The TT Plate Carrier QR LC was field-tested and recommended by law enforcement officers in the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) Member Tested and Recommended Program.
Knoxville, Tenn. (June 2024) – Tasmanian Tiger®, a tactical nylon line of products distributed exclusively for the US market by Proforce Equipment, Inc., is proud to announce that the TT Plate Carrier QR LC received an overall score of 3.95 out of five from the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) Member Tested and Recommended Program.
The TT Plate Carrier QR LC was reviewed by three members of the NTOA. As part of the Member Tested and Recommended Program, the officers tested the TT Plate Carrier QR LC while on the job for maximum testing for design, performance, application, versatility, and other pertinent features.
“I really enjoyed this plate carrier. You can wear it for hours and not get fatigued in the neck/trap area. The quick disconnect is also a plus and takes away the noise factor of Velcro,” review by the Nebraska Officer.
The officer from Nebraska opted to switch out the original cummerbund for the MOLLE Style cummerbund that came with the TT Plate Carrier QR LC for comfort and to provide more room for gear.
“This plate carrier is exceptionally lightweight, thanks to its laser-cut MOLLE system. This translates to unmatched agility and freedom of movement during critical operations. Our SWAT team members felt unrestricted and reported a significant improvement in maneuverability compared to bulkier carriers,” review by the Arkansas Officer.
The officer reviewing the TT Plate Carrier QR LC from Arkansas is part of a SWAT Team that rigorously tested the plate carrier. He deemed it an excellent choice for SWAT teams and tactical professionals who prioritize lightweight mobility and ease of use without compromising on protection. The team appreciated the streamlined design which made the carrier snag-free when going through tight spaces. He also liked the ROC buckle that allowed for swift removal of the plate carrier in emergencies, proving to be easy to use and reliable during the SWAT Team drills.

This lightweight plate carrier is designed to offer a sleek and modern look, with a MOLLE system in laser-cut technology. The TT Plate Carrier QR LC is designed to fit SAPI plates of 12 x 10 in. (30 x 25 cm). It features a quick-release system with ROC buckle, which allows the wearer to quickly and easily remove the plate carrier in case of an emergency. The shoulder straps are adjustable, ranging from a minimum of 11 in. (28 cm) to a maximum of 20 in. (52 cm), providing a comfortable and customized fit for all users.
One of the most notable features of the TT Plate Carrier QR LC is its laser-cut MOLLE system, which gives the plate carrier a clean and streamlined look. The front and side areas of the plate carrier also feature a MOLLE system, which allows for individual customization and extension.
Additionally, the TT Plate Carrier QR LC is compatible with many other TT products, allowing for seamless integration. The plate carrier also includes an integrated radio equipment pocket and switchable side sections for using pouches for ballistic side plates.

NSSF Prioritizes Cybersecurity Awareness for Its Member Organizations With KnowBe4 Training
NSSF focuses on cybersecurity initiatives to strengthen the industry’s security posture and mitigate human risk

SAF FILES FEDERAL LAWSUIT CHALLENGING POST OFFICE GUN BAN
BELLEVUE, Wash. — June 18, 2024 — The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) has filed a federal lawsuit in Texas challenging the ban on firearms carry in U.S. Post Offices and on postal property as violations of the Second Amendment, and is seeking declaratory and injunctive relief.
Joining SAF is the Firearms Policy Coalition and two private citizens, Gavin Pate and George Mandry, both Texas residents. Named as the sole defendant is Attorney General Merrick Garland, in his official capacity. The complaint was filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Fort Worth Division.
Plaintiffs are represented by attorneys R. Brent Cooper and S. Hunter Walton at Cooper & Scully, P.C. in Dallas, and David H. Thompson and Peter A. Patterson at Cooper & Kirk in Washington, D.C.
“Under the Bruen ruling of June 2022,” noted SAF Founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb, “if the government seeks to restrict firearms in a particular location as a ‘sensitive place,’ it must prove that its current restriction is sufficiently analogous to a well-established and representative historical analogue.”
“Current federal law bars the ‘knowing possession’ of firearms in federal facilities, which includes post offices,” said SAF Executive Director Adam Kraut. “Millions of legally armed private citizens, whose daily routines may include visits to post offices to pick up or drop off mail, are directly impacted by this infringement. There is no well-established, representative historical analogue to justify this regulation, which violates the Second Amendment.”

