C&H Precision to attend CANCON in Savannah, Georgia

Richmond Hill, GA (NOV 10, 2022) – This year boasts an excellent exhibition of suppressed shooting at CANCON. CanCon will feature many different firearms, accessories and suppressor manufacturers. It is located in Savannah, Georgia, from November 11-13, 2022. There will be opportunities to fire and use these tools on the range. All ammunition is provided for those in attendance.

In attendance will be C&H Precision. This offers an excellent opportunity to meet the staff, ask questions about products, and see firsthand the quality they produce. Within the kit is a 3-inch drop-point flipper knife made from 7Cr17MoV steel. The blade has a satin finish and coyote tan G10 scales. Its liner lock makes it an easy knife to use and carry. A deep pocket clip is integrated into the handle, and a metal lanyard loop is present in the design. Overall, it is the perfect everyday carry blade.

A 9-in-1 multi-tool fills the needs not met with a knife. It includes spring-loaded pliers, needle nose pliers, a wire cutter, a bottle opener, a small knife, a file, a hook cutter, a flat driver and scissors. EAST ALTON, IL (November 10, 2022) — Last week, Team Winchester showcased why they are the most talented sporting clays competitors in the world. The Winchester all-stars shot for top honors at the National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) National Championship, Powered by Winchester, grand finale event of the season held in San Antonio, Texas. The event spans nine days and includes more than 2,300 sport shooters.
“We congratulate our team members and all competitors on an excellent year competing in the NSCA Championship Tour, Powered by Winchester, and the Winchester Ladies Cup,” said Brett Flaugher, president of Winchester Ammunition. It’s exciting to see our team so well represented at each shoot and consistently atop the leaderboard.”
It’s safe to say Team Winchester member Zach Kienbaum had a memorable week with first being inducted into the NSCA Hall of Fame and then ultimately claiming rights as the 2022 NSCA National Champion. This was Kienbaum’s third title — an honor that he also won in 2018 and 2019.
Other Team Winchester members had strong performances including NSCA Hall of Famer Anthony Matarese, winning third in the main event, and Desirae “Desi” Edmunds clinching runner-up in the main event Lady class. Joseph Fanizzi claimed 2022 Junior Champion, and Connor Daniel won his class at the National Championship as the top Sub-Junior in the main event. Theo Ribbs shot lights out throughout the event and was a top contender, and Kayla Wilgus locked up Sub-Junior Lady runner-up.
Congratulations to all Team Winchester members, including Eric Harvey, Mike Wilgus, Rollins Brown and Kemble du Pont Brown on an excellent event and terrific year. All Team Winchester members shoot Winchester AA shotshell ammunition — the choice of champions.

The Winchester Ladies Cup is added money that has been committed by Winchester Ammunition to help lift the winners’ earnings within the Lady class and encourage increased participation from a broader group of shooters. An additional $5,000 is split among the top three lady shooters with the highest cumulative scores at each of the eight NSCA Championship Tour events with $10,000 in added prize money awarded to the three lady shooters with the highest cumulative scores for the entire season. This season alone, there were 27 different Winchester Ladies Cup payouts for a total of $50,000.

EAST ALTON, IL (November 10, 2022) — The “Yackley Five” continued its run in 2022 as America’s most decorated family in the shooting sports, with major wins against some of the world’s toughest competition. The Yackley family includes father and mother, Mark and Becky, and three sons Tim, Sean and Andrew who all compete at various shooting sports events throughout the world representing Team Winchester.
“The Yackley family positively represents Team Winchester on so many levels: competition, training, education and responsible firearm ownership,” said Matt Campbell, vice president of sales and marketing. “They are successful for many reasons, but their work ethic and commitment to excellence are what set them apart.” 
Tim, one of the top-ranked practical shooters in the world, recently won first place and a $50,000 prize at the inaugural PrairieFire Championship event in Florence, Texas. The sizable prize pool drew some of the most talented shooters around the country, with Tim coming out on top thanks to his fast and accurate shooting.
In September, Becky competed in the Pan American Handgun Championship (level IV IPSC) and took first place in the Lady Standard division as well as won second in the Lady Standard at the 2022 IPSC Nationals along with a host of other placements at various events throughout the year.
Mark and the two younger sons, Sean and Andrew, did their own fair share of winning this year as well with solid performances in a number of events including USPSA Multigun Nationals; Wisconsin, Texas and Missouri 3-Gun Championships; and the Caribbean Open.
“The year 2022 has left me admiring the men my sons have become through the years of doing difficult things in order to be strong competitors. I’m proud of how they support one another and am thankful for the opportunities to take on challenges with them,” said Becky Yackley.

