Its programs focus on homeownership, recreational activities, transportation assistance, and leadership development. Generous private and corporate donors have made this vision of helping combat-wounded veterans and their families a reality. One of the ways Military Warriors Support Foundation generates revenue to support the programs and provide assistance is through the Vehicles4Heroes program.
Over the years, has a collection of used cars, boats, and tractors taken up valuable space in the yard or on the farm? Now is the time to donate them.
Donating used vehicles, tractors, boats, ATVs, and RVs to Military Warriors Support Foundation is a great way to support the organization and its mission to positively affect the lives of combat-wounded veterans.
The Vehicles4Heroes program receives donated cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, ATVs, and even RVs, and then these vehicles are sold at auction. These donations can be in any condition—working, needs minor or major repair, wrecked, or undrivable. Vehicles4Heroes welcomes them all. The money from the auction sale goes directly into the programs Military Warriors Support Foundation offers.
The process of donating is simple; fill out the online donation form, and our partners at Flexco Fleet Services will contact you to arrange all the details. Military Warriors Support Foundation and Flexco Fleet Services handle the process entirely, from arranging the pickup of the vehicle to managing the title transfer process. Homes4Wounded Heroes & Homes4GoldStars:
Through Homes4WoundedHeroes & Homes4GoldStars, MWSF awards mortgage-free homes to combat-wounded heroes and unmarried Gold Star spouses of veterans killed in action or during combat training. Thus far, MWSF has awarded over 900 mortgage-free homes throughout the United States.
Transportation4Heroes:
Through their Transportation4Heroes program, MWSF awards payment-free vehicles to combat wounded heroes and Gold Star spouses. Thus far, MWSF has awarded over 170 vehicles.
In addition to the home or vehicle, recipients receive 1-3 years of financial and family mentoring. Through this structured program, families learn about monthly budgeting, spending control, and the creation of savings. While in their programs, MWSF families have collectively paid off over $27.3 million in personal debt.
Skills4Life:
Skills4Life provides recreational outings and peer-to-peer mentorship through hunting, fishing, and golfing adventures.
Leadership4Life:
The Leadership4Life program provides a one-year program to help veterans transition the skills they acquired in the military into leadership skills for the civilian workforce.
Hope4Heroes:
The Hope4Heroes program supports veteran-owned businesses through financial mentorship and situational needs.

Next Generation BearTrap® Adds 360-Degree Horizontal Rotation Feature
EAGLEVILLE, PA, May 3, 2024 – Streamlight®, Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting, launched the new BearTrap® 360, a multi-function, rechargeable work light that features both a 360° horizontally rotating and a 270° vertically pivoting body, enabling users to put light wherever it’s needed. Delivering up to 2,000 lumens, the new work light clamps to virtually any surface or stands on its own for hands-free task illumination.
With its unique spring-loaded clamp design and integrated magnets, the BearTrap 360 can be attached to any flat, round or irregular surface to shine a bright spot or flood light on work areas both small and large. A wire handle with a rubber sleeve provides an easy grip when opening the light’s clamping mechanism.
“The new functionality of the BearTrap 360 now gives first responders, automotive and industrial technicians, outdoor enthusiasts, and other users the ability to easily spin the body of the light horizontally in addition to moving it vertically, for any angle view,” said Michael F. Dineen, Streamight’s Chief Revenue Officer. “This is a very useful feature when performing tasks that require angling a spot light as work progresses on a car engine, or continuously moving a flood light when investigating a fire or accident scene.”
The BearTrap 360 provides six output modes, including three spot and three flood settings. The flood mode covers work areas or other surfaces with soft, bright light, ranging from 2,000 lumens on high with a 2.5-hour run time to 575 lumens on low, with an 8.75-hour run time. The light’s spot mode provides a white concentrated beam to pinpoint specific work areas, ranging from 1,000 lumens on high for 4.5 hours to 325 lumens on low for 12.5 hours.
The BearTrap 360 uses an easy access, push-button on/off switch with a battery life indicator that turns red when the battery has reached the end of its usable life. The new light uses a 7.26-volt, 5200 mAh lithium-ion battery that can be recharged in 5.5 hours. The BearTrap 360 will also run continuously if plugged into an AC power supply.
Manufactured from tough thermoplastic construction, it also features a gasket-sealed lens that is impervious to most common automotive or industrial chemicals. It has an IPX4-rated design for water-resistant operation and is impact resistance tested to 1 meter.
Weighing 2 lbs., 5 ounces, the light measures 7.62 inches in length, 6.5 inches in width, and is 3.12 inches thick. The new BearTrap 360 has an MSRP ranging from $269.66 to $286.52 and comes with Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Stuffed Smoked Wild Turkey Breast
Ingredients:
2 skinless wild turkey breasts
1 packet Hi Mountain Seasonings Game Bird and Poultry Brine Kit
Hi Mountain Seasonings Rib Rub
1 apple, peeled and cubed
1 onion, peeled and cubed
4 tbsp butter, in 4 1-tbsp slices
olive oil
Directions:
Brining: Mix one pouch of Hi Mountain Seasonings Game Bird and Poultry Brine with 1 gallon of water in a non-metallic bowl. Add 6 cups of ice to the brine. Place the brine bag in a large pot and add the turkey breasts in the brining bag breast side down. Pour the brine mixture over the turkey, then place the turkey breasts in the refrigerator to brine for 24 hours.
Roasting: Remove the turkey breasts from the brining bag, rinse under cold, running water, then pat dry with paper towels. Air dry the turkey breasts for at least 30 minutes.
While the turkey breasts are air drying, cube the peeled apple and onion. Lay the turkey breast flat on a cutting board. With a sharp knife held parallel to the board, cut a pocket into the turkey breast leaving a section uncut – like a hinge – on the thicker side of the breast. Stuff half of the cubed apple and onion inside the pocket of the first turkey breast and season the mixture with Hi Mountain Seasonings Rib Rub.
Place 2 1-tbsp slices of butter on top of the apple/onion cubes inside the turkey breast pocket. Fold the turkey breast over to seal the pocket. Brush both sides of the turkey breast with olive oil, then season all sides of the turkey breast with Hi Mountain Seasonings Rib Rub.
Repeat with the second turkey breast.
Preheat a wood pellet grill that has a smoke/grill option to 200 degrees. Smoke the turkey breasts for 30 minutes. After the 30 minutes of smoking, increase the heat to 350 degrees and continue grilling until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Remove the turkey breasts from the grill and let them rest for 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
Please note: A meat thermometer is an essential tool for this recipe.

