NSSF’s Project ChildSafe, Raleigh Metropolitan PD, Wake County Sheriff’s Department, Triangle Shooting Academy and Local Leaders Address Firearm Safety in Raleigh
RALEIGH, N.C. – Project ChildSafe®, a program of NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, in partnership with the Raleigh Metropolitan Police Department, Wake County Sheriff’s Department and Triangle Shooting Academy, launched a citywide firearm safety initiative to prevent gun accidents, suicides and thefts, which included the distribution of 5,000 free gun locks and educational resources to local gun owners.
“These locks and materials are available to everyone—no questions asked,” said Joe Bartozzi, NSSF President and CEO. “We want to ensure that gun owners and their families in Raleigh have ample access to the necessary firearm safety and educational resources to keep their homes safe, and we are grateful to have local partners on the ground supporting us in this effort.”
Free gun locks are available at the following locations for pick up:
Project ChildSafe encourages gun owners to secure their firearms when they’re not in use with a gun lock, lock box or whatever storage device best suits their lifestyle—recognizing that safe, responsible firearm storage is the number one way to help prevent firearm accidents, suicides and thefts.
The campaign also included two weeks of digital and local radio advertising, which reached more than 400,000 Raleigh-area residents and pointed them to Project ChildSafe’s most popular online resources:

Grasso Holdings Makes Sizable Contribution to NSSF’s Protect Liberty PAC Ahead of 2024 Election
$10,000 Contribution Bolsters Protect Liberty PAC‘s Efforts to Protect
Americans’ Freedoms and Liberties, Including Our Second Amendment Rights
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The NSSF’s Protect Liberty Political Action Committee (Protect Liberty PAC) received a sizable contribution from Grasso Holdings that will be utilized to help identify and support the election of candidates who are dedicated to preserving and protecting liberty, freedom and the Constitutional rights of all Americans. The $10,000 contribution will benefit Protect Liberty PAC’s efforts ahead of the November 2024 election to ensure voters in key battleground states and congressional districts across the country are informed about candidates who will fight for their Constitutional rights and not carry out a “woke,” progressive, far left political agenda that threatens those rights.

The Integrated Precision Warfare Division is currently holding elections for Vice Chair for a two-year term (April 2024 – April 2026). These key positions will help guide the Integrated Precision Warfare Division to continued success. Voting is now open until 8 am on Friday, April 26.

The Vice Chair is the second leader in charge of the Division and is elected to the position. The Vice Chair is a member of the Division’s executive committee. The duties of this position include assisting the Chair in the operation of Division affairs and any other responsibilities assigned to them by the Chair. In the absence of the Chair, the Vice Chair presides over Division meetings and functions. The Vice Chair is responsible for assisting the Division in reviewing and revising the charter and bylaws to keep the Division relevant to the international community and to ensure the Division is compliant with organizational and procedural principles emanating from NDIA.

Tim Morrison is currently the Senior Director of Space, Intelligence, and Missile Defense for Government Operations at Boeing. In this role, he leads Government Operations activities supporting the Vice President and General Manager of Boeing’s Missile and Weapon Systems businesses and the program managers of the various individual business focuses. Previously, Morrison was Deputy Assistant to the President for national security in the Trump administration. He served as Senior Director on the National Security Council for European Affairs, where he was responsible for coordinating U.S. government policy for 52 countries and three multilateral organizations. Prior to that post, he was Senior Director for Counterproliferation and Biodefense, where he coordinated U.S. government policy on arms control, North Korean and Iranian weapons of mass destruction programs, export controls and technology transfers, and implementation of the Conventional Arms Transfer policy.

EAST ALTON, IL (April 15, 2024) — Shoot United is launching a new Straight Shooter profile focusing on Dania Vizzi, a member of Team Winchester and Team USA who is one of eight elite shotgun athletes that will be competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Nicknamed “Shooterina”, Dania Vizzi is an accomplished dancer, even earning a spot at Juilliard, the renowned arts school in New York City. However, her love for the shooting sports took her on a different path. Dania has been earning international medals since 2015, with 2022 and 2023 being her strongest years yet. After being named the 2022 Women’s Skeet World Champion and earning gold at the 2023 ISSF Lonato World Cup, Dania now will be representing Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

