2. How has the use of online product portals developed over time, and what trends or changes have you observed?

The use of online product portals has increased significantly over time. Digital search options have been further developed so that they not only enable efficient product searches, but also increasingly focus on personalized user experiences and comprehensive data accessibility. The ongoing trend shows an increased integration of design data, a broader product range and an increased focus on user-friendly, intuitive search functions to meet the growing demands of users.

3. What future developments are you planning for your ODU Product Finder in order to further enhance the users’ experience?

We are planning to continuously expand the availability of product information, extend the cable assembly portfolio and constantly develop the guided search to improve intuitive use. Despite different entry options, the user should be able to find the right product immediately. In this way, we want to maximise user-friendliness and guarantee outstanding product and service quality.

4. What type of users particularly benefit from your ODU Product Finder?

Our ODU Product Finder is aimed at purchasers, design engineers and product managers, among others. The variety of functions offered, such as 3D data for designers and data sheets for purchasers and product managers, enables needs-orientated use. GA-ASI DEMONSTRATES RELEASE OF A2LE FROM MQ-20 AVENGER® UAS

SAN DIEGO – 01 February 2024 – General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) successfully demonstrated an inflight release of its Advanced Air-Launched Effects (A2LE) platform, releasing an A2LE from the internal weapons bay of a GA-ASI MQ-20 Avenger® Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). The demonstration took place on Nov. 28, 2023, over Dugway Proving Ground, Utah, capping a manufacturing, structural test, and flight demonstration.

GA-ASI’s design and engineering team partnered with Divergent Technologies, Inc. for the A2LE vehicle design and build, matching GA-ASI’s aircraft design expertise with the Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS™) to support rapid, low-cost manufacturing of the demonstration vehicle.

“This demonstration was a crucial first step in demonstrating GA-ASI’s ability to rapidly develop, manufacture, and test a Small Unmanned Aircraft System (SUAS) in a controlled, low-risk approach,” said Mike Atwood, vice president of Advanced Programs at GA-ASI. “A2LE demonstrates the coupling of GA-ASI’s pedigreed aircraft design capabilities with Divergent’s DAPS, paving the way for continued maturation of affordable, modular SUAS platforms that can be tailored to meet warfighter needs at a fraction of the cost and lead time of currently fielded systems.”

The demonstration vehicle airframe was 100 percent additively manufactured and was designed to meet the captive carriage and ejection loads of the jet-powered aircraft with internal weapons bays. The topology-optimized AM structure was validated via proof and pit ejection testing prior to the flight demonstration. The demonstration highlighted the design efficiencies that can be realized when AM is incorporated early in the design process and throughout the vehicle. It was also a key step in validating the AM process and material properties for incorporation in future systems to be employed by both manned and unmanned platforms.

GA-ASI’s A2LE platform builds on its extensive experience in developing SUAS. It provides a low-risk, low-cost, tailorable solution that bring affordable mass to the warfighter, with modular payload provisions to meet the requirements of current and future mission objectives. A network of A2LEs could create a persistent, expansive grid for surveillance, attack, enemy air defense suppression, or communication pathways, supporting and elevating capabilities of current and future manned or unmanned platforms.

WASHINGTON – The FAA is now partnering with several companies to offer drone pilots more places to receive official airspace awareness information.

The FAA’s B4UFLY service shows recreational drone flyers where they can and cannot fly.

The FAA has approved four companies to provide B4UFLY services through desktop and mobile applications. Approved companies will offer multiple ways to access B4UFLY and bring recreational flyers the latest airspace awareness information directly from the agency.

Drone pilots can also find FAA approved partners who provide near-real time airspace authorizations and information here.

(NASDAQ: MKSI), a global provider of enabling technologies that transform our world, has announced the Ophir® BeamSquared® SP204S M2 beam propagation analyzer at SPIE’s Photonics West 2024. The BSQ SP204S is a robust, portable device that helps users optimize laser performance automatically and accurately. It measures the propagation characteristics of CW and pulsed lasers with Rayleigh length up to 20 meters in less than one minute. The system uses CMOS camera technology to deliver higher spatial resolution, better sampling accuracy, and improved SNR (signal to noise ratio) than CCD-based cameras. Designed for continuous use applications, from scientific research to laser manufacturing to fabrication and machining, the BSQ SP204S measures wavelengths from 266nm to 10.6µm, including CO2 and terahertz.

The BeamSquared SP204S M2 system includes the BeamSquared software, an optical train, and a CMOS camera. The software measures beam propagation characteristics on both the X and Y axes, including waist diameters, full angle divergences, waist locations, Rayleigh lengths, M2 or K and BPP factors, astigmatism, and asymmetry. The system displays 2D or 3D beam profiles for visual verification of beam behavior through focus. Functions include a 3D slice display and the ability to add 3D displays to reports. Reports can also incorporate a beam caustic chart, in addition to setup information, laser measurements, and a variety of statistics. An Automation interface via .Net components allows users to build custom applications that incorporate the laser beam analysis and processing power of the BeamSquared system.

All BeamSquared systems can be mounted horizontally or vertically to optimize bench space. Each is equipped with conventional focusing lenses of 400-600mm. Specially calibrated 750mm and 1000mm lenses are optionally available for use with long Rayleigh range lasers (20m) that involve both a long-waist location and small focal spot size.

The SPEC OPS TYPE 15 features a receiver set machined to the tightest tolerances from high-grade 7075-T6511 billet aluminum to secure a wobble-free fitment and to prevent dust and debris from entering. Assembled with an ambidextrous charging handle and WATCHTOWER’s patented safety selector to satisfy the need for more dexterity, this allows more surface area to manipulate the mechanics of the firearm. NEWINGTON, N.H., (January 30, 2024) – ROSE by SIG SAUER will host its first birthday celebration throughout the month of February highlighting the achievements of the program and honoring the women of the ROSE community. This month-long Birthday Celebration will kick-off at the SIG Experience Center at SIG SAUER Academy on Thursday, February 1, 2024.

“It’s truly unbelievable that it has been a year since we introduced the ROSE program to the world and the first pistols were delivered. In our first year, ROSE has been a catalyst to support, encourage and inspire women to begin their firearms journey, and today the ROSE community is nearly 14,000 women strong,” began Lena Miculek, Team SIG Professional Shooter. “While the achievements are glorious, it’s what’s on the horizon for ROSE in 2024 that is the most exciting.
