The 4.25″ match grade bull barrel is crowned, and bull nosed, and comes chambered in 9mm or .45 ACP. The custom Railscales G10 grips are thinned down and custom engineered specifically for the Ambassador Series. The Nitride finish ensures durability over time and sports titanium blue grip screws. POLISH MOD TO ACQUIRE BATCH OF SPIKE LR MISSILES IN A NEW DEAL WITH RAFAEL & POLISH MESKO
August 6, 2023: The Polish Ministry of Defense, through its Armament Authority, announced that it is purchasing hundreds of SPIKE LR Missiles through RAFAEL’s local industrial partner, MESKO, in a deal worth around 100 Million Dollars.
As RAFAEL’s local Polish industrial partner, MESKO has already manufactured SPIKE Missiles for the Polish MOD, and this will be the third such deal involving the SPIKE Missile Family. MESKO and RAFAEL have collaborated in working with the Polish market since 2003, allowing for the sale of completely “Poland-ized” missiles to be provided for the Polish user. The robust local manufacturing capabilities have provided the Polish MOD with over 3,000 SPIKE missiles that are entirely Polish-made.
The legacy of success between RAFAEL and MESKO has brought about yet another achievement. Through 20 years of joint work, the companies have helped support the Polish defense establishment in securing the country’s valued assets and providing its armed forces with the most sophisticated technology of its kind in the world.
In keeping with RAFAEL’s global strategy, the support of local industry and allowing for not only technology transfer but also know-how has brought about another example of local industrial success and a thriving global partnership. This latest agreement further strengthens the existing relationship, and more similar deals are expected in the future.

Slim, High-Performance Light Designed for Easy Pocket Carry, One-Handed Use
EAGLEVILLE, PA, August 3, 2023 – Streamlight®, Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting, launched the USB-C rechargeable Wedge® XT, the latest in its line of high-performance everyday carry (EDC) lights. Delivering up to 500 lumens for two hours on high, and measuring just 4.25 inches, the new light features a flat, low-profile design that allows for concealed carry in either pocket, and a tactical push-button tail switch for easy, one-handed use.
“Like the popular Wedge® EDC light, the unique, ergonomic design of the Wedge XT makes it the perfect concealed carry light for patrol duty, tactical maneuvers, and automotive, industrial, or DIY uses,” said Michael F. Dineen, Streamight’s Chief Revenue Officer. “It’s also perfect for outdoor uses, including hunting, camping, boating, or just about any activity where you need a dependable light on hand for instant, bright illumination.”
The new light features an intuitive tail switch that provides tactile control over the light’s momentary or constant-on operation. A Five-Tap™ lockout feature of the switch also prevents the light from turning on inside a pocket or bag. A handy deep-pocket clip secures the light to any pocket or other places for easy access.
The Wedge XT uses power LED technology to provide two output levels: On High, it offers 500 lumens, 1,900 candela, an 87-meter beam distance and a run time of two hours. The Low setting provides 50 lumens, 200 candela, a 28-meter beam distance and a run time of 11 hours. A TEN-TAP® programmable switch allows users to select from two different programs: high/low or low/high.
The Wedge XT features an integrated 950 mAh lithium polymer cell battery that can be conveniently recharged in the light by plugging the included USB-C cord into the waterproof USB port. The battery fully recharges in six hours; red and green indicator LEDs above the charge port provide charge status.
Made from rugged anodized aluminum and featuring a polycarbonate lens, the Wedge XT balances durability with performance. Measuring 4.25 inches long and 1 inch high, it weighs 2.62 ounces with the battery. It is IPX7-rated for waterproof operation to one meter; it also is impact-resistance tested to one meter.
Available in black and coyote, the Wedge XT has an MSRP of $155.00 and comes with Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.

New for 2023, Holosun Delivers a Solar Charging Rifle Sight
City of Industry, CA (August 3, 2023) – It is well known that solar backup optics are just that, a backup. Generally, a solar panel attached to an optic will power the optic reticle and not charge the device battery. These solar panels do not mitigate the need for battery changes but can act as an ambient power supply for the reticle or a backup if/when a battery fails. This changes now as Holosun releases the SCRS in 2023.
The SCRS (Solar Charging Rifle Sight) advances Holosun’s SCS technology, creating an all-new, ultra-compact 20mm tube sight designed for rifle applications. The SCRS features multi-directional light sensors, an advanced auto mode for automatic reticle intensity settings, and a manual mode for manual dot intensity control. The 20,000-hour power reserve is stored in an internal solar charging battery, providing ample power to charge three different reticle styles: 65 MOA Circle & 2 MOA Dot, 2 MOA Dot, or 65 MOA Circle. T4000 S Ranger Limited Edition is supplied in an IP67 certified watertight Polypropylene technical case, with pressurization valve, resistant to atmospheric agents, dust and shocks. GA-ASI MOJAVE STOL UAS COMPLETES FIRST DIRT OPERATION
Mojave Demonstrates Takeoff and Landing Versatility on Unimproved Surface
SAN DIEGO – 03 August 2023 – On August 1, 2023, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) completed multiple successful takeoffs and landings with its Mojave Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) on a dirt strip near El Mirage, Calif.
The ability to take off and land on unimproved surfaces demonstrates Mojave’s departure from traditional fixed-wing aircraft’s dependance on prepared runways. This new capability provides greater versatility and allows the aircraft to operate in areas previously deemed unsuitable for UAS operations.
“Being able to execute missions in austere locations with runway independence opens the operational envelope for commanders across all services and geographic locations,” said GA-ASI President David R. Alexander. “Mojave can do this while retaining significant advantages in endurance and persistence over Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) and manned aircraft.”
The flight tests were the first-ever Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) on a dirt surface for Mojave. Takeoffs were performed in as little as 586 feet; and short landings were completed in as little as 335 feet. The tests were primarily focused on gathering terrain feedback using Mojave, not achieving the shortest distances possible.
Tracing its lineage from the MQ-1C Gray Eagle and MQ-9 Reaper, Mojave is a technical demonstrator with STOL capability, making it a versatile expeditionary UAS. Adhering to Modular Open System Approach (MOSA) principles, Mojave leverages the modernized avionics, data links, sensor integration, and laptop ground control station of GA-ASI’s Gray Eagle 25M program. These features – along with Mojave’s enlarged wings with high-lift devices, combat-proven 450-HP turbine engine, and ruggedized landing gear – make it ideal for semi-improved surfaces with a small ground support footprint.
Mojave provides options for forward-basing operations without the need for typical airport runways or infrastructure, so it can be rapidly deployed from and recovered to non-traditional discrete locations. To extend operational reach, Mojave can fit into a C-130 and be rapidly assembled and employed. These innovations make Mojave the perfect UAS to perform Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Target Acquisition (RSTA), attack, and contested logistics support missions.
Designed to be rapidly deployable and expeditionary, Mojave’s tailored features include a ruggedized airframe that enables operations in austere conditions and weatherization that enables flight in wider environmental windows. Robust wing storage means it can carry up to 16 Hellfire or equivalent missiles, assorted munitions, Launched Effects (LEs), or logistical resupply pods. Mojave can provide greater operational flexibility while still being equipped with a multi-sensor suite that includes Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR), Synthetic Aperture Radar/Ground Moving Target Indicator (SAR/GMTI), Electronic Intelligence (ELINT), and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) to support land or maritime missions throughout Joint All-Domain Operations (JADO).