Toulon – 09/11/2022 – Exail, formerly ECA Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Australian company Solutions from Silicon to collaborate on providing advanced data management capabilities, enabling naval crews to prepare, conduct and manage their Mine Countermeasures (MCM) missions more efficiently.
Solutions from Silicon (SfS) develops MINTACS, the Mine Warfare Tactical Command Software engineered to increase the effectiveness of the capabilities of a naval Mine Warfare and Clearance Diving (MCD) Force. MINTACS increases the scope of mine warfare intervention areas and manages previous campaign history.
Under this MoU, Exail teams will integrate and interface SfS’s MINTACS software with Exail’s MCM solutions. Modules of the MINTACS software will also be integrated with Exail’s UMISOFTTM Mission Management System (MMS). The combination of the two software will allow crews to compare data between missions, detect changes between surveys and prepare future MCM missions. MINTACS is currently in service with navies around the world including Australia, the UK, Sweden, New Zealand and Thailand. Exail recently integrated MINTACS with UMISOFTTM as part of the Mine countermeasures vessel modernization program for the Latvian Navy.

SfS and Exail are considering further joint R&D activities in Australia and the agreement is testimony to Exail’s desire to nurture lasting partnerships with Australian industry. Whether hiking up and down the majestic Rocky Mountains, trekking through the plains, or foothills farther north, the hunt will be demanding. Western hunting requires packing a firearm and a large backpack full of all the essential gear the hunter may need. When a giant bull elk or a mature mule deer is spotted, the hunter only has a limited time to set up and make the shot. If the hunter needs to move to a different area, the QD can stay attached to the rifle or quickly detach, allowing the hunter to move to a different area quickly. The QD series provides the proper shooting position in any terrain, giving the shooter control, maneuverability, and stability, unlike conventional shooting sticks or bulky shooting rest.

When western hunting, you have to make quick decisions, and long hikes are involved. Sometimes the elk or mule deer you see can be over a mile away; having lightweight bipods or shooting sticks can make the trek easier. The QD weighs only 15 ounces and can outperform other bipods because of its range of 14” to 42”. The QD is like having a bipod and shooting stick in one. EAGLEVILLE, PA, November 7, 2022 – Streamlight® Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting and weapon light/laser sighting devices, launched the 2,000-lumen ProTac® 2.0 Headlamp, a high-performance rechargeable headlamp that also offers long run times. The headlamp is powered by the new Streamlight SL-B50® battery pack that charges directly via an integrated USB-C port.

“The new ProTac 2.0 Headlamp provides super bright light, along with the ease and convenience of recharging the new SL-B50 battery pack either inside or outside of the light via a USB-C charge cord,” said Streamlight Chief Revenue Officer Michael F. Dineen. “With 2,000 lumens of brightness and long run times, it’s a great choice for first responders, outdoor enthusiasts and industrial professionals alike.”

The ProTac 2.0 Headlamp uses the SL-B50 Streamlight proprietary 4,900mAh protected Lithium-Ion USB rechargeable battery, accessed by the light’s sliding sleeve. The battery is keyed to ensure proper alignment of the charging port, and features LED status lights to indicate charging status, including red for charging and green for fully charged. An integrated safety circuit protects the battery from accidental overcharge or discharge.

The new light offers the latest LED technology for extreme brightness and provides three operating modes – High, Medium and Low. On High, it delivers 2,000 lumens and 14,500 candela; on the Medium setting, it provides 650 lumens and 4,200 candela and on Low, it offers 110 lumens and 750 candela. Run times range from 25 hours on low to 2.25 hours on high.

The ProTac 2.0 Headlamp features a multi-function, push-button switch which permits one-handed operation of the light’s momentary and constant on modes. Its TEN-TAP® programmable switch allows for user selection of three different programs: high/medium/low (factory default); high only; or low/high.

Fabricated from 6000 series machined aircraft aluminum with an anodized finish, the ProTac 2.0 Headlamp features a glass lens with anti-reflective coating that also is gasket sealed.

The ProTac 2.0 Headlamp is 4.92 inches wide and 2.56 inches deep with a head diameter of 1.46 inches. It weighs 10.48 ounces with the included SL-B50 rechargeable battery. The light has an IP64-rated design for dust-tight and water-resistant operation, and is impact-resistant tested to 2 meters.

Available in black, the ProTac 2.0 Headlamp comes with a USB-C charge cord and both an adjustable elastic head strap that fits comfortably over the head, and a rubber hard hat strap that stays firmly in place. It has an MSRP of $195.00 and comes with Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Extrema Ratio pushes its innovative soul beyond the limits of reality and into the Extremaverse to create a virtual world with exclusive products for its customers.

The future of the Internet? A realization of the virtual reality dreams of so many sci-fi authors – from Philip K. Dick’s Johnny Mnemonic down to Ernest Cline’s Ready Player One – in which cyberspace becomes a parallel world that can be reached and lived in through dedicated interfaces not unlike our own reality.

