SHOT SHOW 2024: SPYDERCO’S BODACIOUS and ENUFF 2

Spyderco is one of a few knife makers that can accurately be described as world class. Design, construction and materials are the absolute best and their support for our military is well know. At this year’s Shot Show, Spyderco introduced a number of pocket folders but their BODACIOUS is at the very top of my list.

SPYDERCO BODACIOUS

 

The BODACIOUS shares some characteristics with Spyderco’s SHAMAN but with some discrete differences like its missing front finger coil which translates to a longer cutting edge. The scales are also flatter on BODACIOUS making it a bit lighter 4.8oz v 5.2oz. SHAMAN and BODACIOUS have similar lengths, and like SHAMAN,  BODACIOUS features a CPM S30V  blade steel with a gorgeous flat grind.

A number of years ago, I had the opportunity to review Spyderco’s ENUFF LEAF, a great small fixed blade knife, and at this year’s Shot Show I took a look at its big brother the ENUFF 2

The ENUFF series of fixed blade knives was created by Spyderco’s co-founder Sal Glesser . The ENUFF 2 features the same design as the ENUFF line but provides a longer blade. The grip scales are fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN) with bi-directional texturing, and a skeletonized full-tang construction as the original Enuffs.

ENUFF’s 2 blade is 3.95 inches (100mm) of VG-10 steel with a full-flat grind that is 43 percent longer than the original Enuff knives.

Kansas City, KS (January 23, 2024) – Fortune favors the prepared, so when looking for a versatile rifle and cartridge combination, look no further than the CZ 600 TRAIL, now chambered in the .300 AAC. The lightweight bolt-action rifle packs AR-style familiarity into its compact design. CZ initially offered the Trail in the popular .223 Rem and 7.62×39 cartridges, and it quickly became the go-to gun for adventure-seekers needing portable firepower. While these rounds are excellent choices, CZ saw the need for a subsonic cartridge capable of both hunting big game and for personal defense. The exceptionally lightweight lights, designed to fit full-size and compact handguns with rails, also offer customizable rear paddle switches featuring a low or high position to match users’ shooting styles.

“Like other models in the TLR line, the TLR-7 X USB/TLR-7 X are designed to maximize visibility and targeting capability in a variety of home defense and tactical applications,” said Streamlight President and Chief Executive Officer Ray Sharrah. “These newest models are also ‘multi-fuel,’ giving users the choice of using either a cost-saving SL-B9™ USB-C rechargeable battery pack or a 3-volt CR123A lithium battery, depending on availability or user preference.”

The TLR-7 X USB/TLR-7 X feature a white power LED that delivers 5,000 candela and 500 lumens over a beam distance of 140 meters. Their custom TIR optic produces a concentrated beam while also optimizing peripheral illumination. They offer two lighting modes, LED only or LED strobe, and a run time of 1 hour with the SL-B9 Li-Ion 850mAh USB-C rechargeable pack or 1.5 hours when using a CR123A battery. The SL-B9 battery pack charges within 2.5 hours via a USB-C port on the battery or optional bank charger.

Securely fitting to a broad range of weapons, the new TLR-7 X USB/TLR-7 X feature a one-handed, snap on and tighten interface that keeps hands away from gun muzzles when attaching or detaching them. The lights also include a “safe-off” feature, locking it so it cannot be turned on accidentally. A key kit is included to securely fit the lights to the broadest array of handguns of any light on the market.

Constructed with 6000 Series machined aircraft aluminum with an anodized finish, the TLR-7 X models weigh 2.48 ounces with a disposable battery and 2.64 ounces with the SL-B9 battery pack. They measure 2.58 inches in length.

With extensively live-fire tested, impact-resistant construction, the new models feature an IPX7-rated design, making them waterproof to 1 meter for 30 minutes.

The new lights are packaged with a high switch mounted on the light plus an included low switch and are available in Black or Flat Dark Earth. The TLR-7® X USB, which comes with one SL-B9 battery pack and a USB-C cable, has an MSRP of $265.66. The TLR-7® X, packaged with one CR123A battery, has an MSRP of $253.66. The FDE models have MSRPs that range from $266.29 to $278.29. Each light comes with Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Long Gun Rail Mount Lights Now Deliver up to 22,000 Candela

EAGLEVILLE, PA, January 29, 2024 – Streamlight® Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting and weapon light/laser sighting devices, introduced upgraded models of its TLR® RM 1 and TLR® RM 2 series of lights, each now featuring an HPL (High Performance, High Lumen) face cap for a super-bright beam of up to 1,000 lumens and an extended reach of up to 22,000 candela.

