(September 2023) – Walk The Talk America (WTTA), a non-profit organization bridging the gap between mental health and responsible firearm ownership, is hosting its first sweepstakes for qualified entrants to win various prizes! This sweepstakes is open now until Oct. 8, 2023, 11:59:59 EST.

The sweepstakes can be entered by donating to WTTA through WTTA’s designated online donation portal. By donating $20, the entrant will get one entry into the Gold Tier with prizes up to $599 in value. Donating $40 gets an entry into the Platinum Tier with prizes up to $999 in value. For every 65 entrants into a tier, one winner will be selected at the end of the sweepstakes to pick a prize in the tier they entered! The Scout 3.0’s open top and full firing grip accessibility combine for a fast and easy draw – critically important in fast-moving self-defense situations. The reinforced holster mouth provides a safe and simple return to the holster after action.

The Scout is constructed with the rough side of the leather out. This construction method provides additional stability in the waistband, as well as a smooth leather holster pocket for a faster, slicker feel on the draw.

The Scout 3.0’s versatility comes from its adjustability for cant and angle. You like to carry in the currently-hot appendix position? Adjust the belt clip to a neutral (vertical) cant. Prefer a more traditional strongside behind-the-hip position? Just angle the clip to accommodate. Like a crossdraw carry? Move the clip the other direction!

Fanizzi, Daniel, Edmunds Headline NSCA South Central Regional 

EAST ALTON, IL (September 25, 2023) — Team Winchester traveled to the beautiful Covey Rise Gun Club in Louisiana, competing in the latest NSCA Championship Tour regional event, Powered by Winchester.
Desirae Edmunds, Connor Daniel and Joe Fanizzi led the way, shooting consistently throughout the event. Daniel won yet another Sub-Junior Main event and was locked in on some of the toughest targets on the course. Fanizzi shot well throughout the week long event and finished as the Runner-Up. Edmunds was a consistent force in every event, winning the Ladies FITASC title by five targets and securing runner up in the Winchester Ladies All-Around for the event.

Fox Business reported on this continued discriminatory practice of major banking institutions and payment processors refusing services because officials in those financial sectors politically disagree with Second Amendment rights.

“Discrimination against firearm manufacturers and retailers is not a new phenomenon but it is long past time this practice is ended,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “Major banks, and the payment processors they support, benefit from taxpayer dollars to insure they stay afloat, including the multi-trillion-dollar bailout they enjoyed at taxpayer expense. The discriminatory practice of denying banking services to a Constitutionally-protected industry with which they politically disagree is an abuse of those taxpayer funds. American taxpayers should not be forced to fund banks that actively work to erase their rights. The Second Amendment is not for sale.”

Sen. Cruz, in his capacity as Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, recently wrote to Intuit, a payment processor, that reversed their discriminatory policies of denying QuickBooks services to firearm manufacturers and retailers. The change came only after Senate inquiries into the discriminatory practices. Intuit claimed the policy was directed to them by JP Morgan Chase and Bank of America, both banks that hold discriminatory policies against the firearm industry and refuse banking services in an effort to starve them of essential financial services.

NSSF supports legislative efforts to halt these discriminatory practices by financial service providers, including the Firearm Industry Nondiscrimination (FIND) Act (S. 428/H.R. 53), introduced by Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) and U.S. Rep. Jack Bergman (R-Mich.). This vital legislation would end the ability of corporate entities to profit from taxpayer-funded federal contracts while discriminating against a Constitutionally-protected industry at the same time.

NSSF also supports the Fair Access to Banking Act (S. 293/H.R. 2743), introduced by Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) and U.S. Rep. Andy Barr (R-Ky.). These bills would require banks to provide access to services, capital and credit based on the objective risk assessment of individual customers, rather than subjective broad-based decisions affecting whole categories or classes of customers.

Military vehicles face a variety of challenges in the field. The missions are characterized by demanding environmental conditions as well as extreme weather conditions. Impassable terrain, different soil conditions, but also heat, cold, precipitation and dust must not impair performance. In addition, it must be possible for military units to network with each other. This requires the transmission of even higher data rates. Depending on the application and transmission distances, the use of optical fibers is unavoidable.

Complexity requires a multi-product solution for connectors

The requirements for the transmission of current, high voltage, data technology or fiber optics are so different that they usually cannot be integrated into one connector. Therefore, a multi-product solution is sought. ODU offers the advantage of a one-stop-shop. Standard cable assemblies are offered for various data technology protocols: USB, HDMI, Displayport or coax connector. Often, the connected subsystem is crucial. For this reason, for example does a reconnaissance device or other optotronics require high-frequency connectors that ensure connection to printed circuit boards. On the other hand, a HUB in the vehicle ensures data exchange via an Ethernet hub.