This is the Metaverse. Named using a term first created by American sci-fi writer Neal Stephenson in his 1992 novel Show Crash, the Metaverse was conceived as a digital universe whose users live and interact through an Avatar by using wearable devices such as smart glasses, smart gloves, tactile suits, helmets and virtual reality visors. With everything deeply interwoven to the Web, the Metaverse allows users to live a life that’s parallel to their real-world life.

In a not too distant future, the Metaverse may very well become a true digital extension of the real world; users will be able to study and work on the other side of the world, buy products and services, operate on a critical patient, watch a movie as if they were on the set, play a videogame as if they were part of the program itself; all without leaving the comfort of their own homes.

The date of November 17, 2022 marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of the foundation of Extrema Ratio, which ever since its first day of activity has been striving to push ahead the borders of design, experience, innovation and emotion in the real world where its customers live. Now it is time for Extrema Ratio to become part of the parallel world of the Multiverse as well.

That’s why EXTREMAVERSE was established: a personalized virtual space where Metaverse users can live the Extrema Ratio experience either with or without wearable VR devices.

 

A set of unique digital works will also be available for purchase starting November 17, 2022, as Extrema Ratio introduces a collection of 25 unique NFTs (only 1 piece per each of the 25 models) representing our most iconic knives.
What are NFTs? Basically, they are like collectibles in digital format.

An NFT allows the buyer to own the original work, and contains an integrated authentication mechanism, allowing you to prove the ownership.
The company will launch the NFT collection on the OPENSEA platform based on the Polygon network, which uses ETH as payment currency.

We chose Polygon because in addition to being one of the largest blockchains, it offers faster, more reliable and cheaper NFT transactions for users compared to Ethereum platform.

Furthermore, users have the option to send these NFTs to other people, store them or sell them.

Galco’s High Ready™ chest holster system is the latest in an expanding line of torso-worn hunting and outdoor holsters.

The High Ready is ideal for comfortably carrying a large-frame semiauto when hunting, fishing, camping or hiking in bear country. Positioning on the chest keeps the handgun clear of gear carried near the waistline or on the back and allows rifle carry on either shoulder. It also helps keep the handgun dry when wading, and is a great choice for riding, whether on an ATV or horseback.

The High Ready’s outstanding comfort level comes from three major design features:

The first is its innovative backing plate, composed of a ballistic nylon front over a closed cell foam body. The back portion of the plate that rides against the wearer’s chest is lined with Galco’s Comfort Cloth™, an Adaptive Performance Mesh™ that provides padding and moisture wicking.

Secondly, the unique harness construction that allows the holster to pivot at three independent attachment points, maximizing freedom of movement and minimizing restriction. Three quickly-operated, highly secure metal side-release buckles attach the holster component to the harness straps at the pivot points.

Lastly, 2” wide tubular webbing harness straps distribute the weight of a heavy handgun for maximum comfort. One strap goes over either shoulder, while the second wraps around the torso for highly effective weight distribution.

The rigid, open-top Kydex holster pocket offers full slide coverage, provides fast draw and easy holstering, and facilitates a full firing grip. The holster pocket accommodates most red dot sights.

NSSF Adds Three New Compliance Consultants

WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, is pleased to announce it has added three professionals — Judyth LeDoux, Patricia Smith and Dale Krupinski — to its compliance consultants team.

LeDoux and Smith will join NSSF’s firearm retailer compliance consultants group, which offers expert guidance on federal regulatory compliance, and Krupinski will focus on providing expert guidance for Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance.

“We are extremely pleased to have these three experts, each having decades of experience, amplify NSSF’s ability to provide guidance to federal firearms licensees and shooting ranges so they can be prepared for a compliance audit immediately or in the future,” said John McNamara, Managing Director, Member Services with NSSF.

LeDoux served as the Director, Industry Operations of the Columbus Field Division for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) since July 2013, overseeing ATF regulatory enforcement operations in the states of Ohio and Indiana. Her extensive government career includes working for the Department of Justice, United States Attorney’s Office, and serving as Area Supervisor for the Columbus Field Division’s Cleveland III (Industry Operations) Field Office.

Smith has over 16 years of firearm industry experience, including as Industry Operations Inspector/Investigator with ATF. She conducted over 700 inspections of FFLs and worked as the Acting Area Supervisor for the Birmingham and Mobile Field Offices in the Nashville Field Division. In addition, Smith has trained Industry Operations Inspectors/Investigators and served as an Instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.

Krupinski has over 20 years experience in recognizing, evaluating and controlling workplace safety and health hazards. For the last decade, he’s worked with the shooting range industry to assess OSHA compliance and workplace exposures to airborne lead dust, noise and other hazards. Krupinski previously worked for OSHA as a Compliance Safety and Health Officer. He is a board-certified industrial hygienist and safety professional, as well as an OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer. He created On Target Safety Academy to provide training and technical occupational safety and health assistance to shooting ranges.

These new team members will assist with answering compliance hotline questions, conducting site visits through the NSSF Premium programs and with hosting live and online educational sessions.
