Additionally, TUO wanted something specific to late season hunting that still maintained a western DNA. “Key considerations were having an exceptional warmth to weight ratio,” continued Allie. “No bulk. Less physical weight. Something without any restriction of movement while maintaining fit and form. Nivor hits all those marks.”

Nivor underwent exhaustive field testing as well, TUO collecting extensive feedback from staff and professional hunters. “With that input, we were able to strip away any bulk where insulation wasn’t needed, which led to zone insulation,” explained Allie. “Incorporating higher loft fabrics and our AeroGuard™ windproof membrane were also part of the product evolution.” 

The high-performance Nivor Jacket and Bib merges the best features of TUO’s western apparel with a focus on functionality when the temps drop later in the season.

At the epicenter is Paralite™ synthetic insulation, strategically zoned with more in the core and less in the extremities and lower torso to reduce bulk. This thoughtful design enhances mobility, making it easier to draw your bow while keeping your core warm where it matters most.

Paralite is a lightweight and breathable insulation that provides a higher fill power than similar weight polyester insulations, providing a lighter, warmer garment with less filling.

Hidden within the Nivor Jacket and Bib’s silent 2-layer design is our AeroGuard™ windproof membrane, which provides exceptional heat retention and blocks cold winds while insulation and fabric package work in tandem, effectively muffling noise to ensure stealthy movement in the field. “It’s super quiet for those pin drop mornings in the whitetail woods,” said Allie.

In keeping with the perfect placement of insulation, the fabric package follows suit with an ultra-quiet microberber fleece outer with a warm sherpa fleece lining for incredible warmth. To achieve great mobility the Nivor Jacket and Bib utilize a brushed tricot shell and nano-grid fleece lining for lighter-weight warmth while making it easier to draw back your bow and move in the field. 

Additionally, the Nivor Jacket and Bib are treated with Polygiene® StayFresh™ and OdorCrunch™ for superior odor management and features a durable water-repellent (DWR) finish to shed light moisture and keep you dry.