NSSF Invites Employees of Patron Member Companies to Apply for $50,000 in Education Scholarships
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Employees of companies that support NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, at the highest level may apply for education aid through the NSSF Patron Member Scholarship Program. NSSF has made a total of $50,000 in scholarship funding available for a maximum of 20 winning entries.
NSSF is accepting applications in the Patron Member Scholarship Program through 5 p.m. PT on Friday, May 24, 2024.
Scholarships are available only to employees and their family members of Patron Member companies of NSSF. (For specific eligibility, refer to the official guidelines.) The scholarship program is one of many benefits that Patron Member companies receive from NSSF.
Applicants must be enrolled in, or have been accepted and plan to attend, a college, university or vocational school during the fall 2024 school year. Scholarships are limited to candidates seeking an undergraduate or vocational degree only. The complete rules, applications and scholarship posters are available on this Scholarship Program webpage. NSSF urges applicants to read the rules thoroughly before applying.
The NSSF Patron Member Scholarship requires an essay on one of the following topics:
· Realizing that unauthorized access to firearms can result in accidents, suicides and thefts, make a compelling appeal to encourage someone who does not store their guns securely to do so.
· Discuss why it’s important for the firearm industry—including manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and shooting ranges—to be represented by a trade association like NSSF and have a voice of protection and advocacy.
· What is the true meaning and importance of the Second Amendment and what does it mean to you?
Essays must be in English and submitted along with application at nssf.org/scholarship.
Twenty applicants with the highest overall scores will be selected as scholarship prizewinners. The applicant with the highest scored essay will earn the grand prize $8,000 scholarship. One first-place prizewinner with the second-highest scored essay will receive a scholarship of $5,000. One second-place prizewinner with the third-highest scored essay will receive a scholarship of $3,000. The remaining 17 runner-up prizewinners will each receive a scholarship of $2,000. NSSF will notify the winners by email and then list the recipients on its website after their acceptance.