The popular TLR RM 1 and TLR RM 2 models, both also available with red or green lasers, have been upgraded with the new face cap to provide improved beam distance when mounted to long guns.

“The addition of the HPL face cap to these models results in high lumen lights that also deliver a powerful beam with extensive range and solid peripheral coverage,” said Streamlight President and Chief Executive Officer Ray Sharrah. “Their ability to put more light on a target at a distance makes them powerful tools for law enforcement professionals, military personnel, hunting and shooting enthusiasts and others when operating under low-light conditions. And the models with integrated red and green aiming lasers help to improve focusing on targets before taking any action.”

Packaged as a system, each rail mounted light features independently operating push-button and remote pressure switches that provide momentary or constant on operation; the kit provides everything users need to mount to long guns. The lights are also available in light-only models.

The laser models include a three-position mode selector to switch between LED only, LED/Laser or Laser only modes. The face cap on all the lights offers a ‘safe-off’ feature to prevent unintentional activation.

The upgraded models are designed to quickly and securely attach to any long gun with a MIL Standard 1913 or NATO Rail, without the need for hands in front of the muzzle. The lights offer highly accurate sight repeatability when remounting. Each light includes a key kit to securely fit onto a broad array of weapons.

All models feature a white power LED and include a custom TIR optic that produces a concentrated beam with optimum peripheral illumination. The TLR RM 1 Laser and TLR RM 2 Laser also feature a 640-660nm red laser, while the TLR RM 1 Laser-G and the TLR RM 2 Laser-G use a 510-530nm green laser. The TLR RM 1 and TLR RM 1 Laser models offer 500 lumens, 11,000 candela and a beam distance of 210 meters, while the TLR RM 2 and TLR RM 2 Laser models deliver 1,000 lumens, 22,000 candela and a 297-meter beam distance. All the lights also include a user-programmable strobe feature.

The TLR RM 1 and TLR RM 1 Laser models each use one (1) 3-volt CR123A lithium battery, measure 3.64 inches in length, and range in weight from 3.02 ounces to 3.24 ounces. The TLR RM 2 and TLR RM 2 Laser models each include two (2) 3-volt CR123A lithium batteries, are 4.97 inches long, and range in weight from 4.68 ounces to 5.11 ounces. All six models feature 1.5 hours of continuous run time and three hours on strobe. In laser mode, the TLR RM 1 Laser and TLR RM 2 Laser run for 60 hours, while the TLR RM 1 Laser-G and TLR RM 2 Laser-G run for 11 hours.

The lights are constructed with durable anodized machined aircraft aluminum with an impact resistant BOROFLOAT® glass lens. The laser versions are IPX4-rated for water-resistant operation, while the non-laser versions are IPX7-rated for waterproof use.

The HPL face cap can be purchased separately to fit existing TLR rail mount models.

Available in black, the lights have MSRPs that range from $235.96 to $573.04, depending on the model. Each comes with Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.

LAS VEGAS — The 46th SHOT Show® opened this morning at The Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum and will run for four days, January 23-26. The 2024 SHOT Show marks the third year of its expansion into Caesars Forum, adding to the exhibit space of its longtime home venue, The Venetian Expo, to accommodate more than 2,500 exhibitors covering more than 815,000 net square feet of show space.

Last year’s SHOT Show returned to its pre-pandemic attendance levels, attracting 52,000 in total attendance. The SHOT Show also vaulted to the eighth largest trade show in the U.S., measured by net square feet of exhibitor space, according to Trade Show Executive magazine. The SHOT Show is the third largest trade show in Las Vegas.

Owned and sponsored by NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, the SHOT Show is the largest trade show of its kind in the world. Professionals from the firearm and outdoor industry are here to view new, innovative products used for target shooting, hunting, outdoor recreation, personal defense and law enforcement purposes. Consumers will see these new products unveiled at the SHOT Show on retailers’ shelves throughout the year.