The MCM100 Multi-Role Rebreather provides unparalleled underwater capability for military divers.
Initially developed and deployed with global militaries and specialist user groups, the MCM100 delivers enhanced diver safety and extended mission duration for military divers across the spectrum of shallow and deep-water diving operations; including explosive ordinance disposal (EOD), mine-countermeasures (MCM), Special Forces, covert subsurface infiltration, submarine release & infiltration, and manned underwater vehicle operations.
The electronically controlled, closed-circuit MCM100 uses advanced digital oxygen sensors and a native decompression algorithm to manage the oxygen and decompression risk. System and mission information is fed to the diver via a wrist or console-mounted handset display and a heads-up display, maximizing system useability and allowing the user to focus on the mission rather than the equipment. Additionally, automated pre-dive sequencing reduces mission readiness time and enhances safety.
The MCM100’s modular design ensures a future-proofed capability for the underwater operator, providing users flexibility in how and when they integrate new technologies as they become available or as their mission envelope changes.

NSSF Applauds Louisiana Gov. Landry for Signing Second Amendment Financial Privacy Act
WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, applauds Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry for signing SB 301, the Second Amendment Financial Privacy Act, into law last week. This NSSF-supported law protects the privacy and sensitive financial information of people purchasing firearms and ammunition in The Pelican State. With Louisiana, there are now 16 states with laws that protect the Second Amendment financial privacy of their citizens.
The law prohibits financial institutions from requiring the use of a firearm code, also known as a Merchant Category Code (MCC), from being assigned to firearm and ammunition purchases at retail when using a credit card. The law also forbids discriminating against a firearm retailer as a result of the assigned or non-assignment of a firearm code and disclosing the protected financial information. Additionally, the law prohibits keeping or causing to be kept any list, record or registry of private firearm ownership.
“Governor Jeff Landry’s signature on the Second Amendment Financial Privacy Act is a powerful statement that the Second Amendment rights of Louisianans are not negotiable. This law will protect Louisiana’s citizens from unlawful intrusion on their private purchases when purchasing firearms and ammunition with a payment card,” said Darren LaSorte, NSSF’s Director, Government Relations – State Affairs. “‘Woke’ Wall Street banks, credit card companies and payment processors won’t be able to collude with government entities to spy on Louisianans’ private finances when they exercise their rights. No American should fear being placed on a government watchlist because they choose their Constitutionally-protected rights to keep and bear arms.”
NSSF worked closely with Louisiana legislators to protect private and legal firearm and ammunition purchases from political exploitation. The Second Amendment Financial Privacy Act is designed to protect the privacy of lawful and private firearm and ammunition purchases from being abused for political purposes by corporate financial service providers and unlawful government search and seizure of legal and private financial transactions. NSSF is grateful to state Sen. Blake Miguez and state Rep. Troy Romero for guiding this legislation to passage and enactment.
The U.S. Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) admitted to U.S. Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) in a letter that it violated the Fourth Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens that protect against illegal search and seizure when it collected the credit card purchase history from banks and credit card companies of individuals who purchased firearms and ammunition in the days surrounding Jan. 6, 2020. Treasury’s FinCEN had no probable cause, and sought the information without a warrant, to place these law-abiding citizens on a government watchlist only because they exercised their Second Amendment rights to lawfully purchase firearms and ammunition.
The idea of a firearm-retailer specific MCC was borne from antigun New York Times’ columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin and Amalgamated Bank, which has been called “The Left’s Private Banker” and bankrolls the Democratic National Committee and several antigun politicians. Amalgamated Bank lobbied the Swiss-based International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for the code’s creation. NSSF has called on Congress to investigate Amalgamated Bank’s role in manipulating the ISO standard setting process for political purposes.
Sorkin admitted creating a firearm-retailer specific MCC would be a first step to creating a national firearm registry, which is forbidden by federal law.
Louisiana joins a growing list of states that are standing against the invasion of financial privacy when exercising Second Amendment rights, including Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Iowa, Kentucky, Wyoming, Indiana, Utah, Florida, Idaho, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Texas and West Virginia. These states passed laws protecting citizens’ Second Amendment privacy. Other states are considering similar legislation. U.S. Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) introduced S. 4075, the NSSF-supported Protecting Privacy in Purchases Act in the Senate. U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) introduced H.R. 7450, with the same title in the U.S. House of Representatives. Only two states – California and Colorado – have laws requiring payment card processors to report purchases by a firearm retailer-specific MCC. New York’s legislature passed similar legislation, which is expected to be signed into law by Gov. Kathy Hochul.

FPC WIN: BIDEN/ATF “PISTOL BRACE” BAN VACATED
FORT WORTH, TX (June 13, 2024) – Today, Firearms Policy Coalition announced a major legal victory in its Mock v. Garland lawsuit challenging the Biden Administration’s “pistol brace” ban rule issued by the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). In the decision, United States District Court Judge Reed O’Connor granted summary judgment in favor of FPC and its co-plaintiffs and issued a final judgment and order vacating the ATF’s rule. “The Biden Administration’s ATF hates us so much that it lawlessly acted to turn millions of gun owners into felons, but FPC and our members ran towards the fire and defeated this evil,” said FPC President Brandon Combs. “Today’s order shows that our community can take on an immoral government and win. FPC members should be proud of what was accomplished today. We look forward to defending this victory on appeal and up to the Supreme Court, just as we have in other cases.”
Today’s victory is one in a line of FPC community successes against the Biden Administration. Indeed, the United States Supreme Court recently agreed to hear one of FPC’s cases in which it prevailed in the courts below.