NSSF Throws Support Behind Sen. Bill Hagerty’s Effort to Block Abusive BIS Rule
WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, fully supports the effort led by U.S. Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) to block the Interim Final Rule published by the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) that would throttle exports of U.S. firearms, ammunition and optics. Sen. Hagerty announced plans to introduce a Congressional Review Act (CRA) Resolution of Disapproval to block the Interim Final Rule from taking effect. The CRA has 10 Senate co-sponsors and more are expected to support the effort to block the politically-motivated effort by the Biden administration to punish the firearm and ammunition industry.
“The Biden administration has shown their cards and there is not a sleight-of-hand they won’t play to advance their anti-gun agenda,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “President Joe Biden’s hostility against Second Amendment rights and our industry clearly shows no bounds and he’s used every governmental lever to crank up punishing restrictions that will have no bearing on improving national security or crime reduction. This administration is interested in one thing only – decimating the industry that provides the means for law-abiding citizens to exercise their Second Amendment rights. NSSF commends Senator Bill Hagerty for leading the opposition to block this heavy-handed and naked political abuse of executive authority.”
The Interim Final Rule was the result of BIS re-examining firearm export licenses supposedly in light of national security concerns. That reasoning, however, rings hollow. According to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), only about 1 percent of legally exported firearms are recovered abroad at crime scenes and traced.
The BIS Interim Final Rule would make permanent export freezes sought by the Biden administration when it first announced on Oct. 27, 2023, a “90-day pause” to examine firearm export policy. The pause, which lasted over 180 days, was clearly an attempt to undermine the Export Control Reforms for firearm and ammunition exports that were initiated by the Obama-Biden administration and completed by the Trump administration. The total economic impact of the Interim Final Rule easily exceeds $250 million to U.S. manufacturers and exporters, far above the farcically low estimates BIS has been telling NSSF and the Hill. In addition, BIS will now require export licenses for sporting shotguns and optics to be exported to close allies when for over 30 years, these items could be exported to allied nations without an export license.
Under the Interim Final Rule, firearm export licenses will be reduced from a four-year lifespan to just one year. There will be four new Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN) for semiautomatic rifles, pistols, shotguns and certain parts, components and accessories. Licenses will be approved on a case-by-case basis that will consider foreign policy, national security risk factors, government corruption, diversion of firearms and human rights abuses among other criteria. BIS is stating there will be a presumption of denial for firearm export licenses to those countries arbitrarily identified by the State Department as “at risk,” which includes 36 countries – mostly in Latin America, the Caribbean and Southeast Asia.
All existing previously approved firearm export licenses to so-called “high risk” countries will be revoked 60 days after the Interim Final Rule was published on April 30, 2024. Those U.S. companies with existing firearm export licenses may be required to re-apply for new licenses. The public comment period will remain open until July 1. NSSF is considering its legal options and will simultaneously submit written comments demonstrating the true economic impact and the harm to American businesses, jobs and local economies wrought by this politically-driven policy change.
The Interim Final Rule is open for public comment and NSSF urges all who are frustrated with the abusive Biden administration anti-gun agenda to comment here.

NSSF Applauds U.S. House Passage of Protecting Access for Hunters and Anglers Act
WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, applauds the U.S. House of Representatives for the bipartisan approval of the Protecting Access for Hunters and Anglers Act, H.R. 615, introduced by U.S. Rep. Rob Wittman (R-Va.). This crucial legislation would ensure our nation’s number one resource of conservation funding remains in place and that hunters, recreational shooters and anglers throughout the nation can continue to enjoy America’s sporting heritage.
“This legislation is tremendously important to protect the primary funding for wildlife conservation in America,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “Firearm and ammunition manufacturers have paid over $27 billion, when adjusted for inflation, since 1937 and that has been the leading funding source of wildlife and habitat conservation in America. Efforts by bureaucrats to limit or eliminate the use of traditional lead ammunition and fishing tackle puts those conservation funds at serious risk by increasing costs and creating barriers to participation in outdoor recreation. The bipartisan passage of the Protecting Access for Hunters and Anglers Act by the House of Representatives is a significant step to protecting wildlife conservation and preserving access to our public lands.”
This NSSF-supported legislation would require the Secretaries of the Interior and Agriculture to provide site-specific peer-reviewed scientific data that demonstrates traditional lead ammunition or fishing tackle is causing detrimental wildlife population impacts before prohibiting their use by hunters and anglers. The bill is in response to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) pulling a bait-and-switch that put hunters and anglers in a bind last year by opening up more National Wildlife Refuges (NWRs) for hunting and fishing while at the same time outlawing the use of traditional lead ammunition and fishing tackle.
The final rule was part of a “sue and settle” litigation between the Center for Biological Diversity and the USFWS and was implemented without scientific evidence or consultation of state agencies.
Requiring the use of alternative ammunition would put a significant cost barrier to participation in hunting and fishing on lands. Alternative ammunition is, on average, 25 percent more expensive than traditional lead ammunition and less available. That barrier would “price out” many hunters and anglers and decrease the excise tax funding paid by firearm and ammunition manufacturers they support.
“As a lifelong hunter and recreational fisherman, I was appalled by the Biden administration’s effort to restrict access for our nation’s sportsmen and women who use traditional lead fishing tackle and ammunition on federal lands and waters,” Rep. Wittman said in a press release. “Effective environmental stewardship and wildlife conservation rely on the valuable contributions of our hunters and anglers, and affordable lead ammunition and tackle are crucial to reducing financial barriers that limit accessibility for sportsmen and women. I’m pleased to see this critical piece of legislation pass the House, and I urge my colleagues in the Senate to take up this bill and send it to the president’s desk.”