The SHOT Show brings a charge to the economies of Las Vegas and Nevada, with the show generating more than $88 million in non-gaming revenue. In America, the firearm and ammunition industry has an economic impact of almost $81 billion, supporting more than 393,000 jobs. Many states value highly what industry businesses bring to their economies. That value will be the topic of discussion at the third NSSF-sponsored Governors’ Forum, where the chief executives from eight states will discuss the importance of the firearm industry in their states. Additionally, the first NSSF-sponsored state Attorneys General Forum will look at the legal landscape related to state-level challenges to the Second Amendment.

Education sessions for firearm retailers and shooting range operators are an important segment of the SHOT Show. SHOT University™ offers classes on compliance, business management and much more. In the past, presenters have included representatives from ATF, FBI and the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). Through its FixNICS® program, NSSF has helped to significantly improve the FBI’s NICS database by adding the names of persons legally prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm. These federal agencies also exhibit on the show floor to engage with industry manufacturers and federal firearms licensees (FFLs).

On the day before the SHOT Show opens, Industry Day at the Range will have more than 200 exhibitors providing hands-on experience with firearms, ammunition, optics, vehicles and other products to more than 2,300 invited outdoor media members and buyers. NSSF is the title sponsor of the event. More than 2,000 members of the press cover the SHOT Show.

SHOT WeekSM captures the full scope of SHOT Show-related events. These include the NSSF/HAVA Golf Classic in support of Honored American Veterans Afield, a firearm industry-run charitable organization that helps the healing of disabled combat veterans through participation in hunting and shooting sports.

The two-day Supplier Showcase is a show-within-a-show, with more than 560 original equipment manufacturer (OEM) third-party suppliers meeting with exhibiting manufacturers and exploring their needs for extrusions, fabrication, fabrics, machinery, metal, plastics, software, logistical support and tools.

New to the show is the Archery Business Pavilion, focused on traditional and new technologies for archery products.

At a special ceremony, NSSF will announce three new inductees to its Hall of Fame to honor industry leaders for their contributions to industry and the heritage of target shooting and hunting in America. The NSSF Ken Sedlecky Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented as well.

The firearm industry is committed to the promotion of safe use and secure storage of its products to help prevent accidents, thefts and suicide. NSSF’s Project ChildSafe® and “Have a Brave Conversation” suicide prevention programs will have booths, as will NSSF’s partners in safety—the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The VA will offer its SAVE program on suicide prevention as part of the show’s educational lineup for firearm retailers.

NSSF works to keep guns out of the hands of prohibited persons at the retail level through its Operation Secure Store®, Don’t Lie for the Other Guy™ and FixNICS initiatives. These programs are collectively known as Real Solutions for Safer Communities® and are helping to save lives.

I’ve followed InVeris Training Solutions for a few year and continue to be impressed by their technology. At this year’s Shot Show, they set up a structure for a clearing exercise. While moving through the structure, software displays armed tangos at a variety of different points in the structure. The images are displayed as an overlay in the trainee’s head gear creating an authentic experience. The trainee is equipped with an AR or pistol and is required to neutralize all targets by double tapping the hostile.

The entire session is controlled by a high-performance gaming laptop. It’s an impressive system that can only be improved via AI (artificial intelligence) integration. I can’t think of a law enforcement or military group that would not benefit from this training technology. I can’t think of a more cost-effective approach to keeping your officers or operators sharp.

EAGLEVILLE, PA, January 25, 2024 – Streamlight®, Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting, introduced the Strion® 2020, the latest in its line of duty-ready work lights for police, military and first responders. The ultra-bright rechargeable light delivers up to 1,200 lumens and 28,000 candela and features both head and tail push-button on/off switches, an easy-to-use mode select switch for choosing light intensities, and a convenient battery status indicator.

Positioned in line with the head switch, the thumb-accessible, three-position mode selector allows for easy toggling through the light’s high, medium or low outputs. The head and tail switch both offer full control independent of one another and provide one-handed operation of the light’s momentary, constant on or strobe modes. Also located in the head switch is a battery status indicator that displays green when charged and red when the light needs to be charged.

