Compact, Rechargeable Flashlight Now Also Comes in Blue, Purple and Red
EAGLEVILLE, PA, July 10, 2024 – Streamlight®, Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting, has introduced new colors for its popular Wedge® EDC slim pocket flashlight. In addition to black and coyote, the high-performance light now is available in blue, purple and red for users who want to more easily identify their flashlight or to sport a different colored device.
As with the original Wedge, the new models are USB-C rechargeable with a thin, compact design for deep pocket carry. Featuring an intuitive rotating thumb switch, the Wedge provides two modes: a 300-lumen “constant on” mode and a 1,000-lumen momentary THRO® (Temporarily Heightened Regulated Output) mode.

The winning name is Blackthorn, an entry submitted by Tim W. from Georgia. Winchester® Continues Strong Support of NSSF First Shots Program
East Alton, IL (July 9, 2024) — Winchester has donated more than 120,000 rounds of rimfire ammunition to the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s First Shots program, a commitment to the mission of introducing more people to the shooting sports.
“This is an extraordinary show of support by Winchester for NSSF’s First Shots program,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Director, Member Development. “Through its ammunition donations, Winchester has made it possible for thousands of first-time and novice target shooters to receive an introduction to target shooting and learning how to handle and shoot firearms safely.”
NSSF’s First Shots is an introductory and refresher program made available through host target-shooting ranges across the country. By providing educational experiences that are safe, fun and memorable, host ranges are having great success in attracting first timers, further engaging new gun owners and in reactivating lapsed participants. Surveys show that more than 43-percent of First Shots participants are converted to target-shooting enthusiasts who individually spend on average more than $600 annually on their shooting sports endeavors.

All drones that require registration or that are registered must comply with Remote ID. Remote ID provides drone identification and location information through a broadcast signal while in flight.
One easy way to comply with Remote ID is to fly within a FRIA (FAA-Recognized Identification Area). A FRIA is a location where drones can be flown without Remote ID equipment.

Operate a Standard Remote ID Drone, which broadcasts identification and location information about the drone and control station. A Standard Remote ID drone is one that is produced with built-in FAA Remote ID broadcast capabilities.
If you don’t have a drone equipped with Standard Remote ID, you can operate a drone with a Remote ID Broadcast Module attached, which broadcasts identification and location information about the drone and its take-off location. The broadcast module can be added to a drone to retrofit it with FAA Remote ID broadcast capabilities. Pilots operating a drone with a Remote ID broadcast module must be able to see their drone at all times during flight.
Remote ID helps the FAA, law enforcement, and other federal agencies locate the control station when a drone appears to be flying in an unsafe manner or where it is not allowed to fly.

Yackley Family Competes at the Vortex Cup Polish IPSC Rifle National Championship
EAST ALTON, IL (July 9, 2024) — Becky, Sean, and Andrew Yackley of Team Winchester competed at the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) Rifle National Championship in Wiechlice, Poland.
Becky finished 2nd overall in the Lady’s division and Sean placed 9th in the semi-auto standard division. Participants in the semi-auto standard division are only allowed to use iron sights and must accurately engage targets out to 300 meters. The IPSC competition format requires participants to be highly accurate in order to earn the maximum points, making Sean Yackley’s performance all the more impressive.
Becky and Sean plan to represent Team Winchester and Team USA at the 2024 IPSC Rifle World Shoot in Oulu, Finland August 4-9.

Winchester Ammunition and White Flyer to Highlight SCTP National Championship
EAST ALTON, IL (July 9, 2024) — The nation’s best youth shooters are converging on the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, Ohio, for the 2024 Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) National Championship that runs July 13 – 20. The SCTP National Championship is the largest youth shooting sports event in the United States with more than 3,500 youth shooting sports athletes and 300 teams from over 30 states traveling to compete.

Brine Your Fish Filets for Added Flavor and Moisture
