Rapid Force™ Duty Holster expands to include a Tactical Tan Kit for the Level III holster.

Post Falls, Idaho (January 2023) – Alien Gear Holsters®, designers and manufacturers of American-made holsters and firearms accessories, and the Rapid Force™ line of Level 2 and Level 3 Duty Holsters, introduce the Rapid Force Duty Holster in the Tan 499 colorway. The new Tan 499 holster will be exhibited at the 2023 SHOT Show® at Booth 10174, to be held Jan. 17 – 20, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Rapid Force Duty Holster in Tan 499, the official color adopted by the U.S. Army in 2019, is a 100 percent IR neutral tan, which will be offered in a Tactical Tan Kit. The kit will include a Rapid Force Level III holster with a mid-ride belt slide swivel drop leg and MOLLE attachments, along with Alien Gear’s Quick Detach System (QDS) for a seamless transition between reconfigurations. The Rapid Force Tan 499 Duty Holster will be available for the GLOCK 17, GLOCK 19, and SIG Sauer P320 (M17 or M18) with a weapon light and an optic hood.

DriX Unmanned Surface Vehicle takes part in Digital Horizon 22 military exercise organized by US Navy in Bahrain

Saint-Germain-en-Laye – 19/01/2023 – Exail, formerly iXblue, recently took part in the Digital Horizon Unmanned & Artificial Intelligence Exercise in Bahrain, organized by the US Navy. The U.S. Navy’s 5th Fleet held the three-week exercise in December to test new unmanned technologies, as part of its plans to establish the world’s first Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) fleet of one hundred drones in the Gulf by the end of the summer.

The current geopolitical situation means that manned assets are in increasing demand elsewhere, leading the Navy to look to the latest unmanned technologies to expand its capabilities. Vice Adm. Brad Cooper, commander of U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, U.S. 5th Fleet and Combined Maritime Forces, set up Task Force 59 last year to speed new tech integration across the 5th Fleet, and seek alternative, cost-effective solutions for conducting Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) missions. Maritime Domain Awareness can be defined as the effective understanding of military and non-military events in the maritime environment that could impact the security, safety, economy, or environment of a nation or a region.

Exail’s DriX USV was among the fifteen USVs and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) selected to participate in the exercise, which staged a Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) mission. The USVs and UAVs were tasked with gathering data on the surface in order to detect and identify potential threats. One of the main requirements was for the drones to communicate with each other using a common OPS system. The complementarity aspect of the different drones was also important, as the 5th Fleet aims to leverage the different capacities of each drone to cover a wide array of competencies in order to produce a Common Operating Picture of what is occurring in a specific zone of water.

With its highly hydrodynamic monohull and drop keel, DriX showed high reliability with excellent seakeeping and speed results, accomplishing its mission of gathering data on the surface and proving its capacity to successfully integrate third party radar and cameras. The ability of DriX to integrate within a military communications network was successfully proven, thanks to its wide range of communication means (including Certus, 4G, Wifi and Silvus). The USV further meets requirements in terms of communications redundancy, crucial for minimizing risk during military operations, and is fitted with an advanced collision avoidance system that ensures robust and safe autonomous navigation at sea.

The TT Small Combi Rig is a light, flexible, and modular belt harness.

Tasmanian Tiger®, a tactical nylon line of products distributed exclusively for the US market by Proforce Equipment, Inc., is pleased to introduce the TT Small Combi Rig, a light, flexible, and modular belt harness. It has a removable hook and loop magazine module which can be used on plate carriers. The accessories pocket and MOLLE side flaps are also removable.

The TT Small Combi Rig features adjustable, flat padded straps and removable laser-cut MOLLE side wings suitable for magazines or pouches. The back is covered in hook and loop, making it compatible with use as a front flap for plate carriers. The TT Small Combi Rig also has a hook and loop divider for individual division for the magazine module. Thus, it can be used for M4, G36, or AK magazines. It also has interchangeable magazine inserts for three M4 (PMAG) magazines (50g) and four pistol / MP7 magazines (40g). The TT Assault Pack (or similar) can be attached to the back of the TT Small Combi Rig.

The removable inside pocket is like the TT Tac Pouch 12 and features three loops on the back for glow sticks, etc. The bottom has a stretch insert and bungee cord for a tourniquet.

EAGLEVILLE, PA, January 17, 2023 – Streamlight® Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting tools, introduced the Stinger® Color-Rite®, a rechargeable LED flashlight that features high CRI light with Streamlight’s Color-Rite Technology® for true color recognition in a variety of first responder, outdoor, automotive, and other applications. The compact, powerful new light delivers up to 500 lumens.

The Stinger Color-Rite uses a High Color Rendering Index (90 CRI) LED for enhanced visualization under low light conditions, allowing users to see the color spectrum as they would in natural light. Its softer, warmer beam can help spot subtle details at fire and accident scenes, amplify tracks and blood trails, and match and identify colors in auto and industrial applications, among many other uses.

The new light joins the growing family of Streamlight products with Color-Rite® capability, including the Dualie® 3AA Color-Rite®, the Syclone®, the FlipMate®, the Strion Switchblade®, and the Stinger Switchblade®.

“The new Stinger Color-Rite is an excellent lighting choice for military and first responders, technicians, outdoor enthusiasts, and others when performing tasks under darkened conditions that require exacting attention to detail,” said Streamlight Chief Revenue Officer Michael F. The new rechargeable light uses a high-power, warm white, 3,000K, 90 CRI LED and features a deep-dish parabolic reflector that produces a concentrated beam with optimum peripheral lighting. It offers three variable lighting modes plus a strobe: High (500 lumens, 17,500 candela, 265-meter beam distance); Medium (275 lumens, 9,000 candela, 190-meter beam distance), and Low (140 lumens, 4,500 candela, 134-meter beam distance). Run times range from five hours on the Low setting to 1.5 hours on High, with the strobe mode providing three continuous hours.

Powered by a 3-cell, 3.6-volt, 2.6Ahr Ni-MH sub-C battery, the Stinger Color-Rite is rechargeable up to 1,000 times and fits all existing Stinger chargers. With a smart charger, it fully recharges in 4.5 hours using 5V/1A USB input, or three hours using 12V DC input. With a smart PiggyBack® charger, the light fully recharges in 7.5 hours using 5V/1A USB input or 4 hours using 12V DC input.

The Stinger Color-Rite is constructed from 6000 series machined aluminum that is anodized against corrosion and features an unbreakable polycarbonate lens with a scratch-resistant coating. Its multi-function, easy access, head-mounted push-button switch is designed for extremely long life. It also features a non-slip, rubberized comfort grip and an anti-roll rubber ring.

The Stinger Color-Rite weighs 12.4 ounces and measures 8.41 inches in length. IPX4-rated for water-resistant operation, it also is impact resistance-tested to one meter.

The Stinger Color-Rite has an MSRP ranging from $204.00-$300.50 (depending on model) and comes with Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.

The annual trade show will be held Jan. 17 – 20, 2023 at The Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum in Las Vegas, Nevada.