“Streamlight developed the super-bright Strion 2020 to provide first responders with a powerful tactical tool for use during search, investigative and emergency situations,” said Michael F. Dineen, Streamlight’s Chief Revenue Officer. “Law enforcement, tactical professionals, military personnel and others can choose between two switches, depending on need or personal preference. We’ve also added convenient features such as a mode select switch so you don’t have to cycle between modes, and an indicator light to check battery status at a glance.”

Powered by a 3.6V, 3450mAh lithium-ion battery, the new light uses a high-power LED to deliver 1,200 lumens, 28,000 candela, a 335-meter beam distance and a run time of 1 hour and 45 minutes on high. On medium, the light offers 460 lumens, 10,000 candela, a 200-meter beam distance and a 5.5 hour run time. On low, the Strion 2020 provides an extended 12 hours of run time, 120 lumens and 3,000 candela over a 110-meter beam distance. The light’s high-intensity strobe runs for 3.5 continuous hours.

The lithium-ion battery can be charged with any existing Strion® charger. The battery, which can be recharged up to 1,000 times, fully recharges in 4.5 hours; the charging base indicator will go from steady to blinking when fully charged.

The Strion 2020 features a high-efficiency TIR optic that is impact- and chemical-resistant and an LED that is impervious to shock with a 50,000-hour lifetime. The light is fabricated from 6000 series machined aircraft aluminum with anodized finish. Its anti-roll design ensures the light does not move when placed on a flat surface.

Measuring 6.33 inches in length, the light weighs 5.7 ounces with its included battery. Featuring an IPX7-rated design for waterproof operation to 1 meter, it is also two-meter impact resistance tested.

Available in black, the Strion 2020 has an MSRP ranging from $217.59 to $351.31, depending on the model, and includes Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.

EAGLEVILLE, PA, January 24, 2024 – Streamlight® Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting and weapon light/laser sighting devices, introduced the TLR-6 HL® and the TLR-6 HL® G, high-lumen (HL) rechargeable gun-mounted tactical lights with an integrated red or green aiming laser. Among the first in Streamlight’s extensive line of weapon-mounted lights to use a rechargeable battery, the new lights deliver 300 lumens and are designed to securely attach to the rail and trigger guard of the GLOCK® 42/43, GLOCK® rail mount models, the Smith & Wesson® M&P® Shield™ and SIG SAUER® P365® handguns.

The lights are powered by Streamlight’s new proprietary SL-B2™ rechargeable battery that can be conveniently recharged in the included charge case by means of a USB-C cord. Each light ships with a battery in the light along with two additional batteries in the charge case, providing users a full hour of power.

“These newest additions to our best-selling line of TLR-6 weapon lights use high-lumen technology to provide full situational awareness in a variety of law enforcement, concealed carry, and home defense applications, such as illuminating a dark alley, vehicle or outdoor path,” said Streamlight President and Chief Executive Officer Ray Sharrah. “Each comes equipped with an integrated color aiming laser to enable users to readily identify a potential threat before taking any action. The TLR-6 HL and TLR-6 HL G each feature a white LED to deliver 4,250 candela and 300 lumens over a beam distance of 130 meters. The lights use a parabolic reflector to produce a balance of focused beam and peripheral illumination. Featuring left and right-handed switches for ambidextrous operation, they offer two lighting modes: a quick press of either switch activates constant on operation, while pressing and holding the switch turns on the momentary setting.

The TLR-6 HL offers a 640-660 nm red laser to maximize visibility and long-range targeting capability, while the TLR-6 HL G features a 510-530 nm “eye safe” green laser to improve users’ ability to focus on targets during daylight hours. Both lights can be deployed in Laser Only mode to keep the gun on target, LED Only mode to provide bright, focused light, or dual mode which uses both light sources. They offer run times of 20 minutes for LED Only and LED/Laser modes. In Laser Only mode, the red laser provides 9 hours of run time, while the green laser delivers 5 hours.

The charge case charges up to two Streamlight SL-B2™ rechargeable batteries at a time, with red and green indicator LEDs providing battery charge status. The lights’ integrated battery door permits tool-less battery replacement with the light mounted on the weapon, eliminating the need to re-sight the laser after a battery change.

Each light is manufactured from durable, impact-resistant engineered polymer and uses a glass lens with a shock-resistant gasket seal. The lights are impact-resistant, tested to one meter.