These recoil buffers mount to Mesa Tactical’s US-patented LEO® and High-Tube® line of telescoping AR stock adapters. The new agreement will provide Mesa Tactical customers with additional recoil reducing options by up to 90%.
Any Mesa Tactical telescoping stock kit can be upgraded with a KynSHOT adjustable or non-adjustable hydraulic recoil buffer which replaces the receiver extension tube, converting the AR-15 telescoping stock into a recoil-buffered stock assembly. The products combine KynSHOT’s time-tested hydraulic recoil buffers with Mesa Tactical’s precision-machined, investment cast aircraft grade aluminum stock adapters, meeting the stringent standards of military and law enforcement users. The new adjustable hydraulic recoil buffer offers the greatest upgrade by allowing professional operators to reduce recoil by up to 90%. Developed by NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, National Shooting Sports Month is marking its seventh year of celebrating the great American pastime of target shooting. Whether you enjoy hearing the clang of hitting steel plates with a handgun, shattering clay targets with a shotgun or hitting a target 100 yards away with a rifle, the shooting sports have something for you. Target shooting is fun, safe and welcoming to those who have never fired their first shots. 1.Mentoring/+ONE® Movement
It helps to have a mentor show you the ropes when learning a new activity. NSSF’s +ONE Movement asks experienced shooters to guide newcomers and novices on how to safely handle firearms and develop their marksmanship skills. British Army to get counter-drone SMASH smart weapon sights (Source Army Technology)
SMASH smart-weapon sights for the British Army infantry SA80 A3 assault rifle will arrive this year, providing anti-drone capabilities.

Infantry personnel of the British Army will soon receive a cutting-edge weapon sight that will give them a tactical advantage against uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs), according to a press release from Defense Equipment & Support (DE&S), the independent procurement agency of the Ministry of Defense.
The SmartShooter SMASH Smart Weapon Sight Fire Control System will enable dismounted personnel to target micro and mini UAVs with a high success probability.
This Counter-Small Uncrewed Air Systems (C-sUAS) capability will initially be installed on the SA80 A3 assault rifle and can be added to other individual weapons already in service.
The additional capability will aid infantry in identifying a target, monitoring its movements, and sustaining a focus on the target regardless of user or target movement.
“The importance of uncrewed aerial vehicles on the modern battlefield is undeniable,” said James Cartlidge, Minister for Defense Procurement. “Alongside procuring, developing and deploying this technology in a range of different ways, we must also be proactive in ensuring our Armed Forces can protect against their use by adversaries.”
In January of this year, Smartshooter successfully passed two prototype systems through readiness tests for the Individual Weapon Overmatch Optic (IWOO) project.
Using a see-through display, the IWOO system automatically detects, highlights, and tracks potential targets, including drones. While the soldier has the smart weapon site active, an overlay on the lens will indicate the direction to aim to in order to hit even a small aerial target moving at speed.
While the soldier is activating the firearm by applying pressure to the trigger, the system suppresses the firing mechanism until the rifle is aimed on the correct trajectory to hit its target.
Col. Paul Cummings, DE&S Dismounted Close Combat (DCC) Portfolio Leader, said that delivering this capability to soldiers by the end of the year is a sign of the commitment within DCC to being equipped for future tasks. “It’s great to see the way in which the team has reacted to tackling this emerging threat, through trials and testing, achieving contract award in short time,” said Cummings.
Under the new five-year Framework Agreement, an initial £4.6 m order for SMASH sights worth up to £20m has been approved for delivery to operational readiness units across the Dismounted Close Combat (DCC) community by the end of this year.
The contract with the Yorkshire-based SME Viking Arms Ltd will enable the delivery of additional sights to dismounted close combat operators in the Army, Navy, and RAF over the next few years, based on operational and readiness requirements.
SMASH sights are the first equipment capability delivery from Army Land Ground Based Air Defense Program Project 6, providing C-sUAS capability to dismounted and mounted soldiers.
