Barrett Secures Major Contract with Norwegian Defense Materiel Agency for M107A1 Rifles04 Sep
Barrett Firearms Manufacturing, Inc. is proud to announce a significant new contract with NATO-allied Norwegian Defense Materiel Agency (NDMA). The agreement enables the Norwegian Armed Forces to upgrade their existing Barrett Model 82A1 rifles, in service since 1999, to the more advanced model M107A1.
Barrett CEO Bryan James said: “We are honored to continue our partnership with the Norwegian Armed Forces by providing the M107A1, a rifle that embodies our dedication to precision, reliability, and innovation. This move ensures that the Norwegian forces are equipped with the latest advancements in long-range firepower.”
This is an important step for NDMA and Barrett. The M107A1 rifle, chambered in .50 BMG (Browning Machine Gun), is a substantial upgrade from the Model 82A1, offering reduced weight, improved performance, greater durability and modern features tailored to meet the evolving demands of modern warfare. The M107A1 is also suppressor capable, adding a critical feature for reducing the rifle’s signature in various operational environments.
This contract highlights the NDMA’s confidence in Barrett’s ability to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet the rigorous standards of military use. The M107A1 will significantly enhance the Norwegian Armed Forces’ capabilities to engage targets at extreme ranges, destroy valuable enemy assets, and secure tactical advantages on the battlefield.

Silencer Central’s Brandon Maddox Boosts NSSF’s Protect Liberty PAC
with $50,000 Contribution Ahead of Election Day
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The NSSF’s Protect Liberty Political Action Committee (Protect Liberty PAC) announced an additional major financial boost after Silencer Central gave a second $25,000 contribution. Silencer Central’s financial support, now totaling $50,000, will be utilized to elect candidates who are dedicated to preserving and protecting liberty, freedom and the Constitutional rights of all Americans, especially our Second Amendment rights which are under constant attack by Vice President Kamala Harris, the newly coronated Democratic nominee for president and Biden Administration “gun czar.”
“Less than 60 days remain until Americans decide what the country and the Constitution will look like in the future. Our freedoms and liberties, especially our Second Amendment rights, could be wiped away by a Harris administration. Silencer Central is doing all it can to ensure that does not happen. NSSF’s Protect Liberty PAC received a second $25,000 contribution from Silencer Central and it could not have come at a better time,” said Lawrence G. Protect Liberty PAC is a federally registered “super PAC” founded in 2023 by NSSF. Protect Liberty PAC is an independent-expenditure only political committee and can accept unlimited personal and corporate contributions from companies in or outside of the industry, so long as they do not have federal contracts. Protect Liberty PAC will expressly advocate for the election or defeat of specific candidates and that advocacy will be completely independent of any candidate or political party.
Contributions to Protect Liberty PAC are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Federal law requires Protect Liberty PAC to use its best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and the name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year. Protect Liberty PAC can accept unlimited personal and corporate contributions. However, contributions from foreign nationals, federal contractors, national banks, and federally chartered corporations are prohibited.