The TLR-6 HL and the TLR-6 HL G are both 2.50 inches long and weigh 1.12 ounces with the included battery. They are available in black, while both models that fit the GLOCK® 42/43 are also available in Flat Dark Earth.

Bond Arms’ New Stinger “Fireball” Weights in on Lightweight Carry-Conceal Firearms

Granbury, TX (January 25, 2024) -The weight of a firearm is often a major concern for conceal-carry applications, especially when transitioning to a smaller caliber while maintaining the original frame/receiver dimensions. Typically, the additional space is filled with material, contributing to the overall heaviness of the firearm. Bond Arms® addresses this issue with the new Stinger “Fireball.”

Functionally identical to its counterparts, the Stinger “Fireball” receiver remains compatible only with other Stinger Fireball barrels. While maintaining the same dimensions and functionality, the new Stinger “Fireball” distinguishes itself with a lightweight anodized 7075 aluminum frame, adding a sleek two-tone design in black anodizing.

The Stinger “Fireball” ensures easy draw while maintaining the same positioning and function, featuring a low-profile break action lever on the left-hand side. It is factory-chambered in .22 Mag or 327 Fed Mag, unconventional self-defense calibers that nearly match the force of a standard, non +P 9mm. The pistol is equipped with a B6 resin extended grip for superior felt recoil reduction and a secure hold.

Weighing in at only 14.4 ounces, this is one of Bond Arms’ lightest derringers. With a standard 3-inch barrel and an overall length of 5.5 inches, it offers concealability, comfort, and ease of use. Despite its lightweight design, it accommodates two rounds in the chamber with its single-action hammer and a 7-pound trigger pull.

Ant is the most compact of the Extrema Ratio folding knives. Despite its small size, this model has an extremely robust, resistant and reliable structure. The handle consists of two different elements, the grip made of anodized anticorodal aluminum and the tempered steel frame that functions as a locking mechanism for the blade (Frame Lock System). Part of the frame is bent inwards to firmly fix the blade when opened, thus increasing the operator’s safety during use.
On the shank there is a slot for inserting a lanyard; on the right side of the handle there is a steel clip that allows to conceal the knife inside the pocket. Ant is available in 4 versions with two different types of steel both supplied by Böhler, an Austrian company which Extrema Ratio has been collaborating with for more than 20 years, using their time-tested materials to produce its blades.
Ant Black and Ant Black Stone Washed are made of Böhler N690, hardened to 58 HRC for better balance between edge retention and strength; this is a type of steel used by Extrema Ratio for the majority of its knives.
Rescue Red Stone Washed M390 and Black Stone Washed M390 are made of Böhler M390 steel heat treated to 61 HRC which, thanks to metallurgical powder production processes, guarantees cutting effectiveness, resistance to wear and oxidation over time. The sheepsfoot blade is equipped with a small slot on the top to facilitate opening. Its particular structure, thanks to the straight edge, allows the user to comfortably rest his fingers on the back of the knife and use it smoothly.
Ant Rescue, unlike the other 3 versions, has a red grip that allows the operator to find the knife more easily in the event of a fall. This version is equipped with a specific serration that allows it to cut ropes and even extremely strong aramid materials. This model also features a tapered shank that acts as an emergency screwdriver. Thanks to these peculiarities, Ant Rescue has been selected by the ‘Alpine Troop School of the Italian Army’ to be part of its equipment.

NSSF Moves to Intervene in Case to Prevent Law Enforcement Trace Data From Unlawful Public Disclosure

WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, the Firearm Industry Trade Association, filed a Motion to Intervene with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to protect law enforcement sensitive crime gun trace data that the City of Baltimore, Md., is attempting to force the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to reveal, despite federal law barring the release of trace data outside of law enforcement. 

The City of Baltimore is attempting to expose crime gun trace data that is specifically protected from public disclosure by Congress for over 20 years because releasing this law enforcement sensitive data would jeopardize ongoing criminal investigations, putting the lives of law enforcement, witnesses, cooperating firearm retailers and others at risk. This is why Congress, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), ATF and law enforcement, including the nation’s largest police organization, the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), all agree on the importance of protecting this sensitive data. Access to gun crime trace data is – and should only be – available to law enforcement in connection with a bona-fide criminal investigation. The Baltimore Police Department has full access to the data for its jurisdiction. No law enforcement agency has ever been denied access to trace data.