Nevertheless, there are applications that prefer a single-product solution. SAN DIEGO – 21 September 2023 – The Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies and General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) presented the 2022 Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Squadron of the Year Award to the 2nd Special Operations Squadron (SOS) at a special ceremony at the Air Force Association’s Air, Space & Cyber Conference on Sept. 11, 2023. The award is given annually to the Squadron that distinguishes itself through its employment of RPA in meritorious service.

The 2022 award was presented by Lt. Gen. Jim Slife, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations for the U.S. Air Force; GA-ASI President David R. Alexander; and Lt. Gen. (Ret.) David A. Deptula, the Dean of the Mitchell Institute.

The 2nd SOS, known as the Scorpions, are based out of Hurlburt Field, Florida. The Scorpions flew over 16,000 hours throughout 2022 in support of Operation ENDURING SENTINEL, Operation OCTAVE SHIELD, and Operation INHERENT RESOLVE. The Squadron also paved the way for satellite launch and recovery operations during Emerald Flag, and they demonstrated Reaper Agile Combat Employment. The Scorpions accelerated progress towards realizing the Department of the Air Force’s future concepts of operation for unmanned systems in the 2020s and beyond.

“I was thrilled to present the award to the Scorpions for their extraordinary use of MQ-9A Reapers in the defense of our country,” said Alexander. “They expanded their use of Reapers and demonstrated how capabilities like Automatic Takeoff and Landing could be effectively executed from home units within the U.S. to anywhere in the world using satellite beyond-line-of-sight connectivity.”

The 2nd SOS flew demonstrations both in Large Force Exercises, including the first time an MQ-9A conducted Agile Combat Employment as part of Emerald Flag 2022, and they also employed these procedures in combat environments for the first time in two different classified areas of responsibility (AOR). Making a Point on the Most Reliable 22LR Pistol

Richmond Hill, GA (September 21, 2023) – .22LR Pistols are easily the most affordable to shoot and worthwhile purchases for those training or even the survivalist-minded. Ruger has long produced one of the most popular .22lr semi-automatic pistols to ever hit the market. Their Ruger MK I-III was not only popular but saw a lot of industry competition as development advanced. As time passed and pistols developed to become easier to field strip, Ruger took the platform and made a new MK variant that could easily break down to be cleaned: the MK IV.

While the MK IV came in a wide range of grip styles, that didn’t detract from the versatility and utility of the firearm. With many models of the RUGER MK IV coming standard with a rail system, users could add optics that mounted via Weaver or Picatinny mounting systems. This made it possible for a user to become more accurate or comfortable with the system, but the reality is that most pistol red dots don’t have this mounting system.

C&H Weapons Systems is releasing an entire line of MKIV mounting plates, which replace the factory rail and can be adapted for a near custom and solid fitment of various red dot optics designed exclusively for pistol use. C&H plates are mounted to the receiver via two screws to align with the factory mount placements. There is no adverse effect on irons installed, and it allows for a shooter to co-witness or increase height with factory optic risers for adapting to suppressor use.

In the first release, scheduled for shipping to begin around September 10th, 2023, three plate footprints will be available for purchase. They will be Lite to Holosun (Holosun 407K / 507K / C&H EDC), Lite to Trijicon (Trijicon RMR / SRO / Holosun 407C / 507C / 508T / C&H EDC-XL / COMP), or Lite to Aimpoint (Aimpoint ACRO / C&H DUTY) and is the only mount to have a railed section.

San Diego’s Air & Space Museum Will Induct Global UAS Leader on Oct. 21

SAN DIEGO – 20 September 2023 – General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) will be inducted into International Air & Space Hall of Fame during an event at the San Diego Air & Space Museum on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023. The Museum is honoring GA-ASI for its celebrated history of developing and implementing unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) that have supported worldwide security and defense for more than three decades.

Poway, Calif.-based GA-ASI is renowned globally for its advanced remotely piloted aircraft systems, particularly the Predator® series which includes the advanced MQ-9A Reaper and MQ-9B SkyGuardian®. GA-ASI continues to innovate and enhance its UAS capabilities, expanding its product lineup to include additional variants and technology. The company’s contributions to the field of unmanned systems have significantly impacted military operations and have paved the way for developments in civilian and commercial applications.
