Greek Purchases SPIKE Missiles in 370 Million Euro Deal
Greek Purchases SPIKE Missiles in 370 Million Euro Deal
The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence is acquiring RAFAEL’ SPIKE Missiles in agreement which is valued at approximately 370 million Euros.
Director General of the Israel Ministry of Defense, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Eyal Zamir and the Greek Director of the General Directorate for Defence Investments and Armaments, Vice Admiral (rtd) Aristeidis Alexopulos signed a GTG agreement for the export of naval, air and land-based SPIKE missiles manufactured by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd.
Maj. Gen. (Res.) Yoav Har-Even, CEO and President of RAFAEL: “We welcome the agreement with the Greek Ministry of Defense and thank the Israeli Ministry of Defense for promoting cooperation with Greece in general and in regards to this deal in particular. The SPIKE missiles will strengthen the Greek army’s portfolio of operational tools and we expect further expansion through strategic collaborations in the near future.”
Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant: “This project joins a series of agreements between the State of Israel and the Hellenic Republic, and further emphasizes the strong partnership between our countries and our defense establishments, as well as our mutual commitment to ensuring regional stability.
I commend our defense industries – our technological capabilities enable the State of Israel to make positive economic and political achievements.”
Director General of the Israel Ministry of Defense, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Eyal Zamir: “This agreement with the Hellenic Ministry of National Defense is yet another expression of the strategic partnership between Israel and Greece. It is part of a series of agreements worth billions of shekels which we have signed in the last two years, including the recent update of the Greek Air Force Pilot Training Center’s capabilities.”

Sporting Clays in the Desert, Team Winchester Competes at the 2023 US Open
EAST ALTON, IL (April 7, 2023) — The dust has settled in the Sonoran Desert as the 2023 NSCA US Open has come to a close. The event was held at the famous Coyote Springs Sporting Clays range located at Tucson Trap & Skeet with hundreds of the country’s most elite competitors attending.
The US Open is the first stop on the 2023 NSCA Championship Tour, Powered by Winchester.
The Winchester Ladies Cup kicked off its third year as part of the Tour, the first time it has led off at the US Open.
Team Winchester member Anthony Matarese shined with his championship in the FITASC event. The Matarese FITASC streak continued, building off his victory two weeks ago at the Gator Cup. He also locked additional honors in several events throughout the competition.
Desi Edmunds shot consistently well throughout the entire event and claimed the ladies event in Super Sporting. Super Sporting is much like sporting clays except there are three traps on each station instead of the standard of two.
The youth competitors on Team Winchester led by Joe Fanizzi, Conor Daniel and Kayla Wilgus also added several podium finishes to their already impressive young resumes.

ASA Testifies Against WA Anti-gun Bill
ASA Testifies Against WA SHB 1240…
On Thursday, March 23rd, ASA Executive Director Knox Williams testified before the Washington State Senate Committee on Law & Justice in opposition to Substitute House Bill 1240. The bill, as written, could create a legal quandary for current and future suppressor owners in the Evergreen State by creating a case in which a suppressor owner could have “constructive possession” of an “assault weapon” in Washington if they legally possess a suppressor and also legally possess certain semi-automatic firearms at the same time.

The biggest news in March comes out of Washington State, where a rabidly aggressive anti-gun bill is on the move. House Bill 1240, sponsored by Representative Strom Peterson, seeks to ban almost every semi-automatic firearm imaginable. Like most ill-informed hardware bans, HB 1240 specifies the criteria that turn a “normal” firearm into an “assault weapon.” One of those criteria is…you guessed it…a suppressor.

Kansas City, KS (April 5, 2023) – The CZ Shadow 2 and enhanced Shadow 2 Orange excel in practical shooting competitions and are now more affordable, starting at $1099. In matches like the Production Division of USPSA and IPSC, where competitors need both speed and accuracy to win, Shadow 2 pistols provide a competitive edge. Both pistols come from a lineage of high-performance DA/SA hammer-fired pistols, inheriting competition-winning features. The Orange model includes the match-grade features found on Shadow 2, plus several crucial upgrades—the Orange delivers custom pistol performance from a production gun with an MSRP of $1699.
Engineers purpose-built the Shadow 2 race gun with an impressive list of improvements over its predecessors. CZ started with one goal—creating the perfect sport shooting pistol. They lengthened the slide, increasing the pistol’s sight radius and making it easier to achieve accurate hits. Adding an extended dust cover on its frame increased the weight and shifted the balance slightly forward, dampening the recoil and reducing the muzzle jump. Also, the slide tapers as it approaches the muzzle, slicing weight away above the bore’s centerline, keeping the pistol flat as it cycles. The Shadow 2 utilizes the proven CZ 75 ergonomic grip angle shape providing natural aim while aggressive texturing secures the pistol in hand.
In contrast, the Shadow 2 Orange sports brightly-colored orange grips, mag bases, and mag release. CZ wanted to signal this model was unique. The beauty of the Shadow 2 Orange is more than skin deep—the pistol is more accurate too. CZ polished the barrel and fitted an externally installed, removable bushing. The new bushing assembly tightened the tolerances between the barrel and the slide, delivering smaller groups on paper.
Further accuracy enhancements to the Orange come from hand-fitting the slide at the factory. Slide rails start oversized and are slowly fit to the frame until it cycles like it’s sliding on glass. An improved trigger with a short reset comes standard on the Shadow 2 Orange. Less trigger travel shaves precious milli-seconds, which means follow-up shots are faster. The barrel and hammer are polished to help achieve a smoother shooting experience. It’s all about speed and the Shadow 2 Orange delivers.
The Shadow 2 and Shadow 2 Orange are superior competition pistols, loaded with high-performance features competitors need to win at new price points. Head to head, the Shadow 2 Orange has a clear performance advantage, but either is a solid choice for action pistol shooting sports.

In a continued effort to maintain an equal platform for all of our retailer and distributor platforms, Guard Dog Security will be taking on additional measures to enforce our Minimum Advertised Price Policy (MAP policy), which includes added steps to regulate list prices on online channels and publications. This aims to set a unified policy to our resellers and will promote fair and equal opportunities. Exceptions for promotions, sales, etc. will be made on a case-by-case basis. We are proud to have made great progress in the last few years in this area, and we are determined to continue to invest in our MAP prices and policies in the months ahead.

IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL NOTICE REGARDING CZ 600 BOLT-ACTION RIFLES
CZ-USA has recently learned of a potential safety issue with the CZ 600 bolt-action rifles. CZ-USA is voluntarily initiating a recall of these rifles to protect the safety of its customers because of the potential for a catastrophic failure if the barrel is not installed correctly.
To prevent the possibility of death or serious personal injury, you should immediately stop using your CZ 600 rifle and not load or fire it until it has been returned to CZ-USA to be inspected and modified.
CZ 600 rifles were designed to allow the users to replace the barrels themselves to change the caliber. CZ-USA has learned that if the barrel is improperly installed, it is possible that the rifle could still be fired, but potentially result in a catastrophic failure. CZ-USA will correct this issue by permanently installing the barrels in CZ 600 rifles. As a result, the barrels on CZ 600 rifles will no longer be interchangeable. CZ-USA understands that this solution may not be acceptable to some of our customers, in which case we will issue a full refund upon presentation of a valid receipt for the purchase of your rifle.