“This is a transparent attempt by gun control advocates at the City of Baltimore and their lawyers from the Bloomberg-funded Everytown for Gun Safety to gain access to the data to use it to smear licensed firearm retailers and manufacturers by suggesting they are responsible for crimes committed by others misusing lawfully sold firearms,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF’s Senior Vice President & General Counsel. “The danger of releasing trace data is not hypothetical. This information is guarded because it is often incomplete and is used by law enforcement in active criminal investigations. Disclosing it would endanger the lives of our police. Additionally, the misuse of trace data is an attempt by gun control advocates in the city’s government as a substitute for actual evidence of wrongdoing by members of the industry.”

ATF trace data was misused by gun control groups in litigation against industry members as a substitute for actual evidence of wrongdoing, even though ATF has repeatedly said, including in their 1999 Crime Gun Trace Analysis Reports, “The appearance of [a licensed dealer] or a first unlicensed purchaser of record in association with a crime gun or in association with multiple crime guns in no way suggests that either the federal firearms licensed dealer (FFL) or the first purchaser has committed criminal acts. Rather, such information may provide a starting point for further and more detailed investigation.”

NSSF will not stand idly by while gun control advocates like Everytown and their bought-and-paid for antigun politicians seek to circumvent the rule of law in their failing crusade to shutter the firearm industry that makes the exercise of the Second Amendment possible.

The City of Baltimore filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with ATF to disclose records of the top 10 retailers of firearms that were sold and subsequently recovered at Baltimore crime scenes between 2018-2022, as well as the time-to-crime from when those firearms were sold and recovered by police. Baltimore officials also sought information about firearms recovered in the same time period with any connection to homicide, attempted homicide, aggravated assault, robbery, suicide and attempted suicide. The third and fourth requests seek data tables or spreadsheets that were used to compile two charts published in the report produced by ATF on Baltimore crime involving firearms.

Public disclosure of this information would violate federal law, specifically the Tiahrt Amendment, which prohibits disclosure of the ATF firearm trace information.

LAS VEGAS — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, has launched BraveConversation.org, a new website with resources for gun owners and their families about caring for mental health and preventing suicide.

“More than 50 percent of firearm-related fatalities are suicide deaths, not homicides or accidents, and by providing education about mental health, secure storage of firearms and how to help someone who’s struggling—having that ‘brave conversation’—we can help save lives,” said Joe Bartozzi, NSSF’s President and CEO. “Suicide is a sensitive topic, but we can talk about suicide and mental health while at the same time respecting Second Amendment rights.”

NSSF announced BraveConversation.org at the SHOT Show®, the firearm industry trade show that brings together manufacturers, wholesalers, firearm retailers, shooting range operators, endemic media and law enforcement professionals from all 50 U.S. states and more than 115 countries. NSSF encourages industry companies, organizations and individuals to use the shareable graphics on BraveConversation.org to raise awareness in the firearm-owning community about the website’s resources and suicide prevention.

One of the shareable graphics makes the point, “Suicide Is Preventable: Help Someone Who’s Struggling. BraveConversation.org.” All the shareable graphics highlight the national call/text 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

The topic of suicide prevention has high visibility at the trade show. NSSF’s Have a Brave Conversation and Project ChildSafe® programs are exhibiting, and NSSF’s partners, the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, are providing educational materials as well. BraveConversation.org highlights NSSF partner resources such as the VA’s REACH program and AFSP’s initiatives.

Show attendees can use a QR code to access an overview of suicide prevention resources on-site during the four days of the SHOT Show.

BraveConversation.org serves as the hub of resources included in the NSSF-AFSP Suicide Prevention Toolkit. The toolkit’s materials were designed for firearm retailers and shooting ranges to display at their facilities to raise awareness among staff and customers about steps to take to help prevent suicide. The toolkit, built around the theme of “Have a Brave Conversation,” includes posters, counter cards, window decals and an educational brochure for customers to take home from the store or range.

More than 8,000 NSSF-AFSP Suicide Prevention Toolkits and more than 800,000 of the Firearms and Suicide Prevention brochures have been distributed since the inception of the program.