Skyeton is participating in Eurosatory 2024 – one of the most significant events in the defense and security sector, which will take place in Paris from June 17 to 21.
A special highlight of the Skyeton booth will be the opportunity to try yourself out as a UAV operator, piloting the Raybird UAV online as it performs a demonstration flight in the skies of Ukraine, more than 2000 km from Paris.
You will be using a real ground control station, not a simulator or trainer. Before the flight, you will receive a brief instruction from company representatives, and after completing the flight you will receive a certificate for this unique experience.
Raybird is a small fixed-wing unmanned aviation system designed for extended missions, featuring an unmatched 28+ hours of continuous flight time, an exceptional range of 2,500+ km, and a maximum flight altitude of up to 5,500m. The Raybird’s reliability has been tested and battle-proven by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a valued Skyeton client.

Shield AI to Acquire Australia-Based Sentient Vision Systems and Establish Shield AI Australia
The acquisition enhances Shield AI’s software suite and expansion into Australian market
WASHINGTON (April 4, 2024) – Shield AI, the defense technology company building the world’s best AI pilot, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Sentient Vision Systems (Sentient), an Australia-based leader in AI-enabled real-time situational awareness, pending customary closing conditions and regulatory approval.
The companies will merge AI expertise and operational understanding to deliver superior intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities for today’s rapidly changing defense and security environment. In August 2023, the companies announced the joint development of a ViDAR-enabled wide area motion imagery (WAMI) solution called “Sentient Observer,” which Shield AI plans to fly this year.
“The combination of AI pilots, Sentient Observer, and teams of affordable drones like the MQ-35 VBAT will provide the same land and maritime domain awareness that today’s $40M and $180M Group 5 drones and crewed aircraft like the P-8 provide at a fraction of the price. The DoD has asked for an all-seeing eye over tens of thousands of square miles, 24/7, without the need for GPS or communication links. For Shield AI, Sentient Observer is the final piece of that puzzle. The DoD can begin augmenting and replacing their legacy solutions for a distributed, low cost, low risk solution that doesn’t break the bank if an aircraft is shot down,” said Brandon Tseng, Shield AI’s President, Cofounder, and former Navy SEAL.
“This acquisition unites Sentient’s ViDAR and our Hivemind AI pilot, creating the world’s most advanced AI-piloted ISR sensor package,” said Ryan Tseng, CEO and Cofounder of Shield AI. “Considering the imperative of covering vast maritime areas, especially in the Pacific, joining forces with Sentient was a strategic choice given their expertise in optical radar solutions. The integration of WAMI on V-BAT will revolutionize our offering, enabling Group 3-sized aircraft to perform tasks that previously required larger, costlier aircraft, significantly enhancing our customers’ operational capabilities.”
This news follows several significant milestones for Shield AI’s growth in the Australian market. In February, V-BAT received certification for Australian operations from Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). Shortly thereafter, in partnership with Shield AI’s Australian partner, Toll Aviation, the companies launched the inaugural Australian V-BAT training course.
“What stood out to us about Shield AI is that they are the only company in the world with an operational AI pilot, and therefore have the technological expertise and maturity to really deliver on the AI technology workstream underlined in AUKUS Pillar 2. The innovation breakthrough combining our computer vision AI-enabled ViDAR and Shield AI’s Hivemind will increase situational awareness, enabling quicker more effective decision making and help to save lives,” said Sentient’s CEO, Mark Palmer.
ViDAR is Sentient’s AI system, which uses an Electro-Optic or Infrared (EO/IR) sensor to detect and classify targets in the imagery stream that would be invisible to a human operator or to a conventional radar. Shield AI’s flagship product, Hivemind, is an AI pilot that enables teams of intelligent aircraft to operate and complete missions autonomously in high-threat environments, without the need for remote operators or GPS. Hivemind is an aircraft-agnostic autonomy stack similar to the self-driving technology found in cars. It has flown six aircraft, including quadcopters, the MQ-35A V-BAT, the F-16, and Kratos MQM-178 Firejet. Later this year, it will fly Kratos’ XQ-58 Valkyrie. Shield AI has accumulated more autonomous flight hours executing fighter jet maneuvers, like dogfighting, than any company in the world.