GA-ASI DELIVERS FIRST MQ-9A EXTENDED RANGE TO USMC’S VMUT-2
SAN DIEGO – 30 April 2024 – General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) and the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) celebrated the delivery of the first MQ-9A Extended Range (ER) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) to Marine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Training Squadron 2 (VMUT-2). The delivery of the MQ-9A ER on March 18, 2024, is part of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Unmanned Expeditionary (MUX) Program, which ordered eight MQ-9A ER UAS as part of the ARES Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (ID/IQ) contract.

VMUT-2 is a UAS training squadron for the USMC based at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in Havelock, North Carolina.
The MQ-9A ER is designed with field-retrofittable capabilities such as wing-borne fuel pods and reinforced landing gear that extend the aircraft’s endurance to more than 30 hours while further increasing its operational flexibility. The aircraft provides long-endurance, persistent surveillance capabilities with Full-Motion Video and Synthetic Aperture Radar/Moving Target Indicator/Maritime Mode Radar. An extremely reliable aircraft, MQ-9A ER is equipped with a fault-tolerant flight control system and a triple-redundant avionics system architecture. It is engineered to meet and exceed manned aircraft reliability standards.

WASHINGTON— This year’s FAA Drone and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Symposium will focus on how the FAA continues to safely integrate these aircraft while creating a framework to accelerate advanced operations.
The event, which runs from July 30 – Aug 1 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Maryland, will bring together representatives from the FAA, other government agencies, international aviation experts, industry leaders and academia.
The presenters and panelists will discuss the latest information and advancements related to the diverse uses of drones and the safe integration of Advanced Air Mobility aircraft, like air taxis, into the National Airspace System.
This year’s theme is Connected Skies / Connected Communities. Sessions and workshops will focus on how the FAA continues to safely integrate drones while creating a regulatory and operational framework to accelerate advanced operations such as beyond visual line of sight and UAS Traffic Management (UTM). AAM sessions and workshops will focus on how air taxis and electric vertical take-off, and landing (eVTOL) aircraft will change aviation as we know it.
FAA panelists and speakers will highlight the agency’s ongoing work to enable safe, efficient and secure operations that meet the high safety standards the public expects and deserves.

(May 2024) – In honor of May being Mental Health Awareness Month, Walk The Talk America (WTTA), a non-profit organization bridging the gap between mental health and responsible firearm ownership, proudly announces a special fundraiser by Top Shot Season 4 Champion Chris Cheng to raise $100,000. The challenge lasts from May 1 – 8, 2024. Cheng is kicking things off by personally donating $5,000, which will be used to match smaller donations of $500 or less. RETAY donated a duo of exclusive limited-edition shotguns in support of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation for the annual Governor’s One Shot Turkey Hunt and Banquet.
Easton, Md. (April 2024) – RETAY USA, a division of Banshee Brands, and the North American sales and distribution for RETAY ARMS, makers of innovative semi-auto shotguns, donated a set of RETAY Anatalya Jet Black and Antalya SS Elegant Custom Shotguns to the annual Tennessee Governor’s One Shot Turkey Hunt and Banquet.
The event, held on April 13, 2024, at the Factory at Franklin, is a celebration and recognition of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, and an ongoing commitment to preserving the hunting and fishing heritage for future generations of Tennesseans. Participating hunters were paired with an experienced guide and allowed to hunt on premium properties in an attempt to harvest an opening-day gobbler. After the hunt, the One Shot Banquet was held which included a live auction for hunting experiences, high-end guns, and historical pieces.
RETAY USA has donated an exclusive shotgun for the previous two years. This year, the donation was a set of RETAY Antalya custom shotguns; an SS Jet Black with a sleek polished black receiver and an SS Elegant with a coin anodized finish adorned with an intricate scroll engraving.
