoot the shit, and I haven’t even touched on the 8 beasts that will attack Israel at the Jezreel Valley.

The original P226-XFIVE quickly became known the world over as the ultimate target pistol. Now SIG Custom Works is bringing that same legendary performance and precision back with an all new P226-XFIVE. Based on the venerable P226 platform, this 9mm Single-Action Only pistol is designed for maximum performance with a 5-inch bull barrel and a stainless steel frame delivering smooth, flawless action and unrivaled accuracy.

The P226-XFIVE can be adapted to any shooter’s preference with a fully adjustable trigger for pull weight, over-travel and a trigger shoe that is removeable and adjustable for length-of-pull. The adjustable Dawson-style rear sight plate can be removed to direct-mount a ROMEO1PRO, ROMEO2, or any other optic using the standard PRO footprint.

The P226-XFIVE is a Custom Works production release and comes with three 20-round steel magazines with alloy base pads.