NSSF Report Reveals Firearm Magazines with Capacity Over 10 Rounds is National Standard
WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, revealed in a report that detachable magazines with a capacity exceeding 10 rounds are the overwhelming standard for firearm owners in the United States. The report, which surveyed 30-plus years of detachable magazine production and distribution, demonstrated that of the conservatively estimated 963,772,000 detachable magazines supplied from a firearm manufacturer and in the aftermarket, at least 717,900,000 have a capacity exceeding 10 rounds, the limit some states place for lawful magazine possession.
The Detachable Magazine Report (1990-2021) confirms what NSSF has known – that the national standard for magazine capacity for America’s gun owners is greater than 10 rounds. With nearly 1 billion detachable magazines in circulation, for both rifles and pistols, they are unquestionably commonly-owned and commonly-used for lawful firearm use, including recreational target shooting, hunting and self-defense. They are “arms” within the meaning of the Second Amendment. Detachable magazines are integral to the design of, and necessary for the proper functioning of, today’s modern semi-automatic firearms.
“The data establishes that law-abiding gun owners overwhelming choose magazines that have a capacity to hold more than ten rounds for lawful purposes including self-defense, target shooting and hunting,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President & General Counsel.
About 46 percent of the magazines estimated in this study are rifle magazines with 30+ round capacity. The percentage of detachable magazines at 11+ capacity is about 55 percent of total pistol magazines. The amount of 10 and below capacity rifle magazines supplied from the manufacturer is over one and a half times the amount of 30+ capacity rifle magazines. The consumer market totals of rifle magazines show 30+ capacity magazines, over 413 million, are over 30 times the amount available than 10 and below capacity rifle magazines, about 13 million.
Further examination of the data proves that of the 717,900,000 detachable magazines for pistols and rifles with a capacity greater than 10 rounds, 209,145,000 pistol magazines are in circulation from combined sales through firearm manufacturers (those magazines included with the firearm) and aftermarket production. Rifle magazines with a capacity greater than 10 rounds accounted for 508,755,000 and rifle magazines with a capacity of 30 rounds or greater totaled an estimated 448,369,000 from combined sale of those included with a firearm at sale and the aftermarket.
Just 245,872,000 pistol and rifle magazines with a capacity of 10 rounds or less are in circulation when accounting for the magazines included with a firearm from the manufacturer and the aftermarket.

Q: Will it fit pre-existing holsters?
A: Some may fit if you have a weapon mounted light, we are working with Hilliker Holster to provide a custom holster option for our customers.
Q: Will this accept P365 manual safety FCUs?
A: Yes, the grip has a cut-out area marked on both sides for users to snip, dremel, or file down this section.
Q: Will this work with the CA model?
A: Yes, the manual safety FCU model is compatible and not an issue. To clarify, this grip module requires modification to fit both the manual safety models and the CA model which includes a mag disconnect.
Q: Will this work with 10rd magazines?
A: YES! You can use the P365X/XL Micro Compact 10rd magazine to fit flush with our grip module.
Q: Is this the XL?
A: Yes, this is based off the Sig ‘X/XL’ style grip.
Q: Any plans for an XL or Macro version? What about the P320?
A: Yes! But this grip module can also accept the XMacro and XMacro Tac Ops slides. The dust cover fits perfectly with no gap in between.
Q: What mags fit flush w/ this grip module?
A: Other than the 10rd X/XL mag mentioned above, the 12rd mag can also sit flush it just depends on which mag base extension you have on it (Sig makes several). Note that 15rd and 17rd mags will always stick out.
Q: What lights fit on this?
A: In terms of compatibility, so far only the SureFire XSC-B and the Olight PL Mini 2 ‘Valkyrie’ and ‘Baldr’ perfectly fit our grip module. If you do buy an XSC, do not buy the ‘A’ model as that one is designed for the OEM Sig grip modules. The Streamlight TLR-7A and 7X does not reliably fit.
Q: Will this work with .380 FCUs?
A: Yes, this should work with P365 FCUs chambered in .380. All you need to do is acquire the correct recoil spring assembly, barrel and magazine for that and you’d be good. There are also 12rd .380 P365 mags pinned to 10rds for those in restricted states.

On the left you can see what it looks like when using a flush 12rd mag. On the right you can see a P365 outfitted with a 15rd mag. The FDE setup also includes our Strike MRDS optic plate adapter.
PLEASE NOTE:
The P365 Strike Enhanced Grip Module is compatible with manual safety FCU’s. However, this requires modification and some fitment may be required. The cut-out areas are marked and outlined as a guide. Depending on the generation of FCU, the safety cut-out area may need to be larger than the guideline provided.

The Strike LITESlide for P365 comes in Blackline and FDEline. It features forward serrations, ported windows for those that want to run ported barrels, and a mini charging handle on both sides towards the rear to help with ease of racking your slide.
